2019 RITA® WinnerI’d do anything for my best friend’s little sister. Until she asks for something I can’t give. One night. No rules.Georgina Kingsley is off-limits. It’s better this way, really. Her brother is my best friend and business partner, the closest thing I have to family. Plus, she’s engaged to another man, one better for her than I could ever be.But when Georgie is ditched on her … I could ever be.
But when Georgie is ditched on her wedding day, she needs someone to get her out of town. There’s bad blood between us but I’d do anything for her.
Except give her hot, rebound sex to get back at her cheating ex.
Tough choice. Loyalty to my best friend who has been more like a brother? Or to a woman with a history of driving me crazy and making me want things I have no right to ask for?
It’s a hell of a time to realize I’m in love.

Absolutely couldn’t put it down.
Malone takes a chaotically, whimsical look at love. James is the guy you warn your heart about. Georgie is the girl you marry. They shouldn’t fit, yet they so obviously do. Bad Blood gave me a chance to not only fall head over heart for a handful of new characters, but I also got a glimpse of King and Olivia from Bad King. Bad Blood is the road less traveled, finally making a way home.
Bride on the run
Georgie is about to marry a man she’s been with since college, but as the wedding draws near she starts panicking. In an attempt to quell her fears she goes to him…….and overheard something that changes the course of her life! Jamie helps her escape and they soon become more than friends, but is it enough?
I’ve never read anything by M. Malone but I’ve really been enjoying this series and thought I’d give it a go! The writing flowed, the characters had great chemistry and were well developed. I also really enjoyed the dynamics and backstory and definitely keen to read more about Georgie’s brother and Olivia
What a whirlwind romance! The choices Georgie and Jamie make creates a extem dramatic dramatized read, but leads to a happy ever after after issues are worked out. A very capativating story.
James and Georgie came from very different backgrounds. When he became friends with her brother King there was a connection, but Jamie ignored his feelings because you didn’t mess with your best friends sister. But when he helped her runaway from her wedding after she overheard her grooms hurtful words there was no going back to acquaintances once he got a taste of her. He was so patient and understanding when he left so she could find herself it made me love him. After his upbringing he sure rose above to become a heck of a man. Georgie proved to be a very strong character and finally got what she wanted. All in all a very good story with a happy ending.
Forbidden love
Fast, fun read. I like sassy characters who give as good as the get with the insults! It usually means chemistry off the charts! The series tells you that Georgie was supposed to be married but she’s the one who left, and not the one left at the altar. Jamie only came to the wedding because her brother is his best friend, not because he has a thing for her since forever ago.
She asks for one night with him that he gives her but you know it can’t and won’t end there. This is a shorter story but keeps moving from start to finish!
Bad Blood is sweet, sexy, and romantic!! I couldn’t put the book down. Jamie and Georgie’s chemistry is undeniable and addicting. What started out as a secret fling slowly turned to something more. I really enjoyed reading Bad Blood and I can’t wait to read what Minx will write next.
I voluntarily leave an honest review of this Advanced Readers Copy.
I enjoyed Georgie and Jamie’s story. It was a cute and fun best friend’s little sister romance. I liked the chemistry between the characters. Their bickering made me laugh.
I haven’t read any of the other books in this series but now I want to.
This was a fast read full of tension. I personally liked this book. The only thing that Jamie didn’t do to Georgie was pull her pigtails. Jamie and Georgie bicker and insult each. They made me laugh with their nonsense. Georgie is a lot of things sassy, immature, independent and smart. She is struggling to do things she wants because she feels she has to make everybody around her happy. Plus she has an overbearing brother she feels is overprotective. Jamie is smart, successful but has insecurity issues. He doesn’t feel he is good enough for Georgie. This was similar to other stories I have read, but I was okay with that. In my opinion this story is fun, flirty and entertaining. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy.
I really enjoyed this book about a jilted bride & the brother’s best friend. I liked both Georgie & Jamie’s characters & their unique relationship’s beginning.
This is a sexy quick read and the chemistry between the characters is instant and hot. I truly loved towards the end the way Georgia expressed herself and her feelings to Jaimie.

I’ve always loved the best friend’s little sister/older brother’s best friend stories. It is just a fact of life that most little sisters fall in love with their older brother’s best friend. So reading about Jamie and Georgie was fun. Jamie doesn’t think he’s good enough for Georgie. And she thinks that he sees her as just the annoying little sister. Little do they know they are both in love with the other but both are too afraid to say or do anything.
Until that fateful wedding day that didn’t happen. And so the next chapter begins, but it is still fraught with miscommunication on both sides. Will they ever figure things out and communicate with they really want?
Side note, it was good to see King and Olivia get married. Now what about Colin?
It opens on our heroine Georgie’s wedding day—and she is nervous. She knows it’s a mistake. More
I must say, the dread I felt! She ends up leaving the wedding with her brother’s best friend, Jamie. Both Jamie and Georgie have had feelings for each other forever, but never acted on them— because you can never get with your brother’s little sister!
Pluses: Really snappy writing and dialogue. Pacing was great, especially for a novella, you really can’t waste time, and this moves along nicely. Character work is good. Georgie is a great heroine, she knows herself and what she wants. Jamie is a good character, too. He trusts her judgment but also wants to protective her, and that mix felt real. He’s also achingly vulnerable in some ways, which I really liked a lot.
Wishes: This is very minor, but I really key into timeline continuity stuff. And I was distracted by some of this–Jamie says, “I have to leave” and then stays all night. People working all day on Thanksgiving. Walking into bedrooms at 6am. Just…keep that timeline straight.
Verdict: I enjoyed this a lot. I definitely recommend. One thing I LOVED is that the friendship between Jamie and King (the brother) is strong and King is a great friend to Jamie. This does not traffic in silly fights and machismo once the affair is discovered.

Great addition to the Left At The Alter series. These two were good together after the im no goid for you phase. Good read.
