Looks can be deceiving in this hilarious enemies-to-lovers romcom complete with a shocking secret hobby, a heavy metal playlist, and an uninvited wedding guest!Chris Everson has a pretty sweet life: a great job as a state trooper, lots of buddies to hang out with, and he lives at the beach. What could be better? But he’s harboring a secret–a secret that doesn’t fit with his whole tough guy cop … whole tough guy cop persona. He’s gone to great lengths to keep his secret from his guy friends AND the women he dates.
Brynne Miller’s job as an ER doctor means she’s always meeting cops. In fact, she’s dated so many that her friends call her “Badge Bunny.” But she will never date Chris Everson. Nope. Not a chance. He managed to piss her off within two seconds of meeting him…and first impressions are everything.
Aren’t they?
Badge Bunny is part of the Romance in Rehoboth Series, where the ladies are strong and independent and the men are actually nice guys. These delightful romantic comedies are set against the backdrop of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware’s top vacation destination and do NOT need to be read in order.

Five Stars
Badge Bunny is the fourth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery. This romantic comedy can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend you read the whole series because all the books are just as good. This book had me hooked from the very first page, and had me staying up way past my bedtime to finish it. I love the characters. They are true to life. The witty banter made me laugh out loud.
Brynn is a strong female character, she is an ER doctor who has a predilection for men in uninformed and Chris is a State Trooper who find himself fascinated with Brynn. This book will have you laughing one moment and reaching for a tissue the next. I have to say this is my favorite book of the series so far. If you are looking for a great fall romance this the book for you.
I give Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth Book 4) by K.L. Montgomery, 5 stars.
Brynne worked long and hard to become an ER doctor, but she loves her job. Helping people is what she was meant to do. The added bonus — all of the hot cops that happen into her ER. But she is done dating them, they are all arrogant jerks. So when Chris happens to come into the hospital, she immediately pegs him as just another one and wants nothing to do with him.
Chris has to take a victim into the ER where he meets Brynne. She is feisty and there is something about her. She acts like she wants nothing to do with him, but he cannot seem to stay away. He is not all he appears, but she doesn’t know that. In fact, he has a very big secret he’s holding onto. When circumstances throw them together for an out of control wedding, will it be their chance or will they realize just how much they can’t stand each other?
This is yet another wonderful addition to the Romance in Rehoboth series. Each one of these books is great — they are not a rehash of the previous one, just with different people. No, there is a unique story in each one. Brynne and Chris are perfect main characters and the people from the previous books are back, along with some new ones you will love. The cast gets bigger and makes each book that much better. The story is fun, there are some crazy things that happen. But you will love it all and will not be able to put it down until you are done. Personally, this not my favorite genre normally, but the setting of lower Delaware drew me into this series. I was pleasantly amazed at just how much I liked it. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
A fun, comedy romance, I highly recommend this book and series.
Badge Bunny has more of the outrageous situations I’ve come to expect from this series! What takes place is a series of events that are so outlandish and crazy- like who comes up with this stuff?! A very creative writer for sure.
Chris has been mentioned in previous books, but now seeing him for all he really is, made me love him. It’s crazy to read that Brynne used to be a badge bunny, and has JUST sworn off cops before meeting him. I love seeing so many of my fave characters in this story, and how they interact and handle chaos that comes their way. I’m so in love with this series, this place, these people. The author could write ten more stories in this series and I would devour them all!
Badge Bunny is the fourth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series, but can be read as a standalone. A fun, contemporary romance read, this book features so many of my favourite things I lost count. If you love your reads with added heart, sass and passion, this one is definitely for you!
As soon as I saw Badge Bunny featured a cop AND a doctor, I became five times more excited than I already was. These are two of my favourite occupations to read about, as let’s be honest, who can refuse a read featuring a sexy cop? After the first couple of pages I could already tell I was going to love this book, so I settled in, made a cup of tea and prepared to lose myself in Chris and Brynne’s story!
All of the characters in this book, and series, are so well-developed, believable and relatable, I found myself really connecting with Brynne and I loved all the different sides to her personality. Her sassiness, especially when directed at Chris, was so much fun to read, as was her wicked sense of humour. I love it when our leading ladies are intelligent women, so Brynne was perfectly matched for my tastes. As was a certain cop with a very interesting (and cute!) side business. I loved this plot twist with Chris and, if possible, made me fall even more in love with the story. He is just the right amount of cocky and it was so great seeing his and Brynne’s relationship develop and grow. I can safely say they are one of my favourite couples of 2018!
Having finished Badge Bunny I know exactly what I’m going to do next: read the rest of the series! I am completely hooked on these characters and want to know so much more about them and how the existing couples came to be together. If you’re a contemporary romance lover, this is a must-read. Thanks to the author for such a well-written and enjoyable book!
I was so excited to read this book because I absolutely love this author! Badge Bunny by KL Montgomery is book four in the Romance in Rehoboth. One does not really have to read all of the other books in this series but they do tie into one another and it’s a good look inside some of the characters from previous stories lives since. I looooved this book and was captivated from the first chapter. Brynne is an ER doctor who has a sort of reputation of dating police officers. Chris is a state trooper who simply cannot catch Brynne’s attention. I truly love Montgomery’s writing style and how she allows the characters a show burning relationship. Each character is witty and charming and they compliment each other well. I definitely recommend this book as well as the rest in the series. Happy that I’ve found an author who can catch my beginning and keep it throughout!
Badge Bunny a person who dates A LOT of cops; is the fourth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery and my first book by this author. I love small town romance because secrets are never secrets for long.
Chris and Brynne don’t like each other much at first or should I say Brynne doesn’t care for Trooper A**Hat at first. When Chris and Brynne stopped bickering and let their feeling move forward, it was an emotional sweet cute story. There is so much to this story other than two people meeting and falling in love.
If the first three books are anything like this enjoyable funny slow burn Rom Com than I need to go back and start this series from the beginning, this group of friends are hilarious.
This romantic comedy is the fourth book in the series. It can be a standalone, but I suggest reading the other books especially since they all take place in Rehoboth. Brynne, aka Badge Bunny is an ER doctor who is swearing off men with any kind of uniform. She is on duty when Chris, the state trooper is a frequent person to the ER and just happens to be a man in uniform. She is trying to ward off feeling for him but there is a snafu with that plan. Montgomery has a way of getting my interest in the characters and associate them with people in my life. The story line is fresh with a new couple being the main focus, but we do see our other couples in the story as well. Montgomery has a way of making me scream, yell, laugh and cry, to me that is the making of a good story.
Badge Bunny is the fourth book in the Romance in Rehobeth series, and it is a contemporary romance novel by K.L. Montgomery. It is the story of a 29 year old young man named Christopher “Chris” Everson. Chris is a Delaware State Trooper who has lived in the Rehobeth Beach community since he was adopted at the age of 8 years old. Both of Chris’ birth parents were killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. One of the reasons that Chris became a State Trooper is so that he can arrest as many drunk drivers as he can, so that he can try to prevent these drunk drivers from killing any more innocent people and ruining any more lives. Chris is also the author of a successful series of children’s books under the pen name of C.J. Evans. Chris has kept the fact that he is a children’s book author a secret from all of his friends and family, even going so far as to wear a disguise when he appears at book signings. He knows that if they were ever to find out that he was a children’s book author that they would forever give him a really hard time, and even call him names. As part of Chris’ job as State Trooper he sometimes must accompany accident victims or people who have been assaulted to the Lewes Hospital Emergency Room. On one of these occasions occurs when Chris meets a very attractive female ER physician named Dr. Brynne Miller, MD, whom he mistakingly assumes is a nurse in the ER. When Chris tries to ask Brynne out on a date since he is very attracted to her and can’t stop thinking about her, she refuses him and says that she will never date another cop again. Chris is determined to change Brynne’s mind about going out on a date with him.
This story is also about Dr. Brynne Miller, MD, who is a 32 year old physician in the ER at the Lewes Hospital in Lewes, Delaware. Brynne has worked in the Lewes Hospital’s ER for several years and loves everything about her job except the crazy hours that she has to work. Brynne moved to Lewes so that she could be closer to her older brother, Ben, and his wife, Jamie, who are the only family that she has. Brynne’s parents divorced when she was a senior in high school, and neither parent has remained in hers or her brother’s lives since she left for her freshman year of college. Brynne has recently broken up with a man named Todd, who is a police officer who she met in the course of her job. Brynne says that she meets most of the men that she dates in the ER, and most of the men happen to be cops. In fact, due to the fact that Brynne dates so many cops, her friends and acquaintances in the ER have nicknamed her a “Badge Bunny”. After Brynne meets Christopher Everson in the ER and he asks her out on a date the next time she sees him there, she tells him that she won’t date any more cops because she believes that they are arrogant, sexist, jerks – she also doesn’t want to be called a “Badge Bunny”, but she doesn’t tell him that. Even though she believes that Chris is also one of those jerk cops, and even calls him, “Trooper Asshat” to herself when she thinks about him, Brynne is still thinking about him, which bothers her a lot, and recognizes that she is physically attracted to him even if she doesn’t want to be. Will Chris be able to convince Brynne that he is not a jerk like those other cops that she has dated, and get her to go out on a date with him?
I very much enjoyed this fourth book in the “Romance in Rehobeth” series by K.L. Montgomery. Even though I have read all of the books in the series, it is not necessary to have read them to enjoy this stand-alone romance novel. I really liked that the author has the characters of Chris and Brynne tell the story from each of their perspectives, too. Brynne is a strong and very smart woman, and Chris doesn’t fit into the category of a “typical” cop, since he is also a children’s book author, which is another reason that I really enjoyed this book. I also like reading more about the couples that I’ve met in some of the author’s previous books in this series. I definitely recommend this book to readers who enjoy a good romance novel as much as I do.
Badge Bunny was a great 5 star read and book four in the Romance in Rehoboth series.
Brynne is an ER doc who has sworn off men in uniform. Chris is a state patrol officer whose job brings him into the ER quite often.
The first time that Brynne meets Chris, let’s just say that Chris didn’t make a very good impression and pretty much insulted Brynne without realizing it. When Chris asks Brynne out he gets quite an earful on why she doesn’t date cops anymore. I had a lol moment with his response to her.
Brynne is very annoyed by Chris but yet she notices very much how hot he is. She can’t stop thinking about him and when they both end up at the same wedding things take an interesting twist.
Can these two get past their issues and have a HEA?
This was a great read, I had several LOL moments. All of the characters are so lovable and sassy. The secondary characters added a good element to the story. It was great seeing some of the other characters from the earlier books. Once I started I couldn’t put it down until I was done. This author continues to pull me in with her writing and I can’t wait to read the next book. 1-click and get started today on this great series.
This is the fourth book of the series and can be read as a standalone but i recommend reading the others too as they are brilliant. The storyline was wicked full of humour, romance, intense moments and was a read thoughrally enjoyed! Chris and Brynne are both very stubborn characters, they have amazing chemistry but thing’s aren’t easy between them that’s for sure. I absolutely loved the chemistry between them it made me smile alot but they bove are very cautious to take the next step. I found this novel had me hooked i read it all in one sitting and can’t wait to read more from this author.
Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth #4)
By K.L. Montgomery
Rated 5 stars!
I loved this book! The story was amazing and made me laugh more than once. The characters added such charm. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and all their quirks. There were a few new faces as well as many from the previous books. I laughed…well more than once and sat with a silly smile on my face while reading this captivating story.
Brynne, Brynne, Brynne. You gave me so much enjoyment. You are a feisty redhead who loves a thrill but keeps her head in difficult situations. I can’t help but Smile about the way you react when you are called a NURSE!! Plus your secret nickname for Trooper Everson! LOL! That just makes me laugh!
Chris! You are a sweetie who doesn’t turn down a good dare. You wanted to be a cop because that is the closest you can come to being a Superhero! So sweet and nerdie at the same time! I know being a cop is dangerous but I can’t help but laugh out loud when you apprehend suspects. Your thoughts and antics made this book super funny. Oh..oh and Pub Golf?!? I loved reading about that…all of it! it sounds like such fun!
This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite by far! I see there is another in the series coming!! can’t wait! I also enjoyed the cute little icons at the beginning of each chapter.
Keep up the good work!
Badge Bunny is the fourth book in K.L. Montgomery’s Romance in Rehoboth series. As it can be read as a standalone then this is what I did – I was intrigued by the title and the synopsis and thought, hi, let’s see what spin the writer will take us on! And of course, she did not disappoint! I absolutely love stories with strong and independent heroines that are not waiting around to be saved! Add to this a bit of humour and comedy and what else does one need – you have a top notch Rom Com/Enemies to Lovers story!
Badge Bunny is the story of the ER doctor Brynne Miller aka the ‘Badge Bunny’ and Chris Everson who is a state trooper and who managed to piss off Brynne within 2 seconds of meeting her! So how do you get over that first impression that is compounded with follow up meetings where Chris manages to annoy the heck out of Brynne? Well, you put them together in major crisis that simply demands that they need to work together to handle it!
I think I need to pick up the first three books of the series as I absolutely fell in love with that tears and laughter combination and real life size and believable characters!
Badge Bunny by K.L. Montgomery a five-star read that will make you hop. This is book four in the Romance in Rehoboth series and my favourite of the whole series, the can be read as stand-alone but characters do pop up in each other’s stories, I have read as a series and enjoyed it as such. This book was sublime, I loved how Chris Everson the dark and broody Trooper who has a way with words that melt underwear as well as much else has this whole other side to him, he is such a playboy that I was convinced his secret was that he was a male entertainer, he just has the confidence for it. Needless to say, it’s not that but it will make your heart warm. Its not just him that isn’t what you expect on the surface, Brynne Miller is also not what she seems, a studious doctor on the surface, and a metal head badge bunny underneath, but just like deaf leppard she can change her spots, just because police officers are all she meets in her job, doesn’t mean she has to date them does it? This story will keep you hooked as they fight the drama and get ready for a wedding, will it all work in the end? You need to read the story to find out.
Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth Book 4) by K.L. Montgomery
5 out of 5 stars
Badge bunny is the fourth book in the Rehoboth series written by Ms. Montgomery and the third book in this series that I have read. While it is part of a series it is a stand-alone. I enjoyed the characters and their quirky ways and the storyline is funny and entertaining. Also this author’s writing style as it is easy flowing and engaging.
This is Chris and Brynne story and I can promise you will get a kick out of it.
Brynne Miller’s job as an ER doctor means she’s always meeting cops. In fact, she’s dated so many that her friends/coworkers call her “Badge Bunny.” But she will never date Chris Everson. Nope. Not a chance. He managed to piss her off within two seconds of meeting him and first impressions are everything.
Aren’t they?
Chris Everson has a pretty sweet life: a great job as a state trooper, lots of buddies to hang out with, and he lives at the beach. What could be better? But he’s harboring a secret–a secret that doesn’t fit with his whole tough guy cop persona. He’s gone to great lengths to keep his secret from his guy.
They both have secrets what happens when they come out? Can they over-come them or will they walk away from each other?
I really enjoyed this book/series….

A laugh out loud romantic comedy that will have you turning the pages to discover what happens next with this enemies to lovers story.
Badge Bunny written by K.L. Montgomery
4 Stars
This series is great because if you read out of order you will not be left confused. Each is a stand-alone, but you’ll want to go back and read any you skipped. You’ll enjoy glimpses of you other favorite couples sprinkled throughout the story. I love when authors bring back familiar characters even if they aren’t the highlight of the story.
This book is filled with friendship, humor, chemistry, alpha, strong woman (yay), secrets, unexpected moments…have I mentioned humor.
This is a perfect book to keep you engaged, flipping the pages unable to put the down the book, makes your heart happy with all the laughter, wanting the secret revealed to see if they can be compatible with all their cards on the table. There is something about this couple that makes you wish they were your real life friends.
5 Stars
Badge Bunny is the latest instalment in the ‘Romance in Rehoboth’ series by K.L Montgomery. It is such a great Rom Com/Enemies to Lovers story- and has taken top billing as my favourite of Ms. Montgomery’s books, so far. It could definitely be read as a standalone, even though it is the fourth book in the collection, as the series is made up of standalone stories- each book centres on its own particular couple, but the common factor is that the stories are all are set against the backdrop of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. But, I really do recommend reading all the other books too- because they are wonderful stories in their own rights.
Brynne Miller is a busy ER Doctor, who has a penchant for a man in uniform, dating so many that she’s earned the nickname of “Badge Bunny’ (which she hates). But, Brynne has decided that they’re all the same, full of themselves- and has sworn off them all.
Chris Everson is a State Trooper who is a bit of a man’s-man. There is a lot more to him than meets the eye. His job means he frequents the ER on ‘business’. He’s immediately attracted to Brynne, but she is quite prickly and doesn’t give him a chance.
Brynne’s first impression of Chris was less than impressive- he annoys and frustrates her. But these two find themselves at the same wedding- and a major crisis demands that they work together to handle the situation.
With them both keeping things close to their chests, what happens when everything is revealed? Will Brynne let go of her first impression of Chris, admit that she’s attracted to him, and give him a chance? Does romance ever stand a chance of developing?
As I have said many times now, Ms. Montgomery is a masterful storyteller- easily able to tempt readers into her story and keep them completely hooked right from the beginning, till the very last word. I love how her story depicts characters that are realistic, believable, and relatable…. The fact that characters from other books also make appearances, is just the icing on the cake- getting to glimpse a little of what’s happening in their life too.
Superb!
Thank you, Ms. Montgomery!
Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth Book 4) by K.L. Montgomery was a frustrating, fun, light hearted, sassy read that had me hooked from start to finish.
Not my first read by this author or in this series. This series follows the lives of different couples, all connected in some way. They are stand-a-longs, so no worries about reading out of order, but be warned, there are spoilers in these book, as they have recurring characters. So I do suggest reading these books in order.
Every time I read one these books, they just keep getting better and better, and I do hope there is more to come. These characters are so real and every book has a positive message, and I love how the romance is builded up. It gives you time to feel, and process, that these character do in fact love one another, and are falling hard. Nothing feels forced and that makes these, slightly, cheesy romances, all the more enjoyable. God I want this series to get pick up by the W network or just any network, or movie people.
There is only one thing that bother me about this book, it was a scene, and I don’t want to say it cause, spoiler.. but I will say that it involved a cold water swim, in undies. That for me was a little unbelievable. Cause 1, one of the things I teach and have been taught is sea survival. It’s all about surviving in cold water, and I will tell you no matter how good a swimmer you think you are, without proper gear, your ass isn’t making it long, in a cold water swim. And 2, worst thing they did was take of their clothes. Smart thing would have been to layer up and get some life jackets. Believe it or not that layer of clothes creates a barrier, and warms with your body heat. Going in your skivvies, opens you up to heat loss faster. I don’t believe I need to explain hypothermia.
Anyways, enough about that
This book follow’s Chris Everson, if you have been following the series you know he makes appearance in the other books. He’s a cop, good looking, and well, I don’t want to tell you his other secret, cause that will ruin the fun and surprise. I’ve like him from the other books, and getting inside his head in this one, was a treat. He isn’t how he appears, and in truth I loved him even more in this book, and though I liked my girl Brynne (This stories love interest), I got to say, Chris really stole the show for me. Brynne had her moments, she was unique, smart, quirky but hey, she didn’t really grow you could say. Chris on the other hand went through a major change. He opened up, accepted that there’s not labels on what is to be manly. He showed his true passion and fully embraced it.
Overall this book was a solid five for me, even with that one scene. This is that perfect late summer read, setting sun cool breeze. So please take my super high recommendation and stamp of approval. Because believe me when I say that you will not only fall in love with this unique cast of characters but with K.L. Montgomery writing.
Happy Reading

My favorite so far! Badge Bunny is the fourth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by KL Montgomery. You can read this book as a standalone. You don’t need to read the first three to enjoy this book! However, the characters in the other books are featured in this story. In this story we meet up with Dr. Brynne Miller and Corporal Chris Evanston. Brynne is a doctor in the emergency room and Chris is a state trooper that becomes enamored with Brynne while bringing a victim in to the E.R. At this point, Brynne has sworn off ALL cops! Her co-workers have deemed her “Badge Bunny.” But this story is all about understanding that not everyone is as they seem. Turns out that Brynne isn’t as tough as she comes off as and Chris isn’t the womanizer that Brynne thinks he is. Although Chris is harboring a secret he is determined to show Brynne that he really is just a nice guy. Happenstance has them paired up at a wedding and from there is when they learn more about each other and just how much they are great together. Their banter is great and their connection is sizziling. I love the interaction between them and the other characters from the other books. I loved finding out Chris’s secret because it’s definitely not what you think. This book also covers bi-racial marriage and adoptions. This author really knows how to capture the reader and she also knows how to keep them interested. I honestly couldn’t put this down. I would definitely recommend this book!
Badge Bunny by K L Montgomery is the fourth book in a series and is following the story of Chris and Brynne.
Chris is a State Trooper and Brynne is an ER doctor what could possible go wrong with that, well in the first five minutes Chris manages to annoy her and put her into a awful mood, but there is chemistry between them but will a secret Chris holds be the sticking point between the two of them.
This story has a bolt load of chemistry and the two characters are wonderfully written, I love K L Montgomery books and this is no different, the story flows through and you feel like you are in the book living the story with theses two wonderful characters. Although you can read this book as a stand alone book, you may want to read the other books in this series as this crossovers into the lives of Sonnet and Drew with their up coming wedding.
I love all the books this great author writes and you will love this story just like all the rest in this series.
