Vampires are back for a reason! Meet the sexy, dark hero Bane in New York Times bestselling author Alyssa Day’s smokin’-hot romance.Bane lost his humanity ages ago. Nothing is more important than protecting his Vampire Motorcycle Club from the death magic invading his territory. The most ancient of vampires, he seeks cold, unfeeling, bloody vengeance…until a frustratingly sexy human doctor is … a frustratingly sexy human doctor is thrust into his path. She tempts Bane to distraction. And distraction is deadly in his world.
Buttoned-up and meticulous Dr. Ryan St. Cloud never thought she’d find herself in the mix of a motorcycle club, let alone one full of terrifyingly badass vampires. Or how intrigued she is by their dark and enigmatic leader, who seems balanced on the knife’s edge of killing her…or claiming her.
But Bane’s choice is harder than it seems, because when that danger hits too close to home, he’s forced to choose between her life and everyone else’s…

The book was a decent read. I found it hard to get into the book and hard to stay reading. There were some good scenes but most were just OK. There was a lot that wasn’t explained in the beginning which made it confusing. There was brief explanations later in the book. Overall, an OK vampire read.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.
Sink into Alyssa Day’s new vampire motorcycle club series… You will not be sorry! 🙂
Sizzling romances, sexy vampires and a motorbike club, Banes Choise is an epic introduction to a brand new world of paranormal and danger.
Day writes a compelling tale with attractive characters that you won’t want to miss.
Thankyou to Netgalley, publishers and author for the chance to read and review this ARC!
I had to think about this for a couple days. I did enjoy reading Bane’s Choice but it was not what I would have hoped for.
I did like the banter between Bane and Ryan also I like the secondary characters, they were interesting and they were a little bit more lively.
But unfortunately I never got engrossed or pulled into the story to the point that I couldn’t put it down.
About Ryan and Bane there was not much background information about Them. I would’ve liked to have known more about Bane especially why he had to save the fire fighter Hunter and what was going on with why the progress wasn’t going according to normal. We never saw Ryan helping out “doing her doctor-thing”.
Then I felt like it was rushed in places, and we were told about the conflict between the vampires and the evil organization called The chambers.
But overall it was just a quick, fun not super complicated read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are all my own.
A new vampire series, yippee
This book is about Bane, yep the name in the title. He is a 300-year-old vampire and acts all badass.
Ryan, is a doctor, she’s a warm caring lady who comes into contact with a mysterious man while treating a patient, and her world is changed forever.
If I’m honest this book didn’t hook me straight away, but once I’d got further in I was more invested. The vampires all have the typical vamp traits, which I don’t have a problem with as I like vamp romance books.
The vamps are a group of friends/family and they live in a big house with a Mumsy type housekeeper, I liked Mrs C.
There’s plenty of action along with the romance side and the characters develop through the story to a satisfying end.
I’ll read more of this series when it comes out.

Three and a half
I have been thoroughly entertained by this authors Warriors of Poseidon series so was very excited to read this book. The idea of a motorcycle club in romance isn’t unique but making that club a mixture of both Vampires and Humans was to me very different. Yes its a paranormal romance but there’s also the fact that women are being murdered and it looks as if Bane himself is the reason for it !
Look I’m going to be brutal and say I really didn’t like Bane. From the start he’s this heartless guy who doesn’t care if those following him die. I personally wouldn’t feel any loyalty towards someone like that so really didn’t understand why others followed him. Yes meeting Ryan does eventually soften him slightly but honestly my initial impression of Bane soured him for me.
Ryan is this take charge doctor who doesn’t know how to back down and I do get that having the power of quite literally life or death can make many a little arrogant. She’s determined to save her patient but she’s stepped or rather been pulled into a world from her wildest nightmares. There is something definitely different about Ryan that’s mentioned a few times in the beginning and then ignored almost until the end of the story which felt a little uneven to me as I wish it had been commented on a little more.
This couple are quite funny though and their interactions frequently made me smile. Bane just keeps pushing and their mutual attraction is palpable. A jealous Vampire is a very possessive one ! As it’s the first in this new series we meet supporting characters who clearly have secrets to tell and I look forward to reading how everything develops as the series progresses.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
This story starts out with a bang and captures the reader. I really enjoyed the authors take on vampires and the cross over to MC clubs. While I was a bit taken aback at the beginning as the story just jumps you right into the action, it did level out and become an interesting and fun read. I liked the dynamics of the different supernatural creatures and how the author took everyday life and warped it just a bit to including the character in this story. There is extraordinarily little world building at the beginning we learn it along the way and that made it difficult at times to understand if what was mention was important or just passing knowledge. That said I really loved the action within this story, it balanced well with the vampires, MC, and their enemies. The characters are unique, and bold and I really enjoyed their interactions with each other. The doctor was a bit hard to take at times, but she found her way. There are moments of strife, twists and turns and enough angst to make this story enjoyable. I would recommend it to lovers of the supernatural, MC club and actions readers. I received an ARC vis NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC and I am leaving an honest review. 3.75 stars.
Vampires and Motorcycles? Sign Me Up!
This is one fo those books that throws you in and you figure the world out as you go. It ors’t prepare you so be warned. But it was totally worth it because I LOVED this read from he very first page. This novel had the action and the suspense with a nice dose of sexy thrown in.
Alyssa delvers a read with great character banter and a fun plot that you really enjoy while reading. I will definitely be grabbing the next book!
The first in a new series for Alyssa Day, so there was quite a bit of set up for this new world. Told from multiple POV’s Bane is a centuries old vampire who has become disenchanted with his life. We are introduced to an ongoing battle between necromancers and warlocks along with a truce that in jeopardy with werewolves and we get an insight into the process of how vampires are changed. So while there is a main storyline between Bane and Ryan, there are also several multiple starting points for where this world will take off.
Bane is the leader not only over his MC group (which is something is more in the background for this story), but he is also the leader over his vampire family. He is controlling and possessive over everyone around him and the same holds true when Ryan comes into the picture.
When the war heats up everyone in Bane’s family is in jeopardy and Bane is torn on how to help when facing such a powerful enemy while trying to keep his new love safe.
Dr. Ryan St. Cloud is helping a patient, the very one that Bane steals from under her nose, when they first meet. He can sense she is different that first night, but cannot pinpoint what she is. This underlying mystery holds throughout the entire story on what makes her special, but it is something. Aside from this mystery, Ryan is bold and doesn’t back down from Bane and his commanding ways. She intrigues Bane in ways no one has in centuries and he finds himself claiming her when he knows he shouldn’t.
This was a good starting point for what I hope will be a good series because Bane’s Choice ended with several open ended plot lines. I hope the plots and subplots Alyssa started tie up in another story because I was left with questions. Aside from that, the multiple POV’s kept the book moving and did ramp up the suspense. It also had me looking forward to upcoming books, which again hopefully will answer some of my questions.
Overall, if you love the paranormal world, there is a lot to look forward to in this new world created by Alyssa Day.
Having read this author before I had no qualms about entering into this one. Mixes my two favorites together. They had it right for it is a good way to hide in among everyone as a MC. Bane is a character we want all the dirt on as we lick our lips. His attitude towards us women has to go though. Dr. Ryan gets our attention also. I do so like when he has to need her help. As these two get together we will sweat the night away and devour the story.
