I actually didn’t like Logan’s immaturity and responsibility-phobic mindset in the beginning of this story. A spoiled, super handsome, rich, ex model, who never took anything seriously. Gambling with his friend Nellie who was equally frivolous and entitled, their last bet was bizarre and childish.
Going as far as putting his grandmother’s business and legacy at risk as he made the bet to sell ten thousand vibrators from Nellie’s company within a short period of time or give up his shares in her company.
Kendall’s strong efficient skills are used to help him with this frivolous bet.
As their work relationship grew, so did their personal one. I was impressed with the way the author developed both of their characters with each interaction. Before long, I was totally rooting for this unique couple and their HEA. By the time Logan met and interacted with Rory, the storyline was already a five star for sweet entertainment value.
Logan and Kendall had their relational stalls with fear of failure and personal insecurities, but it was never over dramatized or tiresome to read. Intense graphic scenes that had me believing that Logan finally grew up with Kendall’s influence, as Kendall gained trust in herself and others with Logan’s love.
A great read!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
She’s done it again! It takes more than good writing to produce a book as fun, sweet and steamy as Bad Love. It takes talent and a true love of writing.
Logan and Kendall are from different ends of the spectrum. He’s traveled and partied the world. Loves beer, poker and the ladies. Kendall, on the other hand, is the daughter of a pastor and a hardworking single mom to a sweet boy.
Keeping this post spoiler free, the chemistry between these two is unreal. Piper creates such lovable characters right off the bat. Writing strong woman is something she does beautifully and this book is no exception. This book was a great read! There are laugh out loud moments and sweet ones. Add a dash of sexy and you have the making of a fabulous book. Piper’s words are truly a gift for anyone who loves a good HEA
A definite must read if you’ve loved her other work. I loved seeing glimpses of Rena and Wes from previous books. Reminds me that there are more great reads to come!
Smart, sensual, funny, intriguing, butterflies in the stomach from just the words written in this unusual story ,zinging feelings in my fingers and toes, awww flashes, and awakening moments for many of the characters. These are all the thoughts that come into my mind and body while reading this delicious and beautiful story.
Logan, is a guy who thinks he just wants to live, love, and laugh. He’s smart, good looking and impulsive but he’s also so much more than that. He just doesn’t know it yet.
Kendall, is sensible, hardworking, ethical, moral and in need of someone to “get” her. She seeks perfection and is tenacious in her goals. This girl knows what she has to do to keep her life together, or so she thinks, but does she really?
The book brings a lot to the table. It’s not just a love story of a guy and a girl but a love story of all types, friendship, family, loyalty. Within this book we get to delve into insecurities. Things that hold people back or make them cover up or over compensate for what’s really going on.
Let me tell you the secondary characters are as important and interesting in this novel as is Logan and Kendall.
I don’t do spoilers. I don’t think it’s fair to the author. This is a book that deserves to be read and you deserve to read it.
As you can tell by my first sentence it brings all the feels to the table. Plus you get the heat, really good heat, in a beautiful way.
This is my first book by this author but it will definitely not be my last. I’ll sum this up by saying Bad Love never felt so good!
Bad Love was such a sweet and sassy read! This was such an unconventional love story and I LOVED every single word! Logan & Kendall were opposites in every possible way but they just worked! This book will make you smile, make you laugh and have you swooning all over the place. && I definitely recommend it to any and everyone.
I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.
Let me start by saying that ‘Bad love’ is a sweet, funny and steamy story. I had such fun reading it and once I started it I couldn’t put it down.
From the moment that I read the blurb and discovered that it was a story about a single guy who made a bet that involved vibrators and a single mother, I had to read it.
Kendall and Logan are great characters. Kendall is a smart, sweet sassy woman that because of her upbringing (pastor child) is also a bit naïve in some ways but I love that about her. And Logan may be a playboy but he is also much more than that. Because next to charming and impulsive, he’s also intelligent, attentive and loyal. The chemistry between Logan and Kendall is fantastic and their word play (banter) is amusing. The sex scenes are steamy. (And just like Kendall, I’m a fan of Logan’s tong piercing!)
But the cutest character in this whole book is most definitely Kendall’s son Rory. With his obsession for cooking and his seriousness, he’s just so adorable. The other second characters are also very good. I’m already hoping that Logan’s best friend Monty will get his own book in the future.
‘Bad love’ is told in both POV’s. This story may be the second book in the ‘Modern romance’ series but you don’t have to read the first book to read this one. It can be read as a standalone.
For the readers that loved Play, you are going to love this story too!
There’s nothing bad about this contemporary love story! The hero is handsome, rich, wildly popular, successful and great at his job (well the part of his job that he actually does), yet he doubts himself. He is so concerned with not disappointing the people he cares about that he avoids rather than taking on the challenge.
The heroine is petite and girl next door pretty. She’s young, talented divorced and a single mom to a 9 yo boy, who happens to be a culinary savant. She’s a preacher’s kid and that didn’t make life easier, especially when she turned up pregnant as a teenager. Yet Kendall is rocking motherhood and careerhood. She has everything under control and in top working order. Except, we’ll her lady bits. They, unfortunately, are a little dusty from non-use. Enter Hunter and his dildo/vibrator challenge and neither of their lives will ever be the same.
I loved it!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Bad Love was a fun and unique take on a single-mom romance, with two awesome main characters. Kendall is a fiercely protective, beyond hard working single mother. Her past experience has shaped her ideas of what she thinks she needs to be and do in life. Logan Hunter is a delicious interruption to her normally mild-mannered path. He initially comes off as the stereotypical carefree wealthy player, but we soon learn that he is much deeper than that. I fell hard for Logan’s love and admiration for his family (especially the women!) and family-run business. He’s cocky in all ways except for his expectations for himself in his career. He sells himself short, big time. Kendall is perhaps the first person to open his eyes to what he truly can do so well. Though they seem an unlikely pair, their relationship in business morphs into a delightful sexy personal one. They bring out the best in each other, but of course there are some bumps in the road for each of them to come to this realization! 5 fun stars for Bad Love!
I still have a lot of books to read from this author and I have enjoyed diving into her books as a new to me author. Well I have devoured 3 of them and this is my 4th one within the last month.
Logan and Kendall have a great story to tell about how they met for all time. Not a lot of people can say they met because of a sex toy and that there is one for the books!!! I like the single mom and playboy getting to delve into eachothers lives that helps them both out when they least expect it.
Loved Rory and is adorable Foodie heart. Damn wish my kid loved to explore cooking at that age and create fresh pasta!!
This one was a fun read and just what I needed at this time.
This was a fun read! I loved Logan and Kendall! The way they interact with each other had me rooting for them from the beginning!
If I could give a book more than 5 stars, this would be it. I was addicted from the get-go, I think it may be my favourite Piper Lawson book to date (in fact I know it is). I truly adored Kendall and Logan. Their story is sweet, sexy, and funny. Logan is a true man’s man, he parties, he goes to weekly poker night with his buddies and he loves and protects his family and friends fiercely. He also makes mistakes, but, I’ve got to say, he’s pretty great at owning them. One of his biggest mistakes comes in the guise of betting his shares in his family’s company on selling 10,000 vibrators. Enter Kendall to try and get him out of this mess, a marketing executive promised a huge cash bonus if she can manage to reach his goal. Kendall is a single mom, who works hard throughout the day day and dotes on her adorable nearly 9 year old son, Rory, by night. As a side note, Rory is pretty awesome and stole the show for me more than once. I don’t want to rattle on and on and bore you all, the synopsis says it all, I cannot recommend this book enough. Great writing, wonderful words and characters and a super fun storyline. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but why not read book 1, Easy Love, just to get the feel for this fantastic group of friends. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.
I really enjoyed the storyline and characters in this book. Rich playboy Hunter lives life for today but meets his match in straight-laced mom Kendall. Each helps the other overcome their fears and accept themselves for who they really are. My only criticism is that, IMO, the story did not seem to flow smoothly; it just seemed choppy and hard to follow at times. I found myself having to go back and re-read pages so things could make sense. A good, quick read.

Wow amazing , brilliant , awesome book I could not put this down , I was hooked from first couple pages unable to listen or concentrate on anyone else whilst I read this book …..I love Rory he is so cute and his obsession with food is so cute too…. Logan I just want to eat yummy and what a strong woman Kendel is I love this book so much it has all the feels a good book needs …..
Wow, I totally loved ‘Bad Love’. Piper Lawson just did it again. Actually, I didn’t know I liked modern romance that much till I start reading her books. And every book is almost better than the previous one if that’s even possible.
Kendall and Logan story is beautiful, funny, sexy, sweet, touching and very enjoyable. One of the things I like the most of Piper Lawson’s books is that we get both points of view. We see what’s happening through the two main characters of the book. And that’s something rewarding for the story.
Both, Kendall and Logan are smart, attractive and work hard to get what they want. But they have different views of what it’s the most important thing in live and how to get it and enjoy it. Their story is funny, with some hilarious moments and steamy scenes that will keep you reading non-stop.
The characters’ development is simply awesome. You just end up falling in love with all of them and can’t get enough. Another thing I do like about Piper Lawson books is that are full of positivity. Simply make you feel good. The characters and the plot give off good vibes and cheerfulness and this book in no exception.
If you enjoy captivating characters, interesting plot and beutiful modern love stories, this is your book!
