A stunning and suspenseful new landscape emerges in the thrilling Dark-Hunter world a world where nothing will ever be the same again. . .Fang Kattalakis isn’t just a wolf. Definitely worth reading more than once
Fang is a wolf who can also walk as a man. He is attacked by Daimons and left comatose. Aimee is a bear and from the moment they meet they can’t seem to stay away from each other. She is the only one who can help Fang after his attack. Will they be able to overcome their differences or are they doomed from the start? There are factions out to do them harm, and who will be against them just because of who they love. I really don’t see the problem people have with more characters being introduced in these stories. If she didn’t introduce more people then it would be said that the stories were getting boring. I also don’t have a problem with things that are reiterated for the sake of the story. Not everyone reads every book in the series and the author tries to make each book a stand-alone. If something needs to be added from a previous book so that readers can follow what is happening then I can live with that. I really enjoyed this story, and I can’t wait to see where things go from here.
Nice addition to the Dark-Hunter universe here. It was great to finally read Aimee and Fang’s romance. The buildup was killer! Now, my only issue is as a series keeps growing an author needs to keep adding new elements to keep it from getting stale. Which SK definitely does, absolutely. But there is so freaking much new stuff it can get confusing sometimes, especially the cast of characters. You don’t even get used to the current cast before ten more are added. I myself have no problems with books repeating scenes from different characters perspectives. I actually like knowing what was going on during those times. So yes, still like this series.
Imagine being born into a life where you fight for your life against your natural enemies but against those in your pack as well. Where the only salvation you have is the brother who guards your back and the sister who gives you hope.
Meet Fang Kattalakis, a fierce Katagaria were-hunter belonging to a pack run by his father who hates him. He can shift between human and wolf. His brother Vane is the only one he can trust.
Aimee Peltier is from a Katagaria Bear Clan. The family runs Sanctuary, a place where all are welcome to come and mingle, but no fighting is allowed. Wolves and bears don’t mix, or do they?
By a cruel twist of fate, Fang is severely wounded by blood sucking Daimons and goes into a coma and his soul is lost in some kind of hell. Aimee pulls him out and they begin a journey that both realize is impossible.
I have always loved Sherrilyn Kenyon’s books from the very first one I read to all the others that followed. Bad Moon Rising does not disappoint. The characters and the cultures are rich and carefully developed to give the reader a story that keeps them turning pages.
I give this an 8 on the McBride Moxy Meter.
3 1/2 stars
I really struggled with what star rating I was going to give Bad Moon Rising, I love this series and the thought of giving one of its books a 3 star rating just didn’t sit right with me, but it didn’t earn 4 starts, so 3 1/2 stars it is.
I couldn’t wait to start this book, Fang and Amiee’s story had been building for what seemed like forever. So my excitement when I finally started the first page was infectious. That feeling that you get when you have been waiting for a book, and then it’s finally in your hands, and you have time to read it? Yeah, that’s the feeling I had. My excitement level when down a bit when I started and realized we were starting with events that unfolded long ago, but alright, I can use a recap……but when the hell is the story that I don’t already know gonna start? Chapter after chapter of things that have already happened, just from Fang or Amiee’s POV. Of course in some parts new content is added, some of it important, most of it not. It was frustrating. So, so frustrating. It wasn’t until 75% into the book when things that I had absolutely no clue what was going to happen next started happening. Yeah 3/4 of the book. The story that is told is a good one, I just wish I hadn’t read most of it before.
Love Sherrilyn Kenyon and her Dark Hunter world. I hope she keeps writing for many years to come.
While I LOVE FANG and I LOVE AIMEE I felt like a lot of the book was copy and pasted from prior books. It’s a horrible thing to say and I don’t say it lightly. What parts were original were very good.
