Back to You is the first book in the Remington Medical series from Kimberly Kincaid. It is a spinoff series from her Station Seventeen series. Back to You is a second chance romance and I absolutely fell in love with this story from the very first page.
Charleston “Charlie” Becker has come back to Remington Memorial Hospital after six years away to help out her best friend Tess Michaelson while she goes on maternity leave. Charlie left Remington Memorial after her marriage to Parker Drake ended their first year as interns. The only person she hopes not to see while back in North Carolina is of course one of the first people she sees on her first day back on the job. Not only will Charlie have to see Parker while she is in town, he is back in the intern program to finally become a doctor, and she will be his boss when he works with her on her.
I loved everything about Charlie and Parker in this book! They had amazing chemistry but were also extremely snarky with one another. Everything they had gone through together in their past absolutely broke my heart. Seriously this book had me laughing out loud at time and crying my eyes out at other times. I loved that neither Charlie nor Parker had ever really stopped loving each other. Yes they hurt each other badly 6 years ago, but there was still love underneath it all. When they finally gave into their attraction, my kindle screen totally steamed up and I loved they couldn’t stay away from each other.
This second chance romance had everything I look for in that troupe. Super sexy chemistry, major emotional moments, and the satisfying reunion I wanted from the very first page. I’m a huge fan of Kimberly Kincaid and have to say Charlie and Parker are my new favorite couple from her. I loved every moment of Back to You and can’t wait to see where she takes us next with the Remington Medical series.

I loved this! Once I started reading I did NOT want to put this book down. This is a second chance story and a workplace romance. It’s emotional, it’s sexy, it’s perfect!
Six years ago Charlie and Parker were interns at Remington Memorial. They fell in love, got married and then everything fell apart. Parker left and they hadn’t seen each since. Now Parker has returned to finish his internship on the same day Charlie returns to fill in for a friend.
Charlie is a smart, sassy heroine and Parker is a super hot hero with a huge heart. These two had amazing chemistry but their relationship was so much more than just their crazy attraction (which seriously was intense!). As they reconnected I loved seeing their trust and respect for each other grow.
I really loved the hospital setting and all the secondary characters. I am so excited for this new series and I can’t wait for more stories about the Remington Memorial doctors!
This book was part of Long, Hot Summer a free limited edition anthology that is no longer available. As each of the books included are already released, I’m going to review them individually.
ER Attending Physician Tess Michaelson is about to go on maternity leave. Her best friend and prominent surgeon Charleston Becker will be covering for her ten weeks of leave. Charleston surprised her bosses in Nashville when she took all of her accrued vacation time to do this favor for her friend. Charleston never thought to step foot back into Remington Med once she transferred to Nashville during her internship. Hopefully the memories of her pregnancy, marriage, miscarriage and divorce won’t sneak up on her.
After spending the last five years as an EMT/Paramedic at Station 17 Parker Drake is going to finally fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor. Getting this internship wasn’t easy because of the way he left one six and a half years ago. He’s more determined than ever to succeed this time.
The last thing Charleston and Parker expected was to meet up again, their last meeting was painful for them both. Now he’s going to have to work with Charleston, keep everything professional and follow all the rules. This is his only chance at the future he wants.
Parker’s already had warning from Dr. Langston, the Chief of Staff that he’d better follow all the rules or he’d be out of the program. Now he’s knows he has to work with his ex-wife and prove himself worthy of this internship. She clearly expects him to quit when the going gets tough.
Plenty of real life ER situations as well as a disaster to wade through as Charleston and Parker not only come to terms with their past but also start over. Lots of Sizzle in this book too and some interesting hints on the rest of the series.
I was going to start with Station 17 Series but now I think I’ll finish this one first.
I read this book as part of the Long, Hot Summer anthology. Charlie and Parker’s second chance romance was almost derailed by the chief of staff. Luckily, Parker didn’t walk away angry this time. He stayed and fought for their HEA.
So much love for Back To You!!
I forgot how much I LOVE Kimberly Kincaid’s writing, and being back with the folx from Remington, NC!!
I love the fast pace of Kimberly’s writing, the sweet scenes where the main characters come to grips with mistakes made in the past, and the side characters in each of her books!
Charleston and Parker are amazing together, even at the beginning when Charlie was busy hating him, and Parker was busy worrying over whether Charlie & Tess might cost him his job. I love Tess and Charlie’s friendship, how each pushes the other to keep being honest no matter how much their emotions might scare them, and how fiercely protective they are of each other.
The interns, mixed with the WOW factor of really huge medical emergencies and some treatments I’d never even heard of (jeez, an OI??) kept me turning pages as fast as I could, and when Parker and Charlie finally got down to some very sexy business it was so sweet I almost swooned!
The ending was perfection, and I’m SO EXCITED to move on to Jonah and Natalie’s story! 5 HUGE STARS for Kimberly Kincaid’s hospital love story, I think I’m going to be spending a lot of time in Remington Med in the next few weeks!
I really enjoyed this book because it was a different type of romance and setting. The story was believable and interesting.
I love all things medical and wrapped up in a romance story is top notch! I must say not into steamy sex so flipped a number of pages without reading but loved the storyline!
Enjoyed this book. Characters were real. Had some exciting action. Also some steam. Very good read.
Not much
Enjoyed reading this book with 2nd chances. Parker and Charlie matured in how to communicate since they had divorced years prior. Good character development in that you could feel the way they had grown.
Read the whole series! Great writing!!
Great read
Story line is good, but Language was really bad.
enjoyed it very much!
I liked it so much I bought the rest of the Remington Medical series. Recommend to fans of Melanie Harlow and Corrine Michaels.
A day at the beach read.
too much repetition of prior events
Charlie and Parker
Overall a good story that got better as it went along. I felt the beginning of the book was rushed. It just didn’t feel right for two people that had not seen each other in years.
Loved that these two managed to actually have a conversation, institute a honesty policy, and put back together what they had lost.
A really goo read. I enjoyed all of the characters and watching them grow.
