This book was not up to snuff compared to the previous books in the series. I of course felt that something was going to happen with Mike’s foreshadowing “promise me you will tell me if he ever hurts you…”
This book turns Hannah’s character into a pathetic, teenage character – questioning her body size, her intelligence, and her career. Also, the conversations were rough and awkward, not the usual well written and witty writing I have come to expect of this series. I was very disappointed, but I was happy I checked it out from the library instead of purchasing.
I love her books.
I really enjoyed this book, and all the rest of Joanne Flukes (?-spelling) books
Disappointed.
Love these books
Ms. Fluke’s series has fallen flat.
about the same as all her books. I like the recipes.
L8ve all her books.
I love reading an easy reading book that makes me smile. I feel entertained when I finnish
It was an enjoyable and quick read. Characters are a little different from Hallmark movies characters.
Very fun read, as the whole series
In true style of “cozy mysteries” JoAnne Fluke is at her best joining wit and wisdom in the world of murder and every day life. Her characters are so believable and entertaining right down to Moishe the cat.
I enjoyed the book
Great series. Wonderful recipes.
I love the Hanna Swensen series!
Too many recipes versus the story.
Recommend the whole series
I enjoyed the story and the characters, however, if these were real people that ate as much and as many sweets, they’d all weigh 400 pounds and be diabetic.
Loved this story. Cannot wait for the authors next book. Love the recipes too.
I have read every book Joanne Fluke has had published. This is the first one I haven’t cared for. The writing was stilted. The dialog was sophomoric. I kept thinking this didn’t seem like Ms. Fluke had written it herself.
I felt bad and gave it another star.
I have friends that were not readers until I got them started on this series and then they wouldn’t put them down.
I just want to say that if something is wrong in your life, I pray it will straighten out soon and that you will be bless with a happy life.
