I might be the only unmated female in my tribe, but it doesn’t mean I’ve given my heart. I’m waiting. I want resonance, and I won’t settle for anything less. But when an alien ship lands and a handsome stranger steps out, I know he’s the one. His name’s Mardok and he’s fascinatingly different – and distractingly appealing. But Mardok can’t stay on the ice planet, and he says he can take me with … take me with him.
Now, I must make a choice. Do I stay and lose my mate forever? Or do I follow him to the stars and leave behind everything I know?

“I am your mother. I will love you and honor whatever decision will make you happy.” Her eyes shine with tears of her own. “Even if it takes you far, far away from me.” – 72% Barbarian’s Choice
Barbarian’s Choice is book eleven in the Ice Planet Barbarians series by Ruby Dixon.
The only single blue alien female, Farlie, on the ice planet finally gets her mate.
If you’ve read from the beginning, then you recognize that when we meet her she’s a young teenager. She is now all grown up and the only full blooded unmated Sha’Khui. She has a lot of admires, but is waiting for resonance.
Dixon mixes it up a bit with the female being the native and the male being the alien. It’s a little emotional and we get a taste of what people in space are like. That some Sha’Khui live differently and have the ability to fly in space. The romance is sweet and adorable and we finally see Farlie come out into her own with a mixture of innocence and determination. Mardox is a sexy Sha’Khui. He brought something new and fresh into the mix. I liked his turmoil and him fighting his feelings. In the end they both get their HEA.
Barbarian’s Choice was an enjoyable read, but it was missing something. I didn’t love it as much as previous books in the series and I’m not sure what it was or is that didn’t work for me and made this one just ok.

Oh this one had me on edge. Farli is older now and has yet to resonate to any of the unmated males. She is a huntress and sweet as pie. So one day she sets out to do some hunting and comes across something that should not be there. She finds a ship and meets some new people. Now this can go either way bad or good. Luckily it is good. Lets meet Mardok, ex soldier and mechanic. Once he lays eyes on Farli he feels a pull to her. However, this is a bit scary because we have no idea what will happen. However, Farli brings the captain to the tribe to meet the chief. The question is do the tribe want to go to another planet to live or will they stay. What of Farli and Mardok? He needs to get the khui to live on the planet or she can leave to go with him. It is a touchy subject but it seems she has more to lose than he does. What will happen? Will they go their separate ways? You need to read this story to find out.
I recommend it for fans of the Barbarian Planet lovers. You may enjoy it more than I did.
The story is romantic and sexy and totally addicting. Ruby’s quirky humour is back along with our sexy blue alien barbarians and a new batch of stranded beings.
I really enjoyed getting to meet new aliens and for Farli to finally meet someone that she deserves! Great book. Lots of fun.
I have a New Favorite in this series!! AHH it is incredible! Oh My gosh I have been looking forward to Frali’s story for so long it was unlike anything I was expecting and I LOVED it!!! Frali has been waiting her whole life to find her mate and start her own family. She finally finds him when he lands on her planet by accident. Once she see’s him she knows that he is hers. Mardok is just trying to fix his ship and get off this freezing planet when he sees Frali. She is by far the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. He is instantly attracted to her and wants to protect her. He doesn’t understand why he is so protective of this wild girl but knows he is and that he wants to be with her. They are so cute together! OH my gosh! Frali tries to teach him about her ways and he does the same! Mardox is deep and has his fears and Frali is so patient on trying to figure him out. Their relationship is quick but it is seriously wonderful. I can not get enough of these two!! His protectiveness is so amazing!! They are cute and funny and of course sexy! One of the best things about this couple is that Mardok has tattoo’s and all through out this series Frali is constantly painting on her self and tribe. They are so meant to be!!! Their whole relationship is so sweet and I just love them so much!! They are definitely one of my top favorite couples in this series!! My OTP! You all HAVE to read this one!! It is so freaking Incredible!!!
I love Ruby Dixon’s Ice-planet series. Her characters are diverse, lovable, and utterly addictive.
Wow!!! I’m loving this series more and more with each book. Outside of the very first one, I think that this one is my favorite. I adored Farli and Mardock together and I cannot wait for more!
I listened to the audible version of this story and absolutely loved it. This series is one that does not disappoint and although I enjoy some of these stories more than others, this series is one I truly enjoy. I have been wanting Farli’s story for the longest and her and Mardok’s story does not disappoint. It had the right amount of action, steamy scenes and all around great characters. I look forward to the next book in this series.
I am having so much fun reading this series. It is seriously the light right now during some very dark days. They allow me to completely lose myself and leave everything else behind.
I adored seeing a grown up Farli here. She is all woman now and doesn’t hesitate to show that side to the new visitor who landed on their planet! This was a sexy story, that still dealt with some big issues. Plus we start getting some answers to the nagging questions that have been floating around. I can’t wait for more.
I loved this so much. This is the first full book on a female blue barbarian and it was so unique due to that. Loved how she and the hero interacted and came to love each other. We grew to love her through her growing up in the other books and when she resonated I was so happy for her like she was my own daughter. It was also the first book in which a male from outside their planet found love on not Hoth. Loved, loved, loved how it was so different from the others but still familiar.
