BenShe walked on the bus and my heart stopped beating. When she looked my way with that sassy smile, it came back to life. Looking at her, getting to know her, I know she’s the one for me—but she’s so young. Her life is just starting and I’ve already done my fair share of living. I want her to be mine but is it right for me to ask her to settle down before she’s really had a chance to live?Nicole… live?
Nicole
He keeps watching me. I can’t help but look back. He’s gorgeous: tall, messy dark hair, and those intensely blue eyes captivating me. My life hasn’t been easy by any means. Because of that I’ve had to grow up much faster than normal women do. I think that’s why our age difference doesn’t bother me at all. I wish it didn’t bother him because this attraction isn’t going away anytime soon and, in truth, I don’t want it to. He could very possibly be my happily-ever-after and no matter how much he tries, I’m not going to let him talk me out of it until we give this a fighting chance.

What happens when you falling for someone that is so much younger compare to you? This is the story of Ben and Blush Baby, Nicole. Ben fell head over heels, when Nicole stepped on the bus. Nicole sees straight through Ben. Of course, Ben tries not to let his feelings show, because he believes he is letting her live her life because she so young. Nicole, feels anything but that, living in foster care, and fighting a harsh disease, she been living a hard life, and endure more things, then adults do. Ben wants her ,but not doing much, so if he won’t, Nicole will find someone else that does.
Oh my, can I just say I wanted to slap Ben so many times, and tell him to wake up. Nicole won me over, you just cannot not like her. She had been through so much, but keeps fighting. I related, so much with Nicole due to my personal journey. The books keep getting better and better. So much is unfolding with the band, family, and others around the band. If you, haven’t picked up these books yet please do.
You find out about one of the Blush Babies, and she is awesome. Kick butt and fire… I love her. And. Then there’s Ben….. Benny Benny Benny….. lol. Read the book, you’ll laugh, cry, scream… but in the end you’ll smile.
More rockstar love
Ben Kingston has finally met the woman who could bring him to his knees. Coley. The Blush Baby who has had such a tough life between leukemia and foster care. Together they make each other whole. Love seeing Frank tie back in too. The surprises keep coming, book after book!
After reading Interlude in this series I couldn’t wait to see what happens between Ben and Nicole/Blush Baby. Let’s just say I wasn’t let down. The push and pull between Ben and Nicole, with Ben pushing and Nicole pulling, had added influences especially with Nicole’s sickness and their age difference. Sure Nicole was young but she had lived a thousand years in her lifetime. What was the thing that finally had Ben make a move on the woman he thought he was already in love with?
As for the rest of the cast from the Rockstar series Ms. Mercier knows how to bring them all front and center with ongoing storylines that at times brings you to tears and has you realizing that family is not always blood but family can be the people who you are surrounded with that love and care for you.
An excellent series that always has me excited to continue on to the next book!
Another must read by Anne!
I couldn’t put it down! Nicole and Ben pulled at my heart strings. And the ending! That threw me for a loop. I didn’t see that one coming.
Emotional ride! The more I read of this series, the more I feel like I am on the journey along with them. There are fun times, times I have cried a little, and then the times I have swooned. Brilliant story!
Ben and Nicole’s story really pulls at the heartstrings. Don’t want to give to much away. You just can’t help but fall in love with all these characters. Really enjoying this series.
I think, out of the entire series, Nicole is my favorite character. Despite the horrible hand she has been dealt by life, she still has an amazing attitude and out look on life. She knows what she wants, and takes no excuses for why she can’t have it. When Ben is being stubborn, she just shrugs her shoulders and decides to enjoy life. I hate what she goes through, but I’m glad it made Ben come around. It is such an amazing story, and I love how he stands by her through it all.
