Started off confusing… but all made sense.
there were several deaths – realistic but whole book was grittier than i prefer. Seemed to be well written – although I skipped to the end.
Confused about the ending and the crime
I am not sure what I think now but the read was an emotional roller coaster and the Chunnel part was extremely interesting.
Interesting story and characters. Metaphor usage a bit stretched — took me out of the story to consider a curious turn of phrase. That toned down by 25%, and if there had not been one minor letdown on a reveal near the climax, would have got it a five.
I really enjoyed the humor & depth of character portrayed in the lead characters. this pair is enjoyable, and I’d like to read about more of their adventures.
I was really surprised at the ending. It was a riveting read.
Lots of action. Good characters.
This was well-written and flowed nicely with a few twists although mostly fairly predictable. That’s ok, it was an enjoyable read.
Kept me reading it in one sitting. Very intricate plot.
A well-written book with a story line to keep you reading.
Worth reading
You don’t know what the title means until the end – realistic, human, very believable – intriguing plot with lots of twists. I kept thinking one thing and while I might have been on the right track, the story unfolded in a much bigger and unexpected way. And then I realized that I had been drawn in so that I was thinking just like the narrator…
Still don’t really know what the bad guys were doing it for.
This book written using English – English so at times you must re-read pages to follow story. I enjoy reading reading this book. i like a good story and this is one.
The first-person point-of-view keeps the narrative fresh and moving along.
Great time filler, easy reading
Great characters, well drawn
Great read
Enjoyed it thoroughly. I already purchase the next one in the series.
