Being bad never felt so good. I fell for Ally the moment I saw her. Who doesn’t like a confident, intelligent woman with curves I could spend days exploring?Who am I kidding?I have. Many times. Our story ended abruptly when she packed her bags and left like we weren’t meant to be. We are. So I’m calling her bluff. That’s how I ended up thousands of miles from home, standing next to a man who … home, standing next to a man who claims to be her fiancé.
Being good has never felt so bad.
When it comes to a successful man with an incredible body and biteable jaw aka Hutton . . . let’s just say willpower is not my strong suit.

Embracing my newfound good girl status, I do the right thing to start my reign. My desires no longer matter. The monarchy, the people, and my country do. There is no place for love in this new life.
But I never expected to see him again, much less standing next to my royally appointed soon-to-be fiancé. As if that didn’t complicate things, he’s wearing a perfectly tailored tuxedo and my favorite smirk. I straighten my crown and adjust my dress, realizing this good girl never stood a chance. I’ll take the bad reputation if I get him.

OMG! Hutton Everest is… WOW! I love S.L. Scott’s latest! Bad Reputation was fresh and fun.
“You’re the fairy-tale ending I wish I could have.”
Anyone that follows my blog won’t be surprised that I am reviewing a book for S.L. Scott—because I just love her books and her brand of romance. She skillfully weaves stories that are fun to get lost in and sexy, which is a perfect combination for this avid reader. When she told readers that the next book about an Everest brother was coming, I immediately volunteered my blog to review it—without a clue what the story was going to be about—but I have yet to be disappointed in a book that S.L. Scott has written. And to be perfectly clear, that still holds true because I loved Bad Reputation! S.L. Scott delivered a billionaire, bad girl romance with a side of royal intrigue that made things extra interesting and truly made for the perfect way to get lost in a book for the night.
“…then you tell me we can’t be together like I can walk away unscathed. Like I can somehow forget that this fire between us hasn’t burned my soul to ashes already.”
I loved the modern fairy tale vibe this book delivers. It’s the perfect combination of S.L. Scott sexy, sweet, and feel good with that added princess and prince charming bonus! And let’s be real, everyone needs an Everest brother in their life. Everyone. That’s the conclusion I’ve come to after reading S.L. Scott’s latest Bad Reputation. I want an Everest. Last year, I feel hard for Ethan Everest when S.L. Scott released Everest. And I will be honest, I wasn’t sure that I would love Hutton the way I did Ethan when she announced to readers that his books was next. I mean, I had to read it of course, but Everest was… well, Everest! And while I absolutely loved Bad Reputation, my love for Ethan still holds true. Fictional character or not, I can’t help but have a favorite and truthfully, I doubt anyone can top Everest in my book. But for most, I think Hutton is the Prince Charming that you’re waiting for. He’s delicious, devoted, loyal and once he sets his sights on Ally, nothing was going to detour him from his ultimate goal… HEA with his very own Princess. Tell me that isn’t a hero after your own heart?! If you can resist an Everest, you’re far stronger than the majority of us!
“I’m not leaving anything to chance because we may have been fate, but it’s up to us to create our destiny.”
If you are a fan of seXXXy romance—you know, the type where sexxxy is spelled with a triple X and you need new panties or a cold shower before the book is over? You can’t go wrong grabbing anything S.L. Scott writes. As with everything I have read before, I found Bad Reputation to be an excellent read with fantastic supporting characters, a decent dose of angst, a bit of humor and a lot of heart. The dual POV allowed me to get invested in the story and really get to know the characters. Ally was a fun heroine who was split between duty and desire—the secretly spunky bad girl who wants the kingdom and the chance to make her country a better place in the future. Hutton was the perfect counterpoint and taught Ally that it was good to have someone to be bad with. I loved this latest work by S.L. Scott and if you’re in the mood for a second chance romance, you can’t go wrong with Bad Reputation!
Another great read from SL Scott. Not sure how she does it but every book she writes draws you and in and keeps you captivated in the world she writes about.
Scott made me laugh and she made me blush with her brilliant comedy mixed with some seriously hot scenes.
Hutton Everest is rich and sexy, he is quite dream worthy. His head has been turned by bad girl Princess Ally Edwards. The chemistry between these two seriously fogged up my kindle.
This was a fun, light read. There are plenty of twists and turns mixed in with the hotness.
I am looking forward to seeing what SL Scott brings us with the last Everest brother
I fell in love with Hutton. This is not the first thing you think about when you are dealing with an Everest, but he was sweet and patient and he loved Ally. I felt bad for him when he was heartbroken and he thought he could move on, but he couldn’t Ally was the one and then he decided that no he wanted her and he was going to fight for her. Ally annoyed me sometimes with the I am going to be a Queen, that is what I was born to do, and then she would change her mind and jump Hutton, then change it again and then jump Hutton I got whiplashed and I felt sorry for him, he was confused with the changes but his love proved true..Grab a copy and Enjoy! Now we wait for Bennett.
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author. I voluntarily my own thoughts and views.
After reading Everest, I really wanted more from this “world” created by S.L Scott. She delivered with Bad Reputation!
Hutton (one of the Everest brothers) and Ally are an interesting couple from the beginning. There is instant attraction, long distance, ambiguity about relationship status and more all before 1/3 of the way through the book!
I liked Hutton from the get go, but it took me longer to feel like I knew Ally and what was going on with her. Some of that is intentional by Ms Scott and you’ll find out why when you read the book
As I got to know Ally, I liked her just as much as Hutton and found myself rooting for her and them to find their happy.
One of my favorite things about this book is that the true conflict came from outside of Hutton and Ally’s relationship. Dealing with this adversity seemed to be a key to their growth, especially for Ally. I also appreciated that there was a bit of a role reversal, but that it was done in such a way that Hutton remained his Alpha/macho self.
The supporting cast here is small, but all of the players are important. I am hoping to see a 3rd Everest brother book soon, but would love to know what happens with Ally’s siblings as well. If you have read other works by Ms Scott recently, you will recognize a few cameo players that pop in as well.
Overall, this is definitely a book to grab!
Everest Brothers strikes again They are Hot Yummy and always funny. My thing is Royalty just dont go running around without security so not having bodyguards or security at all times kinda off but the story was cute and steamy
Now its Huttons story and the girl who he thought was normal but wasnt in so many way. When he finally knows what shes been hiding will he still want her or let her go.
New York was hes fresh start to start living and stop thinking of her. How do you stop loving someone you want. He set her free will she come back.
Alley Aka Princess Arabelle Allyson Edwards Sutcliffe. When your willing to throw everything away for the one you know you cant have but what if you can have it all
“The Everest brothers used to bring the ladies. I need some of that luck again.”
e’ve been lying to ourselves and each other. We’re more than what we said. We’re what we felt inside but never shared.
“If our relationship is doomed to go up in flames, we might as well be the ones who start the fire.”

Bad Reputation is a second chance story, with a royal twist. While it does follow Everest’s book, it is a standalone and I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything starting with this one.
Hutton is gorgeous, successful, and a total player. Until he spots Cinderella across the bar on Halloween, and she immediately steals his heart. Months of games and weekend trips leave him head over heels, and then broken-hearted when she ultimately leaves.
Ally is sexy, strong-willed, and full of secrets. She continuously keeps Hutton at arm’s length, until she finally admits her feelings – and promptly leaves the country. She has obligations, and love has no place in her reality. Until the day he shows up in her world, and she has to decide what’s more important -her country or her heart.
While I enjoyed this story, I didn’t love it as much as I wanted to. The characters chemistry was off the charts, but the obstacles and drama were just a bit too much. And while there were ample chances to tackle these obstacles head-on, and the lead up to each promised to be rewarding, the resolutions all seemed to fall flat. It took me a while to get into the story, and once I did I think I was just expecting something different, or maybe a bit more. I would recommend this book, and I’m definitely looking forward to reading about the other Everest brothers.
This book was great! About a princess & not a prince! Totally different than the books you usually read. Great writing & I loved the characters. Looking forward to more!
You can’t go wrong with this author and her new story is fabulous! I love it! A terrific “royal” romance that finds princess Ally on an adventure before doing her duty to her country. And her adventure of choice? A bad boy American that epitomizes sex on a stick. These two get hot and steamy before she runs off to do her duty. But he’s not having it and goes to get his woman. Swoon! Terrific writing and wonderful characters have my heart singing and panties melting. Ha! Don’t miss this one. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars
I really had high hopes for this book because I’m a big SL Scott fan. In fact one of the Crow Brothers books is a top 10 read of 2018 for me. I think Bad Reputation missed its mark a bit. It seemed far fetched to me and it was very cheesy. I know fairy tales are something that we like to believe in and get lost in, but this book seemed like a book about real people, trying too hard to be a fairy tale. I did like the characters of Hutton and Ally and I think I would have really loved this book if Ally wasn’t a princess. If you love royal books and fairytales of a princess finding her Prince Charming then you’ll like this book, it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

For one night, Hutton Everest and Ally Edwards were nothing more than a man and a woman who were sexually attracted to one another and gave into that desire; they didn’t worry about their future…they didn’t worry about their responsibilities…they didn’t worry about their reputations – all they cared about was getting lost in the sexual haze that sparked between them as soon as their paths crossed.
But Ally’s life’s path has already been written due to her birthright, which means that the wild and reckless behavior she gave into with Hutton can’t last forever; in fact, it’s simply a series of fleeting moments in her life because as soon as she returns home, she must commit herself to leading by example, to shedding any bad behavior tendencies in order to fulfill her royal responsibilities, living for the good of the crown and the good of her people.
Too bad this American bad boy has never been good at following the rules and the only person whose opinion matters to him is Ally herself, which means that if there’s a chance that they can continue exploring what’s between them, despite the obstacles, despite the protocols, despite what’s ‘proper’ in the eyes of her people, he’s all in and ready to be Ally’s American Prince Charming – one who’s not afraid to fight dirty to reclaim his queen.
Bad Reputation is an angsty, steamy, and twisty modern-day royal fairy tale – one that will make readers question how anything can work between Ally and Hutton due to the amount of obstacles that these two must contend with because one of them is a royal and the other is only a commoner.
Ally’s royal lineage and her soon-to-be position as Queen are both things that Hutton will have to work around and if these two hope to figure out a way to be together, Hutton’s going to need to use every move in his arsenal and every bit of his stubbornness as well as his deep feelings for Ally in order to fight against a nation’s history and its customs, which is easier said than done.
I would so live the life of a bad girl in order to have Hutton Everest because his confidence, his personality, and his drive to have everything he’s ever wanted make him one handsome alpha male, but what makes him even better is the fact that he is more than willing to bend the knee for his queen, which, in my opinion, makes him an ideal partner and confidant.
And regardless of the ways in which Ally’s parents look to thwart any connection between Ally and Hutton, the heart wants what the heart wants and it has nothing to do with status, with pedigree, or with what’s proper; it deals with two hearts and two bodies that call to one another in deep and meaningful ways, proving that rules just might have to be broken.
4.5 Poison Apples
A second-chance romance AND a royal love story?! I must have snuck onto Santa’s nice list by the skin of my teeth–any rumors about my naughtiness are exaggerated…or maybe not…depends on the rumors–because dear Mr. Claus seems to have an elf in the form of bestselling author S.L. Scott and I have reaped the rewards via her latest release, Bad Reputation. This had everything I could have wished for and I’m glad Santa (and S.L. Scott) were listening! This also happens to be standalone (although it’s also a spin-off of sorts since Hutton Everest–quick FYI: the original title for this was supposed to be Hutton!–is the brother of Ethan Everest, whose own book is Everest), so yay for those of you out there who currently don’t have the time to jump into a series or dislike evil cliffhangers.
Hutton and Ally’s story isn’t your typical royal romance slash love story about second chances, and I love when and author is able to add unique enough touches to their tale, allowing it stand apart from a crowded field. Another thing I adored about this book was that it wasn’t anything like Ethan Everest and Singer Davis’s story, which was one I was quite enamored when it was released exactly a year ago today. Hutton and Ally faced a set of extraordinary circumstances, but then what else would you expect from an extraordinary love story like theirs? Bad Reputation easily snags five stars; now I can’t wait to see who among the side characters gets their turn next!
I liked Ally and Hutton, they were perfect for each other. Yet they come from very different places : Ally is royalty, heir to a fictional country, and Hutton is Ethan Everest’s younger brother and a businessman. Their worlds collide after a chance encounter.
Ally is a highly likeable character: smart, funny, sassy, and oh so vulnerable. She is a modern princess, but her life is not really a fairy tale. She is bound by duty and family. I loved her independent streak but also liked how she accepted her duties to her country. Yet she lets herself have some fun taking what she wants regardless of the rules.
Hutton Everest is an endearing hero: understanding, patient, protective and a little possessive. I loved how he constantly displayed his love and devotion to Ally. He wants to give their relationship a chance. Ally isn’t just a blip on his dating radar.
New challenges, and precarious situations will test Ally’s abilities to her future position.
This charming romance is sweet and packs just the right amount of steam. It combines nicely the fantasy aspect of royalty romance and the conflicts that affect a modern royal, related to the heavy burden of responsibilities, obligations, and constant media spotlight. The plot was a bit slow for my liking at times, but overall this was an entertaining and cute read.
This! Oh my gosh, this was a complete and total swoon-fest!! Hutton has to be one of the most amazing, loving, romantic men around. Not to mention a fighter, for what he wants and for who he loves. And Ally/Princess Arabelle is also a fighter. She may have been unsure, or reluctant, in the beginning, but once she figured out how she felt, she was full on fighting for it. She’s brave and strong and courageous. And the two of them together, holy tamale are they hot!! And cutesy, fun and adorable. I truly loved this!!!
Another favorite written by S.L Scott. Seriously can this woman write a bad book. Ok ok let me just gush about how good this book is.
When we first meet Hutton Everest he seems a bit smitten to say the least. The way he describes her. Hmmm hmmm good lol. She plays right along with his game. After all it is Halloween. What better night to dress as your favorite princess right? Only problem, this princess really will turn into a pumpkin at midnight. Sorta. If she gets caught that is.
Ally is everything Hutton has never admitted he wanted. He wants it all … but with her. Only with her. Why would that be a problem you ask? Well doesn’t the storybooks always say … the princess meets her prince? He’s not a prince. At least not one her parents would consider anyway.
Have you figured it out yet lol. This is the story of a princess and her prince who just happens to be the middle brother of Everest- read him yet? No? Opps me either. But that’s next on my tbr pile lol. And for those of us who can’t get enough of those yummy Crow brothers … yep they show up too.
So in case your still wondering …. should I read this book? Is this book worthy of my book money? My answer … did Cinderella lose a shoe ?
This book was so unexpected it wasn’t at all what I thought It would and that’s not a bad thing because I love when an author surprises you.
With Hutton and Ally the readers get a new modern take on a royal romance book which I really enjoyed. There is laughs along the way of this sweet romantic tale and it’s steamy and passionate. Hutton will make you swoon I just love when a male character isn’t afraid to show how much he loves his woman without losing his own identity. The same goes for Ally she loves with a passion that leaps of the page.
If your looking for a fun quirky but passionate love story this book is for you.
i was excited to realize that we were getting more of the everest brothers in bad reputation. and this story, it’s totally a fairy tale. there’s a princess who is trapped in a tower and she needs someone like hunter everest to set her free.
she was never supposed to meet him. never supposed to fall in love. he wasn’t supposed to fall in love with her either.
what’s keeping them apart isn’t a small thing. it’s her birthright. it’s her country. it’s her people.
this story is so dreamy and romantic. i love, love hunter as a hero. he’s just so dreamy. how he fights for his girl is just out of this world swoonworthy. he knows that they are right together. they just need to find a way to make the world right for them.
**bad reputation published on december 7, 2018. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of s.l. scott in exchange for my honest review.
***I received an eBook copy from the author at no cost***
I love this book and the fact that Scott ventured off into the world of royalty.
Hutton is my favorite kind of book boyfriend to read about. He’s arrogant and charming, yet also soft and sweet. He’s good looking, rich, and he knows what he wants. And he gets completely blindsided when Ally up and leaves with no explanation.
Ally has reasons for what she did, but it’s not like she could give them at the time. Hutton still holds her heart, even though it’s technically supposed to belong to someone else. And what a crazy, confusing situation to be in—true love or …
Scott got everything right with this book. The characters are fantastic. There’s crazy chemistry between Hutton and Ally, which had me chomping at the bit to see what would happen with them. I loved that this wasn’t a classic fairytale, but had a bunch of twists added in. The plot is original and there were surprise moments all over the place, which kept me on the edge of my seat. The second-chance romance element was executed perfectly. And as always, the world-building was intense.
Scott’s writing is vivid and captivating. I was sucked into the story right away and felt like I was living it while reading. It was awesome to get introduced to new characters and to get to see a few oldy but goody ones pop in as well!
I love when an author twists angst and sugary sweet romance together, and Scott did just that with this book. It’s the perfect mix of oh crap moments and swoon worthy scenes.
If you’re looking for a fun and sexy novel to devour over the holidays, Bad Reputation is the perfect book for you!
Five stars to this novel!

Bad Reputation is a second chance, modern fairy tale romance. This unique story is full of passion, heat, heart, drama and angst.
Hutton is sexy, charismatic, successful and can have his choice of female companionship, but his heart is set on Ally.
Ally struggles to reconcile her desires and needs with the expectations and pressures from her family, and that she imposes on herself. She’s strong, brave and quite stubborn.
The banter this pair shares is witty, fun and flirtatious. The sexual tension and chemistry between them is palpable and their story is full of twists and turns that will keep you completely engaged and enthralled.
I’ve been intentionally vague with my review, but I adored this pair and their story and cannot wait for the Bennett Everest to find his happy ever after.
This is such a great second chance at love story of Ally and Hutton. We also get to read about previous characters from Ms. Scott’s other books (Everest and The Crow Brothers). I love this couple and the way they connected right from the beginning and how they both try to figure ways to finally be together.
When Ally and Hutton first met at a Halloween party, it was instant attraction. They ended up having a casual relationship but as it continues, both feel more for each other. One the night that they were to meet again (they live in 2 different cities), Hutton feels that he was to tell Ally he wants more from their relationship. They end up spending the night even with the fact that Ally will leave in the morning but not meeting again. They admit their love for each other and Hutton is hopeful for something more.
It was a shock for Hutton to find out who Ally really is and he’s not sure how to feel. Hutton and his brothers are invited to bid on being the exclusive media for Ally’s country, in which she is the princess! Hutton sees this as a sign to find out how Ally truly feels and if they can have a chance of being together. We find out some of the interesting laws in Ally’s country and what is expected of her in order to descend to the throne as Queen. A perspective suitor for Ally’s hand in marriage is a kink, along with all the other expectation in Ally and Hutton’s reunion. But in the end everyone gets what they most wanted and/or deserve!
Bad Reputation is a 5-star Royal Romance of Epic proportions. Royal Romances are so fun as they bring out the fantasy fairy tale we all want to believe in. The Prince Charming saving the damsel in distress before they fall in love and live happily ever after. That’s the royal romance we are all used to, but S. L. Scott has gone and twisted the story into a wonderful tale about strong women who rule and the men who stand beside them.
Bad Reputation was a swoon-worthy journey with a very easy-on-the-eyes Hutton Everest and Princess Arabelle, otherwise known as Ally Edwards. Hutton meets Ally and their lives are unknowingly changed forever. If soul mates are a thing, Hutton and Ally have it in spades. Their love was electric and not even an ocean between them could stop their heartstrings pulling them back together.
This hot and steamy fairy tale had me gripped to the pages. There was nothing predictable or cliché and the different take on an old idea made it fun and interesting to read. This story had so many elements that sucked you in, yet nothing was ever given away. You may think you know what’s coming, but you don’t. Not until it up and slaps you leaving you left shocked and wide-eyed. You don’t have to wait until the end for these jaw-dropping moments. Suzie keeps ‘em comin’ just to keep things interesting.
It was easy to tell that the author enjoyed herself writing these characters. Hutton and Ally had me laughing and swooning, all in the same breath. I loved the easy and playful banter between them as well as their joking personalities. Hutton oozes charisma and respect for all women and you can’t help but fall in love with his protective nature and his witty mouth. Even all the side characters were lovable and played a big part in the story. Ally’s caring personality is what made me love her. Even with her station in life, she still ensures everyone she deals with is treated with the respect they deserve. She is born and bred a queen, a force to be reckoned with, and an awesome heroine.
There is still one more Everest brother with a story to be told, so don’t fret. You have not seen the end of the amazing Everest’s yet.
