A land gripped by eternal winter. A queen with a heart of ice. A woman with a destiny. This isn’t the faerie from the storybooks… unite the Tuatha and cut off Oblivion’s power.
If only quests were that simple.
Nothing is what it should be, and suddenly the only plan is survival. I will do whatever it takes to live, whatever it takes to protect those I care about. I will be whomever I need to be, even if it means losing myself.
I will use the warrior inside me, and when the time comes, I will roar.

This book was utterly fabulous, I could not put it down. *Reminder this series is different than Cassidy’s other works; the theme is a bit darker and ‘more adult’ than Cassidy’s other worlds but in a sexy, delicious way and it is a reverse harem series. This book is also not a standalone read, you need to read Captive of Darkness first to understand the storyline and characters.
In this book, Bane of Winter, Wynter’s quest to find Alaron, the winter king, continues in Faerie, in the winter court with the aid of Raven as her companion and guide. We get a more up close and personal look at Wynter and Raven and their evolving connection. She faces more trials along her journey, as well as learning more about herself and her abilities. More questions are raised and more twists and turns are presented. We also get to learn a bit more about the Raven and a shocking decision Veles makes in order to help Wynter. The heat level of the story kicks up a few notches and new possibilities are presented for Wynter to consider along her journey. The Oblivion is dark, menacing and deadly and growing stronger through the lands. And finally, an unexpected incident occurs that starts to ripple thru to Nawia forcing Wynter and her companions to face the urgency of their situation.
I enjoyed seeing Wynter grow more and become more confident in herself and work to understand her abilities and the war waging within her; fighting to stay herself. She is by no means a helpless female. She is strong, intelligent, resilient, compassionate and puts those she loves before her own safety. I also enjoyed learning more about the Raven; he has a childlike, more vulnerable quality that appears in some scenes that just makes your heart ache for him. And Veles is still a favorite! He is a fascinating, complex creature who continues to change in behavior and show more emotions as the connection between himself and Wynter grows stronger. I love the two of them together! The descriptiveness of the characters and Faerie lands and its’ creatures is great and the storyline is well-written and engrossing. There is excitement, adventure, mystery, suspense, action, and romance to be enjoyed throughout the entire read. Just loved it!
Oooooh… I loved this book! I was eager to pick up book two and I wasn’t disappointed. We pick up right from book one and go barreling into a new world. One that holds new characters that you soon fall in love with.
The story keeps you captured until you finish. It’s nail biting exiting and seriously hot. It’s a completely new and original take on Fairey and it’s inhabitants.
Luckily book three is already out. Seriously, you need to pick up this fabulous series. You won’t be disappointed.
This is a Debbie Cassidy book so as you would expect the storey line is a very strong one – Different than her normal UF books as this one is more Fantasy based with wonderful characters. This is the second book in the set and is a fantastic follow up to book one. Absolutely Amazing RH series where love is central and the sex naturally follows. Debbie is really good at building heat into scenes but the storey is key and the sex is just the cherry on the top so to speak. Lots of unexpected plot twists crops up to keep you interested and just when you think that the storey is going one way something happens and every thing changes direction. A very entertaining & Captivating read.
Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off and the action doesn’t let up from there. The story line keeps you hooked from page one and drags you in right to the last page. Wynter is getting stronger and so is her connection to Raven. We also meet some new characters at the end of the book that I am sure will play bigger roles in the next book. This is truly an awesome series and I will definitely be following it all the way to it’s conclusion.
This is going to be one of my favorite series. Action; heart pounding, heart stopping and almost non-stop.
When I ventured into the RH World, I was apprehensive. Being part prude and part romantic, I wondered how this was going to work. Well Debbie Cassidy solved that for me. It is all about the Love, and that is how she writes it. All about love, THEN the ass kicking. LOL.
