I was a Sixty-Eight Whiskey–a combat medic. So when I hear someone shout “MEDIC ” training just kicks in. It’s automatic, immediate. I don’t think I even saw the guy whose leg I tended to, not really. All I saw was him. Zane Badd. His tuxedo fit him like he’d been sewn into it, and his eyes reflected the fury and the hardness of a combat veteran, but when he looked at me, he just…softened. By … By the time I had his brother patched, Zane and I were both covered in blood, and I knew I had to have him.
The trouble with Zane isn’t getting him, it’s keeping him.
And the trouble with me is, even if I could hold onto a man like Zane, I wouldn’t know what to do with him. It’s not in my nature, and if life has taught me anything, it’s to not trust anyone, least of all men like Zane. He’s a warrior through and through, hard, muscular, gorgeous, tenacious, and yet oddly tender toward me.
Experience and instincts are telling me to run from Zane Badd as fast as possible, but my heart and my body are telling me to stay, to hold on and not let go. Yeah, it’s a conflict as old as humanity itself, but it’s brand new for me.

Life as Navy SEAL doesn’t exactly prepare you for normality. Yeah, I can tend bar and goof off with my seven crazy brothers, but what do I do when the woman of my dreams–dreams I didn’t know I’d had until I saw her–explodes into my life like a frag grenade? I’m trained to attack, to win, to survive at any costs, and figuring out what to do about a woman like Amarantha Quinn will take every scrap of tenacity and courage I possess. Combat is easy, it turns out, in comparison to facing your own fears and scars.
And then sometimes, just when you think you’ve got it finally figured out, fate throws you a screwball and sends everything FUBAR.

A great read, more character driven than book one and just as steamy.
Loved the H/h personalities and the continued interactions with the other brothers. Fast paced, great flow and good storyline.
This book had me laughing up like a storm so if you need a good laugh in my opinion this is the book you should read lol:) I love how the brothers are with each other it reminds me of my dad with his brothers. He is one of 13 kids don’t worry they’ll not all boys. That’s not counting the bonus children that’s not necessary blood related but still are family members. 🙂
This was my favorite one out of the series so far.
Fast pace full of drama and entertainment. Love the BADD brothers. Zane and Mara have a very intense and romantic week. Hot steamy and HOT. Won’t be disappointed
Good solid book
This Story is About Zane And Mara
Although this book is considered a standalone, and you don’t actually have to read book one to enjoy this book, you really should…..The series is good so far….and I don’t want to have to keep saying this, because these Badd brothers are all hot, and have strong connections with the women they pic…Jasinda Wilder knows how to write smoking hot chemistry….Also, if you have already read book 1, you will know Sebastian and Dru, at whose wedding reception, BADD ASS begins…
When Zane Badd and one of his brothers accidentally get hurt in a “brotherly scuffle” at Sebastian and Dru’s wedding reception, ex Navy SEAL, Zane instinctively calls for a MEDIC, and Ex Army medic, Mara Quinn, just happens to be in the crowd, and her instinct is to go toward that voice…..
Both Zane and Mara are intending to be in Ketchikan for temporary periods…Zane is trying to fulfill his fathers dying wish, and that puts him working at his family’s bar for the required year…and Mara is meeting her best friend, Claire, who is on a cruise ship docked in Ketchikan for a few days (I have a really strong feeling that we will see more of Claire, soon) …..
There’s an immediate connection between Zane and Mara, and they spend the night together, agreeing to not let things get “awkward”…..but the next morning, when Mara abides by their “rule”, Zane doesn’t…Mara tries to walk away, and Zane doesn’t want to let her go……Mara has secrets that have kept her from trusting for a long time….but she’s willing to give a “practice relationship” a try…Zane has his work cut out for him if he wants to change Mara’s mind…..and have a real relationship…
Loved the reappearance of characters from earlier books. The new, ones are great. Love all these books!!
I am loving the Badd Brothers! This time it’s Kane’s turn, he bumped into Mara at Sebastian and Dru’s wedding!
Both have baggage, both want more but think they don’t deserve it. They decide to spend the week getting to know each other besides the bedroom antics, and Damn! They are hot!! Lord, Kane had me so Damn hot!! Their connection is hot, so beautiful, what will happen when the week comes to an end? Will Mara go back to San Francisco or will Kane ask her to stay? You have to read it to find out!
who ever heard of 8 brothers all almost alike in the women they took, the things they did & the great loyalty to each other. AS an only child his book made me even want at l;east one brother even more than I did before. I missed out on this kind of family
Love it! Great characters and steamy too!
I hated the pregnancy part, because there goes the romance in their future. But otherwise the book was so outstanding and so well written that it still earns five stars. Jasinda Wilder has made the short (very short) list of my favorite erotic romance authors. She can write a sex scene that makes the words sizzle on the page. Hot! And I love the Badd Brothers and can’t wait to read the next one. This is the second in the series, but the third I’ve read. This one stars a sexy Navy SEAL. What could be more swoon-worthy than that? There’s a lot of funny or touching banter between the brothers and I just can’t help falling in love with the characters. Eight hot brothers, each one entirely different. What a smorgasbord!
One of those books that you don’t realize has a message, a lesson learned!!!!
Unrealistic depraved sex scenes make t his novel a failure. Wilder has denigrated her work by pandering to extreme eroticism.
Characters are very well developed. You just want to meet them for real. This is a series and i am reading them one after the other, like chain-smoking. The characters connection to eachother is intense and entertaining.
I’ve read the Badd Brothers series and loved them all. But, you have to begin at the beginning to get the full effect. I love that Dru is smart, beautiful, and deadly. When Bast turned her out, it hurt my heart. I am eternally grateful things took a wonderful turn and my suffering was ended in glorious fashion. Don’t miss this story!
Great read. Just like the first book, didn’t want to put it down. Baddmotherf ass I guess. Baby Badd. These two were made for each other. He finally got his head out of his ass and got the girl. Or went after her. Took the girl to come to him.
Good ligjt read.
This book was so sweet! I loved watching Mara and Zane fall in love. He was a former Navy SEAL and she was a medic in the army so they connected pretty easily. They were both commitment shy and yet, they couldn’t fight their feelings for each other. The best part of the book, even better than the steamy sensuous scenes was watching them fall in love, doing really mundane things like walking in a park. I felt so bad when Zane was struggling with his feelings for Mara bc he felt unworthy of her love. My only ding is the epilogue should have focused more on this couple rather than set up the next book; I wanted the book to end on talking about them, not the characters who will be featured in the next story (which I definitely plan to get!). I also wish we could have seen a little more of Dru and Bast from book #1
The Badd Brother series is fantastic
Definitly not worth purchasing. The main characters act like teenagers. She is not a likable character, and Zane runs around naked trying to hit his brother with his erect penis in the opening chapter. I couldn’t finish this book it just kept getting worse.
