EmersonEveryone thinks they know who I am. I’m that reality TV star that fell in love with co-star Wesley Rich. But reality wasn’t my life. It was the life I lived in front of the cameras.A life designed to entertain millions of watchers each Monday night. It only took one night to relive my past, and one night to forget my future. With someone who had been there all along.LoganSoccer is my … had been there all along.
Logan
Soccer is my life—it’s in my blood.
I train hard, I play hard, and I win. Nothing will break my focus.
I should have been able to avoid it, resist the temptation. But it’s there, playing every Monday night, an obsession I can’t seem to shake.
And I don’t know what was harder: hiding it from my best friend, or watching the woman I want live a life with someone else.

What a read. Kat you have gone and done it again, another fantastic book. I was hooked from the get go and just couldn’t put it down, I started reading when my kids went to be and wasn’t able to stop till it was finished which was at 2am. I loved the 2 book references to J.L Perry’s Hooker and Bastard as well as to Mr Rebound. It was a very clever idea.
They say that there is a thin line between love and hate, well Emerson and Logan proved that. What started out as children playing pranks on each other to adults falling madly deeply in love.
This book had so much going on that you just wanted to turn page after page to see what was next to come.
I am really hopeing to get to see more of Em and Logan in the future and even more of Ash and Poppy. Please, please, please Kat write more on this story as I really, really, really loved reading about these characters and I am seriously dealing with a separation hangover.
There was nothing likable about any of the characters. They all seemed to be completely self absorbed and selfish and demeaning of each other.
Kicking Reality was one heck of a drama filled read! Emerson’s world is turned upside down when she finds out that her fiance and reality TV costar has been unfaithful to her. So she decides to go back to her hometown to escape all of the media drama and be with her family. Falling for her brothers best friend definitely was not in the plans. This book was jam packed full of all the angsty goodness, sadness, heartbreak, laughs, a hilarious twin brother & some seriously fabulous chemistry! I couldn’t put this book down & I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.
When I saw Kicking Reality hit my kindle I was super excited and couldn’t wait to dive in. I have previously loved Kats books so I was excited to see if this would be another book to rave about and to be honest I couldn’t rave about this book anymore it was beyond fantastic.
This book was so different and reality tv being so popular at the moment it was awesome to read, throw in some sports and you have a perfect story for me that’s for sure. I fell in love with the characters straight away their chemistry was burning up the pages and I was hooked from the start. This story had it all, a bit of a love triangle, triumphs in careers, the forbidden love, the secrecy it’s was just such a good book.
Emerson was such a good character and did everything she could to be successful like her twin brother, she had the love of a family and really a good heart. She made some life altering decisions but it was so good to see her grow throughout the book and be there with her to get her life back to what she used to have.
Logan he was a bit of a turd but he made me laugh. He was a successful soccer star and had been pretty much a member of the Chase family. Emerson and Logan would love to push each other’s buttons and drive each other up the wall. Logan could never really see what was in front of him (like most men) but when he got that push he was going to do anything to get the girl.
I laughed out loud, I was emotional and I got all the feels, add some angst and that is what kept me turning the pages I just needed to know what happened. This was such a fun and perfect read and loved everything about it.
A big big big 5 stars from me for this one. Thank you Kat for letting me read this one early.
This story blew my mind, I was shocked once again by this author and of course glued to the story. Some of the story I wanted to kick and scream at the characters and other parts I felt bad for them. By the ending I was shocked to my core once again and now I’m craving more after this cliffy of an ending I’m like why. IT seemed so really at points in the story that it was wonderful and really grabbed you. It had equal parts romantic and steamy and some parts that made you crave the steamy. It was very original that’s for sure, unpredictable and and easy to read come to mind when thinking of this story. I was very entertained from start to finish the characters really kept you coming back for more and more. I personally cannot wait to see what is next.
*** I received this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, this is all me, myself and I, I was in no way told what to say***
Loved this story. I started to read it on my way home from being on holiday, and jumped back in as soon as I could. Kicking Reality shows that sometimes what you want and need is right in front of you, but it can take years before you’re thrown into a situation that opens your eyes and makes you realise the truth. This book is definitely worth downloading, but ensure you have the time to read it all in one go because you won’t want to put it down
I’m pretty sure I will love any Kat T. Masen book out there. I feel like it’s impossible for me to not love her books! I could not put this book down, not unless I HAD to…go away needy kids, momma’s reading!! Ha!
It’s a little different being based around a reality tv star and what not. I loved Emerson and her sort of fiery, never backing down from a challenge type persona. She was fun, especially around Logan, and I freaking loved her relationship with Ash and Logan. That was a crazy, but fun trio of besties. I thought what Emerson had to deal with, in regards to filming and whatnot royally sucked, as did Wes. I kept thinking…wow! How unfair, but then again, contracts and yada yada yada, hollywood… okay yea I get it, still sucks though.
Anyways, I really loved when Logans POV pops in, I always love hearing the guys perception. Em and Logan’s “sudden” attraction to each other, after all the years of knowing each other, was fun to watch. Their back and forth banter via text and verbal sparring was hilarious and steamy. I mean they were both just sexy people together and apart. Their attraction is undeniable and they made me all giddy when they got together, plus it was just fun when they couldn’t really “have” each other at certain parts, you could literally cut their sexual tension with a knife.
Really cute, summer read. Lots of drama, and some pretty yummy scenes, plus the humor is spot on, I was cracking up at all the pranks and silliness in this book. Pretty sure I had a goofy grin on my face the entire time I read this. Can’t say enough about this author and this book. So much fun to read and I can’t wait to read more by Ms. Masen.

Kat Masen has proven she can create stories that have humor, chemistry and angst. And goodness knows we get that in spades with Logan and Emerson. I’m not sure this story could have worked if these two weren’t already known to each other, since Emerson is the sister to Logan’s best friend. I liked that we get to see the everyday side to those who are famous, the what happens when cameras aren’t rolling. I mean really, celebrities put their pants on like we do, only their pants might have been designed by Tom Ford or Gucci lol. Seeing the evolving feelings that Emerson is experiencing in regards to Logan was interesting; Logan has a way of bringing humor to the story. But the fun lies in waiting to see how their story will play, especially since Emerson just recently got engaged. Another winner from Ms. Masen!
