One magical spell.
Four shifter siblings with a debt to pay.
300 moons.
A brand new series of standalones from USA Today bestselling author Tasha Black.
Some people in Tarker’s Hollow said Kate Harkness was a witch. Others said she was an angel.
But to the foundlings at the Harkness Home for Gifted Orphans, she was just Mom. Mom with a long ponytail of frizzy yellow hair, smiling so hard her … ponytail of frizzy yellow hair, smiling so hard her sunburnt cheeks nearly covered her eyes. Mom, pushing a wheelbarrow or driving the pick-up truck that pulled the hayride at Harkness Farms. Mom laying down the law when you messed up, and making you want to cry with pride when you had earned her gruff praise.
Every precocious shifter brought into her care was visited by Gloria Cortez on the night of his or her arrival. Although Mrs. Cortez’s role in their every day lives wasn’t as evident as Mom’s it was no less important.
The tiny woman would cradle the child in her warm arms and whisper a sweet song to him or her, though none could ever remember the words.
“Three hundred moons, Kate,” she would say with a crinkly-eyed smile, handing the child off again.
“And then what, Gloria?” the other children heard Mom whisper one night, when they had snuck downstairs to hear the ceremony for a new sibling.
“And then we wait. We’ll find out soon enough,” Mrs. Cortez replied.
The children believed that Mrs. Cortez was giving them the power to control their animals. But whenever they asked Mom about it, she told them they would know well enough when they were older.
Derek’s 300th moon is here.
Can he restrain the bear inside him long enough to make it back to Tarker’s Hollow? Or will he give in to his passions and lose his only chance at control?

I am always on the look out for shifter characters who I can love. I read Bait This, and loved it. Tasha brings the characters to life in such a realistic fashion… Derek is alpha yet sensitive, exactly how I love to read and write them… such a lovely surprise to find this series xxx
Nice quick read. Enjoyed.
Derek Harkness is a bear shifter who started shifting at a very early age. He was brought to Harkness Farms to live and magic was used to stop him shifting for 300 moons. Derek’s 300 moons are coming to an end so he is headed home for a visit when the plane he is traveling in goes down. Derek survives the crash but he is now in what appears to be the middle of no where. Derek is looking around and picks up a wonderful scent only to discover it’s a woman. Hedda Lane is a witch who has a mission to keep evil at bay and she is willing to sacrifice everything to fulfill her mission. As soon as Derek and Hedda meet they are drawn to each other but a dark presence is also drawn to them and they have to fight the evil presence at every turn. I love this book the story is amazing with wonderful character. This is a must read if you love shifters.
300 Moons — the end of the time is nearing. Derek is heading home to the family farm. That journey is interrupted. His control is weakening even as he meets Hedda, a witch who guards a disaster area against a supernatural enemy. Wow!! This is a standalone book. It is a page turner, a romance, suspenseful tale. I picked this book up and had a difficult time putting it down. Bravo! Note: I discovered Tasha Black less than 2 months ago — I have devoured 9 books so far (2 series complete and now 300 Moons). Major thumbs up for Tasha Black!

Paranormal galore! Hedda & Derek are totally opposite when you look at their bank accounts but money can’t fill an empty heart. Hedda has powerful magic and uses it, Derek has a bear that he denies at every opportunity. Although their have a lot of opposites, they powerfully attract. Johnny and Neve are so perfect together. well developed characters, entertaining dialogue and some hot & steamy scenes that will keep the reader engaged & the pages turning! I did not want to stop or put it down once I started reading 😮 lol … Like the Pied Piper, drawing me in
Paranormal galore! Hedda & Derek are totally opposite when you look at their bank accounts but money can’t fill an empty heart. Hedda has powerful magic and uses it, Derek has a bear that he denies at every opportunity. Although their have a lot of opposites, they powerfully attract. Derek’s denial opens up a dangerous twist which eventually brings them closer together. I felt sorry for Hedda because she carries a burden and is punishing herself with isolation. I felt sorry for Derek too because of his abandonment issues. Sparks fly between these two instantly and they quickly accept their fate and team up to protect each other. I like both of these characters, they have very realistic issues, I enjoyed their story because of that, their adventure, their equality in spite of their differences. I hope to hear more from them in future books in this 300 Moons series.
