Theia is back in Harmony Harbor and her boss is the one that has her stuck there for at least a month. Thanks to some rowdy twins on her flight and a fireman who thinks he saved her she has to wait for her plane to be fixed. What’s a girl to do? She can’t wait to leave and hates what she has agreed to do for her boss but her past just won’t let her go. She feels she must right wrongs and needs the money to accomplish that so she is stuck in a town she doesn’t want to be in spying on people that she likes. Meanwhile fire fighter Marco is dealing with his own issues. He has women in his life that think she should be married by now and they are eager to set him up with some new arrivals. He’s not ready to get married and knows that his Mrs. Right hasn’t come along yet. It doesn’t help that the women they are trying to set him up with are sisters and they don’t mind fighting over him. Marco decides to ask Theia if she will help him and pretend to be his new girlfriend. She agrees and doesn’t see the harm in pretending until things start to feel and seem real. She isn’t sure what she wants to do though, she has never been good with relationships and doesn’t quite know how to deal with her feelings. When a secret emerges about Theia Marco sees her in a different light and doesn’t want anything more to do with her. Theia hurt and confused thinks it’s time for her to leave town and try to move on with her life. Follow along as Theia and Marco not only deal with the feelings they have for each other but the secrets that can’t remain hidden anymore. Will true love win in the end or are these two destined to be alone forever. I love this series and the wonderful detail the author puts into every word. The characters are fun and easy to get to know, you’ll be rooting for love when it comes to each of them. The plot lines are put together in a way that takes you right into the story and doesn’t let you out until the end. I can’t wait for each new book and always look forward to what she has to offer in her writing!!!
Theia is a pilot who has a past she want to forget. She brings the Gallagher sisters home to spend some time with their father Daniel. Penelope’s two little boys are nicknamed by Theia as Terror 1 and Terror 2 because they tried to set her plane on fire.
Marco is a firefighter and he gets the call that the plane is going to explode if they don’t get the fire out so he comes rushing in with his hose ready and it malfunctions and knocks Theia down.
As usual Debbie Mason does an awesome job with this story. I really enjoyed it and think that you will too
I loved it! Marco the dashing fireman. Theia the badass fighter pilot. Two strong opinionated people that love a challenge. Throw in Daniel, his daughters and 2 sons and you get madness and mayhem. You also get family that rises to the occasion. The ending was sigh worthy.
With it’s beach locale, warm-hearted story line, and welcoming characters Barefoot Beach is destined to make a perfect addition to your summer reading list! From the very first chapter I found myself smitten with it’s wonderful cast of characters, and delighted by their matchmaking antics, they had me giggling more than a few times. There was also a bit of family drama and emotion mixed in here and there that put a nice little squeeze on my heart too. I really enjoyed this one, definitely one of my favorite additions to the Harmony Harbor series,it kept me thoroughly entertained from start to finish! Highly recommend.
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
A delightful summer romance to read, entertaining even in times when there was tension in addition to a touch of the supernatural and suspense .
Marco is the perfect firefighter hero, brave, loyal, beautiful and full of love to give, he only has a few panics that he will learn to face along with the determined and strong Theia.
Theia is a woman who has not known her father and was raised by very strict uncles and cousins, so he grew up to be unshakeable but gradually realizes how important it is to entrust her vulnerability to another person.
Her moments with Marco are full of chemistry and smiles and the mission that she sets herself to accomplish generates strong suspense in the plot.
I loved the fact that It had a lot of characters active in the plot because that brought agility to the story.
I loved Theia and Marcus story. It was a very enlightening read and I loved how the story unfolds. I always didn’t see some things coming as the ghost tries to communicate with family members to make sure the house stays in Harmony Harbor. It’s a very light read and a book where you can really sit and really enjoy. I truly loved the book.
I received and ARC copy and the review is my own thoughts.
Do you ever have one of those series that you somehow just forget how good the books are until you start the next one? Harmony Harbor was like that for me. It’s like an “oh, yeah!” moment. I knew in the first couple of pages that I was really going to enjoy this book. When the male character repeatedly knocks the heroine on her butt with a fire hose, you know you’re in for a fun ride!
Theia was a really strong heroine. An ex-navy pilot, now a private pilot, she sure doesn’t want to be thrown over some overgrown fireman’s shoulder butt up. I did love how Marco just did what needed to be done and didn’t listen to her protests.
There is a ghostly grandmother and an unusually competent cat in this book, but they just add to the delightful story of a woman finding family and love all at one time. Wonderful!
I won a copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own.
Barefoot Beach is Debbie Mason’s latest (last?) Harmony Harbor novel. The final secrets of Harmony Harbor are reveled and the fate of the manor settled. Along the way we watch Marco and Theia get their own HEA. This is one of my favorite series and I’m sad to see it ending, but I can’t wait to see where Mason goes next…I know I will be following.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.
Every time I read a book in this series I fall in love with it all over again. I just love the characters to pieces. It makes me wish I could visit Harmony Harbor. I loved Marco and Theia. It may have started out as pretend in their minds, but there was no way the chemistry was going leave it that way. Marco is a delicious fireman and he has many swoon worthy moments. Then Theia shows you the inner strength and the beauty of girl power. Though her reasons for why she is at Greystone Manor aren’t on the up and up you know in your gut she a good person. Her true colors will outshine the darkness she thinks she deserves to be in. With every book in the series secrets are a big part of the book. There are several secrets going on that alter lives some for the good and some that prey on minds. These secrets could tear families and relationships apart. This book was so hard to put down because I’m so invested in those in the Greystone Manor. The characters pull you right in and they don’t you up for air until you’re finished reading. It’s a book you want to gobble up, but one you hate to see end. It’s definitely a must read!
I really enjoyed this next book in this series. There was so much mystery and suspense to keep me turning the pages. The main characters and secondary characters are wonderful and their personalities are so much fun. I also liked Colleen, the resident ghost who just wants the Gallaghers to keep Greystone Manor in the family. She also wants Daphne, Penelope, and Theia to become real sisters.
I enjoyed the relationship between Theia Lawson, the pilot and Marco DiRossi, the firefighter. What started off as a fake relationship to get away from their grandmothers fixing them up on dates turns into something more if they can overcome all of the obstacles they have to face. The story will keep you on the edge of your seat at times to see what happens to Theia and Marco. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Barefoot Beach was a fun read with several twists that kept things interesting, and I enjoyed the touch of paranormal that was added with Colleen’s character.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy.
Barefoot Beach is a sweet entertaining story that’s a perfect holiday read.
Debbie Mason is a new author to me but after reading Barefoot Beach I have to wonder why I haven’t come across her books before now because if this book is anything to go by I need to look at her other works. This book is actually book 8 in the Harmony Harbor Series but I’m proof this book can be read as a stand-alone and I still really enjoyed my at time at Harmony Harbor.
The residents of Harmony Harbor take it on themselves to help others find love and happiness and this time around its firefighter Marco DiRossi and Theia Lawson’s turn. To try and stop the matchmaking Marco decides to be one step ahead and enlists Theia in a fake relationship and let everyone believe they have fallen in love ……. but what happens when feelings rise to the surface…..
This is a easy to read romance, it’s sweet, it has adorable characters and it had some moments that left me smiling like a Cheshire Cat. All in all a enjoyable read for all lovers of romance
What an amazing story this author took me on!
Meet Marco, his grandma is ready for him to meet someone and get married and can’t help but meddle in his love life. When he meets Theia, he doesn’t exactly make the best first impression, but as these two team up, with a fake relationship to keep the matchmakers in town out of their lives, will it stay fake or will they end up falling for each other!
Let’s not forget that while the matchmaking is going on, Debbie keeps your interest going with a mystery going on as well.
This story was so well written, it will keep you turning all the pages! 5 sea shells for this great story, grab it asap!
Another great story by Debbie Mason.
Wonderful story and characters.
We are back to Harmony Harbor, this story is about Theia and Marco, loved the way their relationship progresses.
Great summer read
This book was amazing! If you haven’t yet read her Harmony Harbor series please take the time to explore this series. You will fall in love with each of the characters in every book. I have not read one that disappointed me.
Barefoot Beach is the latest addition to the Harmony Harbor Series. As with all of Debbie Mason’s books in this series we readers deal with a spirit in the netherworld watching over her family, we experience twists, turns, love, betrayal and family conflict. It all adds up to a wonderful recipe for happiness in the end.

Whenever I get my hands on a Debbie Mason book I never know what fun things she will have in store. I loved this book so much, I really love the Gallaghers and the Greystone Manor, they are a fun group of people. I really liked Marco he seemed like a fun guy with a good heart. I think both Theia and Marco both in a way faced issues from their past but each had a way of facing it either head on or in a round about way but either way the book was super emotional and got right to the heart. I loved everything about this book, such a sweet read. There was some suspense to the book which made it a total pager turn and well worth the read. You really can go wrong with this fun read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion
4 star review of Barefoot Beach (Harmony Harbor #8) By Debbie Mason
Debbie Mason is a new author to me. I didn’t realise that this was book 8 in the series and although it can be read as a stand alone it may be beneficial to read the previous books in the series as I think it will make the read more enjoyable.
It appears that the people of Harmony Harbor have decided that Theia Lawson should be next to find happiness. Marco DiRossi is a firefighter and he is determined to best the nosy matchmakers at their own game so he enlists Theia to pretend they have fallen in love. After all it’s only for the summer, what could go wrong? As their pretend relationship slowly morphs into more, will they take a chance?
Secrets have a way of surfacing and Theia has many. What will happen to the blossoming relationship when they are revealed?
Will Marco get over his initial reaction and decide that Theia is worth the risk or are they destined to be alone forever?
Just finished this awesome book… Barefoot Beach by Debbie Mason..
This book pulled me in right from the first page and kept me turning the pages until the end. I did not want to put this book down.
Marco and Theia story is full of ups and downs… Lots of laughs…. Colleen and Simon (ghost) add so much to the story..
It has drama, romance, lies, a little mystery, twists and turns that will keep you entertained
Highly recommend this book. Perfect summer read.
