ANDY – I got a job next door to a tattooed biker named Baker. He was an outlaw, a criminal, a biker, a badboy, and a thief. I should have run as far and fast as I could. Instead, on the day we met, I let him have his way with me. I couldn’t help myself. His intensity and swagger lured me, but it was the crazy sex that kept me coming back, day after day.His sordid ways scared me, but I simply … day.
His sordid ways scared me, but I simply couldn’t stay away…
BAKER -When she moved in next door, I knew I was in trouble. She was sexy. She had tremendous attitude – and a ferocious ass. She was also the manager of a bank my MC robbed six months prior, but she didn’t recognize me. If she ever found out who I really was, there would be hell to pay.
It would be nothing like the hell I’d be living in if my MC found out I was fucking her.
We’d issued an order to kill her on sight. She was off-limits if anyone ever was.
So far, the men in the MC had no idea of my sexual secret. But, I couldn’t keep her hidden forever.
BAKER is a steamy stand-alone novel with an HEA, no cheating, and no sex outside the relationship. Forget everything you think you know about MC Romance. There are no club whores, no OM/OW drama, and there is no abuse. No other book is or will be required to tell this tale.
MC Romance, Biker Romance, Forbidden love, Steamy Contemporary Romance
If you like the writing of Lauren Landish, Jenika Snow, Alice Ward, Joanna Blake, and Winter Travers, you’re sure to enjoy this steamy contemporary romancenovel.

This story absolutely fantastic. Baker and Andy are really great together. I will say that prologue kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Their journey together is done well. The writing and flow of this book is perfect. I highly recommend this book.
Baker (Devil’s Disciples MC #1) by Scott Hildreth is like one smooth ride. This is my first read of Scott’s work and I must say I am an instant fan. The characters are well developed and the writing is very vivid that you can imagine being right there with them. I found myself laughing out loud at the antics of these men and the women they encounter. I fell in love with most of the characters but had a hard time with Cash, I hope when his book comes there is a lot more to him than meets the eyes. If I ever needed help these guys would be the ones to call on. I mean, who does not like sexy bad boy bikers? What I also love is that the romance is written by a male.
Baker the leader of the Devil’s and is a man who is happy with his life as a biker with his brothers and does not desire that to change. But when one sassy woman moves in next door his life just became more complicated.
This is not your typical biker story but that doesn’t mean it isn’t well worth the read because let me tell you it most certainly is.
Just finished this not long ago. My first MC book, and an inspiration to read—filled with excitement, sex, action, and all the suspense you can handle. Oh, and the rest of the series isn’t so bad, either!
I’d been looking forward to this book for what seems like forever, the wait for Baker was so worth it (not that I ever thought it wouldn’t be!!)
Baker is book one in the Devil’s Disciples series and is a completely different kind of MC than I’m used to reading, than I’m used to from this author.
This MC isn’t flashy, they aren’t widely known for their lifestyle, pasts, criminal record or current criminal activity.
Nope, these guys are a small, close knit group of friends. They don’t wear cuts, they don’t fight with other clubs but they do take care of their own.
Baker shares similarities with other Hildreth heros; he’s a good man, he’s protective and he lives by a code.
He’s also sexy as hell, honest and faithful.
Andy arrives in town with her life in pieces. Everything she ever worked for was torn away and she’s starting over.
She’s strong, independent and makes smart choices, just not when it comes to men.
There’s a secret that ties Baker and Andy together, one she has no clue about and would probably wreck her world if she knew.
I loved Andy, she’s strong and that’s my favorite character trait in a heroine. Baker is so much more than I expected but as I type that I wonder just why I didn’t expect it. Hildreth is known for his amazing, if slightly flawed characters who will turn you on and steal your heart.
Baker is that, he is now one of my favorites, he’s in the top three of my favorite heros. Ever.
This is book 1 in a great series. Outstanding characters, sexy AF and a great read.
*WARNING* contains sexual content
I don’t like this story one. The very first chapter tells the big moment and the rest of the book tells what leads up to it. That was the first thing I didn’t like, but I thought I would still read the book. I did struggle through, but I found the story to be dull and uninteresting to me. The characters didn’t have depth or development through the story. This story was pretty monotone for me.
Baker is book 1 in the Devil’s Disciples MC series. Not a normal MC romance. It’s a little quirky, funny and steamy. Baker and Andy will have you wanting to know about this MC series.
This first book in the Devil’s Disciples MC series has me hooked to the characters and their stories. A slightly different feel to most MC romances but in such a good way. Baker and Andy will make you laugh, Heat you up on a cold night and entertain you from start to finish. Two people who aren’t looking for love but with fate, superstitions and a connection that is undeniable these two never had a chance.
I loved the story line and characters. It will keep you coming back to keep in contact with all the people in the book! Hot!
If you are not familiar with Scott Hildreth, my suggestion would be to get acquainted with this author. You’re taken on a Wild journey and would simply fall in love with Scott like I have. (total Fan girl) You will not be disappointed. Mr. Hildreth has an amazingly brilliant way of telling a story. It takes ahold of you from the beginning to the end. I found myself up at 1:30am still trying to finish this book because I simply could not put it down.
This is not your typical MC story.
Andy and Baker have undeniable chemistry. And what they go through is exciting and suspenseful. There is a warning at the beginning of the book about the graphic sex scenes but they were well worth it. Cannot wait to read more from the Devil’s Disciples. Thank you Mr. Hildreth!
If I could I would give this many- many- many more stars than 5.
This is a must read.
What can I say?! I am on a Scott Hildreth binge after realising I have this series on my kindle….and I hadn’t read it yet? At the same time, I one clicked The Filthy F*ckers MC box set (I know right?!). Sorry for my tardiness! Anyway, I loved the Selected Sinners series so I know I am in for a treat with these!
And wow, this kicks off right in the middle of the action! Then we get the lead up to it, it certainly kept me turning the pages. Loved the build up with Baker and Andy, she is feisty spirited who has been dealt some sh*tty hands yet still isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. Great start to this series, can’t wait to catch up with the rest now!
Actual Rating 3.80
Baker was a pretty good start to this series. I liked getting to know what the Devil’s Disciples MC is all about and getting a glimpse into its members. Baker is a very hot hero who I really loved. The man is so damn sexy. I liked his relationship I guess. I couldn’t really connect with Andy all that much, but I did like her. This one was more about the romance than the MC. You get to see a little bit about the heists they pull off, but it centers more on Baker falling for Andy. I’m looking forward to reading the next book though.
Pretty good book
I enjoyed this book. Baker was a very stern person , but meeting Andy changed Baker’s opinion of what a relationship could be like.
Oh how to begin! So first Scott writes the absolute best dedications in his books, hands down and the dedication for this book is fantastic!
Scott Hildreth is on of my favorite male romance authors! His books grab me by the throat and doesn’t let go until it’s finished! He writes his female characters with strength and sensitivity which even some female romance authors cannot do! His male characters are so, so imperfectly perfect!
This book about Baker and Andy is fabulous! I love how Scott writes his female characters as loving their sexuality and not being ashamed of it! Andy has a reason to be the way she is and she doesn’t apologize for it!
Baker is the President of a motorcycle club and he is all alpha swagger and swoon with a heart of gold! They way Baker and Andy initially meet is fantastic and their first encounter after is hot, hot, hot!
The dialogue is laugh out loud funny and Scott never disappoints with his secondary characters! I hope like hell he is coming out with more about the Devil’s Disciples, I am revved up for more!
Love Baker
This book was so good, had a great storyline and great characters. This is a different kind of MC romance and that was unexpected. Just like any book you read of Scott’s it’s hard to put down.
Generally I liked it. It started out great, and there were some HOT moments, and a bit of suspense ,but the ending felt a little rushed. I also think it could’ve been developed a bit more.
It also left me hanging on one point…but that’s a spoiler. Maybe it will be addressed in the next book.
Not as good for me as The Filthy F***ers series—which I LOVED—but I see the potential here.
Looking forward to the next book. Seems like there are some interesting characters besides Baker in the Devil’s Disciples MC club.
4 starsI
Loved the female Lead,
She Wasn’t some VESTAL VIRGIN, She knew what she wanted and she got it.
OVER ALL A GREAT STORY GREAT INTRODUCTION TO A NEW SERIES,
GOOSES STORY NEXT PLEASE
It’s time to take a ride with a brand new MC from the mind of Scott Hildreth. For those who have read Scott before, the Devil’s Disciples is like no MC he has written before . . .prepare yourselves for an entirely new type of MC brotherhood.
Andy needs a job. Having moved to San Diego to live with her cousin after being fired when she didn’t follow protocol when the bank she worked in was robbed, she’s out of money and can’t really include her last job as a reference. Things finally start looking up when she finagles herself a job as a property manager . . . especially when she lays eyes on the sexy biker who just happens to live and work in the building next to the one she manages.
President of the Devil’s Disciples, Baker is completely unprepared when he sees his new neighbor, who happens to be the sassy and smokin’ hot manager from the bank his MC robber six months ago. He knows he has to get her to quit and move away before the rest of his brothers see her, however, when their chemistry burns hot enough to set the building on fire, they end up sleeping together before they even exchange names.
Baker now needs to figure out how to reconcile Andy with his brothers . . .as he’s not willing to walk away from the one woman to ever catch his interest for more than one night. Once Andy gets to know a bit more about Baker, she has to decide if she can trust in the man he is knowing that the club isn’t always on the right side of the law.
Baker and the rest of the club are not your typical bikers. I don’t want to give anything away, but Scott has really set up a unique scenario with the Disciples that I can’t wait to watch play out through the series. Baker has a lot of baggage from his past and has trust issues with anyone but his brothers, so finding himself attracted to Andy for more than just sex is a completely new experience for him.
Andy has her trust issues as well, and for good reason. She likes Baker, but figures he will just end up disappointing her like every other man in her life ever has. When she finds out how much more to Baker there really is, she needs to do a lot of soul searching to see if she can accept all he is as well as what he and the rest of his brothers bring to the table.
As usual, Scott did an amazing job with his side characters. I loved Mort, Mr. Greene and Holly as well as the glimpses we got to see of the rest of the Disciples, especially Goose and Cash.
I’m completely intrigued and read this book pretty much in one sitting from start to finish. 4.5 star
First book in a new series and I can’t wait to see where this MC goes next.
The Devil’s Disciples is not like any of Mr. Hildreth’s last MC clubs he’s created. Baker’s MC is not remotely law abiding. In fact, that’s how Baker first meets Andy, robbing her bank. Things get interesting when Andy’s new job puts her right next door to the MC’s clubhouse. I like most of the other guys in this little MC, but I’m not sure Cash is one of them. His personality just rubs me the wrong way so far.
Overall, great start for the new series, but there were a few unanswered questions. I’m hoping those will be addressed in future books.
