Fall in love at Bayside, where sandy beaches, good friends, and true love come together in the sweet small towns of Cape Cod. Bayside Summers is a series of standalone steamy romance novels featuring alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They’re fun, flirty, flawed, deeply emotional, always passionate, and easy to relate to. Gavin is about to find out that Harper really does exist—and … really does exist—and she’s going to knock his socks off! Find out for yourself in Bayside Romance!
When screenwriter Harper Garner got a shot at the big-time in LA, she celebrated her brave cross-country move with her first and only one-night stand—connecting so deeply with the sexy, brilliant man, she broke the number-one rule of one-night stands and left her phone number. Not hearing from him was only the first in a long line of hope-shattering, confidence-busting blows. Ten months later, Harper is done with men and done with LA. She pulls up her big-girl panties and heads home to Cape Cod to start over.
On the surface, interior designer Gavin Wheeler has it all: a successful business, a loving family, and a close-knit group of friends. But Gavin once endured a heartbreak so painful, he was sure he’d never feel anything for a woman again. A chance encounter at a music festival with a gorgeous, down-to-earth blonde proved him wrong, but when morning came, the woman who made him crave more was gone.
A serendipitous evening reunites Harper with her devastatingly delicious one-night stand, and the connection is just as intense as she remembered. Harper’s life is too unsettled for a relationship, but Gavin is determined to help her find her way, especially if it leads straight to his heart. Moonlight conversations lead to steamy kisses, and as romance blooms, it stirs a love too real to deny. But when Gavin’s past collides with the life they’re building, it has the power to ruin everything.

You are lured in by the chance to fall in love again with a different couple in Bayside. The beaches and the setting of a small-town within a Cape Cod community is where you will find friends and some familiarity. The best part of all the reads are that you find old friends from previous reads. You also get the chance to make new friends.
Gavin had his chance a the once in a lifetime connection but he wakes to find her gone. Harper did the one things she never does. She jumps feet first in to a one night stand that spurs her to do another first. She leaves her number and hopes for the best. Sad to say she gets disappointed. Their one night encounter weighs on both of them until that chance second meeting. Things get the chance to change to something more or less. It all in how you see things. Watching it all unfold was what you come to expected and anticipate from Melissa Foster. Fun. Flirty. Some sass. Friendships. Courtships. Misunderstanding. Reconciliation.
I would not quite call it a second chance, but more of a second chance to make a first chance at love and more. Gavin and Harper both have things holding them back at the same time pushing them forward to each other. When life pushes hard its the way the two of them handle it that shows you the way they will move forward.
Melissa Foster has this way about giving a story substance, friendship, a sense of family, love, respect, and bonding. While still providing strength, courage, and protectiveness into both of the lead characters. She always find a way to let you catch up with those from the past while creating a future for and current side character or a new one all together. Love reading her romances.

Harper (aka Parker) was back home and Gavin finally gets to meet the elusive Harper. But he has meet this woman before. It was a defining moment in his life.
Harper had a story to tell and not just that she had already meet Gavin before on a whim. Gavin had somethings that needed to be laid bare and some was not expected or even remembered. Ever the gentleman, Gavin shows you why some men are just meant to be so much more.
Yes, I cried with this read also but not quite as much as other reads from this series. You could feel the hurt, pain, sorrow, confusion. This was so much of what I have come to expect from Melissa’s stories. It gave a feel of the world and the lives of two people that find more then tomorrow in each other.
Savannah and Jacob bring to life characters that I have had the pleasure to fall in love with and bring to life others we just now get to meet or see more of. Each character have a distinction of character and voice. The story plays out well with the pitch, tone, and clarity of the narration.
Bayside Romance tells the story of Gavin and Harper, a romantic, steamy, beautiful story.of second chance love that as always with Melissa Foster is beautifully written. This has enough heat, love, drama and angst to keep you hooked from start to finish, and I think Gavin has become one of my favourite heroes!
Melissa Foster does it again, she delivers another great read that has us wishing, or me at least, that we were a part of these fun loving friends that care so much for each other they help them see past their own fears and dive into the unknown.
To Gavin Harper was this mythical creature that his friends always talked about but he hadn’t met since moving to the cape, well their worlds are about to collide and when they come face to face it’s more than a shocker to them both.
Harper is returning to the Cape after living in California for a while, she’s done with men after a one-night-stand left her wanting more and he never called and a couple of botched relationships since, she also needs to figure things out with her life after the fiasco that happened in LA.
I absolutely loved this second-chance romance. Gavin had me swooning! He was the perfect person to help Harper with everything that she was going through. Their chemistry was through the roof, they also had a deep connection that was very special to witness.
There was a little angst in this book, some necessary some not, but either way everything was worked through fairly quickly.
Although Bayside Romance is the fifth book in the Bayside Summers series it can be read as a standalone, past characters do make appearances but each story is based on an individual couple and does not have a running story so you can start the series wherever you like.
Happy Reading!!!
Audiobook Review:
This was a good addition to the Bayside Summers series. I loved Gavin. A lot. I liked him in a previous book so was very happy for him to get his own starring role. And the second chance romance trope for his story was so well done. Not only does he have history with leading lady Harper, but just this whole other set of mental and emotional baggage I didn’t see coming. It honestly just made him even more layered then I originally thought. Harper was a good character too. But I have to be honest that Gavin was the star for me.
The story was perfectly performed by Jacob Morgan and Savannah Peachwood. These are two of my favorite voices when it comes to romance narration so I was excited for that alone. But they certainly didn’t disappoint.
I’m happy that there’s still more to come from this world and these characters and I look forward to listening to those in future.
I loved this second-chance romance from Melissa Foster, narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan. All three of them are on my list of go-to authors/narrators, and this was a great combination as far as I’m concerned.
Gavin came back into Harper’s life at precisely the right time, although she wants to stay away from the guys for a little while as she tries to get her life back on track and find her footing. What Gavin, does, however, is give her the nudge forward and the support that she needs at precisely the time that she needs it so she can figure out what she wants to do moving forward. In the end, the two of them are a great pair. Melissa Foster always writes romances that just leave you feeling good. Warm hearts, strong connections, hot times, and not a lot of drama or angst. It is just a wonderful, heartwarming story of two people falling in love and getting their happily ever after.
Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan are spot-on narrators for this book, They really both bring a lot of emotion and feeling to the story and embody the characters so well.
A really good book to read couldn’t put it down
This book addresses how to get your mojo back after you have had some bad experiences in your career and your personal life.
I love this author such great writing and the Bayside series has been great
Bayside Romance stands alone, but it would be better to read it as part of the Love in Bloom series. I read all the Love in Bloom books available 2 years ago. I like how the characters are all connected, but it was a little tough to remember all the details of the connections now.
I love the series as a whole, but it took me awhile to get into Bayside Romance because the characters’ actions didn’t really make sense to me. Who sets a girl they like up with someone else? Everything did eventually become clearer, though about halfway through I was thinking they story was in a really good place and I was surprised by how much was left. Of course, there was a relationship drama detour that I found a little excessive and a super sweet (maybe sappy) ending, but I still liked the story overall, especially the recurring character appearances. I would have actually rated the story higher if it had ended before the last round of relationship drama.
I listened to the Audible version. The narration was great, and there was a moment where I think Jacob Morgan was singing, but it was so subtle I almost missed it. Actually singing the song lyrics, making the words sound muffled or mumbled, etc.–making the story come alive– are the little details that make audio performances stand out over others. This review team was new to me, but I really liked it and would definitely listen to more narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan.

I listened to the audio version of this book. This spicy story was pretty much along the line of the other books in this extended series by Melissa Foster. In this one, Harper and Gavin had a one night stand and then lost touch. Fate brings them back together and they have to get over feelings from the past in order to see if they have a future together. Foster did throw in a blip which gave the story a little more backbone, which was greatly appreciated.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.
A past one night stand turns into a reunion and a second chance at love.
Very little angst, not complicated, no confrontation, just fun witty characters with Savannah and Jacob in your ears telling you this romance.

I simply adored this heartwarming, sweet and sexy second chance romance. Gavin and Harper unexpectedly meet again, a year after their brief but very passionate affair. Neither could ever forget the connection they both felt that lead to big changes in both their lives. Harper was off to LA to follow her dream of writing screenplays. Unfortunately she is now home feeling embarrassed after a disappointing and heartbreaking experience. She has lost her passion for writing and herself. Gavin has a new business and has reconnected with his family but still felt like something was missing. He is thrilled that the woman he has pined for is back in his life. But she isn’t the same confident, lively woman he knows she can be. He is determined to help her find her way back to herself and to him. But Gavin has his own past that could tear them apart before it really begins. I loved how patient and swoony Gavin was as he helped Harper find her strength, and passion for writing again. Narrators, Savannah Peachwood, and Jacob Morgan were amazing as Harper and Gavin. Peachwood beautifully brought out the vulnerability Harper felt and how she then blossomed into the confident, creative, loving woman she truly was. This is one of my favorite performances by Morgan as he really made me feel all of Gavins excitement, passion, humor, and heartbreak. He had me in tears for one scene especially. I loved both their performances as they made this fun, sweet & sexy romance even better.
How can a chance meeting and a one night of lovemaking turn into forever? After meeting Gavin, Harper was wondering if she would ever hear from him again. Gavin wished he could see her again , but he didnt know Harper s last name she didnt leave her phone #. He knew that she would be his forever. Little did he know she left her phone # in the small outside pocket of his suitcase. This is a story of second chances finding love again, truths, confidence and secrets revealed. Will Gavin’s deepest secret tear them apart? Can Harper find it in her heart to forgive him?
Melissa Foster story is a sweet, sexy romance of second chance of finding forever love. Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan tells their story with such emotion and love. Giving each character their own voice and personality! audiobookobsessionreview.
Loved this book
I did not want this book to end! I wanted to keep reading about Gavin, Harper, and their friends and family, but unfortunately, the book was over. If you have been an avid reader of Melissa Foster books, like I am, then you will remember Gavin and Harper from previous books, but now they have their own hot, sweet, and romantic story, and I never wanted to stop listening to this book. Actually, I have to confess that I sat in parking lots many times, still listening after I had arrived at my destination. Melissa has done it again. She has written a 5+ star book. Gavin is the man that can melt your insides, and Harper is the sweetest woman that you want with him, if it can’t be you. Then, the narrators, Savannah Peachwood , Jacob Morgan, brings the story to life, just using their voices. The combination of Melissa Foster, Savannah Peachwood, and Jacob Morgan earns this book more than the five stars that I am able to give it.
I absolutely adored this amazing book!
It’s a true romance that is captivating.
Harper & Gavin, make each page sizzle.
I truly enjoyed everything about this
must read book, from the first pages
to the last!!
This is my first time listening to Melissa Foster, so it’s also my first Bayside Book as well. It’s the fifth book in the series and a stand-alone. I didn’t feel lost at all. What I did feel was nothing short of amazing. Harper and Gavin’s story is what second changes are all about. The fact that it is set in a small town, even better.
Ever girl dreams of a guy like Gavin. He smart, funny, attentive and smoking hot. (It doesn’t hurt that Jacob Morgan is his voice either.) When he wants something he sets his mind to it. Harper is no exception.
Harper has dreams and goals, and is feeling a little lost in this world when some of those dreams get crushed. This poor girl needs her self confidence back, and Gavin is just the guy to do.
Their chance meeting is one they may or may not tell their grandkids about someday. Their second chance meeting can only be fate. I love how their story played out. It is realistic and down to earth. You could feel all of their emotions. I really didn’t want it to end.
Savannah and Jacob made this story come to life! They did an excellent job! I could listen to both of them all day long!
* AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *
This is part of a series but can be read/listened to as a standalone, I haven’t read/listened to any of the other books in this series and I still enjoyed it very much. It was times that the could have been nice to know but on the plus side I now have a new series to start on.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings

Harper Garner is having a tough time of things and needs to be around her friends. Gavin Wheeler has just received the shock of his life. Then he had me wondering what he was up to. He’s like a bulldozer. He’s going to plow right through someone’s defenses.
Our author does such a great job with her characters. I know I probably say that too much with Ms. Foster but I can’t help myself. She just has a way of making them seem as if they could be someone in your own circle of friends. You come to care about what they’re going through and want to make sure they’re going to be happy. You don’t want to see someone hurting without knowing that there’s someone there to care for them and help them when they need it.
Our narrators had me hanging on to every word. I enjoyed reading the book but once they started, I didn’t want anything to stop my listening pleasure. Ms. Peachwood brought Harper to life for me. It’s so much easier to picture the scenes when someone reads to you. Mr. Morgan had me thinking what Gavin would actually look like since I already know what he sounds like – especially how he sings. They are why I felt that 5 stars just wasn’t enough of a rating.
The places our author creates are places that you will want to visit. If you ever do visit those places, you will want to see if you can find her characters and see how they’re fairing since you last met them. As one character states “You’re real” and for some they come to feel that way – and our narrators make them seem so much more. And that includes both the happy and sad times – also when the man messes up.
Our author’s books are ones that cause you to relax – and that’s never a bad thing. It’s a great way to destress. Sometimes it’s a way to reflect on your own life and some of the choices you may or may not have made. Maybe it’s just telling someone you’re sorry and opening up and communicating which is a great start to being happy again. The sad part with any book is that all good things must come to an end. But like good friends you can visit with them at any time.
I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.
Bayside Romance, the 5th book in the Bayside Summer series was a sweet, charming novel that I absolutely loved. This second chance romance was Garvin and Harper’s story and it will have you hooked until the end. These two had intense chemistry from the moment they reconnected and you will enjoy their romance. The story was relatively angst free with just one small issue at the end that was soon cleared up. I really enjoyed this story and would highly recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance.
I listened to the audible version of this novel which was narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan. These two were great in their delivery of these characters and they brought the story to life. I enjoyed listening to them narrate this novel.
