This is the 2nd book in this awesome series and is Red and Kylee’s story. This is a beautifully written story which covers their journey of self-discovery and is an emotional roller coaster ride throughout. This story is also filled with drama, suspense, sizzling chemistry, family, loyalty, brotherhood, and love, which all had me enthralled throughout this addictive page turner. I recommend for all MC lovers.
Red learned some life-changing information. His decision not to share it with his blood and club family left him unsettled. Still, he did his jobs and maintained club honor.
Kylee had been on the run for years. She came to her childhood hometown. A town with both good and horrific memories. She lived by meager means even with too little food and her car her home. But she made it without letting loose until she couldn’t take it anymore and reacted knowing it meant the loss of her job. When even her car failed her, Red and the club came to her rescue. A rescue she neither asked for or wanted.
Red took her to a place of safety. He promised her job would be saved since his brother caused the problem. The club would make it right. There was something about this woman. He didn’t trust women. Didn’t want one in his life. So, why did she get to him?
She just wanted to run again. Her idea of coming here was a bad one. She’d been running for so long this shouldn’t be different.
The relationship grows and Red deals with his internal pain while making this woman feel safe.
How will his feelings change when he learns of her past and why she is running?
The club always honors and respects innocent women. Can she trust him? Can he convince her to trust them and let them help her? I like this club and its rules of honor and loyalty. The characters are interesting, funny, and steamy hot. This is book two in the series and I have two more waiting to be read. I recommend it.
Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
What a wild ride! I definitely advise reading the previous series regarding these character’s parents, because it will make more sense especially in this book regarding Red’s background. I was definitely intrigued by this storyline after the bombshell from the beginning of the book, and was interested to see how it played out. Combined with Red’s childhood and struggles he goes through throughout the book because of it, I was so thrown by the character of Kylee and her background and became extremely invested in her making it out of the story happy. They both have issues and pasts that need to be addressed and it takes them getting together and supporting each other in order to get them resolved once and for all. This was a great storyline and provided us some great characters along with others that I hope to see revisited!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Phenomenal!!
The characters, writing and flow of the storyline in this book is absolutely phenomenal. It’s so real, raw and honest that the emotions pour from every page. You connect with characters immediately. This story hits really close to home for me and I think all of it was captured perfectly for those who haven’t experienced it can get a great idea of what it feels like for these characters in their situations.
Red and Kylee both have pasta full of secrets, secrets that were kept from them, but together they battle the storm and find their truths and a better future.
Highly recommended!
This is the second book in the Hellions Ride On series. They are connected, but are stand alones.
This is Red’s book.
Red finds out a huge family secret. If you’ve read the Hellions, then you know what that secret is. He doesn’t really know how to process it and deal with it. Why has he been lied to his entire life? Why didn’t he know? I don’t want to say much about it, incase you haven’t read, or don’t remember. I would hate to give anything away.
Kylee is new to town. She’s from Haywoods Landing, but it’s been a long time since she’s been there. It’s not by choice that she left either. You do find out everything about her past.
She is good for Red. They’re both good for eachother. This was a great read.
OMG this series is awesome! A must read. Can’t wait to read Bleed For It!
This is Red’s story it’s full of so many emotions it makes you feel what he’s going through. Chelsea did a great job of expressing and showing his feelings it is a very touching story. I loved the whole story and wouldn’t change a thing about it. I highly recommend this book it’s so worth your time. Can’t wait to see who’s story will be next.

Bastard in It was the second book in Chelsea Cameron’s Hellions Ride On series, the Hellions Ride spin off series highlighting the next generation.
Kenneth “Red” Oleander was the first born son of Sass and Tank from Forever Ride (book two, original series). He grew up in the MC and was grounded in family, loyalty and brotherhood. We learned immediately what we knew from Forever Ride, but what Red was just learning. His foundation was rocked but he was learning to cope.
Kylee May Grayson was on the run. She was homeless and had secrets but she was strong and determined to prevail. After many years, she found her way back to Haywood’s Landing, not in the same position, but back home none the less.
I thoroughly enjoyed Bastard In It. I loved both the storyline and the characters. Camaron started out with a suspenseful and mysterious vibe that was unraveled as the layers were peeled back. I was kept intrigued and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. There were two underlying storylines that although weren’t related, had similarities that brought cohesion to the overall plot. For me it was a five star except for the numerous editing errors, thus the four star rating.
All in all, it was a fast and heartfelt read and I didn’t want it to end. Red and Kylee took us on an emotional journey that I’m glad I took. Camaron summed it up best through Kylee’s thoughts: “We are these two lost souls finding our way through it all together.”
Bastard in it: Hellions Motorcycle Club is book two in the new series Hellions Ride On written by the talented Chelsea Camaron. This new series are about the second generation of the Hellions MC, a spin off.!! Book two is about Kenneth “Red” Oleander and Kylee May Grayson. Red is the first born son of Savannah ‘Sass’ Perchton and Frank “Tank” Oleander. Bastard in It, is a very emotional and heartfelt story of two restless souls trying to overcome lots of deep feelings and hard life experiences. The plot also has all my favorites; action, sexy bikers, sassy ladies, family banter, steamy sex, secrets, lots of drama plus so much more. Chelsea Camaron does it again, this is must read more than 5 stars story. NO SPOILERS, BUT you’ll need lots of tissues. Can’t wait for more !!!!
Bastard In It was probably one of the most emotional MC romances that I have read by Chelsea Camaron. The hurt, despair, confusion and utter heartbreak can be felt deep in your soul as you read this book. As we dive deeper into Red’s birth, that as a Hellions fan we knew about, however more sides of the story are now in play. The effects a secret creates as the truth surfaces and the insecurities it manifests. As Kylee and Red feel a connection to each other and truths are laid out between them, a love builds but will it be strong enough to stop the walls from falling down around them. This book is one of not only love but family and learning that blood is not always thicker than water.
This is Book 2 in the Hellions Ride On series. OMG!!! I just want you to know in advance that you may need a Kleenex or two as you read it. Chelsea Camaron continues to get better with each book that she writes. She just amazes me with this book. She ended up digging down deep inside me and pulled just about every emotion out of me as I was reading. This is a very emotional story involving Red and Kylee. So many things happen to them that causes them to be so strong. I’m not sure what I can say because I don’t want to give anything away. You just need to read it. There are things happening that will hurt deep inside you. Just keep reading and you will understand why. I don’t think I have wanted to kick so many MC members butts before but, in this book, you will want to physically hurt everyone of them. And some more than others. As I said, the author just amazed me. I know it was hard for her to write, too, so I just want to say how much I loved it. I think you will, too.
Tissues are needed!
Damn my heart hurts for both Kenneth “Red” Oleander and Kylee May Grayson.
I knew at some point in this series that Red would come to find out about Nick (bio-daddy), but it’s the how is found out that got me! With all that the Hellions are, I was surprised when Red didn’t turn to his family to ask those needed questions, instead of trying to deal with the situation on his own.
Kylee May hasn’t had an easy life and is constantly on the run from Raymond Gill, who happens to hate the Hellions, especially one Lee “Tags’ Mays.
With the ride that life is taking these two on – this quote from their story is quite fitting, “We are these two lost souls finding our way through it all together”.
Tissues were needed throughout this story. Glad that Ms. Camaron could put my heart back together again!
