It’s the last day of school, and everyone is excited for the big summer leading up to our senior year. I was too…until my heart was ripped out of my chest. As if getting dumped wasn’t bad enough, I’m forced to endure the humiliation of witnessing my ex-boyfriend flaunt his new girl—who also happens to be my now ex-best friend—all over town. Double whammy. Now I’m the pathetic ex-girlfriend left … ex-girlfriend left gutted, heartbroken, and nose deep in a bucket of ice cream. I’m doomed to spend the summer sulking over a guy who thought I was predictable and bad in bed.
So, when I get an offer guaranteeing me some well-deserved payback, of course I’m going to take it. Besides, the plan is simple. Pretend like I’m dating Ryder, the town’s popular bad boy, and make my ex wallow in a pit of jealousy and regret. It’s perfect.
I mean…what could possibly go wrong?

High school angst and drama has brought Bailey & Ryder together. Bailey’s boyfriend was perfect until he wasn’t. Her best friend who she leaned on during her heartbreak stabbed her in the back. Feeling hurt, betrayed, and lost, Ryder proposes a plan for payback. As they spend time together Bailey realizes her feelings are changing for Ryder. But does Ryder feel the same?
High school teens experience many firsts – first love, first betrayal, first heartbreak. Bailey deals with all of this and Ryder is there for her. This was a great read & I look forward to reading Indie’s book!
I love nothing more than a good YA book that has characters you love and love to hate. This book definitely delivered both! Angst, drama, catty b*tches and karma at her best, who could ask for anything more???? I love Ryder! Where was he when I was in high school? This was such a great story and well written. I can’t wait to read the next book!
I forget how emotional teenagers can be when faced with heartbreak. I can sympathize with Bailey on how wrong she was treated by Chace and Christina but I wanted her to stop crying all the time. I loved how sweet Ryder was and glad that he finally got the girl.
She was happy until the last day of school when her boyfriend dumped her and then went around with her ex best friend. Now she is down in the dumps so when he comes along and asks her to be his pretend girlfriend. Well you would well so does she. Easy. Maybe not? See what will happen

What a great story. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started it since I had never read anything form this author before, but I was pleasantly surprised. This story is about a girl named bailey who gets her heart broken twice over by her best friend and her now boyfriend. She destroyed until a boy named Ryder makes her an offer she can’t refuse. Pretend to be over her ex and date him until it’s all true. The plan comes with the added bonus of getting back at her ex and pissing him off because he hates Ryder, almost as much as Ryder hates him. This story is one of young love, first times, heartbreak and survival. Plus, there are some serious twist toward the end of the book that are shocking to say the least. I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading what comes next.
Don’t judge book by it’s cover.
Don’t judge book by it’s cover. And this time I’m talking not only about the story on these pages but also about the characters. Neither of the protagonists are as they seem to be. Deep inside they are just young people struggling to find their place in life and sort out their actions and emotions.
Yes it is set in high school, yes it has a lot of teenage drama but behind all of this there is a story that tells us how people can be cruel to each other and how many times we do not know their true intentions till it is too late. This is great read, engrossing with wonderfully developed characters. I enjoyed reading it very much.
I really enjoyed reading these story and I enjoyed reading about these two characters Bailey and Ryder. The first chapter had me hooked and I look forward to reading the next book.

This book was so fun to read! I loved it! It was so real that you could not help but relate to the characters. So many people try to act how strong they are to quickly forget and move on from heartbreak when in reality it really does not work that way. This book really has that clear mental picture of what its really like. These may high school kids going through it, but it does not make it any less true. It is also not easy to move on and find someone else that helps mend a broken heart. I think that is way I loved this book so much. There is nothing fake in this story. So worth reading!

An absolutely fantastic YA romance. The characters are strong, likeable, and have great depth. It is a compelling, well written, and interesting read. The plot is consistent and relatable, engaging, and will grip you from beginning to end.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Everything started with Ryder and Bailey..I loved Ryder from beginning to end..
Bailey is coming off of a devastating breakup with her boyfriend. He told her he wanted to be single for a while but he started dating her best friend! The deception and betrayal cut deep but Ryder had a solution to her mortification. He suggested that they become fake boyfriend and girlfriends. His plan worked and caused a lot of drama with it. There was more to the story and when it all comes out people will see some of their friends in a whole different light.

I am a big fan of Ya one of my favourite genres and when I find a good one all I want to do is rave and get excited. This is a debut novel for Renee Linda and I am so super excited to see what is next.
The thing I loved most about this book was, it was true high school, there was drama, backstabbing, fighting, and what I really loved was there wasn’t really any sex scenes they sort of faded to black. I’m at the stage where I could use less sex but that’s just the phase I’m in and this book was perfect for it.
I loved the storyline in this one, it wasn’t just about teenagers fighting over boys etc, it was about coming of age and seeing how a character can grow with all the tests that come thier way.
Bailey was an awesome character, it was like when her heart was breaking so was yours and it was like you could feel everything she was feeling. I enjoyed reading about her life and how she grew up and took responsibility in one year of high school.
Ryder was some sort of special, I loved him from the start helps he was a bad boy, but I think he was so misunderstood that people didn’t see him and that was sad. I loved how passionate he was and how he just wanted to help everyone out. He was your sexy, bad boy with the softer side.
I really thought that this story was fantastic to the point I didn’t want to put it down I had to know how this was going to end. I loved the authors writing and I could feel the connection through her writing.
Beautiful story that deserves a big 5 Stars from me
Slightly predictable but in a way that still makes me happy and satisfied with the book.
Bailey and the Bad Boy is a cute, sweet, sexy YA novel, and I love, love, LOVED it!
Oh, Ryder . . . *sigh* I just plain adored him. He’s everything a young girl would want in a boy: sweet, sexy, protective, thoughtful, and dedicated. And Bailey, there were times I was jealous of her, and I’m so happy she was a great partner to Ryder.
Most of all, I highly enjoyed that she talked to Ryder. Yes, there were arguments, but they were resolved appropriately. And the drama, there was just the right amount without making me want to throw my kindle (in a not so nice way).
If you are looking for a YA novel with ALL THE FEELS, this is one you NEED to read. I’m so glad I came across this novel, and you can bet that I’ll be anxiously awaiting R. Linda’s next book.
Not sure it’s realistic for the hot bad boy to wait around… some great, funny moments. Also not sure a high school guy would have his level of maturity or responsibility. Nice to dream, though.
