The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory.I don’t believe that. Not when we’ve lost almost everything.I married Winter knowing what I was walking into.He married me knowing the same.We started out full of hope.Love, family, the club.We would have it all.We would do whatever it took to build our family. We would stand together through everything. But how does a couple do that when they’ve been … everything.
But how does a couple do that when they’ve been ravaged by loss?
We’re about to find out, because the biggest battles we’ve ever faced are breathing down on us and if we don’t cling to each other, we may lose the one thing we swore we’d never lose.

Battle Hearts was the third and final book in the Storm MC Reloaded series. It was the conclusion to Winter and Birdie’s story within the Melbourne chapter of the Storm MC.
The story was told within two parts. The first part was in the present (or was that the past?) and the second part fast forwarded seven years.
I hate to say it but I didn’t like Birdie this go around. I won’t elaborate because it was only my opinion and not necessarily the majority, but I struggled with her. I did, however, admire the personal aspect of the storyline. Levine tackled a tough subject with explicit moment by moment detail that it was likely very realistic. Total respect for Levine. With that said, the process was too detailed for my mood and I was ready to move a little quicker with more complexity to the storyline.
As to the MC conflict, that was my favorite part of the book and I would have preferred more detail allotted to this side of the plot during the first part of the book. I enjoyed the MC focus on the last half, but it was difficult to follow with so many moving parts. I did, however, stick with it and it eventually came full circle providing a conclusion.
All in all, this was not my favorite series. However, it may be yours so it’s worth the read. Levine is still one of my favorite authors and luckily, there are many favorites so far and I have no doubt there will be many more in the future.
Battle Hearts is part of the Storm MC Reloaded Series by Nina Levine. This is the first book I read by her. I was drawn into the book immediately. Battle Hearts definitely gives you a very emotional rollercoaster ride. Winter and Birdie go through so much turmoil you wonder if their marriage will survive. I respect that Nina Levine does not sugar coat anything. She gives a raw and honest perspective to a sensitive issue that is not often addressed. Well done Nina Levine!
(3.8 stars) Are you ready for more Winter and Birdie? We met these two in Hurricane Hearts and how they grew together as individuals before coming together. This book is about Winter’s role in the MC while balancing his life/family with Birdie. They still have some emotional battles to fight including the struggle to have children and all the emotional ups and downs Birdie goes through using fertility meds to start their family, while Winter tries to battle enemies of the club. Can they work through everything and come out stronger in the end? This is the final book in the storm reloaded series and I would recommend reading Hurricane Hearts prior to understand their full journey. This is told in two parts spanning seven years. I enjoyed part two more personally as I felt the story picked up more. Part one is more an inside look about what one goes through in the fertility process. Told in dual POV
