Love Regency novels….this one is pretty good!
This novel, like most of the historical romance novels, follows the rather predictable formula. You have a lady with a family problem that is so terrible it cannot be discussed and you have a rich nobleman, the obvious fix but, of course, she does not see it. The dialogue, while not especially witty, was entertaining. I did not get bored and who doesn’t like a happily ever after!
Interesting characters. Good read
Loved it, very empowering to see a woman who has this confidence and strength to endure life’s challenges and be cunning enough to persevere!
I really enjoyed this. I liked both lead characters and you could understand why they were the way they are.It was not as silly as most regency books and there was more to the story than just falling in love for each other’s beauty.
Period romances are a quick entertaining read.
I enjoy a book that has you guessing.
Enjoyed the irony.
You know a book is good when you wish it would never end end! Truly enjoyed the characters and dreaded coming to the last page!!
This book was pretty good… the storyline was interesting. However the ending left me unfulfilled. Very disappointed.
This is a funny, steamy read with interesting characters. I enjoyed it immensely.
Alex and Gillian. Will they or won’t they become a couple? There are tons of twists and turns in this story, lots of conniving and angst. Good strong characters and a most enjoyable read.
