So, the first book left me ruined and this book was my redemption. This book is Maryne’s revenge, and I love her for it. Rather than just “revenge, ruin, destroy,” she has a standard that she sticks to for bringing down the Idols and their circle. This is a world where old money and new rule everything, and she has to be smarter than them to bring them down. But she is, and it’s so entertaining to read.
Some people have issues with the main characters ages, whether they don’t think high school students would be doing this kind of thing, etc. I mean, I hate to break it to those people, but I knew kids who were up to these kind of antics in high school. Let’s be honest, it’s about entertainment and escape. And no, I don’t mean the entertainment in bullying, etc. No one is reading a bully romance, usually written from the viewpoint of the bullied, to sit there and laugh at what the bullies are doing to the main character. That’s just not how it works. Most people, unfortunately, have experienced some kind of bullying in their lives, from the odd occasion to the extreme instances. Books like this are about living vicariously through a main character who usually becomes a bad@5s (wishing that you’d done the same), watching the bullies fall (wishing that had happened to your bullies), or maybe even the belief in redemption of the main love interests (knowing a bully who maybe ended up not being such a jerk).
Marnye, as a character grows, in this book. She definitely finds herself, finds her voice, and stands tall, mainly remaining classy while she does it all. She’s bold and smart and patient. I’m so ridiculously impressed with how she works through all of this. There are some unexpected twists in this book with some of the characters. We get more glimpses into the lives of the Idol guys and what makes them who they are, but the whole story still isn’t there. And things start to get a little scary and dangerous in this book; Marnye starts to realise that maybe she’s underestimated what some of the bullies are capable of.
I loved the first book, but this book has been my addiction. I think I’ve read through it four times since it came out. It’s ridiculously good. It broke my book hangover (the first time that hair of the dog has actually worked for me), and I’m still dying to know what’s going to happen next.
This is book two in the Rich Boys of Burberry Prep series and starts with year two at the prestigious academy.
Maryne is still the scolorship student. Tristan, Zayd and Creed are still the idols, but she’s having to start over. Bridges need mending and or building, and allys need rounding up, all whilst exacting her revenge on those who wronged her.
Don’t get me wrong its exciting and fascinating at the same time, but some of the dares and pranks fall a little flat in places. Been there, done that, had the tshirt kind of thing, but nevertheless I still really enjoyed this.
The addition of the prince livened things up no end, he’s a character thats for sure! His speech did sometimes feel older than his actually years though.
All in all a good continuation to the story.
Stories like Bad, Bad Bluebloods are not for everyone. Mainly because you have to be willing to suspend what you would do or how you believe a character should be. I won’t give too much away, but you have a girl who is tormented by a bunch of elitist kids who get what they want and rarely have to be held accountable for it. Though is that completely true? Everyone, even the ones who seem to have it all, have things missing that cause them to act the way they do. The whole you never know what someone is going through thing. Plus you have to factor in guilt about what you do and forgiving those who do things to you.
Don’t think for a second I’m condoning the behaviors. But in a book world its pretty fascinating to watch.
What I think CM Stunich does well is she delves into the indecision and the emotional aspects because none of it is a straight line or totally black and white. There are so many shades of grey and curves in what happens with these characters and the decisions and action they take.
So, I find this series full of layers and maybe its a little like a train wreck you can’t help but watch.
Bottom line is CM Stunich is a good storyteller.
I am obsessed with this series so far! Holy cow! So much craziness! I love the dynamic of every one of the characters! The pranks get harsher, more serious and dangerous. I’m so excited for what’s to come!
4.5 Stars
I was hoping that Marnye makes the bullies pay for all they have done, and man did she deliver!
It was really great to see Marnye finally grabbing the bull by the horns and finally get back at the ones that have wronged her. Some got off easier that I would have liked, but for the most part Marnye was thorough with her revenge. She was so wicked and I loved every second of it! At some parts I almost felt like she took it a bit too far and felt a momentary pity for the boys but then I remembered what they did and was happy to see them get the taste of their own medicine. Good job, Marnye!
However, the boy I felt most sorry for is Zack. While he has done a lot of things that were beyond awful and I cannot blame Marnye for taking revenge on him, he is also the one that stuck by her and helped out with her dad as well. It is obvious that he feels very remorseful for everything that he put Marnye through and I think that he is the one person who deserves Marnye’s forgiveness the most because he really worked hard to deserve it.
I must say though that one part of her revenge was a bit unoriginal; basically making the same bet that the boys made in the first book. Was hoping for something new and fresh, not some used up plot.
Another thing that irked me was when Marnye said she she is not sure that Miranda can be trusted. Like what the hell? Please remind me who betrayed who in the first book, because if my memory serves me right, it is you who has sold out Miranda for a bet. So really, it should be Miranda who should not trust you and not the other way around.
Also, how is tiramisu a fancy dessert? And what kind of tiramisu did Marnye eat that her dad had to work two weekend jobs in order to afford it?
We are also introduced to the fifth boy, prince Windsor, and he is truly a special snowflake. Really love how he has Marnye’s back from day one.
Overall, I cannot wait to see what happens next. I am eating this shit up, all the drama and the sexual tension. And what happened in the hot tub? So damn hot!
Second year of high school is going to be a wake up call for the Idols. Marnye is back and has a list. Things will take a turn. Are you ready for a fight? #teamMarnye #revenge #killthemwithkidness
This is the second book in this series. Yes you need to read the first one before you read this one. This is a very interesting series. I didn’t think that I would be interested in reading this series but I absolutely fell in love with the main character in this series. Marnye is a common person. She does not come from a rich family. This is her second year at a school for the rich. Where she is not wanted because of how smart she is and because she doesnt fit in there. But she doesn’t take it laying down. She fights and fights hard for her place there. Her biggest issue is fighting against three of the elite Tristan, Zayd and Creed. Three boys that she is falling for each in her own way. But these three are the ones that want her out. But is that really what is going on with them? I absolutely loved this book. It is a great series that will grab your attention and have you wanting more. I cant wait to read the next one to see what is going to happen with Marnye. Is she going to make it 4 years at this school? Interesting, well written, page turner that will grab your attention.
Maryne is back and she’s not playing around. I’m totally hooked on this series.
Wow! So, i’m hooked.
Well, Damn!
This was a roller-coaster of a read! Didn’t know what was going to happen, or how it was all heading!?! Like, Hot-Damn, these chicks were not messing around at all!?! I was not disappointed! On to the next! #HappyReading
HOLY MOTHER OF BOOK LOVERS!
I LOVED THIS BOOK! This series just keeps getting better. I am freakin out right now. The suspense was so intense I’m kind of shaking. Lol. Marnye most definitely got some payback. She was kickin ass and taking names. A couple of times I started to get alittle pissed because I thought she was giving in to the three Idols Tristan, Zayd and Creed. Out of all three I think she hurt Zayd the most. He lost more than any of them. I’m sorry but I’ll never trust Tristan no matter what. I hate that guy!. Zack has been redeemed in my eyes. I think he has proven he is truly sorry and remorseful of what he did to Marnye though what he and Lizzie did was horrendous. I think he has truly learned his lesson. Now Windsor York, I BLOODY LOVE THAT WANKER!!! Lol! He is always in the right place at the right time when it comes to Marnye. He is a breath of fresh air. I can’t even imagine what could happen next. Creed, I’m not quite sure how I feel about him yet. I know he really hated Marnye in the first book but I think he’s starting to have true feelings for her. Unless it’s just a ploy to get beck in his sister Miranda’s good graces. I just hope above anything else that Harper and her psycho bitch patrol get taken out. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO EVERYONE
If you thought the first book had you hooked…well guess again. This one just gave you some serious stuff to think about and not to mention not only 3 but 5 guys vying for her now. So many twists and turns but you got to love it. Now I can’t wait to see what happens in book 3. Most definitely give it 5 stars
You know how when you want something, and then you find it, and you say what the hell did I ask for? Well, this is the Rich Boys of Burberry Prep. I have wanted a real bully romance, and that is precisely what you get in these stories. The boys are mean, rich, and take no prisoners. And anyone that gets in their way better watch out.
I am so excited to read book 3!
HOLLY SMOKES WHO SAYS REVENGE IS NOT SWEET !!!
Overall: emotional, drama, bullying, and unexpected ending
The girl has a choice between five boys Tristan Zayd Creed Zack and Windsor.
whom she chooses later we can find out in other books.
Thank you C.M. Stunich!
Rich Boys of Burberry Prep wins the award for best bully romance! The intensity of the story and the journey it takes you on it incredible. The connection between characters and readers is so thick, you feel every emotion throughout this very tough journey.
Roll out the red carpet and light up the stage! Marnye has won the medal of honor for surviving and fighting back on those that thought she would be an easy target.
Marnye had one hell of a second year, to put it mildly. If the first year was bad, this one is much worse. Gotta give it to the girl for knowing how to stand up for herself. She is by far the best female protagonist I have encountered as of yet! She knows when to take her punches and when to give it back.
This is a journey worth taking.
Tristan, Zayd, Creed, Zack, and Windsor. “We couldn’t agree on who should come over and talk to you,” Tristan begins, glancing back at the other four. “So, unfortunately, we all fucking showed up.”
Marnye came back full force! There’s something about this series, I’m lapping it up! So good.
This chapter of Burberry Academy is even more intense then the last. The girls are on a kicker and I can’t wait for the day when karma gets them! Im still trying to decide what’s going on the with Idol men and if I like them or not!
Bad, Bad Bluebloods: A High School Bully Romance (Rich Boys of Burberry Prep Book 2)Kindle Edition
by C.M. Stunich
I borrowed this book via the Kindle Unlimited program and am voluntarily leaving a fair and honest review.
Marnye Reed returns to Burberry Prep with a single thing on her mind: sweet and wicked revenge on the Idols and Blue Bloods who tried to destroy her last year. She has rules and she has plans – they won’t know what hit them!
This is the second book in the ultimate enemies to lovers story! The evil boys turn out to be a bunch of broken boys, but that doesn’t stop Marnye from enacting her plans. And when Windsor Scott (the actual last name of QE2’s kids), a Prince offers his help, things go even better.
I really love the characters in Ms. Stunich’s books. The manner in which she builds them, slowly with glimpses and pieces, is well done. You can’t help but fall in love with the same boys you hated!
The female villains don’t quite get the same treatment. They are cut outs of every mean girl you knew in high school. I’d like a little more fleshing out of why they are the queen bees from hell.
Marnye is the most level headed, strong and driven character I’ve meant in a long time. She knows where she needs to go and what it takes to get there. She may come from the wrong side of the track but she isn’t ashamed of who she is.
I’m still hooked on this series and can’t wait for book 3…
Four stars out of five.

Absolutely fantastic
Holy s#!t what a freaking ride.
Bad, Bad, Bluebloods is one angsty read that had on the edge and there were definitely some moments that had me laughing out loud.
I stayed up all night, I absolutely had to see Maryne get her revenge! and damn was it good!
I cannot wait to see how all five guys go learning to play nice with each other and kept Maryne protected from the girls.
