I enjoyed this romance except a little too much sexual content for my liking. I received this for for free and I voluntarily choose to review this. This is not for the under 18 readers. I thought this gave a lot of insight to the back side of ballet. It takes a lot of dedication to stay in this profession, and a lot of pain to build up the callus needed for this beautiful profession. You mix love, friendships, families and loyalties in this and you have one heck of a story. I’ve given this a 4.5* rating.
I have read a few books by Stefanie London and Bad Reputation, book 2 in the Bad Bachelor’s series, is her best book to date. I was hooked reading Bad Reputation and enjoyed it so much, that I bought & read Bad Bachelor too and I must say I hope there are more books to come in this Bad Bachelor’s series! Bad Reputation is magnificently written with an amazing storyline & plot. The steamy scenes are not overly descriptive so I would still characterize it as a sweet but mildly steamy romance! Personally I think Remi is a bit of a weak female lead in the beginning but her backbone seems to be stronger by the end of the book. However, Wes more than makes up for any weakness in Remi character, from Wes’ steel rod that’s favorably reviewed on N.Y. favorite bachelor rating app, Bad Bachelor to his romantic & sweet book boyfriend worthy side. One-click so you don’t miss this 4.5-Star definitely recommended read Bad Reputation!
Adore!
Wes and Remi are perfectly flawed and perfect for each other because of those flaws. Both have trust issues revolving around their careers that impact how they view all their relationships, until at the worst possible moment love dances into their lives.
Bad Reputation is the second book in Stefanie London’s Bad Bachelors series and it hit all the right notes and steps, just like book one. I love the way London created a love story that became just as much about friendship, love of dance, and trusting yourself as it was about Remi and Wes.
I’m so excited for Annie’s story because right now I’m not really loving her but I know that London is going to end this series with the same beauty and skill as she started it.
Also any fans of the movie Center Stage are sure to love this story as it’s got some similar themes and characters.
The Bad Bachelor app strikes again! With the second book in the series, we meet a guy who’s getting raving reviews about the size of his … package! He’s finding it hard to conduct business and get any respect in the industry when he’s the talk of the town. He meets Remi by happenstance, but the second he sees her dance, he sees the potential of a star and will stop at nothing to get her to agree to do his show. Along the way they start to fall for each other though … and she doesn’t have a great history of mixing business with pleasure!
Wes Evans has spent his life living in the shadow of his Broadway royal parents. He is finally taking a chance on himself and stepping out to produce a production of his very own, and wants to make sure it’s a success. When he sees a dancer performing off the cuff, he realizes she would be perfect for the lead!
Remi Drysdale has been in New York for a few years now, but after the debacle she made of her life back in Australia, she hasn’t trusted herself to shine as a ballerina here. When Wes approaches her about an audition for his show, she’s torn. She wants to shine on stage again … but she’s also attracted to him, and if that dating app scandal has any truth to it, she could have an amazing time with him! … will she decide to take a chance at getting her career back one step at a time?
He’s a bad boy full of good ideas. She’s a good girl that’s had a string of bad luck. In a world where reputation is everything, Wes and Remi are about to make some noise in the most delightful of ways. Bad Reputation is deceiving. London grabs attention with a little naughty in the title, but it’s the heart that resides inside that is the star of the show. Despite the odds, Remi and Wes refused to quit dreaming and chose to reach for the stars. Resistance is futile when it comes to matters of the heart.
A great read! It’s fun, heartwarming and sexy read. I was hooked from the beginning with its engaging storyline. I loved the characters. I enjoyed the connection and banter. The chemistry is sizzling and steamy. It’s an entertaining read that is not to be missed. A great addition to the series and looking forward to reading more.
5 AMAZING STARS!! Amazing Story!! This author weaves the most beautiful and perfect stories together, that you never want to end. Wes and Remi’s story will hit all your emotion buttons and have you dying for more. These two characters are likeable and perfect together. I am so glad I read this book and i know you will be too.
What a great fun read! This Bad Bachelor series is one to keep reading.~Ashley@Carolina Chic’s Read
Wes has broken away for the royal dance family to make his own name in directing a different kind of Broadway show. Remi is a ballerina who left her crashed career in Austrialia to make a new life in New York. Decided to not audition any more but when Wes finds her teaching a class he knows she is the star of his new show. Will the attraction between the two keep the show on track or derail it for good. Love this story of overcoming your past to make your future brighter.
I’m really enjoying the Bad Bachelors Series and this book is as good if not better than the first in the series, this time it’s Wes Evans being targeted by the notorious Bad Bachelor App they have dubbed him “The Anoconda” and it’s really messing up with the backing he is trying to get for his new show. Wes is trying a completely different angle to ballet and free dance but he wants to do it on his own and is determined to raise the money needed from backers and not go to his ballet royalty family for help. Wes thinks he has found the perfect leading lady when he is roped into taking his 3 year old neice to the parent and child dance class and he meets teacher Remi an Aussie trying to start a fresh life in NYC. Will the Bad Reputation App not only ruin Wes’s chance at a hit show will also ruin his chance at love…..
This is a great read and it’s a must read for me it had the perfect mix of humour, passion, romance as well as being close to reality with friends trying to protect each other at all costs. Looking forward to more in this series from the very talented Stefanie London.
Wow! What an intense book to read!! Bad Reputation is the second installment of the Bad Bachelors series by Stefanie London. I loved the first book, Bad Bachelor, and this was just as good! Stefanie gives us a well rounded storyline, very likeable characters, and intriguing dialog. It sucks you right in! As the story unfolds, you are right there watching everything with bated breath! Remi and Wes’ story was interesting since it takes place in the ballet world-something I know nothing about. It intrigued me and Stefanie gave us a good amount of information-for those that know nothing about this-but didn’t give too much to make the story drag.
Wes is putting together an off-Broadway ballet/play that veers from the norm. His family is considered ballet royalty and when he quits the family business to do this, he’s questioned. It ends up going sideways quickly when a dating app called Bad Bachelors starts getting posts about him. They are not all negative, on the contrary, most are glowing! Glowing in one department-sex. He’s made no bones about dating a lot, but when one poster dubs him “The Anaconda”, things take a turn for the worse, and he’s in the public spotlight. It’s a good thing he has his production. He still needs to find a lead ballerina and fast. That is his focus. This stuff will die down…won’t it??
Remi is a ballerina from Australia on a hiatus. Now living in NYC, she’s currently teaching Barre Fit classes. One day she has a mom and daughter class and Wes shows up with his niece. He had no idea it was class he needed to attend, but takes it in stride when the teacher, Remi tells him to stay and take the class. Sparks fly instantly between these two. He asks her out, but she declines. When he returns the next day to talk to her, he sees her unbridled passionate dancing and knows she’s the lead he’s been searching for! But he wants to date her too. He decides the production must be his focus…..
Remi is drawn to him but since she left Australia, she promised to never get her pointe shoes in a bunch again. What could it hurt to go to the audition though?? She’s rewarded with the lead and things take off from there!
I loved how this story unfolded. Both Wes and Remi are written very well and you get a true sense of who they are. There are plot twists and intense drama unfolding left and right! It’s the perfect edge to keep you flipping those pages!! Plus the romance!! Gosh these two are angsty and combustible all at the same time! I fell in love with these two characters!
An overall great read! It’s not necessary to read book one in order to read this one, but I think you would benefit. My only beef is her friend Annie. I think she is a self-centered b*tch to treat her friends as she has. I wonder? When is the cost too much for her???
Anyway, read this book! You will love it!
I enjoyed this book in the Bad Bachelors series. This time we meet Remi, an Australian ballerina now living in New York City, and Wes, son of ballet royalty and first time ballet-playwright. Wes meets Remi when he takes his niece to her ballet class and Remi is her teacher, Wes is instantly attracted to Remi and even more so when he walks into her classroom while she is practicing on her own time. When he sees her dance he realizes she is what he is looking for for the ballet he is putting on. There is an instant attraction between the two but they deny it because he needs her in his ballet and she needs to keep work and a relationship separate because of what happened in her past.
Of course they can’t deny their attraction for long but unfortunately in ballet everyone is out for the selves and someone finds out about their relationship and uses it against Wes.
Remi does find out who is running the bad bachelor app and is not happy to have been kept out of the loop. Because Wes’s dating history is being splashed all over the app (even though it is all VERY positive) Remi was hoping to get her friend’s help in taking some posts down.
I like how the book ended for Remi and Wes. I also like how Remi was able to use the Bad Bachelor app for good and actually help out Wes.
This is the second in Stefanie London’s Bad Bachelor series. Bad Bachelor is a website that allows the women of Manhattan to review their dates like they would a restaurant on Yelp. The books center around three friends, Darcy, Remi and Annie. Book one was Darcy and Reeds story. This book tells Remi and Wes’s story. Remi was on her way to success as a ballerina in her native Australia, when a personal/professional issue decimated her career. She is now in New York City teaching Barre classes, and has given up on her dream. Wes is trying to break away from his family ballet school and mount an off Broadway show. He meets Remi while taking his niece to dance class and realizes Remi is who he needs to star in his show. They agree to keep things professional, but that doesn’t last long. While Wes is reviewed on the Bad Bachelor website, it’s not because he is a bad guy, it’s because of his impressive physical asset. Like in book one, the website threatens the man’s career and his relationship. I loved this book, the characters were well written and the story was engaging.. I was given an ARC of this book for my honest review.
