This book is fanbloodytastic story written by the fabulous author Kimberley it’s fun and engaging one of the best books in romance that I have ever read really recommended
Omg! My heart had a total workout with these two. I’m usually not a fan of second chance romances when exes get back together because I worry that what broke them up can’t be overcome or forgiven to give them a second chance at love together but Charlie and Parker totally made it work. Kimberly Kincaid wrote a beautiful story about how and why their marriage broke up and their road back together was so wonderful to read. So many emotions found in this love story. My heart was breaking and healing right along with these two characters. Charlie was such a strong woman and Parker’s dedication in trying to prove that he won’t give up on her again? Total sigh worthy. And let’s not forget the smoking hot chemistry. I loved every moment of this story.
I loved this first book in Kimberly Kincaid’s new Remington Medical contemporary romance series. It’s brimming with deep emotion, complex relationships, and steamy romance, all set within the controlled chaos of the Remington Medical Emergency Department. Kincaid pulled me into the story from the first pages and held me spellbound until the very end. If you’re a fan of shows like Grey’s Anatomy, if you enjoy second-chances, both in life and love, if you want your books to snap, sizzle and introduce you to intriguing characters who will take you on an emotional journey, then I highly recommend Kimberly Kincaid’s Back to You.
Great Story!!
I started reading and didn’t want to stop!
Parker and Charlie are simply perfect for each other!
Starts off a little slow (for them) to ease them back into each other’s presence. And of course sparks start flying that they decide not to ignore!
The ensuing drama of them having to figure out life outside their romantic bubble is so fun!!
I don’t normally read medical books because I work in the medical field and find that the “medical” stuff isn’t very accurate which takes away from the story for me. This book was an exception, the medical aspects were accurately described and the terminology was correct. I loved Parker and Charlie’s story. I loved the chemistry between them and the obstacles they endured were realistic. This was my first book by Kimberly Kincaid but certainly not my last.
We met Parker Drake in a different book as a Paramedic and he comes back in “Back To You” by Kimberly Kincaid as a Dr. He also is being mentored as an intern by his ex-wife Charleston who is a surgeon. He never stopped loving her and with them working together they are finding that the love is still there. Very HOT steamy romance.
Big confession here: I’ve never watched Grey’s Anatomy. However, I was a big ER fan back in the day, and I hung on every word those characters spoke, and my heart broke for Carol over and over and I loved Doug—who didn’t? Anyway, my point? Kimberly Kincaid’s Back To You is the beginning of a fast-paced, steamy new series set in a busy hospital.
Ms. Kincaid writes characters who are easy to love and cheer for, steam that can melt your Kindle, and damned if she doesn’t write brilliant emergency medical scenes, too! Looking forward to reading the next installment!
This is a great second chance romance.
This medical romance is a little bit different from the normal second chances.
Parker has two second chances in front of him.
Charlie does not want to relive the past. When she is tested by be responsible for her irresponsible ex husband things get complicated.
Professional behavior is being tested and so are the halls of the hospital
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
How could something so right, so wonderful, go so wrong in the blink of an eye? That is what happened to Charleston Becker and Parker Drake 6 years ago. The trajectory of their love affair shot straight up to marriage and pregnancy when it tragically crashed to the ground. Now all those years later, can Charlie and Parker work together at Remington Memorial?
I was riveted to this second-chance love story – I could not put this book down. Ms. Kincaid is a master at evoking all the best emotions from her characters that leave her readers with all “the feels.” And this kick-off to her Remington Medical series is no different. From the hectic pace of a major urban hospital’s emergency room to those quiet moments of a character’s internal struggle, we are invested in the journey that Charlie and Parker are traveling to their HEA.
There is also the “other” second chance here – Parker’s attempt to successfully finish his residency and achieve his MD. We have a glimpse of Parker the EMT in Ms. Kincaid’s Station Seventeen series; the interconnection with the other series set in Remington is terrific. I hope to see some of my Station Seventeen/Rescue Squad favorites in this series. Not to mention our new batch of doctors and staff (Connor. Now there’s a story to be told…) that I was smitten with. I am ready for my next trip to the ER!
I loved this book, romance with a HEA mixed with medical and I love books wheee you get to read all the main characters stories in another book!!
“Back to You” is the first book in the Remington Medical series and if this book is any indication this series is off to a fantastic start. Parker Drake and Charleston “Charlie” Becker have a history, but that was six long years ago. Now Charlie is a successful surgeon and Parker has one more chance to become the doctor that he wants to be. But it looks like his ex who never wanted to see him again will now be his boss. Sparks will fly in more ways than one.
This is a great book with lots of interesting characters and set at a hospital in North Carolina. As usual Kimberly Kincaid has a way of writing that makes you feel as if you know her characters personally. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!!
This is the story of Parker & Charleston. This is the first book in this series. After falling in love on sight, they marry. She has a miscarriage and he leaves. She returns to Remington Hospital ED to cover for her best friend, Tess, for 10 weeks while she is on maternity leave. She originally did her internship in Remington, while he had left. Due to circumstances, he realizes that he really wants to become a doctor and he was accepted as an intern for a second time six years later. They meet again. She is an attending and he is an intern. They are still attracted to each other, and both are trying to keep things professional due to their jobs. It is intriguing to see how things go along with the anticipation of what is going to happen. I loved this story. Can’t wait to read the second book.
Sometimes when you start reading a book you know you are going to love it! This was definitely the case with Back to You. If you have read the Station Seventeen series you will have already met Parker. This is Parker and Charlie’s story and it doesn’t disappoint. Just loved their whole story. I’m excited to read the next one in this series!
This is the first book that I have read by Kimberly Kincaid and I loved it. I could not put it down. Kimberly Kincaid is a great storyteller with hot characters. Could not put the book down. Back to You takes placed at the Remington Medical Center, which intrigued me since my daughter is a fourth year medical student. Back to You is the story of Parker Draker and Charleston “Charlie” Becker. Parker is a hot former EMT who is returning to Remington after a six year hiatus to complete his residency. There are so many conditions to this reinstatement, but most importantly he cannot be a hot shot, he has to play by the rules. On day one, Parker is late, because he carries a bicyclist several blocks after being hit by a motorist. Parker gets there only to realize his ex-wife, Charleston Becker is taking over for her best friend, Tess Michaelson, in the Emergency Department while Tess is out on maternity leave. Charlie is using her vacation time at Nashville Gen as a trauma surgeon, where she ran to after the break up with Parker. They each vow to be able to work with each other, but Charlie is still angry with Parker for disappearing six years ago and serving her divorce papers. Charlie is very cold toward Parker. Parker is is doing his job and trying not to be a hot shot, even when a major trauma occurs, he has to show his skills. As Parker rotates with the various doctors on staff, only to realize that he is still in love with Charlie and his feelings for her rekindle. Charlie agrees to a relationship with Parker on the condition that they must keep their relationship secret. Parker and Charlie talk about the events from six years ago and how their lives have changed. As they were planning to approach the Chief of Staff about their relationship, he discovers their relationship and offers Parker an ultimatum. What will Parker do? I loved the characters. It would such a hot story. I could not put it down. The romance has the pages sizzling. So glad that I had Better Than Me, book two in the series to look forward to.
I love the 2nd chance trope & this one did not disappoint. Kimberly Kincaid did a great job with giving us both the present day when Parker was a med student again & his ex-wife being his boss at the hospital where he is doing his residency training & giving us their past as well. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel with having the main characters being a divorced couple but I was hooked. I enjoyed seeing them reconnect & learning to trust & respect each other again.
First-Rate Romance! Exciting, romantic, angstsy and great world building is all a part of this engaging story. Parker is fun, likes to go with his gut and swings by the seat of his pants. Charlie is a logical, think things through kinda girl. And they are awesome together. I also really enjoyed the interactions of all the people at Remington Memorial and look forward to getting to know them better in this new series.
So good I had to buy the next book I the series in the series!
Enjoyed this second chance romance.
I really enjoyed this book! It was a unique storyline and I truly loved getting to know all of the characters.
