Barron rues the day he helped rescue Lily after she was kidnapped, for the woman has been a thorn in his side ever since. With a murderer in their midst, he has no time for her antics. Yet she is forever in the way.Lily doesn’t trust Barron. Like all men, he says one thing and does another. But whether he likes it or not she owes him for his part in rescuing her. And she always pays her debts.
A really good Western romance.
This romance starts off with Barron’s twin, Bishop marrying Lily’s sister, Rose. And as much as Barron adores his new sister-in-law to be, he can’t stand her sister… and the feelings are mutual. Well, sort of.
The sixth book in the Seven Brides For Seven Brothers series should definitely be read in the order it is written. Each book builds on from the last one and sets the stage for the following book.

I’ve been waiting for this book, and it just makes me eager for the last book in her Seven Brides for Seven Brothers series. Kathleen Lawless is an amazing author, and this story, like her others, is a winner.
Rose and Bishop’s wedding continues the previous book in a very satisfying way, and now Lily and Barron are pretending to be a couple. The should be careful because sometimes pretending comes true. Waiting to see the bad guy get his comeuppance.
The story picks up with Bishop and Rose’s wedding at the Copper Moon Ranch. Her sister Lily is the maid of honor; his twin Barron is best man. Thank goodness that there are no issues at the wedding or reception. But the brothers know that Guy Hawkes and his goons are up to something. They always are. Lily has a plan to ruin Hawkes, and drags Barron in on it. Now all they need is a fake wedding. This is a really nice twist on the fake wedding theme. I enjoyed seeing both Barron and Lily squirm – they get under each other’s skin, but can’t stop thinking about the other. Not all the drama has been resolved by the end of the book, but we know there’s one more to come – Benjamin still needs a bride…

Another Excellent Installment
I have read this entire series so far, and I have enjoyed most of the books. I look forward to each installment. This is one that I certainly enjoyed. The hero and heroine clearly do not like each other at the beginning. His twin brother has married her sister; this wedding actually takes place right at the beginning of the book. Our heroine feels like she must do some good in the world before she moves on to her next destination and decides to take Hawkes, who has been the evil character in this entire series, down herself. Soon, though, she and Barron start to work together on this project while not telling the rest of the Mason Brothers. (FYI, Bishop and Barron are the only two blood-related brothers in the group. The rest of the men have simply chosen to all be in the group led by Brody Mason.) The couple stayed adversarial for quite a while, even while working together. I thought that stage went on perhaps a little too long, but it was interesting to watch the flip in their change of feelings towards each other. His seemed almost instant, though he didn’t know quite what to make of it, but she took a little longer to come around to the idea. There is only one unmarried Mason brother left at this point, and I am looking forward to that book! (Though I will be sorry to see the greater story end.)
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Barron and Lily can’t stand each other, but they concoct a plan together to take down Hawkes once and for all. Their anger at each other turns to passion, but will that deepen to love? There was plenty of action and humor in this historical romance. Questions still remain at the end of the book and Ben still needs to find his own happily ever after.
Book six in the Seven Brides for Seven Brothers series a well written story that has a great storyline, the story flowed smoothly across the pages. Lily and Barron’s story of suspense, drama, danger, and two people that have to realize they love each other. I want to read the next book, I want to know where Hawke is. Barron and Lily were attending the wedding of Rose and Bishop. Right from the start Lily didn’t care much for Barron whose disposition she thought destroyed the mood of the wedding, so she looked past him as if he didn’t exist. Listening to his twin pledge love forever to Rose sounded like a long time to Barron. The brothers and their wives all lived there at the Copper Moon Ranch; he and Ben were the only two singles left unmarried. He looked again at Lily and just didn’t trust her. He hoped she would leave town after the wedding.
When Barron and Bishop had found Lily, after Rose had “seen” her being kidnapped, she pretended to have lost her memory. He didn’t believe it for a minute. Now he regrets having helped to rescue Lily since he feels she has been nothing but a thorn in his side ever since. When they have a serious problem to deal with, he has no time for Lily’s antics and the fact she is forever in his way. But unfortunately for Barron, Lily feels that she owes him for rescuing her, and she won’t turn her back on him until she repays that debt!
Hawkes is always causing the brothers problems. Now Lily’s “help” in trying to bring down the villain is going to cause even more problems for Barron. You won’t want to miss this story and especially the inevitable fate that awaits Barron!
Cute story with memorable characters that the reader will enjoy. Grab your copy and watch the lady in action!
This is a hate/love romance with Lily and Barron. Her sister Rose just married his brother Bishop and they both stood up with their siblings at the wedding. When they decide to help their town to get rid of Mr. Hawkes who have been stealing and killing around the town. Their plan is to fake a romance with each other and she is to get the deed to his family ranch which she will turn over to Mr. Hawkes.
The only thing wrong with their plan is they fell in love with each other. Wonderful book.
As the series is wrapping up this friends to lovers trope is well written and very enjoyable. Kathleen Lawless is at the top of her keyboard in this one,
Great western romance series!
