I was kidnapped on my honeymoon by three masked men.Blindfolded.Bound.Destination unknown.I was told to stay silent and abide by their rules. But they didn’t realize I wasn’t a victim…not anymore. The open sea was my backdrop for nine torturous days. During that time, glimmers of my fate were revealed by a man with the mysterious chartreuse-colored eyes. He should have scared me, but he didn’t.He … should have scared me, but he didn’t.
He intrigued me. And I intrigued him.
He punished me when I didn’t listen, which was every single day. But beneath his cruelty, I sensed he was guarding a grave secret.
I was sold.
And in a game of poker, no less.
My buyer? A Russian mobster who likes to collect pretty things. Now that I know the truth, I only have one choice.
Sink or swim.
And when one fateful night presents me the opportunity, I take it. I just never anticipated my actions would leave me shipwrecked with my kidnapper.
He needs me alive. I want him dead.
But as days turn into weeks, one thing becomes clear—I should hate him…but I don’t.
My name is Willow.
His name is Saint.
Ironic, isn’t it? He bears a name that denotes nothing but holiness yet delivers nothing but hell. However, if this is hell on earth…God, save my soul.

What, the hell!? Oh, my gosh. This book just blew my freaking mind. It was absolutely not what I was expecting at all and I absolutely loved it.
This was my first read from Monica James, and let me tell you, it absolutely will not be my last.
This book is just insane, in such a good way. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Wanting to know what happens next, yet also scared to find out.
There are so many twists and turns in this book. It hooks you right in from the beginning, which I absolutely love, the action starts right off the bat and doesn’t stop through the whole book.
I could not put this book down to save my life!
Holy crap, Willow is such a strong character. Her strength really shines through in this book. All of the thing’s she endures, and somehow still stays strong through it all, is amazing.
I truly didn’t think I could like Saint. He had me wanting to throw my kindle at times, and that thing is precious to me, but by the end of the book she had me loving him. He is such a deeply flawed man, but you just cant help but to love him. I get Willow in that aspect.
The thing’s that happen in this book are terrifyingly real, and through it all Willow doesn’t give up. She has her weak moments, as anyone would in that situation, but she never stops fighting.
“He’s leading a lamb to the slaughter, but the one thing he doesn’t realize…is that I’m not a lamb. And I never will be.”
I absolutely devoured this book and after that freaking ending I cant wait to be able to dive into book two! I am so beyond ready.
Absolutely do yourself a favor and pick this one up!
So many things I mentally prepared for when I started reading Bad Saint I mean after all it came with a warning, and it definitely delivered. One thing I forgot to prepare for was the obvious part, the word trilogy. I gasped out loud and wanted to scream because I had just got done thinking o my I want so much more I don’t want this to end then BAM another twisted turn that had me wanting to smack something followed by at least this isn’t the ending. Well remember how I said I forgot to prepare for the word trilogy… yeah at “the end” it said part two coming July 2019 I feel like a kid counting down the days for summer break to begin but wanting to fast forward through half of it just so I can dive back in with Saint and Willow sooner. This book was well written with a story that you sunk into. I would recommend it to others but with the reminder that trilogy means three parts and this is only the beginning.
WOW!!! What a great book!
Bad Saint is book 1 in the All The Pretty Things Trilogy. It’s different from the books this author wrote before. But absolutely fantastic. The writing style is phenomenal, she keeps you hooked from the first to the last page. I can’t wait to get my hands on book 2!!! Can’t come fast enough.
Willow is on her Honeymoon with her husband, when she gets kidnapped!
One of her captors tries to form her into a perfect slave for the russian mobster she is spoken for. But Saint doesn’t know that Willow doesn’t want to be a victim anymore…. She fights back!
Absolutely worth reading it!! Totally in LOVE with this!!
I kindly received an ARC for an honest review.
Wow!!!!! This was not what I was expecting. It’s 100% better. It took me longer then expected to read it because work life kept getting in the way. Once I was fully committed I devoured it. A perfect 6 star story.
Willow finds herself being kidnapped on her wedding day by 3 men. What those men don’t know is that she’s not giving up and will fight back. Saint as been hired to bring her to Boss. Willow will soon realize that Saint is not the bad man she thought he was. He has a choice to make to do the right thing or save the person he vowed to protect.
This is a thrilling roller coaster ride of emotions. It’s a dark, suspenseful with a beginning of a romance. It’s a trilogy, so more is to come. This is an original story that held me captive the entire time I was reading. The plot twists are excellent.
Perfectly written with an amazing storyline that flowed well. It becomes an adventure of some sort that had me hooked. I love Harriet Pot Pie. That was a great addition because it can’t all be dark.
What I look for in a great story are the characters, I need to connect with them. I did. Willow is a strong willed young woman that will not break. She’s creative and resourceful. Saint is not who I thought he was, he’s so much more. He’s a good man underneath all that. Bottomline, this is a 2019 must read. I can’t wait for more
This is book one in a trilogy. It is mostly told in Willow’s POV with some from Saint at the beginning of each chapter. I can’t wait for more. I strongly recommend this book.
Bad Saint

Release Date May 6
I am a newbie when it comes to Monica James’ writing. Bad Saint (All the Pretty Things book 1) is the first of her books that I have read.
Saint and Willow had a tumultuous relationship. The dynamic between kidnapper and kidnapped had its ups and downs. Willow couldn’t get a proper read on Saint as his mood was all over the place. Willow has proven herself to be strong willed, courageous and determined despite how the odds were against her. Saint, may not have appeared to be just what his name states but in actuality he was more than just that. Dominant with a heart so loyal but is shrouded in darkness. He protected Willow as much as he was capable of allowing himself.
This dark romance ends in a cliffhanger leaving me wanting more. Questioning what is gonna happen next. How will they get out of the predicament they currently are in. Monica has set the bait and has me hook, line and sinker. Looking forward to the next instalment in All the Pretty Things series.
BAD SAINT
Holy-Hot Biscuits Y’all, Just one look at this cover and you know you are in for something off the charts amazing, and boy did it deliver! Willow was such an amazing strong character, everything she had been through in her life had unknowingly made her strong enough to endure what she would go through at the hands of these kidnappers that took her on her honeymoon. However, she’s a vicious dog when she needs to be. That girl though! She is willing to risk herself for anyone or anything she cares about. She’s not going to let anyone break her! Then there was Saint, oh the fallen Saint. But really was he? The author did such a fantastic job writing his character. He was such a complex character and there was so many reasons to why he is the way he is, and I loved that they unfolded throughout the entire book and not all at once. You find yourself hating him and getting hot and bothered, but also furious with him. All.at.the.same.time! Grrr As horrific as he is you just have the feeling all is not quite as bad as it seems, and he has to have a heart, right? I love when he said “ Don’t you understand… this cruelness is the only kindness I can show you.” My poor heart. It would break one minute and then he made me swoon. There is lots of push and pull between these characters and it goes on for the entire book, which is great and keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. It’s hot, so so freakin hot Forewarning this is book one in a trilogy so it does end on a cliffhanger. It’s definitely a dark read. There are some trigger warnings so know that going in. Read this book of dark reads are your jam. I’m going to just be here dying waiting for Falling Saint
*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. However, I loved it so much I will purchase my own copy!
Willow had a tough upbringing, but she’s met and married the man of her dreams. They are just beginning their honeymoon when the unthinkable happens. She is kidnapped. In comes Saint, one of her captors. She shouldn’t be attracted to him, and she shouldn’t feel the way she feels when he punishes her, but sometimes feelings don’t make sense. Saint was your typical guy, until his life got tangled up with that of a Russian mobster. He shouldn’t think about Willow as anymore than a job, but as the two are fighting, they are also falling. Saint is trying to break her, but Willow is done being the victim. When everything comes to a boiling point, can the two get what they want without someone dying?
This is a dark romance with suspense and twists that will leaving you begging for more. This is my first-time reading Monica James; this book, I honestly don’t think I have enough words to describe how crazy good it is. It does leave you hanging at the end, which stinks, but that just makes me that much more excited for the next book to release. Monica took a book that has some pretty terrible things that happen and made it a book that I couldn’t put down. Even though there were some disturbing scenes, she writes them in such a way, that you can’t help but need to keep reading to find out what is going to happen next. This book is dark but also romantic and is jam packed with emotion. Trust me, this is a book that isn’t for the faint of heart, but if you read it you won’t be disappointed! I am so ready for book 2!
Whoa. What a dark and bumpy roller-coaster ride! It started off pretty innocuous and just builds from there until you are sitting at the edge of your seat to see what happens. Willow is put through the wringer and is still standing at the end of this first portion. Saint is an anti hero that you love to hate that you love…and I can’t wait for more of this story!!
This is the first book in the trilogy, the introduction if you like to stormy turbulent seas.
Three men stole her away ruining her hopes, and dreams of a new, better life.
Her future of love and happiness is replaced with fear, uncertainty and hate.
A thousand questions storm her brain as plans formulate in her desperate mind.
She was different than what he expected. Stronger, more resilient and a warrior but in the end he would win. There was no other option.
Wowsers!!! The suspence almost killed me!! ok slight exaggeration but the build up, the agonising wait for answers, and the raw uncontrollable magnetism between characters all had me sat on the edge of seat eager for more!
My heart bled for Willow. Life hasn’t been kind to her and it didnt look like that was about to change in the near future either.
Saint played on my mind alot he is laced with guilt and hope, but hates himself with a fierce passion. What he was and what he is two very different things.
I have a hundred scenarios running through my mind of where this can go for book two and I love that there are endless possibilities and not just one path.
Monica James has done an amazing job with this, I loved every aspect of it. From the silence, to the violence to the chicken who couldnt be eaten because she was named *chuckles*.
I hope the wait for the next book isnt too long I need it … NOW!!
Well this is the first book I have read of Manica and I really enjoyed it. Saint and Willow Are Perfect together. While on her honeymoon, Willow Shaw is kidnapped and thrown on a ship. Taken by three masked men, on the way to be sold in Russia but not everything is as it seems. Saint Hennessy is tasked to kidnap Willow however his reasons are not as black and white as you might think. When catastrophe happens on board and they end up ship wrecked can they both work together and survive what’s to come? This was an enjoyable dark romance but it does end in a cliffhanger as this is the first book the trilogy so be warned.
OMG!!! That was epic! I love this story completely and I’m still reeling after what I’ve read. I NEED Falling Saint immediately, like right this second, because I’m dying to know how all of this will play out! And Saint??? Holly shit, I love him! He’s all I like in my book boyfriends 🙂 Well done, Monica James, really well done.
It was great.
It was brutal.
It was harsh.
It was sweet.
It was engrossing …
and I can’t get enough!!!
LOVE

This is a very AMAZING story. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
New to me author Monica James’ book “Bad Saint” is very well written, fast paced and a thrilling, super sharp, dark, and deliciously sexy read. Saint and Willow’s chemistry is sweltering…their journey full of twists and turns that will keep you intrigued and gripping the edge of your seat!! This story will keep you captivated from beginning to end and delivers on anticipation, climactic suspense, drama, intrigue, pulse-pounding highs and torturous lows. Well done!! The narration for this book was perfect. Yvonne Syn narrated each character perfectly. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
YES!
“She isn’t what I was expecting. She is strong-willed and stubborn. I have no other choice but to break her. It’s for her own good.”
This was a recommendation from voracious_book_addict and Holy Hell it DID NOT disappoint. A dark, twisted tale of kidnapping, violence and Russian mobsters that had me thoroughly engrossed from the first chapter.
What are you willing to do to save the ones you love? Our anti-hero Saint has devolved into a dark, fractured man forced into a life of violence after striking a deal with the devil. Willow is a strong woman making it on her own leaving behind a scarred home life. After kidnapping Willow as payment on his deal, Saint is intent on delivering his end of the bargain.
When chemistry ignites with the one forbidden person, the angst, passion and desire is off the charts. It took all my willpower to not skip ahead. I am not ashamed to admit I even resorted to begging my friend for hints. Surprisingly, the sex is a bit of a slow-burn situation however the story is action-packed and the combination of the two has me one-clicking the second and third book in the series.
If you like dark romance, I highly recommend this boo
Didn’t like it. Too much back and forth.
ANGST FROM BEGINNING TO END…. SO FRK’N GOOD!!!
Omg, I couldn’t stop reading to know what was next!
A Dark Romance Must for all who love the genre!
I’m so glad I don’t have to wait to know what happens next as it’s left on a huge Cliffy…. Eeeek!
‘Blindfolded.
Bound.
Destination unknown.’
This book has you on edge all the way through, this book one of the Trilogy, and it truly gives you an idea of the dark and sinful way these books will be.
Get yourself ready for no sleep, from the first word to the last your; going to wonder and it will play on your mind until you know the ending of this trilogy.
Willow and Saint, consumed me from the beginning to the end with their hate to lust emotional, broody, enigmatic, suspenseful and dark world.
A brilliant start to this new series. Willow Shaw is marrying her gorgeous and very rich Prince Charming, Drew Gibbs; only six weeks after they met. Call her crazy but she is madly in love with him! He is absolutely perfect, and she is looking forward to spend the rest of her life with him. The day she arrives for her honeymoon at a beautiful secluded Greek island, three masked men kidnapped her, put her on board a yacht to sail her back to Russia. She quickly learns that nothing is as it seems, and that the fairytale life she thought she was going to have quickly changes into her biggest nightmare. In the blink of an eye she’s introduced to a different world, filled with very bad and cruel people who do what they want… whenever they want… and there’s no one to stop them.
This story is about betrayal, broken trust and deceit. Her husband sold her off to a Russian mobster to pay off his poker debt and she no longer has a say in her life and future. Her freedom was taken away from her the day she said “I do”.
Saint is a very complex and private individual. He works for Russian mobster Aleksei Popov, as his number one assassin, and was sent to Greece to collect the debt owed to Popov, Willow Shaw and to bring her back to Russia. Willow doesn’t make things easy for him and is constantly pushing his buttons. She’s headstrong, stubborn and very feisty, and she never does as she’s told. It’s his job to break her and turn her into a submissive before she reaches Russia, but things don’t go according to plan and they end up shipwrecked on a small island in the Mediterranean Sea.
That’s as much as I’m going to reveal about this book, you’ll have to read it to find out what happens. What I will say is that this story is dark and twisted and very addictive. I am so glad I boarded this crazy rollercoaster ride and I can’t wait to see where it takes me! I look forward to reading the next book!
I’m The Bad Guy… Duh!

What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Willow gets abducted on her honeymoon. Her captors don’t show their faces. The destination? Unknown. One of these captors intrigues her. They go back and forth: she disobeys and he punishes her. When he tells her how she came to be in his captivity, she’s stunned.
This is my third Monica James read! I’ve been seeing this trilogy everywhere AND I’m getting ready for The Devil’s Crown (Spin Off) which releases this summer. Perfect time to jump right into this!
In my opinion, the author doesn’t write conventional settings and this book continues that trend. It was a fast-paced, energetic and emotional read FULL OF UPS AND DOWNS. I had started this earlier in the year, but I didn’t get past the first stage of the girl’s abduction. This time around, I said I’d give it a fair chance and once I did, I realized what I was missing. Willow is kind of a badass. She fights and she stands her ground in her hopeless situation. Later on, when she meets a chicken, she has a lovely relationship with it. I ship that. A LOT. I rooted for her once I got to know her a little better (meaning when her captivity started and the masks fell).
Saint wasn’t an easy guy to digest. He’s frustrating at the start. But as the story evolves, he seems fair (as fair as an abductor can be). He delivers what he promises and he doesn’t lie that he is a saint. SPOILER: HE IS NO SAINT.
Together these two made for an amazing back and forth. Their banter was top notch. Their chemistry was slow burn. It ended on a cliffhanger, so I had to pick up book two right away!
I recommend this to people who like reading dark romance abduction, strong heroines and mysterious leading men who’ll melt your heart if you give them a chance.
