AllieWhen I moved to River’s Edge, dating was the last thing on my mind. I definitely didn’t expect to fall for him. Jesse Shepherd. Popular. Star athlete. Cocky as hell. You know the type. But as time passed, I realized there was more lurking beneath that gorgeous exterior.Secretive. Angry. A little bit broken. The more I peeled back his layers, the deeper I fell. Until I slammed headfirst into … fell.
Until I slammed headfirst into his sea of lies.
Jess
I blew my shot.
Pissed everything away—college, lacrosse, my future—only to end up right back where I started in River’s Edge.
I was content to revel in my misery, spending my days drowning in a bottomless pit of booze and girls.
Until I saw her.
Allison Parrish.
Beautiful. Sarcastic. Perpetual bad attitude.
The pretty little distraction from the shit show that was my life.
But the sins of my past were closing in on me, and I learned the hard way that nothing gold can stay.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, writes a broken, broody, bloody-knuckled bad-boy like Charleigh Rose. Bad Influence was one of my most anticipated books of 2019, and Jesse did NOT disappoint. I miss him already! 5 butterscotch-flavored stars! (+ 1 strawberry for Jess.)
This was my first Charleigh Rose book, and it’s already not my last. I immediately went and downloaded the first book in the series, Bad Habit. Angsty, hot, emotional, and just soooo good!
Soooooooo…. This is my second Charleigh Rose book, ever and her books are seriously like candy. I just about devoured this one and shame on for me starting book 3, first, in this series. I don’t know exactly what it is when it comes to her MCs. But I love that they’re a little rough around the edges and my goodness don’t even get me started on the angst. Charleigh puts in a healthy dose and it’s always the right amount.
This book … their story was absolutely EVERYTHING. Two flawed characters, keeping their secrets, encounter after encounter, and sizzling chemistry. This honestly might be my shortest review ever because I’m still unbelievably speechless and literally have no idea what to say. Other than you need to read this book ASAP.
Charleigh Rose has easily become one of my favorite new authors! Her stories, her heroines, heroes … all with their flaws and edges, she creates the best unforgettable tales. Can’t recommend this enough, go in blind … shoot, I started from book 3. And yes, I will go back and read the rest in this series.
**I RECEIVED A COMPLIMENTARY READER’S COPY FROM ENTICING JOURNEY BOOK PROMOTIONS IN CONSIDERATION FOR AN HONEST REVIEW. **
Charleigh Rose
“Nothing gold can stay. Nothing perfect and beautiful can last forever. Nothing except Allison Parrish.”
I’m kinda embarrassed to admit I haven’t heard of Charleigh Rose or any of her books, especially considering she is one of my all time fav authors best friend…..so when I say I chose this in my recommendations solely based on the cover, that’s 100% the truth. That cover seriously put me in the “you might be old enough to be his mom” cougar catagory…and I’m totally okay with that (I’m slowly coming to terms with being 35).
When I read the blurb, I was interested BUT the reviews were what really had me breaking my kindle library rules to read this before my older downloads…..and let me just tell y’all, it was the best decision of the year. Had I not found this one, I would have missed finding my 2nd fav read of 2019 and possibly at least tied for 2nd in the “ever” category….Im serious, the stars aligned perfectly to put this one right in my path.
This is the 3rd installment in this series, but each book can be read as a stand alone. However having read this one and not the others (yet), I will admit that reading the other two would have made the connection with quite a few of the supportive characters so much better and given me the backstory on Jesse that most readers have.
“So, we’re on the same page?”“We’re not even reading the same book.”
It is told dual POV, this story is about a boy who cant escape his past and a girl who is trying to move on from hers finding each other and figuring it all out together. It’s a slow burn intense read and will have you never looking at Dum Dum’s the same.
“I know that you’re not who you want everyone to think you are.” He looks over at me. “And who do you think I am?”“An outsider. Like me.”
This is the place that my synopsis would normally be, but this book is far too special for me to be able to wrap up in a few paragraphs without spoiling it for everyone. So instead Im doing something a little different…..
Characters:
“He was this one-dimensional, manwhore of a jock before, and now, there are layers. Layers that I want to peel back, even though I know I’ll get burned in the process.”
If you read the 2nd book in this series then you are familiar with Lo’s little brother Jesse. Although I wasn’t, I could tell the incredible bond and love these two have and it was special. You could FEEL their dedication to each other. Jesse lost every opportunity his sister sacrificed to make possible for him, and it’s heartbreaking to see him hide his disappointment in himself by being self-destructive and completely careless. He puts on the mask he thinks he needs to in order to survive, and it’s a beautiful thing to watch as those walls and fake personas come crashing down around him to reveal the guy he truly is. He isn’t the typical bad boy from most YA/NA romances…..he truly doesn’t believe in himself the way his sister does, and that in my opinion is one of the most emotional pieces of this book.
“You’re a fighter, Jess. You always have been. It’s all you’ve ever known. But right now? You’re fighting for the wrong fucking thing. Fight for you. Hell, fight for Allie. But don’t waste another second fighting for her, you don’t owe her a goddamn thing.”
Of course I was rooting for him in his quest to make Allie his, but I was rooting for him even more to fight for the future and life he had the ability to give himself. He is that bad boy that has a big ego but an even bigger heart….the way he could talk so dirty and do things that had me fanning myself but could then turn around and treat Allie with such a gentleness that melted my heart. He is in the top spot on my book bf list and I don’t see him being knocked off that pedestal for a long time.
“I’m starting to find that being with Allison quiets every fucking thing I’m forced to face. When I’m with her, I don’t think about my endless failures.”
Now for Allie….the book starts off with an event that makes your heart hurt for her, and it just keeps getting worse for her. I love that she isn’t the norm, she’s a true outsider…..and not in the ugly duckling that only the male lead sees her potential, but in the she’s gorgeous but likes what she likes and has no interest in fitting in. Honestly? This chick is exactly the kind of teen girl I hope my daughter grows up to either be like OR become best friends with. She’s written in such a gifted way that even in the moments she does something that should make me a little rage-y, instead it made me want to understand her reasoning and believe that she knew what she was doing. She’s strong, and not in the way that she’s a complete bitch who refuses to give the boy the time of day to prove a point and make a stand….no, her reasoning is for self-preservation of her heart because she’s seen the results of what love has done to her mother. She is a fav of mine as well.
“Love is real. Powerful. It has the potential to destroy you. To start wars and end lives. Love is a weapon. Love is dangerous, and I want nothing to do with it.”
Love Story:
“This isn’t a good idea,” she whispers. “The best things never are.”
This is a SLOW burn with plenty of sexual tension and back and forth banter between these two. It’s not an enemies to lovers tale, but it’s also not a friends to lovers story either. These two just connect and can’t seem to shake the other.
“She pushes, I push back, neither one of us wanting to be the first to bend—the first to show something real.”
Even after one humiliating incident (for Allie), these two can’t stay away from each other. The sexual attraction is definitely there and at times you are cheering them on to just get it on.
“I want you. And I’m sick of playing this game.”
But more than anything else about their connection is their ability to truly SEE each other….and to see much deeper than what everyone else sees. This is a sweet romance that is laced with some deceit, denial, and stubbornness. And in the end, it comes down to a fight for love and for what you deserve….and their fight had my entire heart invested.
“Nothing mattered to me before you. I self-sabotaged every good thing in my life before you came along. Part of me thinks I got kicked off the team on purpose, because it was easier to play that role, as fucked up as that sounds. But you make me want to be someone who deserves someone like you.”
Sex/Dirty Talk Scenes:
“Almost fucking her was the best sex I’ve never had.”
I’m just putting this out there now, this is the very first time I’ve EVER dedicated a “section” to sex and foreplay in a book. Call me a perv now, but you will understand after reading this book. Charleigh wrote each and every encounter between these two (whether it was dirty talk, messing around, sex) in such a unique and incredible way. She didnt try to pack every scene with acts for shock value or the typical and popular things that are in other similar books…..hell some of the sexiest and hottest scenes didnt even involve sex at all! She was able to add a gentleness to a guy that is a self-professed womanizer which had me in tears….
“I’ve thought a lot about what it would be like to finally feel you from the inside,” he says, pumping into me. “Nothing could have prepared me for the real thing. Fucking nothing.”
….to only then turn around and have him on some of the most kinky shit I’ve read in this genre which made me want to buy a pack of Dum Dum’s and wake my husband up for a reenactment. Hot and bothered doesn’t even cover it. I’m so desensitized to sex scenes in books (I read at least 5 books a week and most are packed with every kind of sex you can think of), and somehow she was able to pull me into every scene. This is the first time I cried reading an intimate scene and the first one in a very long time to make me want to take a cold shower. Her talent came from writing these two’s sexual experiences with such intensity and emotion that they felt real and not over the top and ridiculous.
YOU WILL NOT LOOK AT DUM DUM’S THE SAME.
EVERYTHING Jesse does from flirting to dirty talk to creative foreplay to sex is hands down way too damn sexy for his own good….if he was real he would need to teach a class.
“I know what your pussy tastes like—the answer is fucking delicious, by the way. I think boundaries are a thing of the past with us.”
Final Thoughts:
“I’m not good for you, and if you stay with me, I’ll only ruin you, too.”
This easily earned 5 stars from me, which isn’t a normal thing for me. Had I been able to give more I would have. With this being my first book from Charleigh she set the bar high for her other work, but I fully intend on devouring everything else she’s worked her magic on. Never have I read a YA/NA book that I couldn’t find a thing wrong with….and trust me I tried to pick apart something. She created two seemingly different characters and created a journey that felt more authentic than any biography could about a real life couple. I laughed. I cried. I laughed some more and cried repetitively. I got goose bumps. I got angry. But I also finished feeling satisfied and excited, because Charleigh gave me a “fix” that lately only re-reading my favs has given me.
So if you are looking for a book to get you out that reading funk you need in, or to remind you of how NA/YA used to be before everyone and their mama could claim to be an author…..this is it. Incredible book by an exceptionally talented author!
This author can truly write an angsty love story that grabs you by the heart and won’t let go. Alli was broken hearted, and Jesse just needs someone to love him enough to help him break away from the bad choices he makes. I loved their story! We also got to see Lo and Dare again. I love updates on other characters!
I want a sucker so bad now.
No one does YA/ NEW Adult romance like Charleigh Rose for me.
I absolutely adore this series. Bad Love series has been one of my favorites and Bad Influence did not disappoint. Allie and Jess’s character development and depth was superb. Their circumstances, hardships, and how they overcome it provides the perfect angst YA deliciousness you definitely need to read. This book was also oh so sexy and definitely had the steam factor.
I enjoyed this book a lot. Just wish the epilogue was a little further in the future.
I have recently started reading Charleigh Rose’s book and have fallen in love with her characters. They are truly one of a kind and I have really enjoyed getting to know the ones in this series. In Bad Influence, readers will be taken on an angsty journey with Allie and Jess as their figure out what they want out of life while going to school and doing what college kids do. Jessie’s life isn’t all that perfect though and while he may get any chick he wants he’s decided that school isn’t right for him at the time. Allie though is finally getting back into school after tragedy befalls her family and takes it seriously. I guess while in this instance the two are total opposites, they do have more in common than one would think. And when you read more about their lives you will understand when I say their story is a beautiful one.
Readers, if you enjoy the following things then I would recommend this one to you. Even if you could care less for them, I still suggest giving Bad Influence a try as it is a very good read and one that touches the heart- while making us blush!
Cocky, manwhore alphaholes who are able to be redeemed
Edgy heroines
The new adult college scene where partying takes place (makes me relive my college years)
Emotional reads that touch the soul
Charleigh Rose
First off, major kudos to the author for the playlist.
It was INCREDIBLE and fit every moment described SPOT ON!
Seriously, all the feels.
Like actual tingles, heart eyes and hand against my heart deep sighs.
It was easy to get lost in this book, it’s characters, and the story.
Thanks to this authors brilliant writing I was able to effortlessly visualize every description, and feel every emotion which made reading Bad Influence an emotional yet thoroughly enjoyable experience.
How could I NOT love Jesse and Allie?
They were perfect for one another and the slow burn /push pull way it took for them to FINALLY get together was as frustrating as it was exciting!
This is definitely a book that will keep you invested, so much so that I highly recommend clearing your schedule before starting because I promise all you’ll want to do is read it all in one sitting!
Five shine stars for this perfect book and two amazing characters, Allie and Jess !
OMG, I can’t believe what I was reading the last few days !
This is the first book I’ve read by Charleigh Rose and I fell so in love with her writing and her characters, that I can’t wait to read the first two book (“Bad Habit” and “Bad Intentions”) from this series !
“Bad Influence” is so perfect book and unforgettable characters!
I love them so much and they got under my skin from page one .
I felt like I’m the part of the story the whole time I was reading and now after I finished it .
This book is so emotional and beautiful! Everything you need in a book!
Highly recommended!!!
P. S. Now, I’m waiting for “Bad Habit” and “Bad Intentions” to come from Book Depository !
Can’t wait to read them !!!
Five bad-influenced stars! Beware, Dangerous bad boy inside…
Oh Charleigh. Where do I begin? Seriously I’m clueless how this woman blows my mind with every book she writes. Her bad boys always ruin me in the most delicious way. Her writing blows my mind. She is a princess of YA & bad romances! There is something about her books that sucks you in and makes you crave more and more. The moment I started Bad Influence I knew that a hurricane of beautiful temptation would hit me, leaving me breathless. It made me feel a roll coaster of emotional torture. It owned my heart. It consumed me. Bad Influence is beyond words. It was sexy, angsty, emotional and hot AF! It is a sweet tale that tastes like F strawberries. Full of emotions and beautifully heart-breaking. It is an unpredictable tale of young love that has a little bit of everything.
The plot is unique and original. The pacing is fast and the story unfolds flawlessly. It is full of intense and intoxicating emotions that will leave you speechless. It is refreshing and brilliantly plotted. Bad Influence is dangerously perfection. It is complicated. It is raw. It is natural. It is the epitome of a powerful writing that I could feel every emotion poured in the characters. The abandonment, the loss, the attraction, the pull and push and all the conflicted feelings running around the characters.
This is the story of Jesse and Allie. Two young and lost souls who have trust issues and who are pretending that everything is ok when it is not because underneath they are the same: strong and determined even when they both struggle to find their way. They are a match made in heaven. From the way the met, the interaction between them, the sizzling attraction and the fire that consumes their hearts when they are together to every little detail about their relationship is absolutely F perfection. They both are broken but their broken pieces just fit impeccably when they are together. Allie softens the rough edges and lights Jesse’s darkness while Jesse challenges Allie in the most pleasurable way. He awakes her desire in the most primal way. He is bad news to sweet innocent Allie. The way she carries herself. The way she uses sarcasm as a shield to protect herself of the emotional torture that is love.
Jesse is the epitome of a bad boy. He is arrogant, self-destructive and sexy as hell. He has a funny vibe and you can’t help but laugh although the brokenness of his heart and soul, that only makes him more attractive and very tempting. Lacrosse player, playboy, skater, sinner, arsehole. Jesse has too many personalities. He put bad in bad boy! He is sin personified. Dangerous and broken. He has lost direction in his life, his failures haunt him endless making him lie to everyone and spending time with Allie quiets all the things. She is his calm to his torment. She is his own personal balm. She is his favourite flavour. Underneath, Jesse is a romantic sweet arsehole.
Plenty of emotions and vulnerability pours from the pages of this masterpiece mixing with a beautiful and engaging writing. This is Carleigh at her best. I wonder what other bad romances she will write next. Bad Influence is a must read for every romance lover.
This is my first read by Charleigh Rose but it will not be my last! I read the excerpt and was immediately intrigued. Bad Influence is the 3rd book in the Bad Influence Series but can be read as a standalone. It had such a great plot. It was funny, heartbreaking, steamy, and sexy! Charleigh did a great job of making me feel all of the emotions. Jesse and Allie had such great chemistry. They are both broken for different reasons. I loved the push and pull, witty banter between them, and the way they come together.
Jesse is a cocky, bad boy, all-star athlete. He’s sinfully hot and popular. Allison, aka Allie, is beautiful but doesn’t realize just how beautiful she is. She is sarcastic, has a bad attitude, and a chip on her shoulder. Life hasn’t been kind to either one of them but when they come together, sparks fly. Are the sparks enough? Together, can they heal one another?
I really enjoyed this book. It sucked me in from the beginning and I could not put it down. The angst is so good. It had my heart hurting for both of them. I loved all of the characters. They were genuine and I felt every emotion. I highly recommend reading this book!!!! Charleigh Rose has gained a new fan!
****ARC generously provided in exchange for an honest review.****
Bad Influence is the third book in the Bad Love Series. Can be read as a standalone, however the first two books are so good, I wouldn’t want you to miss them so I would start with them first. I like how Charleigh Rose pens her stories, they are enjoyable, heartfelt, funny and steamy. The characters were so good together, and just what the other needed. I will say there was a few times I wanted to smack Jesse, and my heart hurt for Allie. I liked seeing past characters. Great story!
When Jesse needs help sloughing off a clingy ex, he turns to the hot girl he’s just noticed. Allie can’t say she’s all that thrilled to be singled out by Jesse, but she can admit he’s hot. So when he needs her help, why not? But of course, true to form, he turns out to be player he’s famous for, so she shuts him out of her room, thinking that’ll be the end of it.
But as things are wont to do, circumstances change, and they’re back in each other’s orbits again. But, it can and will be casual, Allie thinks. Until it’s not. Until feelings are developing all over the place.
Jesse’s broken, though, as is Allie. Can two broken souls find refuge with each other?
Well…they can, if one of them can get past his demons. And that’s the crux of the problem here – Jesse’s demons are so heavy, so intense, that they almost made it impossible for him to let Allie in. And speaking of Allie – she’s my favorite part of Bad Influence. She’s relatable, she’s sweet, she’s strong and a survivor. I can’t remember the last time I loved a New Adult heroine more! I had a harder time with Jesse, but I got past it eventually and started feeling badly for him instead, when it became just how obviously he was hurting inside.
I’ve only read the first book in this series, and I’m glad to say that I enjoyed this one a lot more. Bad Influence is excellent – substantial in a way most New Adult fiction is not, emotionally satisfying, and Allie and Jesse are fire together!
I just finished Bad Influence and I can’t stop the smile that I have on my face!! This story was just so wonderful and I loved every minute of it. It’s part heartbreaking and part sexy (strawberry dum dum’s…..enough said), but 100% amazing!! Jess and Allie were just magic together and I didn’t want their story to end. I just love them so much. Enjoyed seeing Lo and Dare again, as well as a small cameo by Asher and Briar……….ahh, this town of Rivers Edge is just so much fun to visit and I can’t wait until it’s time to take another trip back!
All the insecurities of surrendering to trust and ultimately love rear their ugly heads in Charleigh Rose’s Bad Influence.
Jesse and Allie while growing up under different circumstances both shared the burden of being raised in dysfunctional homes that shadowed their views of relationships. From the start this couple’s reluctant attraction was driven by more than their mutual lust as they each intuitively found reasons to like each other on a deeper level. On the outside Jesse was charming and flirty, taking on the guise of a player even as he yearned for more from Allie but felt unworthy of her. Allie was drawn to Jesse but she was finding it hard to recover from the pain of a recent personal tragedy and placing her trust in him. This couple’s connection was fierce! They circled and sparked throughout this work for some seriously strong chemistry. Between the barely contained naughtiness lingering just below Jesse’s surface and Allie’s lethal tongue this couple was very well matched.
Charleigh Rose shows vulnerability in her bad boys like nobody’s business. With a real talent for getting beyond their sexy rough exteriors and slowly peeling them back with just the right of ambiguity in her hero’s to keep her readers guessing as to who they really are even while falling in love them right along with her heroines. Well-developed witty exchanges, emotional vulnerability and a perceptible attraction kept this story interesting and edgy. Writing thoughtful characters in harsh circumstances Ms. Rose was comfortable in tackling difficult and awkward moments in a fluid manner. Bad Influence proves once again why Charleigh Rose is my go to New Adult expert for finding HEA’s for gorgeously flawed characters!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
*While part of the Bad Love series this book can be read as a standalone.*
This story follows Jesse, previously introduced to us in Bad Intentions. You don’t have to have read Bad Intentions as Jesse is only a side character, however I highly recommend it to get the real emotional feel for Jesse’s character.
Jesse has grown up in poverty, with a mum addicted to meth and his father no where in site, he has always had to fight for himself throughout his life. When he loses his College scholarship thanks to his troubles in his past, he finds himself lost in Rivers Edge and crashing back on his sister’s couch. Only thing he didn’t think he would be coming home to is a girl in his bed, who is as lost as him.
Allie his mourning the loss of her father while she moves to his home town, Rivers Edge, to attend college. At her first fraternity party, she finds herself hooking up with the hot Lacrosse playboy; Jesse. Thinking it was a one off hookup, she didn’t expect to find out he was her bosses brother and will be her new roomie.
Allie & Jesse are both lost. Both orphans and with emotional demons in their past, they seek to find happiness in each other. And its truly beautiful to see them both grow from learning from each other.
This book just hit me in a very emotional spot, and I can’t seem to get past that. I felt connected to the main heroine and hero throughout the story, and I am so relieved they got their much needed HEA.
I am simply OBSESSED with the men of River’s Edge- and I’m so happy to be back in this charming town with all the people I adore. I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t be able to see Jesse as a leading man, after first meeting him in Dare and Lo’s story when he was the sarcastic, but loving, teenage brother trying a bit too hard to be an adult. But, Jesse really shines here- thanks to Chareigh’s brilliant writing.
Chaleigh is so fantastic at emotional characterization- she’s amongst the finest at creating emotionally complex, flawed, and beautifully broken heroes and heroines- characters who are often lost within their own emotional flux, but who find liberation and wholeness by embracing their own pain- which is catalyzed by their love and connection to another. These stories are so beautiful because of that journey of self-actualization- the beautiful way that Charleigh brings emotional depth and beauty to their pain, giving them that sense of belonging and safety juxtaposed with their brokenness. Her characters always feel so real, so authentic and fresh- she makes them dynamic and dimensional with layers that she lovingly and artfully unravels page by page She’s truly a master- which is why I’ve yet to met a Charleigh Rose character I haven’t loved or felt deeply connected to- Jesse and Allie included.
Jesse is so much more nuanced and vulnerable than I anticipated based on meeting him in Book 2- like many young adults, he puts on a front, a facade he uses to camouflage his truth. Underneath this snarky, arrogant jock is a hurt boy with a beautiful heart who is scared of failure and rejection and burdened by his own history. He’s hot, magentic, and delicious- but he’s also sweet and tender. (And, I will never think about Dum Dums the same away again. SHEESH.)
I didn’t think I could love anyone as much as Lo, but Allie is fantastic. Like Lo, she’s persistent and independent- and her own baggage means she’s reluctant to rely on or invest in others. But, like Jesse, she’s trying to convince herself and others that she’s got it together, when really she is a fragile heart just trying to survive her own history.
Together, their connection is somehow both explosive and demure- a sizzling chemistry grounded an in intense emotional connection, they find strength and self-understanding by opening their hearts with each other. I loved watching it unfold- from the banter to the yummy times (Charleigh is SOOO good at these! MEOW!)
Dare and Lo are still the GOAT, but Jesse surprised me. I could not put this story down. The angst, the emotional complexity, the yummy heat, and the tender character journeys grabbed my heart and mind and linger with me still. This is why Charleigh is one of the few authors I will one-click without even reading the blurb- I know I’ll find heart and heat, rich characters with beautiful character evolutions, and intense character connections that are truly unparalleled. Read this whole series!
a”Look, I’m sorry if it’s weird that I’m here. Your sister doesn’t like to take no for an answer-”
“Runs in the family.”
-I fell SO HARD for Jesse Shepard. Absolutely everything about his personality drew me in.
-What?? I like my men complicated and slightly emotionally stunted. I’m kidding… just don’t go look up any of my ex’s, ‘kay?
-Jess does have walls in place but for very good reasons. Only one person has never let him down and he feels like all he can do it let her down. He’s trying to find his place in the world when he feels like he’s in two different worlds constantly. Then you have beautifully damaged Allie. I love a female character that I would personally want to be best friends with in real life. And Allie just seems like good people. She misses her dad and mourns the lack of a relationship she has with her mother. But she refuses to take the steaming pile that life has handed her. I really loved her resilience. But the thing I loved most about this book was watching Jess being brought to his knees, despite his great effort to eff it all up. Their back and forth banter had me giggling late into the night.
“So we’re on the same page?”
“We’re not even reading the same book.”
-If a guy said that to me, I’d straight beg him to wife me up. I’m all about some quick wit and a sharp tongue with a dash of smart mouth.
I also tried to audio this story but I said, nope… this is a story that needs my undivided attention and is begging to be read physically. I’m so glad I did. I would have been mad that I flew through this book even fasters with audio. I actually had to make myself slow down on it because I now only have one unread Charleigh book besides her upcoming release. I try to forgive my favorite authors when they aren’t slinging books out left and right but I so want to be greedy and lock her up with a laptop and a her own personal Strbucks barista and make her right all the words. But I’m pretty sure she’d physically fight me and there’s that whole kidnapping an innocent and unsuspecting barista. Plus I’m poor and lawyers are expensive. Doubt I’d be found Not Guilty when this review gets entered into evidence anyway. And I’d never plead out like a little bitch. Okay, I’m off topic….
ANYWAY! I found Charleigh through another romance reader and was instantly a forever fan after Bad Intentions. She writes the most entertaining, delicious bad boys with bad b- females that know how to handle that sh-. To read her one liners from the characters in her books, it will make you wish this author was also your personal best friend. If you haven’t picked up any Charleigh Rose books yet then let me be the first to tell you, YOU ARE MISSING OUT. You cannot stop at just one. I have tried so hard to hold off and save them and savor them but my resistance was low and now I’m side eyeing that last unread book on my shelf like it’s personally offended me because it’s the last one standing. Yes, I feel this strongly about everyone reading this author. Go. Go now. Then you can come back and thank me. Charleigh Rose
