I couldn’t finish this book and for me to not finish any book is weird. It just didn’t seem to make sense. The girl is a virgin but apparently really wild and reckless….. okay, the guy is a professor who picks up randoms at a club by school where students would hang out and then was surprised when he finds out he slept with a student…. okay. Their sexual relationship was demeaning to say the least and I just couldn’t read about it anymore. This one wasn’t for me
Terrible writing, unrealistic, unlikable characters. One of the worst books I’ve ever read.
This is wrong on so many levels. Didn’t finish the book.
Yeah, I didn’t care for it too much. He’s a jerk and she’s just meh.
I did not care for this book! It had a lot of nasty language in it and a lot of gross remarks about sex and what was preformed between a man and a woman. I did not like it, but that does not mean that other will not.
Honestly I didn’t like this book at all. The main characters were annoying, especially the girl. The “teacher” was more like a loser Christian Grey wannabe teenage boy. It was way too much cursing and the conversations were cringe worthy. This was the first book i read from this author and this will be the last one too.
Interesting story and great characters! Good read!!
Couldn’t get past the first few pages. I deleted it quickly thereafter.

Hailey Walters is beginning her second semester of college. For her, college is an escape. She loves her mom, but living with her mom’s boyfriend had become unbearable. She isn’t too far from home, but living in the dorm gives her the space she needs. Her roommate Lesley has become her best friend. Hailey and Lesley have enjoyed parties on campus, but Hailey has found college guys to be too immature and uninteresting. She is ready to lose her innocence, just to put it behind her, so she uses her fake ID to go to a club with the hopes of simple hookup. She finds it with a man that is also looking for something simple. Anonymous. And Hailey enjoys a passionate night with just a little kink.
Thomas Hard, roughly twenty-five to thirty, enjoys his job. He was lucky to get; it was a second chance. He also enjoys anonymous hookups. He can’t get attached, but a night of kink with a beautiful woman gives him something to look forward to. The only relationship he wants is with his cat. So when he enters his lecture hall on the first day of his marketing class and locks eyes with the woman who had been in his bed the night before, all sorts of ideas go through his head. He wasn’t ever supposed to see her again, but now he would be forced to see her repeatedly. As attracted to her as he is, he knows he is in trouble. His job is at risk if he makes a mistake.
Thomas and Hailey begin an undefined relationship in spite of the risk they both face if caught. They constantly struggle with the knowledge that what they are doing is inappropriate and claim they are trying to escape notice, but they constantly take huge risks and invite detection. They each have a troubled past that holds them hostage in a sense, and both must come to terms with their mistakes. They do eventually get a happy for now ending.
Thomas and Hailey’s story is a bit frustrating. Thomas tries to push her away, but Hailey is tenacious in her pursuit of him. Despite everything at risk, the couple is blatantly careless. When they attempt to get space, they both descend into reckless behavior. But Thomas, despite himself, cannot get over Hailey’s spirit. She makes him feel alive and he enjoys her defiance. She is drawn to his maturity initially. And despite his refusal to define what they have, she finds from him a real connection, something she never found before and desperately craves.
It is nice to see Thomas and Hailey finally get a fresh start. The plot is very simple. The characters are rather immature and feel flat. Some of the dialogue doesn’t feel natural. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Hailey and Thomas. I rate this book 3.5 stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rating: 3.5/5, List as 3.
HEA(?): Yes
Heat: 3.5-4/5
Drama: 3/5
Suspense: 2/5
Romance: 3.5-4/5
I do wish that Thomas was a little more ‘haunted’, then him just having night terrors. Kinda wanted a little more in terms of emotional depth in the book. But all in all this was a pretty good book.
3.5
Thomas Hard meets Hailey in a nightclub and has a one night stand, not knowing that she is his student.
Thomas was dominant, controlling, and wanted to keep their sexual relationship quiet so they wouldn’t get caught.
Hailey was really immature and did everything she could to provoke him. She annoyed me most of the book.
The story needed more depth and more character growth. I never really connected with either one of the characters.
There are some hot sex scenes.
I recommend this to anyone that wants a student/teacher read with lots of steamy scenes.
Actually couldn’t finish it. Great if you only want to read about raunchy sex which I have no problem with but some sort of story is needed.
I read it to see how the writer would pull out of the mostly negatives and find a happy ending. It wasn’t one I’d recommend, but it was more or less happy.
I totally enjoyed the book.
This was just bad. The writing was definitely not for me. Pretty shallow book. No substance or depth and really unlikable characters.
Even the sex was bad and some of it even disgusting.
I’m actually sad because her ‘Debt’ duet sounds good, but if the writing style is the same…
Though some of this was steaming, I struggled with the development of the characters. I didn’t feel like I really knew them.
This is a steamy erotic read that is similar to 50 Shades of Grey, without the great story.
I wish l knew that you had to purchase the next book in order to continue with the characters. I enjoyed reading this book.
