All Talk and No Action
This could have been a great story but it was all dialogue and very little action. It was more like a soap opera than anything. The story goes on and on with nothing really happening.
If this is the kind of romance you like, then I’m all for it, but I read historical romances for the action first and Romance second.
I did not enjoy the book even though it’s well written. I couldn’t get interested in the characters.
Nothing new about the story of characters. Writing was a bit stiff.
Didn’t bother to finish it.
I have read every one of Tamara Leigh’s medieval and time travel novels and I can say that without doubt she is my favorite author. I have never been disappointed by her books.
While the actions of the hero and heroine in this story seem to have been developed by a very naive teenager, the plots, twists and turns as the story progressed were entertaining.
Wonderful! As is anything Tamara Leigh writes!’
I really enjoyed Tamara Leigh’s books. Very well written, entertaining and kept my interest all they way through.
After years of fueding between 3 families, the king commands that they make alliances through marriage.
A surprising set of romances (clean). Plenty of villains and misunderstandings to complicate the plot.
A bit of action.
Lovely, could not put it down without finishing.
Nicely written. Although there were many characters to keep track of the author simplified with their constant appearance or reference throughout.
They despised each other prior to meeting based on their familial history and false rumors that had been spread about them. They met and realized that what they knew was not reality and found they liked, and grew to love the person each was.
An angry baron who would never hurt a woman.
An abused lady who wants to believe the rumors are false.
Together they help each other find happiness and forgiveness.
Recommend.
While I found the beginning a little confusing, proper names versus Baron of, I enjoyed the book as either my mind or the plot cleared. There’s plenty of intrigue to keep you reading. Very subtle sex for those concerned.
I liked this book very much. The villain in this book was truly scary. Made you fearful for the people you care about in the story. The hero was flawed but the author made you care for him and the sweet girl that was thrown into marriage with him. Good book.
Good plot twists and pulls it together in the end. Entertaining like it should be.
Couldn’t finish it.
I read the whole trilogy. This author is great! I found myself unable to put them down and her characters were so real. I found she was able to put me right there. In the story. word building..had to look up a couple of words I was unfamiliar withwould make great movies!
I really like this book
great to read again
I loved it. Could not put it down.
Liked the mystery in it, too. And the hesitant romance.
