When I was originally reading this book the beginning made me think I was missing something. The author filled in holes as you read but for a first book, you don’t expect there to be holes that need to be filled. I asked someone though and found out that there was a part written as an anthology and so even though the author filled in some holes, the knowledge that this wasn’t technically the first thing written allowed me to get into the grove and enjoy the characters. I love the comradery between the characters and the banter. It is exciting and entertaining and everything that a good book should be.
An exciting start to the trilogy!
The devil’s son is patient and the one straightening the lines. The angel is a hothead with a sarcastic streak – I absolutely LOVE how the roles are turned upside down to what is expected.
Atalante and her men have little time to figure out each other and the problems that lie ahead. Who are the radicals that are working so hard to upset the balance between the realms? Who is the new player and what secrets does the prophecy hide?
This ends on a cliffhanger, but I’ve had worse LOL
I can’t wait until the end of October where the next book will release. What happens next? I NEED TO KNOW…
truly enjoyed Lana and her mates with their fight to restore the balance of everything … enter villian (4th mate?!) stage left … absolute craziness, but can’t wait for the next book
I’m hopeful that this series will eventually answer the questions I have left after reading this first book. I sort of felt dropped into the middle of the story but it did come around and got very enjoyable. I liked the main character and her spunk. And I’m, admittedly, a little jealous of her mates. If you’re looking for an RH with an interesting spin, this is the series for you.
This is a fun, steamy read and was a nice change of pace from some of the other intense books I have been reading.
There is an element if comedy that removes it from being too serious. When the devil can say things like chill or act like a teen himself, it sets a certain pace for the book.
Amazing original story of good and evil and the frail balance between them… looking forward to more of this epic story and these wonderfully written characters… Well done!
What a cool story! This was my first RH story and it won’t be my last. Lena is the product of the dark and light coming together, her deceased angel and demon parents. Her whole life she was an outcast but now she is so important to the balance of the world. Throw in a some sexy demon and angel mates, action, adventure, humor, and some scenes that will make you blush, and you have an excellent reverse harem novel. This is not just a book for reverse harem fans. Fans of paranormal romance will fall into this story and be like me, addicted from the first word to the last. And there is more to come! I can’t wait. Jenn D Young throws a few surprises that you won’t see coming in this story. This is a must read for fans of anything steamy full of heart and passion. Soon you’ll be wishing you had a few supernatural beings longing for you.
What a good start to a new series. If you are a fan of fated mates, good vs evil, MPV, and a good story. I would highly suggest this book.
So the female lead is Lana with multiple love interests in Gabe, Ezra and Andros. What I found so interesting is that Lana is literally the balance between good vs evil. How cool is that. Course the reason why is because she is the child of a demon/angel. I like this take more than I have seen in previous books with this.
I really enjoyed the characters, how they were, especially with each other. The plot is very interesting, the pace fast and just a really good start to a series that has potential to be really good.
A fascinating new series bringing together demons, angels, and more. A prophecy from years past spoke of a child to come than would help balance the world. The time has come, and who will become her mates to bring about complete balance. There are hidden mysteries even within the prophecy, and layers to peel back. Love, family and destiny combined into a powerful read!
Loved this book. It was a fantastic and fun to read story. Lana was an interesting character, and her guys were entertaining. That ending was not what I was expecting and leaves you hanging for more.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s a classic theme of angels and demons yet with a twist. I really enjoyed the dynamic of the multiple povs but would have loved a prequel. The story has hints of what happened in the past but would love to read it first hand. In saying that, the paranormal element was really interesting and add in the Rh element and I was hooked into the story. The characters are unique and with the multiple povs, we really got to know all of them well. And that ending… Need I say more. I’m looking forward to book two. A solid 4 1/2 stars!
This book is setting the scene for a fantastic series. I love Ezra and Gabe and how they pine for their sweet mate. Andros was an interesting choice of third mate and I think he brings balance to the group. I claim dibs on Malik though .
I’m totally new to this author work and let me tell you that it definitely won’t be my last. I will admit that at first I thought I might have missed something, a prequel I wasn’t totally sure but as I continued read to read I was totally hook from beginning to end. Plenty of intrigue, action, laugh out loud moment, steamy romance made for a helluva read. It does end on a cliffhanger but I’m really excited to see what else is in store for this series. As always my review are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
A book with Angels, Demons & Lucifer himself?? Hell yeah now this is right up my street. Atalante (Lana FMC) is the balance between Good and Evil. A prophecy that involves her and her harem (Demon – Ezra and lucifer’s son, Angel – Gabe as well as one reluctant mate and one secret one) all of which bring their own problems but also a bit of fun (more so with Ezra and Gabe). Loads of tension and steamy scenarios (Ezra and Gabe?? So hot!!). That ending though? Just killed it!! This book was so good and i cant wait for the next one
The story was a little slow moving in the beginning and I was a little confused. It felt like I missed a prior book or prequel, but luckily it unfolded as the story progressed. Atalanta was put to sleep three years ago to protect the world from her powers, but they wake her up early due to the power balance of the world being threatened. It was an interesting plot and I would read the next book to see what happens to her and her mates.
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
Goody Goody Gumdrops what a book. I really loved reading Balance Threatened. Atalante and her predicament of being born of the Light and Dark is so intriguing. I loved her men Gabe, Ezra, and Andros also. I loved the multiple povs this book had. i cant wait to read the next one.
I’m new to this author, and as with all new authors, I wasn’t sure what to expect. When I first started this book, I felt like I had missed something, a prequel or something. It wasn’t bad, just I felt I had missed a book. After a bit of time, I didn’t feel that way. Next, I was drawn into the story of Gabe and Ezra, and then the others. I loved that we started with the male protagonists and not the female. I really came to enjoy all the characters, not just the main ones. The plot is interesting as well. I admit that the dialog and revealing of information could be a little stilted at times, but I am always a little more forgiving of the first book in a series. This has potential, especially with that ending. I can’t wait to find out more. Recommend.
This is the first book by this author that I have read and I really enjoyed it. It is an interesting twist on a fated mates story and I love the fact that the bond extends to other members of the group and not just the guys and their girl. I love stories that involve angels, fallen angels, devils, and so on, so this was right up my alley. Atalante is an interesting character and her mates keep her balanced and I love that about this book. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Ok this is a bit different – Medium Burn RH with quite a unique storey that starts slowly but pace increases and you are drawn into the storey so much so that the end creeps up on you. Good character buildings and world building is also good – which is probably why the book starts slow as a lot of attention to detail is put into the early chapters to define the people and their surroundings.
I love the character dynamics and the way they bounce off each other plus the fact that they dont just pounce o their mate they are slowly building the relationships until a wildcard comes out to play to disrupt everything.
Cant wait to see what happens in the next book!
This was a great start. I’m can’t believe the power that everyone has especially Malik. I’m still trying to figure out what happened at the end. It’s crazy! I was a little confused in the beginning since it seemed that I missed a book but thankfully it was explained throughout the book. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next and to see what the guys do when they realize Atalante is missing! Book 2 can’t come soon enough.
