Bestselling author JC Harroway hits record temperatures with this friends-to-lovers second installment of The Pleasure Pact series! Playboy billionaire Oliver Cotterill has never crossed the line with his best friend, Neve…until a destination wedding becomes a vacation fling that’s hotter than a tropical fever. My bad reputation is well deserved. That’s why I’ve always kept things platonic … things platonic with Neve Grayson. She may be a curvaceous beauty, but she’s also my best friend. The person who’s always had my back, always believed in me. The safest woman to take to my cousin’s Maldives beach wedding. Or so I thought…
Neve parading around in barely there bikinis strains the boundary I set for myself nine years ago. Discovering her bag of sex toys opens Pandora’s box…and there’s no going back. It turns out Neve made a “pleasure pact” with her friends–they’ve dared her to show me exactly how she feels about being platonic! Then we make our own deal: what happens on the island stays on the island.
Once I get a taste of sweet, funny Neve, I realize my cravings will never be satisfied. My best friend has become my most powerful addiction. But I have to go cold turkey before she becomes the next salacious tidbit for the tabloids. Before my messed-up family damages her as they have me. Before she learns my darkest secret and walks out of my life forever…

Yes, yes, YES!!!
Where do I even begin with this one?! It has to be my most fave yet from the awesomeness that is JC Harroway.
The chemistry between Neve and Olly positively sizzles and the way she executes the friends to lovers trope….my oh my, it’s just swoon-worthy. I loved both characters! The back stories, particularly Olly’s, were so fleshed out, it totally hooked my empathy radar and I couldn’t wait for these two to realise what was right in front of their faces all along, their perfect HEA!
The sex truly sizzles from the off, the bag of toys a hilarious and fantastic turning point to their relationship and from then on in, I was sold. Slay – you bad bad man, but you created Oliver so you know, got to give him some credit I guess, but good on Olly for realising he wasn’t built from the same mold and though Neve plays a part in helping him to realise that, I liked that Olly was able to see this for himself in the long run.
A great story with the perfect HEA and I can’t wait for the next in the series!
I’m trying not to take it personally, but seriously, what is J.C. Harroway trying to do to me? I’m a woman at a bad age (shut it!) and have enough problems with an elevated temperature as it is without the deliciousness that is one Oliver Cotterill being shoved in my face with the sexy smile, beguiling eyes, tats and pierced nipple *winks*. Then add on his huge heart (did I worry you there?). Ugh!
What was that? *mumbles* I didn’t need to read the book…
*nods* Harrumph!
*puts hand on hip* Did I ask for your opinion? *wags finger* For goodness sake, I just NEEEEED to release this tension…
*giggle-snorts* TMI overload. Oh boy, you ain’t read anything yet. *whisper-sings* Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Can men and women ever be just friends, and the best of friends to boot? Personally speaking, yeah, they can, but when your BFF is the living embodiment of your every fantasy come to life (too much?), it can be easy for lines to become blurred. This is the sucky situation that Neve Grayson finds herself in. Pining over what can never be is not anyone’s favourite pastime.
Yet, Oliver is about to see Neve in a whole new light *waves arms* when he discovers her *coughs* bag of tricks. I had the metaphorical cushion up for that scene, lol. Let’s just say, it hit a little too close to home for me. Ummm, there are some things that a mother shouldn’t know about their daughter (i.e. me) *blushes*.
*looks sternly* Forget we ever have this convo, ok?
Do I need to break out the Neuralyzer?
*rewinds back four sentences*
Appearances can be deceiving, and although Neve and Oliver may look like they have it all, they each have insecurities bubbling just beneath the surface. Can they find what they’re missing in each other?
Passion is (finally!) ignited in the Maldives! Can anyone else hear the strains of ‘At Last’? *laughs* I swear I’ve not been drinking – honest!
Bad Reputation was everything I’d hoped it would be, emotional, heartfelt, humorous, electric, and did I mention insanely hot? *sigh* Oliver and Neve certainly make an impact!
Lawd help me, Brooke’s story is coming soon, and I don’t know how I’m going to survive the onslaught, lol. But I’ll give it my best shot! *winks*
Bad reputation? I’d let Oliver ruin mine any day!
Best friends to vacation lovers with oh so many feels!! Oliver and Neve are sure to delight as JC Harroway brings us book two in The Pleasure Pact series with BAD REPUTATION. I loved every minute of it and enjoyed the love they had for each other and the tidbits of humor laced into an intense plot. I’m looking forward to more in the series!
Oliver Cotterill is such a sweetheart. His dysfunctional family has him believing he doesn’t deserve the love of a good woman, so for almost a decade he’s been fulfilled with Neve being his very best friend … but an obligatory showing at a cousin’s wedding with her by his side might just be his undoing!
Neve Grayson is so easy to like. She’s secretly loved Olly since the day she met him, but has delighted in having him as her best friend since she obviously didn’t do it for him then, but a Pleasure Pact with her girlfriends has her considering putting it all on the line to be honest with him once and for all about how she really feels.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone looking for a fast moving delicious plot filed with love, laughter and intense sexual pleasure.
