From New York Times bestselling author Shanora Williams comes a deliciously sinful standalone Motorcycle Club romance with twists you won’t see coming…There’s a myth that floats around in my city. They say the president of the local biker gang is ruthless, heartless, and that once you cross him, you’ll spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder. There are whispers that he was once … are whispers that he was once lost in a forest, and when he was found, he was surrounded by a pack of wolves that were protecting him.
Many will tell you he’d never let his guard down for a woman, and that if he ever did, it would be bad for her.
The one thing this city doesn’t know about me is that I’m not your average woman. I’m a fighter, and when someone messes with my family, I will fight, and when my freedom is stolen, I will do whatever it takes to get it back.
When I’m done with him, the rumors will come to an end because I’ll be the woman who tamed this infamous biker president.
I’ll be the woman who, in the end, was bad for him.

WOW!! Is a word I can use to describe BAD for me! I will be honest and say, I’m not a big fan of MC books, but I’m a HUGE fan of Shanora’s words.
This book was unexpectedly exciting…. Had me on the edge of my seat….
The Chemistry between Wolf and Nova made me SWOON!! It was hard for me to wrap my mind around just a single point of view, but I think Shanora did a great job of capturing the essence of this story…. and their connection!
Can’t wait for future stories from these two. Good Job Shanora!!
MC book lovers! Hear me out! There is no amount of stars to express how good this story is. It’s freaking amazeballs! It has a perfect balance of everything that I love in MC books.
After I’ve finished reading Bad For Me I was totally speechless and stared blankly at the wall because Wolf and Nova story completely destroyed me. It was jaw dropping MC suspenseful novel with so many twists and turns that I was overwhelmed by so many different emotions.
Spectacular and outstandingly written book that sucks you in from the very first chapter. Now I’m trying to recover from massive book hangover because those two rebellious and stubborn individuals who love the challenge, gave my book-junkie-soul new huge high.
It was my first read from Shanora Williams author and from my research it was also her first written Mc romance but she truly pulled off one of the best motorcycle club story. She bought me with every aspect in this book, from great and profound plot full of dangerous bikers and fast pace action, through the strong and unique heroes with whom I fell deeply in love.
Let me tell you, this story is unputdownable so reserve yourself couple of hours for reading cause you wont be able to walk away from it.
If her previous stories are as awesome as this one, from now on I’m her huge fan.
Bad for Me is written from Nova POV. It was more thrilling because Wolf’s character became even bigger mystery to me. Young but very dangerous Mc president was hiding many secrets behind his unemotional heart surrounded by tall walls.
I don’t know who was more rebellious, Wolf or Nova but definitely both of them were one of the kind characters broken by their past. They both had their own reasons for not to get involve in the relationship and to let their feelings show.
I loved Nova, her strength, courage and how she was able to manage considering her hard past life. She was feisty, fearless with sassy mouth and very assertive attitude. Anyone who met Wolf in his life known that, you don’t dare him but Nova challenged him all the time.
The connection and chemistry between them was powerful that even they tried denying it, something stronger was pulling them toward each other but the relationship wasn’t even part of the plan. They were coming from two different worlds and their lifestyles were so much unlike.
Shanora Williams revealed secrets piece by piece in the story and I was constantly on the edge of anticipation for more.
I need to mention about whole background in the story and secondary characters who’s perfectly fulfilled it and added more thrilling moments and emotions to the story.
It was a book about finding themselves in the not so perfect world. It was a story that sometimes you need to let go and give fate the chance because I sure as hell believe that Nova and Wolf were meant to be together.
Bad for Me is totally must read of 2019.
An incredibly unique and powerful experience!
For being Shanora Williams’ first MC book it was strikingly edgy, stimulating and palpable. The words flowed smoothly and I could feel the ride along with Nova and Wolf! Strong characters with difficult pasts and yet resilient, independent, determined and feisty! The development of their interactions and chemistry was unpredictable and eloquently done by Ms. Williams.
Every twist and turn was unexpectedly exhilarating and having finished hours ago, I’m left feeling bereft wanting more on these captivating characters!
Bad For Me
Omg I am a huge Shanora Williams stalker and when I seen she was writing MC. (One of my fav tropes)..I knew I was in for a treat!! I was in heaven!!
Y’all this was Shanora’s first time to write MC and she knocked this shit out of the park…gahhh I just finished reading and I absolutely want a re-read already. There are parts of Bad For Me that I have already deemed my fav parts and have read over and over again for sure!! lol
sighs…
LOVED.EVERYTHING.ABOUT.THIS.BOOK!!
Yea..I’m going to say it…another Best book of 2019!!
Thank you for writing Shanora Williams!!
PS…This is the perfect..PERFECT COVER FOR WOLF!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!
“He may seem like he’s no good for me—that he’s bad for me—but when we’re alone, all I receive from him is the good.”
#CoverLust strikes again! Once I saw the cover, I couldn’t not read Bad For Me. And once I discovered it was an MC Romance, I was so excited I’d found another author to feel my addiction.
I met Nova first, and the story is told from her POV. Being the product of a dysfunctional home she grew up fast and took over caring for her younger brother. She’s strong and feisty and badass. She doesn’t back down, even when she’s afraid. And when someone she loves is threatened she will throw herself in front of them to protect them.
Of course, Nova has heard of The Lords. Who hasn’t? They are infamous in Nirvana, Arizona. The stories about Wolf has everyone afraid of him, crossing the street to avoid being near him. Everyone in this city knows not to mess with or get involved with The Lords and I ended up doing both.” When Nova is taken, she doesn’t stop fighting. She throws sass at everyone she comes in contact with at the clubhouse (aka The Den). I found it very interesting to see everything through her eyes, especially Wolf.
Wolf is the president, the alpha. “They may have their disagreements, but they are a pack. They are The Lords of Chaos, howling in unison—howling to the crescent moon in the middle of a starry night—” I really enjoyed the battle of wills between Wolf and Nova. He’s not used to anyone pushing back and doesn’t quite know what to think of her. Actually, he can’t stop thinking about her. He wants her and he’s struggling to resist the attraction.
Nova knows there’s only way for her to stay safe, and that’s under Wolf’s protection. The problem is that she wants to be under his body too. Everyone says he’s bad for her, but he doesn’t feel bad when he touches her. When I wasn’t fanning myself I was biting my nails over the danger and suspense. I enjoyed it all and though it’s not mentioned, I’m really hoping the Lords of Chaos MC ends up being a series with more to come. The line forms here…
So I will be honest I am not a Big MC fan. I read them only if they are a book that I need to read. I always give them a chance though.
I’m always surprised (I shouldn’t be).
So this was Wolf and Nova’s story. It wasn’t without heartbreak, anger or happiness.
I did love this book and I hope there are more coming out. It was rough and amazing.
Shanora has proven to me time and time again that she can write anything. MC check, forbidden check, love story with triggers check. I’ve loved them all.
Everything about this book is not what it seems and even when you think you have it all sussed out , bang. Another twist is staring you in the face to knock you off course. Packed full of drama, suspense, twists galore3 and “ I really did not see that coming” moments and it will have you hooked until the very end. I really enjoyed this book and getting to know each character. This is the 1st time that I have read anything by this author and it definitely won’t be the last.
Wolf is MINE! saying this right off the start lol I absolutely loved the MC book by Shanora! I enjoy MC’s and this was probably one of my top reads! I literally was sucked in and the twists, turns and surprises that pop up will leave you going WOW, OMG, WHAT?! The chemistry between these two once they come together is explosive and you can just feel that they are meant to be together. If you enjoy reading MC genre I highly recommend reading this one!
3.5 stars for Bad For Me by Shanora Williams. This is my first book from this author and I look forward to reading more. This book while it is a MC romance , I think it is different from the others I have read. Wolfe is the Prez and takes Nova when she offers herself in exchange for someone she cares about. Wolfe is known as a bada** that no one messes with but Nova gives him a run for his money. She sticks to her guns and gives him a run for his money. There are so many twist and turns in this book. In order for Nova to be safe at the Den, Wolfe needs to claim her per club rules if not she is fair game. What will Wolfe do. I don’t want to spoil anything, but I will say this is a dark read. I enjoyed the story, my only issue was with Wolfe. I wanted more redeeming qualities in him than there where, but other than that the book was dark, dirty, and gritty. It was a great read.

Bad for Me was my introduction to Shanora Williams and it was quite the introduction. I read the blurb and was instantly intrigued. I’ll admit that it was hard for me in the beginning. Most MC novels I read start off at a zero to sixty speed but that’s not how this one went. Shanora stayed away from the usual cliches. You know… how the big bad biker is SO mean but the heroine cant help but instantly cream her panties? Or how they’re already in lust/love by chapter two even though she doesn’t want to be there.
Shanora’s approach was REFRESHING. Nothing was instant. Wolf’s layers were pried open with hard work and a crowbar (kidding about the crowbar). Nova didn’t give in so quickly to Wolf’s bad boy, sexy appeal. She was frightened most of the time and in self preservation mode. The chemistry between them may have been in the works in the background but they weren’t instantly jumping each other’s bones by page two. I really loved that about this book!
The characters were highly developed with strong personalities. The club traditions were a bit different than what I usually see in books like this. Honestly I’m in awe of how pleased I am. I wasn’t expecting something as different as what was delivered in this story and I SO pleased!!! I am excited to see how the rest of the guys find and claim their women.
Shanora is writing an MC romance, sign me up!
Nova our heroine has had a bad upbringing but she’s got her life on track with a good job, apartment and is a mother figure to her brother, Silas, who also stays with her.
Silas, has got himself in trouble with the local biker gang and Nova, the protective sister she is steps in to save him, offering herself up to Wolf in the process.
She’s then thrown into the life of a MC club and no matter how hard she tries, there is no way out for her. The President, Wolf, sets the rules for her and holds all control over her life. From the other girls at the club she’s made aware that so no one to cause her bother, Wolf must claim her for himself and so her journey to break him down begins!
Nova is such a strong forceful character. She knows what she wants, always sticks up for herself and is very free spirited. I loved her! Having to follow rules is not something she enjoys but knows when to pick her battles, however, she’s never met someone like Wolf before.
Wolf. He is one strong alpha and it did take me a little while to warm up to him. I think I would have liked more of him, he first appears around 20% but doesn’t really show up until the 50% mark and I know this is probably due to his mysterious, hard character. He’s quiet, closed off to everyone, but as his story evolves you realise how he is the way he is. By the end I loved him, the claiming moment made me swoon so bad along with his sweet moments between him and Nova, although you can never call him sweet!
This is an enjoyable read that I devoured with many twists and turns and moments I wanted to rage with the angst build up.
Although we did get an enjoyable ending I would love more from this couple, they seem like there could be a lot more from them. I’m a massive fan of Williams and she has created a thrilling, suspenseful ride with this story.

Nova is a free spirit. After a crappy childhood, with a drug-addict mother and alcoholic grandmother, absent father, she raised her baby brother Silas, and when she was able, rented an apartment for them to live in. She’s a photographer and loves her job in a magazine. There’s an older guy, Ellis, with whom she spends some time, but always, just before dawn, she’s home to make breakfast for her baby brother. Unfortunately, like many teenagers in small towns, Silas got mixed with the wrong group, the Lords of Chaos, the town’s MC, outlaws and feared in town. When Silas got caught and was about to be executed, she offered her life for him and that’s how she ended up in the MC’s den, in the Prez’s room, and captive for life. And to add insult to injury, she gets the nickname of “Lamb”.
“Just a week ago, I was a normal girl whose biggest problem was whether the photos for a photoshoot were edited well enough or not. But now? I’m just a prisoner, waiting for the day I can break free and never look back.
In this MC, there are a bunch of women, some have been claimed by one of the bikers, the rest are like a pool of candidates for the picking of the rest of the men. When the bikers have an itch to be scratched, they pick one of the girls and take them to their room. Since the girls are being fed, clothed and housed, they have no ground to complain, they have to comply and serve whoever wants to take them, even if the guy is repulsive or violent in bed.
“The thing about being a club girl or hoe or whatever you want to call it, is it’s usually for the girls who have nowhere else to go. We’d rather feel wanted somewhere than nowhere, you know? And it’s hard out there, Nova. No matter how bad the men get, it always seems safer being with them than out there.”
Once a prisoner in camp, Nova had two choices: be claimed by Wolf, the Prez, or become a sex commodity for the bikers. She chose the less horrible choice, and she’s trying hard for Wolf to claim her. Then plan for her escape and to find her brother. The problem? Wolf is strange; ruthless, unfeeling, doesn’t need sex for months, doesn’t like to be touched. How to seduce a man who doesn’t need it?
There’s nothing enticing about men behaving like animals over the claiming of a woman as if she was a race trophy. It was, in fact, a scary scene.
“I watch as several of Wolf’s Lords ride by on their bikes with unlit wooden torches. Some of them are howling like wolves, and if I thought they were animals before, then I was sadly mistaken. I have never seen them more riled up and wild than they are now.”
As Nova gets to know Wolf, she’s intrigued by him. Two older women in the club, Thickems and Empress, are like mothers to Wolf, and they give Nova limited information about the guy and share their affection for him. He’s ruthless with everyone but kind with these two women. They give Nova a different perspective from the dangerous and ruthless man she sees.
I found the book a little boring until halfway through. Then Wolf started to act more human, he began to show his feelings and interact with Nova and then things got a lot more interesting. They were very attracted but Nova still had to reconcile Wolf’s actions toward Silas. It is a testament of this author’s brilliant writing that in spite of cringing and feeling repulsed by the actions in the first half of the book, I was riveted by the second half. I even bought the love story between Nova and Wolf. He was a different man when he was alone with her. We also learn about his story, how he came to be the club Prez and understand.
“The world sees Wolf, and they consider him a reject. A failure. They think he is irredeemable, but I’ve witnessed his redemption. I know he can be saved. Will he ever be a saint? No, but he can be a better version of himself, even as the President of the Lords of Chaos.”
I have a problem in presenting a man who kills without compulsion to be a romantic hero. There are several violent acts that I found offensive in a romantic hero. And yet, I loved them together and I was rooting for them versus Nova and Ellis, the old guy, who turned out to be a different man from initially depicted. Once Wolf opened his heart, he was considerate, protective, loving.
“I love everything about him. Yes, loving Wolf is scary, but I think the thrill of what we have is what keeps us so attached. He may seem like he’s no good for me—that he’s bad for me—but when we’re alone, all I receive from him is the good.”
Secondary characters were very colorful. Some of the women were like the mean girls in a high school. The two elderly women, Thickems and Empress, were motherly and kind. Their story in the book is fantastic and I loved it! Sniper, Loco, and Cannon were silent, deadly but not unkind. Other characters, like Diesel, were disgusting.
So color me confused and a little conflicted, but yet, the second half of this story was a great ride and now I want to know who’s the next one in the series.
Bad for Me was a steamy thrill ride full of everything I love about MC reads from drama, suspense, twists and turns and enigmatic characters I felt driven to find out more about. From the first chapter I was captivated by Nova and just as I was settling into her story Wolf came charging in like the true Lord of Chaos he was. I loved the battle of wills between Wolf and Nova as the sexual tension they generated reached incendiary levels and I eagerly waited to see who would crack first. I couldn’t get enough of these two as I watched them break down the others walls and the undeniable connection they shared grew. After such a steamy, intense and thrilling start with Bad For Me I eagerly look forward to what’s in store next for The Lords of Chaos.
I love Shanora’s writing and was glad to see that she was writing one of my favorite genre’s MC. Bad for Me took me a little bit before I got into the story. I liked the story, but just didn’t love it as much as I do her other books. It could be just me though so take a chance on this one.
Happy Reading Everyone!!!
I love MC romances…they’re gritty, twisted, and full of action, and I’m always looking for new series in this trope. I’ve read quite a few books by Shanora Williams, so when I learned she was working on a biker story, I couldn’t wait to see how she constructed and built up her biker world, and because she’s no stranger to darker romances, I had complete faith in her ability to introduce her readers to The Lords of Chaos and the sinfully sexy MC President who sees himself as a bad bet – a man who has nothing to give anything of substance to a woman, especially a woman who gives him more than a little sass and a whole lot of trouble, but not in the way one would expect.
Wolf is definitely a prickly alpha male – one who’s used to relying solely on himself, and as President of an MC, his duty lies with his brothers, upholding established rules and laws that keep things in somewhat of an order even though the biker environment is one of chaos and danger. But there’s also a war going on in the town of Nirvana, which means the stakes are even higher and so are the risks, so Wolf doesn’t have the time to get in deep with Nova…too bad their attraction and connection don’t care about that fact.
The dynamics between Nova and Wolf are a lot of fun to watch because she’s unlike any woman he’s ever met. Nova didn’t back down from Wolf, never feared him, never bowed down at his feet, which speaks volumes about the kind of heroine she is and just how well she can hold her own with anyone. And, the fact that Nova doesn’t allow Wolf to bulldoze her, doesn’t allow him to boss her around, even though it’s clear she needs his help and protection is what intrigues him the most when it comes to this snarky and beautiful woman who has found her way not only into his club but into his heart, something he never though would or could happen.
Bad For Me is a fast-paced, action packed, twist filled read, and while I felt like there was a bit of information overload, at times, in the storyline, I also understood why those details needed to be provided…I guess I just wanted them to be explored throughout the course of the text instead of a large amount at one time. There’s a lot to sort through when it comes to the ins and outs of the MC as well as the pasts of the hero and heroine and how they lend to readers’ understanding of who they were and are. Overall, I enjoyed my time with Nova and Wolf and there are quite a few intriguing secondary characters who I wouldn’t mind reading about in future story lines.
4 Poison Apples
Dark, edgy, gritty and all kinds of MC goodness
I loved this book! I couldn’t decide if I liked Wolf or hated him, he’s definitely the bad guy in this story at first but he eventually won me over. Wolf is one of those characters as Nova finds out who let’s very view people see his vulnerable side and I loved the angsty journey between them
Nova is a strong independent woman and definitely a woman with backbone so when she finds her younger brother is in trouble with the local MC and they want to take his life she offers herself up to go with them herself, giving up her freedom and the independence she has had from a young age.
Bad for me is a slow-burn romance filled with twists, turns, danger and angst and most of all does eventually lead to a hea.
My first read by this author and I will definitely read more.
Bad for you is told in the first person, leads to a hea and is available in KU
I’ve become a fan of Ms. William’s after her Ward duet and ever since, I’m itching to read another one of her works. Then came, Bad For Me. It’s her newest stand alone, MC romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
What I loved about this book is that we have Nova; a fierce, broken heroine who is not afraid of the big bad Wolf, president of their local MC chapter. I loved her loyalty to her brother; to the point that she willingly offered her life in exchange for her brother’s. I loved the slow build up of romance between Nova and Wolf. I was kind of wondering how these two strong willed and hard headed characters will get together but the author flawlessly delivered the perfect set up for them to fall in love.
I would have liked if there was a little bit of Wolf’s POV in this book, since this story is told through Nova’s only. Also, that ending was kind of open ended for me and I really wish that meant another book from this world. I can never get enough of these vest wearing, motor cycle riding, alpha males. Loved it!
Let’s just say that the name/word Wolf will never mean the same to me. Every time I hear it I will think of Wolf, the leader, the president of the MC Lords of Chaos. As much as Wolf tried to portray himself as this scary, threatening brut, deep down you could see that there was still this side of him that was reasonable and good. Wolf’s past lead him to the life he has now. The memories of his past are what drive him to keep love in a distance but also keep a part of his humanity that many don’t get to see or experience unless he wants it to be seen. As the leader of his MC he has to be ruthless in order to be respected but also feared.
Nova has had her share of bad luck and an unthinkable upbringing. As the older sibling to her brother Silas, her one and only priority is to protect and provide for him. Love, that is out of the question. It was never something she experienced in her childhood and not something she is looking for now. The only person she loves is Silas. So when his life is threatened Nova doesn’t think she just reacts. Silas has gotten himself into a very bad situation and Nova has traded her freedom for his. As a prisoner of the Lords, Nova despises everyone and everything associated to the Lords. Her mission is to gain the trust of Wolf and then find a way to escape. However, for her survival, she needs to be claimed, and the one person she hates the most ends up being her savior.
Nova and Wolf’s battle of wills was a constant. What gained his attention was her feistiness and spunk. She didn’t care who Wolf was or about “his stupid club.” She was the first to not fear Wolf and challenged him in many ways. She got his attention and that pissed off many including himself. As much as Wolf wanted to keep his distance from Nova, it was just too hard. The more time they spent together the more they wanted each other. Neither Wolf nor Nova liked that very much. As truths started to unravel, Nova finally realized that Wolf wasn’t the one she should fear or despise but someone else she once trusted and cared for.
Shanora Williams wrote an incredible story that was filled with thrills, love, regret, hatred, lies and illusions. I was blown away with the twists and turns that this story took on and couldn’t put the book down. I started the book not being the biggest fan of Wolf, but in the end, I became one of his number one fans. Well done Shanora, well done!
When Nova’s brother’s life is threatened, she does what she thinks is best; she offers herself for him. In doing so, she finds herself the property of The Lords of Chaos MC. Even though she has had a rough upbringing, she was no way prepared for how The Lords do things. All she knows is that there is one sure way to get herself out of this, and that’s to get Wolf, the President, the claim her. But just when Nova thinks she has it all figured out, she finds out that things are not really what they seem. Will she be stuck as property or will she figure out how to gain her freedom?
So for me this started a bit slow, but when it picked up, it was a non-stop ride. With danger, violence, drama and add in some steamy parts this was a page turner. I give this 4.5 stars and am looking forward to more from this author.
Wolf and Nova!! The saying opposites attract is so true.
Wolf is a serious alpha male, the big boss of the MC crew yet he is not like the crew when it comes to women. He does not have a main woman, he does not flirt, the girls have all tried for his attention but he is not interested in claiming any of them as his.
Nova, an independent self-starter, works hard to support herself and her brother. Hoping to raise enough money to move out of the desert and away from that noisy motorcycle riding group of men.
Nova and Wolf cross each others path in some twisted unexpected events. Can two opposite remove negatives to fall in love?
The twists and turns of this well-written story will have you turning the pages.
