Loved Reavo’s book! We have met him through the other guys books and totally fell in love with him. I knew his book would be epic! And I was totally right.
Katerina is the sister of Reavo’s new team mate, a team mate that has turned their team into a contender. But no one wants Reavo and Katerina to be together. Doesn’t change anything though. They will have to figure out a way because they have a lot against them. This book is action packed and I couldn’t put it down once I started it. It’s an amazing book and I hope we get more from these Dallas Devils!

Derek’s teammate — roommate’s sister comes to visit and she pushes all his buttons. He knows he should stay away from her because you don’t mess around with a teammate’s sister. He knows he can do this because team comes first. I really enjoyed this book.
Reavo, the gentle giant, gets blindsided by a woman. The twist is, she is his Russian team mates sister, and you don’t ruin locker room camaraderie by crossing that line.
Wonderful characters, steamy scenes and action.
This series by far has been really smooth read.. I can’t wait to read the next book. This book was almost like 2 in 1. When the hockey team gets a kid from Russia. Things change. Nico who is from Russia can’t speak any English but no matter he is paired up with Derek. Derek takes him under his wing. Nico calls his sister in Russia to help translate for him. His sister Katerina decides to visit her brother in the States. While her she falls for Derek. Nico is not happy about it & takes drinking to a while new level. Coming to practice drunk, his drinking gets worse before it gets better. Nico can’t handle his sister being with Derek. So Nico tells Derek to call it quits with his sister or else.. Derek has fallen head over heels for her. Nico finally hits rock bottom & starts fighting Derek. Things really take a turn for the worst when Nico may get traded because of his drinking. Katerina discusses his drinking problem & he agrees to go into rehab. Derek pleads with the GM to not trade him. Derek & Katerina & Nico all go into the GM’S office to plead for his position. Derek confesses his love to Katerina, Nico goes to rehab and the GM keeps him on the team. All is good for the Dallas Devils until next time.
This is the third story of the Dallas Devils series. You don’t have to read the first two stories, Date with a Devil and Comeback, to be able to understand this story, but the characters from the first two are in this story for a bit of background info. It could easily be read as a stand alone, as I did. Now I want to read the first two stories. I like the way June Winters writes. I like the background that the guys are all on a hockey team in Dallas. I like how the team works together and how each character is created like they are people that you would know or see on tv, or playing hockey on tv. I like the emotional range that you go through in this from happiness to ranging lunatic, to dealing with drinking addiction.
Katerina is a translator in Russia. At one time she was a child prodigy on the piano, but when her brother became a hockey prodigy, she gave up her dreams so her parents could afford what was needed for her brother. After their mother died, their father became a full blown alcoholic and before he died, he make Katerina promise to watch over her brother. She did, but what can she do if she is in Russia and her brother is in America playing professional hockey, his dream. She goes to America because she suspects that he has been drinking and could be at risk from losing his job. She finds out that he is staying with another member of the team, Derek, a senior teammate. What she sees is that her brother is constantly drunk and is escalating. What she also sees is that she is very attracted to Derek. She has to get her brother straightened out, or her giving up her dream of the piano will be wasted when her brother is banned from American Hockey.
Derek is a senior play for the Dallas Devils, so it falls to him to babysit the newest player, a first draft player, who is great. The kid is only 18, but boy can he play. When his sister shows up, I am floored by how hot she is. I gave up my player days a couple years ago. I got tired of it, but that rep hands around. I know that it is bad for the team to hit on a teammates sister, but DANG IT! I even cover for the kid when he shows up for the games totally drunk. But I have a hard time staying away from her. Plus, the dang kid only speaks Russian and there isn’t anyone around to translate until she shows up. One one hands, I know that I should stay away from her so I don’t mess with the team. If he leaves the team, we will flop and it will be my fault. If I don’t stay away, it could be my only chance at something special. Heck, she even played my piano for me when she hasn’t played in many years. What is a guy to do, take one for the team or reach for my one true love.

I loved this hockey romance story. The story had all the feels, was sexy as heck, and had fantastic characters.
Katerina is a Russian translator working in Moscow when she gets a call from her drunken brother Sasha (Nico) who plays in the NHL. She decides to go to America because she is concerned with his drinking. She meets his roommate Derek and they are instantly attracted to each other. However the bro code is strong in hockey and you do not fool around with your team mate’s sister. As conflicted as Derek is about pursuing anything with Katerina, he gives in to the attraction. The you know what hits the fan when Nico finds out. Nico forces Derek to dump his sister and she is heartbroken. Derek is sick with the lies he told her and comes clean. They get back together and then have to deal with Nico’s alcohol addiction. Derek and Katerina go on to have their HEA. Highly recommend.

June Winters’ (Dallas Devils #3) is oh so good. Veteran NHL player, Derek Reaves, offers to live with rookie Russian phenomena Aleksander (Niko) Nikolaev. The problem is he doesn’t know a word of English. Niko’s sister Katerina Nikolaeva visits from Moscow. Thankfully, she is a Russia translator. Unfortunately, Derek is attracted to her, and she is off limits. This contemporary sports romance is Bad Teammate suitable for adult readers.
I really enjoyed Bad Teammate. Katerina is a likable heroine. She made a lot of sacrifices for her brother. She is talented and has a good heart. Derek is a great guy. He is older and has not played much of the last two seasons due to injuries. Katerina coming into his life makes him realize there’s more to life than hockey. Niko’s character adds some interesting conflict to the story.
Bad Teammate is an excellent addition to the Dallas Devils series. It is skillfully written. It has exciting hockey scenes. It has romance and drama. I recommend this story to people who enjoy sports romances. It can be read as a stand alone, but I do recommend reading the entire series. The characters from the previous books are in this story as well. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Derek opens his home to Niko but has problems communicating with him because Niko doesn’t speak English. Niko is spiraling out of control with his drinking and partying. Derek is fed up covering for him when he shows up to a game drunk. Katerina, Niko’s sister, is concerned when Niko calls her while he is partying and drinking. Katerina decides to make a trip to America to check up on Niko. Derek and Katerina are attracted to each other, but Derek knows if he makes a move on Katerina that it will cause problems with Niko. Derek and Katerina give in to their attraction and chemistry. When Niko gives Derek an ultimatum, will Derek follow through and break Katerina’s heart? Will Derek risk his hockey career for Katerina? To brave the forbidden
Very good romance of an impossible union to preserve a hockey team because of the ego of a player. The story is very well written, although the scenario is simple, it remains exciting once started. The story is both very tender and passionate between the two heroes.
Katarina is a Russian translator who had to give up her passion for piano so that her youngest brother could become a top athlete in hockey. When he joins the NHL and becomes the best player of his team, he starts drinking and Katarina comes to the United States to see him. Her brother, Sasha, lives with an older roommate, Derek. The attraction between Derek and Katarina is immediate, but the temperament of Sasha is such that he tries to prevent even the idea of this relationship between them and they know that if Sasha learned that they like each other, he would leave for Russia and leave the team, stopping Derek’s career at the same time.

Katerina lives in Russia and is a translator. Her brother Sasha (or Nick as his American teammates call him) is an up-and-coming hockey player in the USA. As children they were both child prodigies – Katerina as a piano player and Sasha as a hockey player. But their parents could not afford for them to both to pursue their dreams so Katerina had to drop her dream. She visits Sasha in the US and meeets his teammate and mentor Derek. Sparks fly when they meet and they find it very hard to keep their hands off each other. But Derek has been warned by Sasha to keep his hands off his sister. But will that happen? Great story.

I have loved all the Dallas Devil books and this one is no exception
As one of the older guys on the team it is up to Derek to look after their newest recruit Niko He has recently arrived from Russia and is their chance to finally win the series but there is only one problem Niko doesn’t speak English and there sin’t a interpreter. Niko has gone a little wild he isn’t used to the freedom that he ahs found in the US and he is drinking and going wild with the puck bunnies When his sister phones from Russia and realises what is happening she is straight on a plane to sort him out she hasn’t given up most of her life for his career for him to ruin it. The only problem lack of communication means that Derek doesn’t know that she is on the way and Niko lives with him. The attraction between them is instant but will she return to Russia and if she stays how will Niko feel about a relationship between his sister and his mentor. Do they have a future you will have to read to see
