Bah-humbug!This Christmas, all I wanted was to wallow in self-pity until the woman I thought was the love of my life could explain why she left me at the altar. Instead, my buddy, Zach forced holiday merriment on me. I thought it was going to be a tinsel-laced nightmare… until his sister, Alexa, showed up. Turns out, she grew up into a gorgeous present I was insanely tempted to unwrap. Lucky … unwrap. Lucky for me, she shared my desire to meet under the metaphorical mistletoe… and let things heat up from there.
For the first time in months, Laura, my ex, wasn’t haunting my thoughts like the Ghost of Christmas Past. Which, of course, is exactly why she had to pick that moment to call and say she wanted to talk. I could only hope St. Nick had a playbook in his sleigh because things were about to get complicated.
From author S.L. Sterling comes a sizzling holiday romance hot enough to roast your chestnuts!

Beautiful setting and wonderful storyline. This had my attention from the beginning with heartbreak and loneliness to delve further into the love of family, friendship and finding that someone who is meant to be your everything. The storyline and characters were well developed, as you could picture in your mind the backdrop of the season. Nice happy ending for all the main characters involved.

Drew and Lexi have secretly liked each other for years. But being his best friend’s sister, Lexi is totally off limits. Both Lexi and Drew have had a tough year and gravitate towards each other and strengthen their friendship. What happens when things take a romantic turn? Will Lexi forgive Drew for his uncertainness about them? Loved it!!
I really enjoyed this book. Drew and Alexa were so good together. Both had some major’s issues going on with their lives – Drew was left at the altar by his girlfriend of 15 years and Alexa was dumped and fired by her boss/boyfriend. They both are now at home basically licking their wounds. The more they are together; they start to develop feelings for each other. Will they be able to overlook their issues with past relationships and work their way to a HEA?

I love Christmas stories and this book was really good. I could not get enough of these two. I wanted this book to go on forever. Great chemistry and characters.
4.5 Stars. Holiday books are not usually my type of favorite reads. Why? No clue. Neither are those Hallmark movies. Yes I know, hang me up now lol. But with that said, I may have to give holiday books a second look.
From Ms. Sterling comes Drew and ‘s book . We meet Drew after he’s been dumped. And in grand fashion I might add…at the ALTER! Ouch right. Well he’s sorta more broken up about the expense heheh. The sad thing is she’s not the only woman to have ever left him. ( read the book and you’ll see). Lexi has no such excuse. She’s running just the same anyway.
These two will make you scream with frustration (I maaay have yelled at my kindle a time or twelve.) You’ll laugh at their antics and celebrate when they finally get their heads out of their own a##s!.
What a wonderful Christmas story this book is. It’s not a big book but it was still very enjoyable and had everything included in it that you want to see. The storyline was enjoyable and easy to read. I loved the characters and how the story unfolded. A brilliant Christmas story.
Drew and Alexa’s story is a sweet and beautiful friends-to-lovers holiday romance.
Highly recommend to anyone who loves a sweet romance.
A Christmas story with a friends-to-lovers trope? I’m in! It was hard not to feel cozy watching Lexi and Drew fall back into sync with each other. I felt like I was one of the family baking with Barbara in the kitchen, or skiing with Drew and Zach. I love the peaceful feeling of the season, but loved the secret rendezvous. I felt for Lexi, and kinda thought Drew was a jerk for a bit, but he redeemed himself.
Brother’s best friend is one of my favorite tropes and this one was absolutely wonderful! Alexa has had a crush on Drew for years. Drew has been left at the alter with no idea why. He goes with his best friend, Zach, back home for Christmas and sees Alexa again for the first time in years. They have immediate chemistry and start spending time together. Their story is full of intense chemistry, shared memories, love, steam, drama and a beautiful HEA. I have only read 2 of S.L. Sterling’s books but I am completely hooked! I was immediately drawn into Drew and Lexi’s story and couldn’t put it down.
Excellent holiday read. Lots of emotional drama supporting a very romantic story with interesting characters and fantastic setting. Will keep you turning the pages until the last one.
ONE OUTSTANDING ADVENTURE!!!
Crap on toast! Sterling breaks the chain, charters the course and conquers the passage. Imparting well rounded scenario’s, ramping up the excitement and adrenaline with such intensity and skill, melding this gem together flawlessly. Seducing a god, rending the rules, propelling this baby into the eye of the storm, breaking it down, throwing it into a tailspin with staggering impacts. The chemistry is intense, sizzling and palpable. The personalities are well matched and blended. The characters and scenes are written with such realism and depth it makes for one outstanding experience. Remarkable job Sterling, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
Beautiful Christmas story it would be amazing if it became a hallmark movie.
Being left at the altar left Drew with deep scars that time has not healed.
He returns for Christmas to the one place he had considered home, his best friend’s house.
After many years without seeing each other Alexa has returned home to find he childhood crush was spending the holidays with her family.
This is a lovely story about love, finding yourself, and starting over.
Lexi returns to her hometown, feeling lost and unsure about the direction her life has taken. She hasn’t seen her parents or brother Levi in a while, but she wasn’t expecting to also see Drew, Levi’s best friend, who was jilted at the altar six months prior. She’s always had a crush on Drew, and now that she’s all grown up Drew can’t help but notice her as well. They finally give in to their feelings but what happens when Drew’s ex unexpectedly comes back? This was a good, holiday read. Looking forward to reading more from this author!
Such a sweet Christmas story! Drew has had some major stumbles in his past and Alexa isn’t much better but in a different way but when they are spending the holidays together with her family sparks fly galore! Perfect little holiday romance

This is a quick read holiday book that’s reminiscent of a Hallmark movie. Alexa and Drew grew up together as Drew was her brothers best friend. Fast forward to the present and they are both at a crossroad in their life for different reasons and their paths cross again. Enjoyable story to curl up in front of fire with on a cold winters day.
My first read by the author and it did not disappoint. I loved the simplicity of the storyline, two characters that has had their heart broken finds an unexpected second chance for love right under their nose. Zach and Alexa sizzles as they reconnect and maybe it’s the setting but close proximity makes for a great reason to find each other and see what the have been missing. Enjoyable storyline, great characters and heat level makes this a must read for a holiday romance read.
Drew and Alexa will have you wanting to give them hugs. Both are candidates of betrayal by their significant others. Drew was left at the altar after being in a relationship for fifteen years and Alexa was not only dropped by her boyfriend but fired as well. They have known each other since they were kids growing up. She always had a crush on Drew but he only saw her as a kid sister who hung out with her brother. Now they are home together for the holidays and feelings are igniting between them. Can this be the start of a real relationship with a happily ever after for the both of them?

A very nice winter romance. This was a very enjoyable novel with really well-developed characters. The main characters had their own demons to overcome, particularly Drew who was rejected by women one too many times. Lexi, a lonely photographer wants the security of her family to feel connected again. They are thrown together at Christmas after many years of not seeing one another. Lexi however, had blossomed from an out of reach cute teenager into a beautiful, woman. Drew is practically part of the family, as best friend to her brother and her parents providing a refuge for the abandoned young Drew all those years ago. Lexi gives into the crush she had on Drew since she was a teenager. They are very good friends but will their relationship change as a result of their intimacy? Yes, there is a definite difference in the way they behave around one another, particularly Drew is affected by conflicting emotions. Although their attraction is undeniable, the author very skillfully takes and describes the heroes’ fear of losing their friendship if their new-found balance doesn’t work out. The book tells the story of two lonely people, who need to navigate through their own fears of relationships. Insecurities and lack of communication are always largely responsible for relationship breakdowns and our couple nearly suffer the same fate. At the 11th hour, Drew pulls out all stops to prove his feelings for Lexi. The reader can enjoy a lovely HEA which makes this a lovely feel-good book. The storyline and dialogues are consistent and intelligent, the connection between the different characters is warm, close and very well described.

Back To You This Christmas ARC Review
From the gorgeous book cover to the wonderful story telling by S.L. Sterling this is a must read this holiday season. Also if you love all those romantic Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel this is like that but very mature Nothing like a hot, steamy romance to get you into the Christmas spirit.
Alexa is lonely abroad. After some complications and her losing her job she is ready to pack up and head home to see her family for Christmas and possibly stay. For Alexa her life is seeming so unclear. Drew is being sent on vacation by his boss and after his best friend Zach invites him to go home with him for the holidays what choice does he really have. Being left at the alter with no answers has just been brewing over his failed relationship and the money he lost for a wedding that didn’t end in marriage for him. Once he lays his eyes on Alexa the attraction between the two is clear but is it the best idea to hook up with his best friends sister and in the home with the people he considers family around?
Such a good steamy holiday romance leaving you warm and happy.
This book was so good!! Alexa has been working as a photographer in Europe and misses home, so she decides to come home for Christmas. Drew was jilted at the alter, and decides to take his friend Zach up on his offer to go home with him for the holidays. Alexa has always had a crush on him. Alexa and Drew are amazing together and their chemistry was palpable! This book is the perfect holiday feel good story, it’s sweet, heartwarming and romantic. A fantastic read I highly recommend it!
