The white dress. The diamond ring. The full church. The . . . missing groom.Molly Miller had become a cliché when Jackson Davis left her at the altar, but she’d crawled back from the heartbreak and embarrassment and was living her dream of running a successful eatery in San Francisco.Well, good riddance. She didn’t need Jackson, or any other man in her life. She had Molly’s, her restaurant, she had … Molly’s, her restaurant, she had her customers, and she finally had found some happy.
Who cared that she had unanswered questions as to why Jackson had left? It didn’t matter. He’d gone and that was that. Moving on, grinding out one day in front of another, baking her way through her emotions and generally moving on with her life.
Until . . . one early morning Jackson walked through the front door of her restaurant.
And her whole world imploded.

The strength of the main characters in themselves was amazing to see there was also such strong amazing chemistry. This was definitely a pleasure to read the characters leap off the page and burrow deep in your heart
Molly has decided to finally sever the last tie between her and her ex fiancé, the fiancé who left her at the altar. That was years ago, but since then, Molly has become a much stronger, self-reliant woman who does not need a man to be successful. Then Jackson walks back into her life and refuses to leave. You see, he actually had a valid reason for leaving her back then, and he wants to explain. Will she let him back into her life? Will he be able to protect her when his past comes calling?
I gotta say, I felt for Molly. She was so angry at Jackson, with good reason, and he was so stubborn about being back in her life. I’m honestly not sure I would have been able to forgive him if he had done it to me, regardless of his reason. But even though I am not sure if he deserved a second chance, I liked their story and that Molly grew so much in the time that Jackson was gone. I may not have been all that fond of Jackson, but I liked Molly and I liked the story.
Bad Wedding was a fast paced, suspenseful, second chance love story, that kept me turning the pages late into the night. I thought the characters were likeable, and they had scorching hot chemistry. This is the first instalment I’ve read in this series, and I can say that it can be read as a complete standalone. However I’m enjoying this authors stories so much that I will likely go back and read the rest of the instalments.
Bad Wedding is the 9th book in the Billionaire Club series by Elise Faber. This is Molly and Jackson’s story. Theirs is a 2nd chance romance /Russian Mafia / Romantic Suspense romance story.
I really enjoyed reading about the love story that Molly and Jackson shared until he left her quite literally at the alter on the day of their wedding 4 years before. Molly was so heartbroken and never understood why Jackson did that. She thought she had moved on and was doing ok, was thriving with her bakery until her ex fiancé showed back up. The chemistry between Jackson and Molly is electrifying. Oh there’s a good reason why Jackson did what he did. And there’s a reason why he’s back now. Will Molly be able to forgive and take Jackson back? Will the bad guys get what they’ve been trying to get? The twists and turns are intense , filled with intrigue and suspense and yes, it does get emotional. Really good read!!
My Rating: 4.5 stars ********
I really enjoyed Molly and Jackson’s story. Even though they had a rocky past, I loved that Jackson tries like hell to get back into her good graces. It’s a very well-written story and characters you want to know more about. This is a definite page Turner that I didn’t want to end.
I really enjoyed this book, it was a quick and easy read!
I love this series and I also totally love every book that Elise Faber has written. This one is a second chance love story about Molly and Jackson. He left her hours before their wedding. Now he’s back . He needs to explain why…but this explanation means danger.
The story is tough and well written. There is a lot of chemistry between the characters, and other persons around give the story a very suspenseful drive. I love the way Elise Faber characterizes her protagonists, with open hearts and belonging and longing. And her characters talk to each other, about what happened and why, so they can understand, forgive and grow with these knowings. And sometimes they fell in love again ( or never stopped loving). One scene was a bit strange for me. They met after four years of hate and heartbreaking grief and Molly wants to have sex with him ? Okay maybe he is that hot…..
I like about Elise’s writing style that she often forms sentences from a word with a period mark behind it. So the cinema in my head knows clearly what movie to play.
Damn.well.written.
It’s no secret that I’m an Elise Faber fan so I’m not going to rehash that particular point. You should read her work. The end.
Now, about this book … I didn’t love everything. I wasn’t a huge fan at how the story started and how quickly it snowballed in the beginning. I understand the why of it all but it just felt like wham bam the past is the past and left’s move forward and sex and end scene. It’s not a big deal, but I really think if the beginning of this story was as fleshed out as the rest of the story, it would have catapulted this book to a 5 star read for me. I’m not really used to this type of thing from this author and not sure why she made the choices she did but *shrug* it is what it is. Second thing that grated on me was the over use of terms of endearment. I have nothing against them, but 18 times is a lot LOL Okay, I’m done!
I really enjoyed how fast-paced and suspenseful this story turned out to be. That’s what kept me turning the pages. I also very much enjoyed Molly! Excellent character development! The chemistry between Jackson and Molly was also very much on point. Overall, I’d say that once again Elise Faber has written an excellent second chance contemporary romance and you should all invest time in reading it!
Once again Elise has written another fantastic book in the Billionaires Club series!
After leaving Molly at the alter four years ago, Jackson shows back up. He had a good reason for doing what he did but Molly didn’t want anything to do with him.
This was an enjoyable read filled with emotions, drama, danger, suspense, action, heat and romance! It grabbed me from the first and I couldn’t put it down! I love second chance romance and this one was fantastic! If you like a great second chance romance then Bad Wedding is for you!
This was a great contemporary romance filled with drama, suspense, and hot steamy scenes. The chemistry between Jackson and Molly was hot. I loved Molly! She was strong, sassy and fierce. Overall this was a fun, well written second-chance romance.
This was the first book that I have read by this author and it won’t be my last. In fact I plan to go back and read the other books in this series. I can’t wait to read the the next book and the spinoff series too.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.
A contemporary romance that you do not want to miss out on. Jackson disappeared from Molly’s life on their wedding day and years later returns with a bang. Will she hear him out or show him the door yet again? From page one there is plenty of steam, suspense, and action to keep you guessing and turning the pages. This is a great series and I recommend this book be a must on your reading list.
If you were stood up at the altar, would you be willing to give that person a second chance? BAD WEDDING is a second chance romance and Jackson is the groom who, four years earlier, decided not to marry Molly on the day of their wedding.
Molly is still angry at Jackson and she will never forgive him for breaking her heart and leaving it in pieces. Since then, Molly has worked hard to make her business successful and along the way, she has become independent, confident and a stronger person. She has grown into the woman she was meant to be.
When Jackson sees Molly again, all the feelings he has hidden inside for her return and he is impressed with the woman she has become. He had his reasons for what he did and as the story unfolds, I admired Jackson’s determination.
Jackson and Molly are great together, they just need to wade through all of their past issues before they can work everything out. I liked Jackson and Molly, they deserve to be happy. This is an engaging story and I enjoyed the dynamics between the characters.
This is Jackson and Molly’s story. Four years ago, they were engaged and on the threshold of marrying. That is until Jackson never showed up for their wedding day. After years, Molly has turned her Bakery in to a huge success. Molly is ready to cut the final tie between her and Jackson. She is ready to buy him out of her Bakery. Jackson isn’t ready to let Molly go. Even though he has left he has still always kept tabs on her out of safety and love. Molly doesn’t really forgive and forget Jackson for what he did four years ago. As soon as Jackson saw those papers and Molly’s demands, he refused. Now he is back to convince her to give him another chance.
This story was not just a typical second chance romance. There were reasons Jackson didn’t show up for his wedding day. I don’t agree with how he handled things, but I get it. As you get to know Molly you are rooting for them. You want them to be able to move past the threat and find their HEA. I really liked Molly. She is strong and sassy. She is being her best self-making a success of things since experiencing the biggest heartbreak of her life. Like many of us she wonders if thing would be different if she and Jackson had made other choices. The biggest thing is she has become more self-reliant. She does not need Jackson to provide for her or take care of her.
This Book was a great Contemporary romance read for all the rom-com lovers out there. This is a quick and easy read; it can be read as a standalone or as a part of the series. Be prepared for a strong and sassy Female Lead who doesn’t know how to give up! This story is told in dual perspectives. We come to expect from Faber this is a fantastic example of contemporary Romance!!
I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This looks like the end of this Bad series and I am super sad to see it go. This story is very much a stand alone book and the other characters in this series are very loosely in it. More of a mention as they eat at Molly’s bakery, rather than actually in this story.
Molly had a VERY BAD wedding and honestly what happens to her, I was not sure Jackson could ever come back from. But well he does have a great reason and that reason brings him back into Molly’s life and trouble follows. As the two deal with it they also deal with who they have become and see if they can have a future with who they are 4 years after the Bad Wedding.
I liked Molly and Jackson alot but I missed having the gang be a part of this storyline. I really have loved this series and all the characters so I really missed that in this book. But Molly is really not a close friend and more of an acquaintance so I also understood why they were not more prominent.
This was a wonderful series and I highly recommend it. If you haven’t read it yet, be sure and start at the first book because all the books are very connected to each other and each book follows a new couple.
Overall, I liked Molly and Jackson’s story. I’m a sucker for romantic suspense so this one sucked me in. There is undeniable chemistry between the two, so it’s easy to understand how hard being separated for so long was on each of them. Another plus for me is that I wasn’t confused or overwhelmed by supporting characters. I haven’t read any other books in this series so I’m not sure if any supporting characters are mentioned elsewhere. My one issue with the book was with how quickly Molly and Jackson “made up.” And I mean “made up” in the physical sense. After all the drama surrounding their split and the heartbreak, anger, and resentment, it took mere hours for things to get steamy. I guess I just expected a little more angst to go with the suspense in the plot.
I really enjoyed this book. I read it in one seating and really have only one thing that I had problem with and that was the use of word HONEY…I don’t know why but everytime someone used it it just felt wrong.
Now back to the good stuff; I liked the chemistry between Molly and Jackson. They shared a bond that was hard to shake. Despite all the hurt they both had fears that made them a bit broken but together they helped each other to become perfect.
I can’t wait to read the next installment in the series as well as the beginning of a new one. That Dan has me intrigued.

This is the 9th book in this amazing series and is Molly and Jackson’s story. When Molly is left broken hearted at the alter by Jackson, she throws herself into her restaurant business. Now 4-years later Jackson is back in town and is determined to get her back and wants to redeem himself. Will Molly forgive Jackson for his actions? This is a well written story which is emotional, heart-breaking, and with a tad drama which all leads to a wonderful 2nd chance love story. I was hooked and intrigued throughout and I highly recommend for all readers.
This is a surprisingly quick and easy read, with two characters that aren’t afraid to look at their own insecurities. As a reader, I was as furious as Molly about Jackson having left her – literally – at the altar, and I thought her processing of that experience and ability to listen to Jackson’s reasons were written with compassion and reality. Molly herself says she went to therapy – this isn’t a cheesy, oh that’s ok I still love you kind of story; it’s gut-wrenching at times, for both characters, and that’s only the romantic/relationship aspect of the story! There’s also a traitor, an angry Russian mafia, and potential for some great stories in future. I really enjoyed this book, and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
“What a wonderful and amazing story! I’m absolutely in love with Molly and Jackson’s story. I cried, got mad, laughed and fell in love along with them. After that disastrous day Molly was left broken hearted and without a valid reason of why Jackson didn’t appeared at their wedding? Come on! Really Jackson?! I wanted to punch him so hard for played like a je*k but at the end I fell for him. It was inevitable! The Jackson of then and now… let’s just say that Molly isn’t willing to forgive him so easily. Hearts will be broken and secrets will be reveal. Utterly amazing and I’m definitely looking forward to the next book!”
What would you do if you got a second chance? Could you let go of the hurt, the anger, the resentment? These are all things Molly has to ask herself now that Jackson has waltzed back into her life. I like the fact that over the years, Molly grew a backbone and learned her worth and to stand on her own two feet. Jackson has a lot of explaining to do, but will it be too little too late, or will he show her enough to garner a second chance? They have a long row to hoe, but on their way, there’s action, suspense, betrayal, and enough heartfelt moments to make this an engaging read.
