It’s the last day of school, and everyone is excited for the big summer leading up to our senior year. I was too…until my heart was ripped out of my chest. As if getting dumped wasn’t bad enough, I’m forced to endure the humiliation of witnessing my ex-boyfriend flaunt his new girl—who also happens to be my now ex-best friend—all over town. Double whammy. Now I’m the pathetic ex-girlfriend left … ex-girlfriend left gutted, heartbroken, and nose deep in a bucket of ice cream. I’m doomed to spend the summer sulking over a guy who thought I was predictable and bad in bed.
So, when I get an offer guaranteeing me some well-deserved payback, of course I’m going to take it. Besides, the plan is simple. Pretend like I’m dating Ryder, the town’s popular bad boy, and make my ex wallow in a pit of jealousy and regret. It’s perfect.
I mean…what could possibly go wrong?

Ryder is the hot bad boy you’ve always wanted to date. Piercings. Tattoos. super protective. If you love YA and you haven’t read Bailey and the Bad Boy, what are you doing!?!? There’s enough drama and angst to have you throwing your Kindle and begging R. Linda for more.
An awesome well written story. This sweet romance was perfect with all the emotions needed for a good clean story. The storyline included self discovery, angst, love, betrayal and lots of passionate amazing kissing. Bailey was publically dumped by her boyfriend and it hurt. Going ahead on holiday with her friends which included ex Chace she finds him and her best friend in a scandalous lip lock and is devasted but Ryder drops everything and comes and rescues her. Ryder the bad boy, is incredibly sweet and they decide to fake a relationship because they both want to get back at Chace. Ryder opened Bailey up and helped her become her own person rather than what everyone else wants. This story included so much more, I will definetly be rereading and putting in my permanent library.

freaking loved Bailey and the Bad Boy. Did not see the twist that came at the end. I really loved the characters R. Linda brought to this story. The fact that she wrote about what really happens in today’s society with high schoolers, made her story seem so real. Ryder was definitely my favorite character, he seemed like a tough guy but in reality that wasnt him at all. He had a heart of gold. Now, chace on the other hand was a real freakin douche, I couldnt stand him LOL But I loved seeing Bailey grow into her own person and realizing what really mattered in life. I really enjoyed reading this story and can’t wait to see what’s to come next from these characters.
A interesting take on the fake boyfriend story. Loved the character development and how the relationship develops. The ending is great as well. Overall a great book.
Wowsers… I can’t believe I have finally read it! I’ve been waiting for MONTHS to start this series and I’m already in love.
So much hotness, emotion and drama in this story- it kept me completely engrossed.
Bailey is beautiful, inside and out.
Ryder is so hot, swoon worthy and totally my new book boyfriend.
Can’t wait to dive into the next book, if it’s even half as amazing as this was, I’m in for a treat!
R. Linda, I’m your newest fan!
If you didn’t know this about me you are about to learn it, I love love love bad boy stories, they are my guilty pleasure, well I wouldn’t say guilty pleasure because I’d totally admit to it freely. I love these kinds of stories something about them just makes my heart melt. Bad boys are definitely one of my favourite things to read about! This is a debut book from the author and she did not disappoint, this had everything I wanted in it. I will definitely be following this author more and see what she comes out with next!
The story follows Bailey as she is dumped by her very popular boyfriend Chase and how she learns to be happy with herself as well as getting a little revenge which everyone loves. It was a very cliche story but I didn’t mind that as I say I love a good cliche sometimes, there was a twist although I expected it (think I’ve read too many of these tbh) but yes it was a good twist and turn and I really liked the cliche in this. I will definitely reread this story when I feel like I’m in a slump.
I really loved Bailey’s character after Chase broke up with her she kind of went on a road of trying to figure out who she was and who she was comfortable being in front of her school peers and stuff. It was nice to see her come into herself. I really loved her personality shining through and her embracing who she really was.
Ryder he was such a sweetheart, I love how school label these people bad boys just because they have a makeover. Ryder really cared for Bailey and was willing to help her get revenge on him for breaking up with her in front of everyone. We don’t discover why Ryder wants to get revenge on Chase but we do soon learn why!
Chase was a proper doosh bag, I literally wanted someone to like run him over or like hit him hard and hard. I hated him, he was a dick. That’s all about Chase and he turned out to be an even bigger dick than we expected!
I loved how in this book Ryder and Bailey both went against the social hierarchy when it came to Chase and the new girlfriend (can’t remember name) they seemed to not care about sticking to it, and the rest of their peers began to see Chase and the girlfriend for what they were horrible and bullies and it was nice for horrible people to finally get justice.
I really do want to tell you what the reason for his bad boy label was but you should read it and find out
A really lovely young adult romance. The characterizations were wonderful of the entire large cast. The characters were well defined and very believable. The story flowed really well and was easy to read. There was a lot of action, both past and present, that greatly impacted the story line. This reader is SO glad they are no longer in this particular angst-riddled, first time experiences/adventures without any background or foundation to draw strength and wisdom from. This book is part of a series and I look forward to reading the other novels as well. I generally steer away from young adult romances but this series has me hooked. Good Reading.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel via Booksprout and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
This was a fantastic story about losing first love and finding true love. Bailey was by her boyfriend of two years, for her best friend and Ryder a boy who has been secretly in love with Bailey for years. The characters were wonderful and real. The storyline reflected real teenage drama with . few twists. Bailey and the Bad Boy was full of drama, heartache, fear, anger, jealousy, secrets, passion, flirtatious wit, and love. Readers will laugh and cry with Bailey, Ryder, and their situation. Readers will love this book and won’t want to put this book down. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Until next time… Happy Reading!
Dangerously addicting and utterly adorable, this story is the perfect read for a hopeless romantic and, well, anyone who has ever been a girl, in love, or likes irresistible boys. Bailey is one of the most relatable protagonists and the author has beautifully crafted Bailey to feel just like an echo of any of us. I found myself living through Bailey’s eyes; crying, laughing, and falling in love while eating pints of peanut butter and ice cream. This is a MUST READ for anyone who appreciates the winding path of unconditional love and a story you can’t put down.
the story moves way too fast instead of naturally progressing at a steady pace
Annoying, boring and Bailey is a crying mess. I couldn’t finish this book.
First time reading this author and I loved the book. The setting takes place in high school. For me, it had all the feels of an awesome romance book. I loved the characters, I loved the story line. It has suspense, drama and a twist. It’s an amazing book and I would recommend reading it.
My book boyfriend lives here
I don’t understand all the hate reviews this book was really good. It’s definitely a book for teens and young adults it’s doesn’t go into full depth with steamy parts so if your into books like that you’ll definitely like this one!
Sweet, closed-door, high school romance
Sweet romance, but about 100 pages could have been cut out. I don’t need quite so much mooning over the old boyfriend, or telling me how wonderful the soon-to-be-traitorous best friend is. Once it finally got going it was good, until around 60% then it dragged on until we finally get to the climax. I also think they spent too much time trying to set up book 2 which did not endear the male lead in that book to me in the least. I also got the feeling this ended with a HFN and not a HEA.
Full disclosure: My husband says he does not feel I am not a good judge of pace because I don’t like to save my dessert until after the meal.
What a book. It just sucked you in. You felt everything no Matter how old you are you’ve been there where you were lost and confused and brokenHearted and you could totally relate to Bailey. First of all Christina and chase were horrible human beings and I was ecstatic karma finally did her thing. Loved Ryder. Omg he was amazing. You could tell her liked her from the start with how tender he was and how easy it was for him to be around her. He helped her heal and be herself again. Loved how the plot thickened and we learned so many crazy things!! Poor Kenzie. Cole is adorable!! Wow poor indie. Stupid linc. Can’t wait for all their books!!
4 stars for Bailey and The Bad Boy by R. Linda. This is book 1 in the Scandalous series. This is my first book from this author, but it will not be my last. Bailey’s boyfriend broke up with her out of the blue. In comes Ryder, the school’s bad boy. His idea is to have Bailey pretend to date him to make Chace mad. What happens when feelings start to become real. Ryder has secrets and his own reason for doing this, the question is can Bailey trust him.
I loved this book and all the drama that came with it. It is part of a series but it is a standalone. I would consider it a mature young adult book. I will say there were some twist and turns that I did not expect at all. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. I am looking forward to reading more from this author and more of this series.
Bailey and the Bad Boy follows Bailey, who was recently dumped by her bf and quickly replaced with her best friend. Heartbroken, our heroine doesnt know what to do, when she gets an offer from the resident bad boy, Ryder. He’s willing to fake a relationship with her to get back at her ex-bf. Bailey never expected to fall for Ryder in this process. If you enjoy high school romance, I definitely recommend this book!
My favorite kind of books, romantic without being overly sexually descriptive! Its a clean romance which is like finding a needle in a hay stack anymore. I truly adored this book & this series.
