The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory.I don’t believe that. Not when we’ve lost almost everything.I married Winter knowing what I was walking into.He married me knowing the same.We started out full of hope.Love, family, the club.We would have it all.We would do whatever it took to build our family. We would stand together through everything. But how does a couple do that when they’ve been … everything.
But how does a couple do that when they’ve been ravaged by loss?
We’re about to find out, because the biggest battles we’ve ever faced are breathing down on us and if we don’t cling to each other, we may lose the one thing we swore we’d never lose.
We may lose us.
The explosive and emotional finale of the Storm MC Reloaded series.

This is one epic MC battle.

This one gives you all the feels!!!
First I would like to say that it was awesome to see my name in the book. Andrea is an employee and then friend of Birdie’s. So awesome.
Second this story is going to take you on a ride of emotions. There are happy funny times and then times your ugly crying so have the tissues ready. It’s a great story and you don’t want to miss out on it, so go read it. You won’t be disappointed. I just love Winter and Birdie and hope you do too
Love this series….brings out all the feels. Nina is awesome!
Birdie and Winter wanted nothing more than to have a child of their own to love. The mood swings alone would have sent a less strong couple to divorce court, but Birdie and Winter were stronger than that even though there were some moments Birdie felt this was her failure, and Winter didn’t deserve a wife that couldn’t give him children.
The IVF treatments left Winter and Birdie with huge debts, a sense of complete loss, and still no child. Then Winter’s brother gets shot and dies [just a note Winter’s brother was not a member of STORM MC]. I truly felt sorry for Birdie and Winter for what they went through. Winter and Birdie seek Counselling to help with all the heart ache they suffered. Winter and Birdie meet 15 year old Maddox who has a bit of a mouth on him, a bad attitude and is rough around the edges but, Birdie found a way to build a friendship with Maddox through reading and books. It took Winter a bit longer to accept Maddox’s behavior but he did. Seeing what Maddox was going through is what gave Birdie and Winter the idea for fostering teenagers like Maddox. This book put you through a lot of different emotions. This is a MUST read book!! I truly loved this book!! Totally awesome book!!
Birdie & Winter are back again, sharing their emotionally poignant story, which, at times, can be gut wrenching. No lie, you are seriously just channeling emotions throughout this entire read. There are times when you are chuckling along with them, cause let’s face it, Winter & Birdie are fun together (Birdie is a trip! Lol). There are times when you are on edge because those Storm boys have danger around them and you’re worried about who might not make it (). And of course, what they are going through personally, their IVF journey and trying to have a baby, it’s a long, heart breaking journey, all their ups and downs, all their issues, everything they had to go through. You don’t even realize you can feel all these emotions at once, but guess what? Reading this you find out you can. It’s overwhelming and amazing!! All the feels! Oh and it wouldn’t hurt to have some tissues around
Speechless and a crying mess after reading Battle Hearts. So it took me a couple of days to pull myself together after reading this book but let’s just say this book has left me in a book-hangover/funk. This book must be read in order; to understand everything that is going to happen.
First I have to say THANK YOU, Nina Levine, for writing Winter & Bridie’s story and taking your time to make sure this book was 100%. The subject of their story is somewhat personal for me and I am glad someone wrote about the other side of IVF. I’m not going into too many details because believe me I could. But this part of Winter and Bridie’s story had me thinking a lot about the decisions I made on this subject.
Now on to Storm MC business.
Like all of the Storm books, this was load full of action and very pissed off bikers. And a shocking moment I didn’t see coming – WHY?!? But it was awesome to see the other chapters of the club make an appearance (Cough, Cough the first Storm men). I had a feeling (blank) was a snake, something just didn’t sit right with me about him.
If you have ever read a Nina Levine book then you know that she can keep you on your toes with these men, Showyou why even though they are alpha men they have a soft spot for their women and family.
BRAVO, on another great series and I, can’t wait to see what you will write next!
I have never felt so broken by a book but in a good way. It’s raw and gritty and you feel your soul crushing as you experience the consuming emotions. I can relate to some of the pain this amazing couple goes through and Nina did a beautiful job showing how painful life can be for some of us. I adore when an author gives her story real life experiences that cause you to connect with her world on so many different levels. Boy did I need tissues. As the club goes through some heart stopping issues you can’t help but love every exciting moment this book holds. The action keeps you on your toes as the emotion breaks your heart it’s truly a mindblowing journey. This series is one you all need on your TBR.
Club struggles, marriage struggles…this is a completely different look and feel for an MC book. The battles Winter and Birdie endure in this book seem much more real and that made them that much more devastating. This part of Winter and Birdie’s story delves deep into their relationship with the balance between the club, her business, and the heartbreak of so much loss. They prove that their love does conquer all, no matter how much they have to battle along the way!
Winter and Birdies struggles to have a baby is a hell of a journey and get your tissues ready cause you will definitely need them. This roller coaster ride of emotions will take you through there with all the feelings.
Winter is going through something heavy with Storm and trys to balance his club duties with his home life. Their life is in the balance and losing family is the worst.
Good conclusion to this Storm series.
What a ending to a great story. Winter and birdie story held me from the beginning and what a journey they had. Throw the ups and down of there heart breaking story you can see how true love conquered all. The journey with birdie trying to have a baby and winter trying to be a great husband and also running his club was so well put together. I would recommend this series to everyone I know
So
Hmmmm
WOW
That was …
WOW
These two, Birdie and Winter, maaaaaaaaaan did they not have it easy! Their journey is seriously lacking in rainbows and gumdrops LOL buuuuuuuut, is it really??? Hmmmmmm
Listen, this trilogy is not light. It’s emotionally draining and exhausting. But in a very good way. There wasn’t a moment in this story that I wanted to stop reading. I was rooting for these two through every single hill and valley they navigated together. It’s an outstanding journey that is very well plotted. I have no questions. I’m secure with this story now. I mean I had a lot of doubts during War of Hearts but now I see those were dumb. Nina knows what she’s doing, and she always delivers.
This is an in-your-face explosive type of story. She doesn’t pull any punches so if you have delicate sensibilities then …. *shrug* This isn’t a trigger warning, but it’s a warning that this story is raw and explicit and it will consume you from beginning to end. IT IS GLORIOUS!
I have loved Winter and Birdie’s story from the beginning and this book only made me love them even harder! From beginning to end this story tore me to pieces. And the love these two have for each other, that it could survive all the turmoil and hurt, all the stress, all the EVERYTHING and come out the other side battered, maybe even a little broken, but still holding these two together, shows just how strong true love can be.
There were so many times through this book that I just ugly cried, and others when I was so scared for their future. Ms. Levine is truly a master of her craft. The research she must have done to give her readers this story had to be immense. And to put all that information into a story that made us feel so much shows this reader how much she cares about not only her readers but also her characters. And that ending… I absolutely LOVED it!!! Phenomenal!!!
I have to say that I think this may be the most emotional read that I have gotten from Nina Levine. It is one that will stick with me for a very long time. Nina did a beautiful job delivering a story about a couple who are going through such a trying time in their marriage. It is full of struggle, heartbreak, anxiety, soul-deep grief, hopelessness, learning to overcome the grief, acceptance, and more. So much has happened that even their relationship has been pushed aside and isn’t what it once was. Not only is all that going on but you have the threats, danger and loss with the MC.
I really think Nina has outdone herself with this one. She wrote a book about a couple going through what many do and did such a great job with delivering it that it reaches inside your soul as well. I would definitely recommend this book. This is why I am such a fan of Nina. This book is so much more than just a MC romance, you can relate to it besides all the MC stuff as well. The MC stuff is just an added bonus for those of who love them.
Wow what an intensely emotional roller coaster I went on while reading this book… Winter and Birdie GAH their love for one another is undeniable, it shows in every aspect of their crazy worlds. But even the strongest love is tested when it comes to club life and fertility issues, they have to battle with enemies unknown as well as going through the treacherous trials and tribulations of IVF. It’s a long, hard battle, one that neither of them will escape without scars. Nina has again outdone herself writing about this highly emotive and sensitive subject. She’s done it in such a way that so wonderfully portrays the harsh realities, the emotional ups and downs of IVF.. I devoured this book in a day, could not put it down!! If you haven’t read this series yet, what are you waiting for!! You’re definitely in for a treat… all those testosterone filled hot alpha males and their feisty old ladies.
Battle Hearts by Nina Levine was a powerful, emotional heart wrenching story, one that will pull at your heart with each page you read. Between all of the drama, danger, betrayals and violence Winter is dealing with trying to stop another gang from interfering with his club which leads to an all out war, he and Birdie are going through a rough time. Winter and Birdie have been struggling with IVF for years their journey was informative and full of heartache as nothing they do will insure a positive outcome. Will their love be enough to survive? Through all of the drama, the stress is taking a toll on their marriage, can they survive or is all lost? Now these two have to begin all over again and remember the love they have for each other is more important then all of the hurt and loss they have endured. Can they remember all they went through to be together and that the love they feel for each other is never ending? With professional help and the commitment they have for each other, they begin the healing process and are working towards getting their life and marriage back. But when a young boy who is being protected by the club enters the scene, Birdie becomes attached to him as she guides and helps this young man as these two form a bond. Now it seems all of the club drama and wars may be over for now ensuring that the men and women of the Storm MC can get back to living a normal life. Birdie soon discovers with Winter’s love that just maybe God has another plan for her and Winter leading them to a new chapter and journey. This love story was powerful, intense and raw, Nina Levine has done such a wonderful job ending this story about these two strong amazing characters and the Storm MC Reloaded. Thank you Nina for taking us on this journey with you! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
OMG, my heart just broke in pieces for this couple, the pain and the stress and the emotional turmoil throughout this story and the series is just relentless. The strength that brings them through not just as individuals but as a couple is amazing, the abiding love they have for each other never doubted. So much is thrown at the club so Winter is torn in two with his attention but remains always available for Birdie even if its at the end of the phone. To say I wanted a happy outcome for them is an understatement, do they get it? you will have to buy the book and read it yourself to find out. Be warned though its is a roller coaster, many lows and some highs in a journey so real in the personal sense. Many couples go through this struggle and until its you its hard to understand the toll it takes on the relationship and the woman’s body, my heart goes out to anyone having to deal with these issues. The club is threatened and they all pull together to fight those threats, taking the hits but never giving in. Sadly the last book in this series but boy what a book to end with, intense, suspenseful and exciting so many issues all fighting for page space that just kept me engrossed and often on the edge of my seat. Captivating from start to finish.
OMG this book was phenomenal! I just love Winter and Birdie so hard!
This review has been one of the hardest ones for me to write to date. This book was so emotional and hit a little close to home for me. I’ve struggled with how much to say or not say, I don’t want to recap this story and give anything away, because then what would be the point of reading it right? But at the same time I want to sing its praises and beg you to take this journey.
This story is one of love, communication, hope, disappointment, faith and strength. In so many ways it’s all about life and the journey we take. Birdie and Winter have such an amazing love story and the battle they face every day make everything worth it.
Winter is so amazing and I love the way he loves Birdie. His support and unwavering devotion to her and his club makes me love him so hard. Birdie is one of the strongest characters Nina has ever written. I love the friendships she has with Cleo and Lily.
I highly recommend this book. Their journey to their HEA is so worth the ride.
I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
Nina Levine has clearly written her most heart-wrenching book to date. A story full of the most raw kind of emotions, which bleed out on every. single. page. And I still can’t get enough of the couple that is Winter and Birdie Morrison and honestly, I don’t know if I ever will. The way Levine beautifully juxtaposes the personal battles our couple is waging with the ones that Winter and his chapter of Storm are facing, is seamless. My heart was in my throat as my stomach was in perpetual knots, following their journeys both together and separately as life seemed to constantly throw them more than their fair share of obstacles.
The Author clearly did her research (as is noted in the acknowledgements) as she carefully describes the clear brutality Birdie and her man go through in trying to have a family. The utter devastation with disappointment by disappointment almost broke their fierce bond and I wondered at times right along with both of them if that would be the ultimate crack in their hard-fought foundation.
And then with all the horror being laid at Winter’s doorstep wrt enemies of his club, I could not believe how he managed to keep that part of his world as far away as he can to the newly-delicate Birdie. Her strength is still very much alive but damn, that poor woman goes through the wringer and is decidedly a newer version of her former self. But I have mad respect for Winter, the sexy beast that he is and how he handles everything thrown at him seemingly with ease.
There are tragedies that are still hard to fathom as the Author separates this book into 2 parts with a bit of a time jump letting us see first-hand just how much tension Winter and Birdie have had to live with for way too many years. I am in awe of the way they both flayed their souls open in order to not only stay together but to find a way to heal when this crazy world just couldn’t stop letting them down.
With the constants that are besties in Cleo and Lily, I was happy that Birdie had this support system when she needed it most. Winter’s brothers in arms, like Ransom, Memphis and Hunt, were his saving grace more than once. And in the end, it’s this wildly unconventional kind of family that is at the core of this and all the other books in this series. That no matter what, they have each other’s backs, no matter is there is blood between them.
Reading Battle Hearts certainly felt like waging a war more than once but it’s the tenderness and the unbreakable bond that Winter and Birdie have for one another that smooths out all the rough patches they encounter.
A love like no other, I can’t wait for that little bit more that is promised on February 14th when this beloved couple get just a little more time in the sun.
But in the meantime, I happily give Battle Hearts a huge 5 stars!
I first met Birdie and Winter in Hurricane Hearts and to say that they had worked their way into my own heart would be an understatement. This story teaches us that life isn’t always easy, but it also shows us that having the love and understanding of someone close to you, plus your own individual strength, can make all the difference when moving on from those difficult times in our lives, and I hoped that Birdie and Winter’s love for each other would be strong enough to withstand all the heartache and troubles that they found themselves facing in Battle Hearts, and find the happiness that they both deserve.
Nina Levine takes us on an incredible journey in this book. I experienced a roller coaster of emotions as I witnessed the highs and lows of this chapter in Birdie and Winter’s lives. I thought the author did an amazing job of showing us the demands that both Birdie and Winter faced individually and together as they tried so hard to realise their dreams. Watching them having to deal with real life issues throughout the book was heartbreaking at times and because I adore this couple, I found some of it hit me hard.
There is plenty to smile about in Battle Hearts, I promise you that too. The love that this couple share and the joy that their family and friends bring to their lives (and indeed what they give to others) will put that smile on your face and lighten your heart. As I said earlier, this book had me feeling many emotions and I wouldn’t have missed reading this for the world.
I was engaged from the very first chapter and hated having to put my kindle down when real life got in the way of reading. This book, this series actually, is an absolute must read. I have loved spending time with Birdie, Winter and all the Storm men and I hope that this isn’t the last we see of them.
I don’t know where to begin with this book. It was everything, more than everything. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so hard over a book. I mean legit, lying in bed, tears streaming down my cheeks. I cannot recommend this book enough, just all the freaking stars.
Winter and Birdie are undeniably the strongest couple that I have ever read. The things that they endure and have endured are just unimaginable. They’re real and raw. My heart aches for them and roots for them every step of the way. Their passion for one another is electric and all consuming.
You need to take this journey with Winter and Birdie. Nina’s way with words just awaken my very soul, in a breath-taking all consuming kind of way. A story that just begs to be read.
Where do I start? Battle Hearts is the perfect description of this captivating, breathtaking heartbreaking emotional storyline.
Winter and Birdie Morrison have been battling from all sides. Club problems, marriage struggles, betrayal heartwrenching losses that have put all of the Storm family through such heartache, devastating and destruction.
These characters are complex, struggling with such constant turmoil trying to live the best way they can while protecting their families.
Living the Storm lifestyle and dealing with danger and impending pain and violence that comes with that lifestyle, watching as it takes its toll on the Storm MC families has your emotions constantly captivated with what will happen next and the strength needed to keep your family safe.
I highly enjoyed and recommend this series the love strength forgiveness and devotion shown
amongst the kaos is what love of family is all about.
