I met the woman of my dreams at my sister’s wedding.I was standing on the edge of the dance floor talking with my cousin when she walked right up and asked me to dance. A woman has never approached me like that before, bold and full of confidence. I’m a big guy and in my military dress uniform I can appear to be quite intimidating. My size didn’t faze her though, she walked right up grabbed my … up grabbed my hand and dragged me out onto the dance floor.

Too bad I am already married.

Let’s start off by saying this is a brand new author for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our first read by them.
This was story unique I have never read a book like this before so it was a bit refreshing. This story was a bit emotional but, not in a heart wrenching way.Emmaline and what is happening to her it tragic and sad and even though she is dying her life is about living her last days to the fullest and making new friends and love and laughter and seeing to her family before she goes.I found this women to be so strong and brave and loving and we loved her witty sense of humor.
Then you have Davan who was the complete opposite and bit of a bear and controlling and overwhelming and threating and his constant presence is like that but, due to his occupation you understand him better this way and why he is the way he is but, his situation makes him vulnerable and he just hates that and he is an honorable man.
Davan and Pia (nickname) definitely had chemistry and their romance was a bit unconventional but, it made for some really laugh out loud moments and some heartbreaking ones to.We loved the love hate kind of thing going on between the two but, it really wasn’t hate just a whole lot of bad timing and the situation itself.
We loved the unlikely friendships that formed and you could tell that if things were different it would be a lasting one. Then you had Pia friends who made us laugh time and time again and how Pia’s work situation here again made some pretty laugh out loud moment as well.
Overall we really enjoyed the story from cover to cover. The story made us sad but, it was also funny and then you had some some really interesting surprises that arose with its character’s that we didn’t see coming. We really loved the characters and found them fun and refreshing.Looking forward to part two of the series and the series itself whetted by appetite to go back a read the series from the very beginning.
Davan met the girl of his dreams at his sister’s wedding. The only issue that he has is the fact that he is married to someone else. When Seraphina/Pia drags the perfect guy on the dance floor, she never imagined he was married, but thats how it always goes. The good ones are always taken. The two actually end up running into each other more than once, and each time leaves a bigger lasting impression than the last. Davan is beating himself up as he is supposed to be taking care of his wife and their daughter, and preparing for the inevitable future that is heading their way. Pia struggles with her thoughts as every time she see Davan, her thoughts turn up the heat in their naughtiness. Will Pia understand Davan’s situation when she finds out more about it? Will anything come of the attraction the two have for each other?
So while this is the first part of Davan’s story, there are previous stories for the other characters. I found this to just be an ok story, lots of drama, and lots of emotions with this read. EJ’s situation hit just a little too close to home for me, that whole part of the story line emotionally wrecked me. You can actually understand Davan’s whole dilemma and the tight spot that he was in. I give this 4 stars.
This is the first past of Davan and Pia’s story. Davan meets the girl of his dreams at his sisters’ wedding, but the only problem is he is already married. No spoilers, this is a must read. This is a well written story which is gritty, humorous, and steamy with a tad drama, which all leads to an emotional roller coaster journey throughout. I look forward to reading the next book in this engaging story, and I recommend for all.
Davan met the girl of his dreams at his sister’s wedding. The only issue that he has is the fact that he is married to someone else, but… that is all I can say about this as I don’t want to leave any spoilers. I will say this is a very emotional roller coaster ride. Loads of ups and downs, and maybe a tear or two will be shed.
This was my first read by Penny Bush, and found this to just be an ok read. I felt like I was dropped in the middle of the series. The parts I really wanted to read about, the whole beginning of Pia and Davan’s relationship, that happened in previous book?? I am only assuming as we didn’t get that, and when this starts they are already together. What we get is after they start their relationship when things start getting real. This has some drama, and some good naughty bits. I give this 3.5 stars.
Hugely emotional!!! This was not a novel to read after dinner and before bed, unless you want a wet pillow case and an annoyed husband! This is my first time reading Ms. Blush, and not because this story continues, but because the writing was amazing. This story drew me in, and I could not easily put it down for much of anything. Every once in a while it is great to let the tears fall, and Ms. Blush was a master at doing that here!
Wow talk about a emotional over drive I didn’t think my heart could take any more and then I reached the last page and I was torn in two just WOW . There was a story to tell with each character that was introduced I really enjoyed learning more about the characters and finding out how much heart was put into this story . So can’t wait to see what’s to come for these two characters
