When a sassy and disillusioned phone operator gets a hold of the power of Cupid, watch out!A mysterious caller… her job, but when one begins quizzing her about love, she finds her life turned upside down.
An unbelievable turn of events…
Turns out the creepy caller might actually be Cupid. For some unknown reason, the god of love passed on his powers to Locke, which makes no sense considering she’s never been in love and considers the whole concept overrated. Talk about an unlikely candidate!
A mission to save the gods…
Having Cupid’s powers alone might be more than she can handle, but with her godly benefactor doing a disappearing act, all the gods are in a flurry, and it’s up to Locke to save Olympus. All in a day’s work, right?
Battlefield Love is the first in a series, a slow burn reverse harem paranormal romance with sexy, godly avatars and steamy scenes.

I have been a Mila fan for awhile now but have never tried Andra. They make a great combo I must say. We get an original twist of a young woman that works as a phone sex operator only to find her life forever changed by one weird phone call. This leads to running for her life, lots of secrets, and surprisingly the powers of cupid. A great start to a new mythological RH series. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
This was a great story about a girl who finds out she is an avatar for a god.
Poor Locke is having all kinds of stuff happen to her, I’m not sure I could handle any of it. And the pull to use her god powers in a bad way is interesting and falls in line with what I have always read about gods.
I like reading things about mythology so this was a good read.
Also there was some hot sexytimes.
Battlefield Love is Book 1 in the Operation Cupid series by Skylar Andra. The world building and character development are great. The storyline is unique/original and I found myself engrossed in the story and turning pages wanting to know what was coming next. Locke, FMC, is a phone sex operator whose life is turned upside down when she receives a weird phone call and men in black suits show up and try to grab her. Apparently because of the call she is now Cupid’s avatar and has powers. She is so confused and has a lot of questions that need answered but Locke does not know who she can trust. I was truly surprised at how much I liked this story because of its uniqueness. It is fast paced with lots of action and some steamy scenes as well as twists you don’t see coming. Am super excited to see what Skyler has in store for Locke and the other avatars in the next book. This is definitely a book/series I highly recommend.
This was very surprising! What a fantastic storyline, the take on the Greek Gods here is just so fresh and original and the characters are fantastic! The writing was very well done and boy was there steam in there! I thoroughly enjoyed this read and definitely recommend it!
I had no preconceived ideas when I started reading this book and tried to keep an open mind as I am not normally a fan of books around the Gods probably as I tend to get wound up by self-centred men who love themselves however this book was an amazing read especially as Rane ( Ares ) has a certain vulnerability that just makes you want to love him.
Mads is just adorable who doesn’t love a bit of mischief and as for Byron well I can’t wait for that mystery to be unravelled. Locke out female MC is both venerable but also has an inner strength and stubbornness that is very endearing, so I really have warmed to her through the first book.
That said I loved everything else about this book and just couldn’t put it down, fantastically written with stunning and captivating characters. A must read for so many reasons. I am sure you will love this book as much as I did!!!!
I loved this unique adaption of mythology!! The characters, world building and storyline are perfectly merged while leaving us asking questions, getting answers and asking even more questions for later. I can not wait to see what is in store for Locke and the rest of the godly avatars like her.
Interesting spin on Greek mythology in modern times. With the cupid aspect in Locke, the FMC, who is slightly damaged emotionally. As she comes to terms with her new powers as she runs from those hunting her. Avatars of the Greek gods are looking for her too. Great characters and story line development with seamless co-writing. I can’t wait to continue Locke’s journey in the rest of the series.
I enjoyed this book but I do think Beta and Alpha readers would have found the mistakes that the editor missed before it was released. I like the main character but would like more background on her and the rest of the avatars, who they were before and who they are now.
I was given the opportunity to read an ARC of this novel for an honest review.
