He’s sexy. He’s dangerous. He’s right next door.I gave up everything to save my sister from a monster, and now I’m lying low in this rundown apartment so I can stay out of danger. Hiding from everyone.Except for the guy in apartment 1A.He’s rude. Silent. Muscled, mysterious, and hot as hell. I don’t know if he likes me or hates me, but the more time I spend with him, the less it matters.I want … the less it matters.
I want him.
And for the first time in my life I’m going to go after what I want.
She doesn’t belong in my world.
From the second 1B moves in, I know she’s keeping secrets. She doesn’t belong here, much less with a street fighter like me.
But that doesn’t stop me from craving her. Her softness and sweetness. She’s a drug, and suddenly I’m addicted.
I know someone is going to try and hurt her and I can’t let that happen. But unless I push her away and get her out of my world, that someone could be me…

You know a book is powerful when you cry each time you read it. Which is definitely the case for this story with the author’s ability to stir my emotions with the self doubt brewing in both main characters. Resonating in all of us who have suffered with uncertainty when we compare ourselves to others. I definitely recommend.
Do you know when they say fear is going to be your biggest enemy in life? Well this book represents that fear in both Charlotte and Jesse. But in reality, it represents that fear in all our own life’s.
And their love story is one of a kind, keeping you glued to the pages to learn what will happen next, but what made me devour this story was really the way their own thoughts and words made me reflect about myself and my fear. About what was and still is stopping me from truly living.
Yeah I see a little bit of myself in both of them, and I learned a lot with each one. It surprised me how their life’s were so alike, their deep love for their brothers and their complicated relation with people. However, in the end they were brave enough to give us our happily ever after.
It was well paced, well built and I enjoyed it a lot! Totally recommend it.
Bad Neighbor – M O’Keefe – Well I inhaled this one, so I would call it a winner. The illustrator and the street fighter shouldn’t work, but it does. Happy Reading!
My first book by this author and when I finish writing this, I’m of to read book 2!
Charlotte has had to move into a dump of an apartment because she give the majority of all the money she had to her sister who is currently on the run from her latest boyfriend (I’ll admit, I kinda don’t like her! Sister or not, danger or not, you don’t take her all and leave her behind, leave her open to the boyfriend!)
Then we’ve Jesse, the tank! He is gorgeous, built, dangerous and he lives next door….
An interesting read, passed the time
This book starts off running and goes all the way until the end. Although I felt the forgiveness part went way to fast for my liking, I liked this book a lot. Lots of personal growth and fast love that kept me entertained the whole time.
This book about strangers who are each hiding away from the world for their own reasons living next door is totally hot. The sex scenes were intense, and I loved that the hero is bi, even though that’s not a major plot point. There’s a powerful urgency to every single time Charlotte and Jesse get it on, and even though they don’t know much about each other for about the first half of the book, O’Keeffe does an excellent job of showing just how closely they pay attention to each other, both in person and through the thin walls of their rundown apartment building. Jesse is a fighter in underground matches and some of that brutality was a little challenging for me to read since I pictured it all, but it definitely added to their relationship. Looking forward to the sequels.
Two socially awkward people meet up and make each other whole. Good story.
Really enjoyed reading this story.
Good book. The writer did a superb job on the characters the scenes everything . Yum Yum
Steamy, ok read.
I love the characters and it’s a bit different then others I have read. I’m almost done reading it
I absolutely loved this book. The characters were real, and I felt for them every step of the way. Such a great book! Read it! Really. So amazingly good!!
Lots of mystery and suspense. Makes you think about how we are ourselves. Loved the H and H. Will read more.
Ms. O’Keefe has written an easy-to-read erotic novel with plot devices that should please a wide range of readers. Her characters are well developed and sympathetic, and the story has enough nuance to be interesting from cover to cover. Readers should be aware that the chapters are presented from several narrators’ viewpoints. This may annoy some, but does make it easier to relay the narratives that explain each of the protagonists and their motivations.
This was my first introduction to O’Keefe’s writing, but the novel piqued my interest and I have purchased the sequel.
It seemed to me like there was a lot more sex than story… which is okay if that is what you expected I guess, but not so much if you are wanting an actual storyline. If the story itself had been fleshed out a little more, maybe a little more action other than sexual, I would have liked it better.
I loved the book, I am going to
Look for the second book ( jack story) , I think it will be amazing too.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I enjoyed this book.
Loved it!
It was okay, the male character wasn’t really likeable, not even at the end. He was way too rough around the edges to be a good love interest.
Good easy reading.
