What Revenge Reveals
I am caught in the web of this story, not my typical choice for reading since despite this not being necessarily a YA, as this series does contain drug mentions, alcohol use. I would still not quite categorize in a romance maybe as the series continues it will be.
In this book we have our heroine standing up for herself and finding ways to play the survival of HS better than her Bullies, while also relizing feelings are running deeper than she and them would like to admit.
Revenge has never been so sweet and I really love how Maryne gained her power even if the bullying didn’t stop, she didn’t fall either. Enjoyed this book far more than the first one since I wasn’t pulling out my hair and screaming at her for being so naive. In the end, I finished this book and went directly into book three because I couldn’t not wait to see what happened next.
I’m so anxious to see where this goes. Marnye is such a strong resilient woman who takes the crummy hand she’s given in life and is turning it on its head. Each man introduced is intriguing. The world building is fantastic and the problems draw you in and leave you hanging on until the last word.
I have extreme mixed feelings about this book. I want to rate it at three stars because of content, but once I sat with it a bit I realized I am truly addicted to the story and I really do want to know what happens next; I can’t deny the excitement of the story or the questions I want answered. I rated it at four stars.
I very much disliked Marnye in this book. I think she lost a bit of my respect for her with some of the choices she made. And I think she tried to justify them in a way that was untrue; she was purely self serving in her actions.
I was a bit bored as there was very little interaction between the four main characters (Marnye and the three boys). This book did have the tension or passion a the first did because of that.
Slight spoiler: this was almost exactly book one with the roles reversed. I am thinking about book three, but as this story didn’t “light my fire” they way book one did, I might wait to move on.

Wow! Book 2 in this series is a exciting read. C.M. did an amazing job with the storyline in this book. Marnye comes back to school with a plan. She wants revenge, but she has rules. Marnye doesn’t want to be like them. Only she doesn’t realise that revenge is going to be harder than she thought.
I recommend this book/series!

Not what I expected but still looking forward to the next book!!!
So where do I begin, so I liked this book but there are a few things that bothered me about this story. I also get properly that it’s not a book for everyone and I get that. One thing for sure that got under my skin was Marnye dad his behavior was totally inexplicable. I know for a fact if what happened to her, happened to me my dad would have definitely put hands or gone hulk on someones for humiliating me the way the idols did. But Marnye dad did nothing he didn’t contact the school to demand to know how they were going to handle or fix the situation. Doesn’t ask Marnye to explain why her fellow classmates assaulted her or force her to leave the school. So I asked myself what kind of parent is he??? Also Marnye ‘s attitude towards Miranda kinda annoyed me. It was because of Marnye literally outed her so called bestie, causing her to get homophobic bullying. Poor Miranda didn’t deserved that all she ever did was be a good friend to Marnye. And yet all Marnye could do was make excuses for her actions, she really didn’t officially apologize to Miranda but had the nerve to say she won’t trust Miranda. Miranda was way too forgiving of Marnye. What happened to the Revenge?? I was expecting blood-shed and what I got was tame in comparison. Marnye had some great ideas for executing her revenge but ultimately it was enough if you asked me. It wasn’t justice for all the pain and humiliation she experience at the hands of idols. All she seem to manage was to piss off Tristan dad expose drama in the idols ranks and cut the hair of two of the means girls in the crew. I wanted emotional destruction them begging for mercy them getting humiliation. But no we didn’t get that. So I’m kinda confused on what we got. We did however got the mean girls almost killing Marnye. What surprise me the most was how everything got swept under the rug and the girls didn’t get punish for there actions. Overall I guess it was enjoyable and entertaining read to a certain degree but I really wanted to read a revenge story. Instead all I got was a hormonal Marnye who forgave her tormentors way too easily and round up falling for them again.
Omg this book I couldn’t wait too read and holy shit I wasn’t disappointed at all. I couldn’t wait too start reading to see how exactly Marnye was going too get her revenge. It was everything and more. I absolutely love the addition of Windsor. This is definitely a series you will want too read. The story is amazing the characters you will love and you will want the next book ASAP because I know I do. Another brilliant 5 star read by CM that everyone needs too read.
This series gets better and better. It gets more intense and edgy and as the story progresses, you’ll find yourself hooked, lined and sinker!
