Her heart aches for comfort, for closeness, longing for a chance at redemption…but even more so longing for the laird who granted her sanctuary.

Each love story in this series can be read as a stand-alone. However, most readers prefer to read them in order.

Moira’s gift of seeing the future leads to unintentional betrayal to her clan. She is sent away to another clan where she feels unwelcome and keeps to herself. The Laird of the clan she is sent to has a gift as well and is an ideal match for Moira. Once the people get to know her, their opinions start to change. One mans bitterness toward her leads to danger and suspense but the relationship between the heroin and the hero blossom and together they overcome obstacles and find a fairytale ending. Another wonderfully written book by a favorite author.
Dreams Destroyed & Dreams Realized
Banishment is Moira Brunwood’s punishment for betraying her clan. Death might have been more merciful. Still, she must face her lonely future and make the best of it.
Laird Cormag MacDrummond has agreed to allow banished Moira to live within his clan. He is unsure of his decision, but for better or worse, she is now under his protection.
Bree Wolf is one of my top ten favorite authors. I love her books, and Banished & Welcomed is one of her best all time best.
The agonizingly sad prologue of this complex story jerked me into a scene of emotionally unforgiving regret. I could literally feel Moira’s despair and grief. As I continued to read, each page further drew me into this character driven novel with a tightly woven plot. I fell in love with strong but vulnerable Cormag. He’s all that a hero should be, and he was worthy of Moira’s trust and affection. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop until the last page of the satisfying epilogue.
FYI:
If you have already read and enjoyed Abandoned & Protected, then you probably wondered what happened to Moira Brunwood. Well, you can now read her compelling story within this marvelous stand-alone novel.
Also, readers who read and enjoyed Tamed & Unleased will enjoy reading the Scotland side of Garret and Claudia’s story.
Regardless, even if you have not read any of the books within this series, you will still be able to follow and enjoy this engrossing book.
Content alert: Except for some mildly described passionate kissing, this novel (as others in the series) clean and free of vulgar language or sexual intimacy.
Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book from the author. I am voluntarily submitting my honest review.

I Loved this Story!
It is about two gifted people who both use their special gifts to help others. In addition to this both Moira and Cormag are looking for the love of a partner to share their lives with.
She has been banished from her clan and family (see one of the previous stories, Abandoned and Protected) and craves just a smidgeon of this love and trust in her life. He is a Laird, a leader of his people, and he immediately welcomes and accepts her into his group during her exile but he soon realizes that there is something very different about this quiet and reserved young lady.
This story shows that there is something special in every person. Call it a ‘gift’ or whatever else you like, but if you look closely enough you will see this something special and unique in everyone. Something that can be valued and cherished or it will fade and die.
You will also read about a conniving mother who cares enough to bring Cormag and Moira together, a friend who bears a grudge, a little girl who will steal your heart and friends who loved these two people and believed in them.
This story is really gripping and very intense and tells of a beautiful love. It totally held my attention and kept me flying through a whole band of emotions and back again and at the end wishing for more and so I have to recommend this book to you as it is the best one in this series so far.
I read an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) and this is my voluntary and unbiased review of it.
This book dragged on interminably, the author used three sentences which could have been explained in one, very disappointing would not recommend.

He soon feels turn between claiming the woman he loves and staying true to his people. – I liked Cormag, Moira, Garrett, Finn, Emma, Maggie, Maeve and Blair. I enjoyed the conversations between Cormag and Moira. The development of their relationship was interesting. Moira’s background was sad, and Ian was an unpleasant issue. I don’t like Highland language, and the book drug.
For the first 90% of the book, I was totally frustrated with the heroine of the story Moira Brunwood. Her character was exasperating. She feared this, she feared that. She was always doubting her own thoughts and feelings in a negative way which totally turned me off. I was able to muster some compassion for her because of banishment. But she was constantly depressed, sad, lonely and one man hated her guts and she did not know why. Sometimes she felt she deserved all this misery. She had no friends because she feared rejection so she never gave anyone the chance. She felt like everyone was against her because of what she did to get banished from her home clan. She even became suicidal. This was too much and too repetitive. I felt it only prolonged the misery of reading this book. Then we have our hero Laird Cormag MacDrummond who is an excellent laird. Fair, honest, wise. Now he has a problem with getting in touch with his own feelings and feels that if that happened, he would lose control of his orderly ways. It was annoying that Moira and Cormag for two years refused to reach out to each other knowing the attraction was there. Their dialogue was juvenile. I could never imagine two adults negatively thinking about the other constantly no matter what was said. It was always doubted and pushed away as if it was not meant or not truthful. I gave this book a rating of one. The only redeeming part was the last 10 percent of the book. Now that was worth reading. It was engaging, exciting, hopeful and showed the determination of doing the right thing. I have always loved Bree Wolf’s books. This one I will excuse as an anomaly and look forward to the next one.
