Baby’s heat is coming… and alphas she can trust.
The Late Night Howlers have given up hope…
After years of waiting for an omega to choose them, this motorcycle club of alphas is ready to move on with their lives. Until one sweet woman takes a chance on them.
A rundown bar and apartment building is no place to spoil a new omega but the Howlers are determined to do right by Baby when she needs them. All they have to do is keep her satisfied while resisting the mouthwatering temptation to bite and bond her, permanently.
When a rival MC comes sniffing after Baby, her safety is put at risk and the Howlers may be torn apart forever.

I had seen this book mentioned several times in an Omegaverse group I belong to, but the title had totally put judgemental ol’ me off giving it a try. Reading a very positive review by a trusted Goodreads friend, and seeing that she recommended it, was enough to change my mind – and am glad I did. Baby and the Late Night Howlers is a fun and feisty mash up of RH, romantic suspense and omegaverse, with a very light dash of biker romance too.
Despite that very cheesy title, what I found was a well written, entertaining, and enjoyable story. The author took the time to build distinct characters for each of the male protagonists, allowing me to distinguish one from another. I did feel that at times it slowed the pace a little but I would rather have that and “know” all the men, rather than have them blur into one homogenous, indistinguishable mass. I did struggle with the flicking between club names and real names. Sticking with one, until there had been sufficient time to link the name to the person and their job, would have worked better for me. I did discover a glossary at the end of the book (and after I’d finished reading it) which would have been much more useful had it been at the beginning!
This was unusual in that, unlike the majority of reverse harem stories, there wasn’t one male who was in charge or, or more dominant than, the rest. Whilst Jonah is the President of the Late Night Howlers MC he doesn’t rule over the pack, so although we meet him first (well other than Seth, his beta) he isn’t the “main” man. I mention that because other reviewers did have an issue with it, and forewarned is forearmed, as they say.
A big positive for me was that we didn’t (as can also so often be the case in RH books) get just one “big scene” with each male before moving off to the next love interest. The balance between sex scenes and story was good, this had plenty of plot to hold my interest. The sex was scorching hot, and it’s one of the things we read OV stories for, but the individual scenes didn’t drag or feel as though the went on too long.
Could I choose one of the men as my favourites? I don’t think I can, I was very much swayed by who Baby was with at the time. S eth and Books/MacKenzie were both very focused on Baby, all her men were BUT this pair seemed to understand her needs more than the others did. Bullet/Quincey was the most in-your-face dominant and protective but I loved that Green/Ryan had that natural sexual dominance. I could understand Jonah’s reticence and his issues with claiming Baby and I loved her acceptance and understanding of it, even though it stung. One of my favourite aspects was that this wasn’t a world of downtrodden Omegas, Baby kicked ass – literally – and wasn’t afraid to go after what, and who, she wanted.
I also very much enjoyed seeing the beta’s take a more prominent role. So often they are portrayed as boring, downtrodden and even worthless, but Kathryn Moon has made them just as vital a part of the world as alphas and omegas are. I know I mentioned earlier that some parts were a little slow, but I do think the author missed an opportunity of having meaningful scenes between the beta females and Baby. I’m not sure this would pass the Bechdel–Wallace test. That said, overall I was very impressed with the book. The world building was solid too, a contemporary setting but where the A/B/O dynamic exists and so alpha’s, in general, will form a pack. I definitely intend to read more from this author.. I definitely intend to read more from this author.
It’s official, I’m a mushy reader! This book is so sweet and hot that I’m a puddle of mush! I just wanted to keep reading but the book ended. Oh the book-hangover!
I loved this book so hard!!!! It was a completely new take on the omegaverse. It was so caring and loving. Not only was the book sweet, it was so incredibly hot. There was so much smut through the book, but the author not once repeated anything. She kept you hooked from beginning to the end.
Baby was the perfect mix of sweet and submissive and bad a** babe. The guys, oh how I wish the were mine. I’m definitely adding them to my harem. Yummy!
Go forth and one-click this amazing book. You won’t regret it.
Baby and the Late Night Howlers
Ok let’s be real here. I was not very educated when it came to Omegaverse and I had to Google it. Now here is the thing. Kathryn Moon is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE authors. Like, I kinda have a literary crush on her talent. Don’t judge, it’s real. So even though I had to do a little Googling, and EVEN though I might have been a little squiggly after reading what the magical Google revealed, I was NOT nervous to follow Kathryn into this previously unexplored territory. As with all of Kathryn’s work, I was not disappointed. This story ticked off all the things on my favorites list. RH-Check. FMC is funny, sassy, and strong-Check. Story is original and new to me-Check. HEA-Check. This was fun, it was sexy, it was full of adventure and as always, you felt like you connected with the characters from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and pick this up (and quite frankly, any book by Kathryn Moon) today. YOU won’t regret that you did!
Baby and the Howlers. It was a fantastic read. A woman coming into the unknown and having some great men help her along the way with discovering who she is and she helps them become the great pack they are supposed to be. Amazing story with cute, cuddly and sexy characters and of course bad idoits that have what’s coming to them.
This was not my first foray into an Omegaverse, but it is my favorite. Baby is a late bloomer, but she is everything I want in a FMC. She’s beautiful inside and out. She’s patient and kind while still being totally badass. And when she meets her alphas, she pulls out the best in them. This story is a beautiful journey in building a family and protecting it at all costs.
And the steam, oh Lord! I was flushed and ready for almost the entire story. There’s tender scenes, rowdy scenes, and everything in between. So, so hot!
This story is a wonderful example of what happens when an amazing story combines with the hottest of romance and rh. I loved every page of it!
An MC, reverse harem, omegaverse novel? Yes Please!! One of my favorite authors has combined some of my favorite tropes into an awesome story. Lovable characters, just enough drama to keep you entertained and of course some steam. I cannot say enough good things about it. Read this book!!
Oh man. When I say I’ll read anything Kathryn writes, I mean it. This is the first omegaverse novel I’ve read, and I’m glad Kathryn popped my cherry! Baby and her men are seriously goals! They give off major Sons of Anarchy vibes, with lots and lots of sexy times.
Baby was content with her life as a Beta, but one random night in a biker bar changed all of that when she discovered she’s in fact an Omega. Her life is changed in a whirlwind when she finds herself in need of a pack to tame her heat. In steps The Late Night Howlers, a pack of MC Alphas who had given up all hope of finding their Omega.
Kathryn builds these amazing worlds that just suck you in from the first page. I laughed. I cried. I was angry. And I fell in love with Baby and her men. This stand-alone has a HEA, but be warned you’re in for a rollercoaster of a ride (in the best way possible!).
OMG!! This book is fire! Like crazy smoking hot! If you’re in to the RH scene this one takes the cake!
Baby is a late bloomer…and her heat is hitting hard and fast! She has to find her pack soon.
The men in this book!!! Holy Hell The Men!!!!
You have sooo many different flavors to choose from and all of them are delightful in their own ways. I want to take a big bite out of each. I promise you will find something to your liking.
Make sure you read this one and have some spare panties.. you will definitely need them!
Wow, just WOW! This book was pretty amazing. So I have to say that I am very wary of reading omega books. However, I have been wanting to read this one for a while and so glad that I finally read it. What I love about this was the fact that Baby is an omega she does not allow to be demeaned or bullied. She knows that she has choices. She just happens to choose the Night Howlers pack to become their omega. She is treated with utmost respect and like a queen. Jonah, one of the alphas wants her but he also does not want to get his hopes up. He is always looking at the downside of things. The other men she chooses to bond with are just as sweet. Then some crazy stuff is happening and with her heat starting to ramp up they are wanting to protect her. Another mc is trying to take her it seems. Only the men need to keep an eye on someone from inside their pack. Does it get hot and heavy, yes it does. All this is new to her and the guys and they are learning as they go. Can she convince the alphas she has chosen that she is not going anywhere. Check out how it all ends. You will love it.
First I’d like to start out by saying that I’ve read several other books featuring the Omegaverse and have liked them, which is one of the reasons I chose this one to read. BABY AND THE LATE NIGHT HOWLERS is special though. It is unique in the sense that it is a reverse harem in addition to Omegaverse. In this world, Omegas can have more than one Alpha and also Alphas even bond to Betas. It’s a very cool concept. BABY also features a motorcycle club, which I LOVE!!!!
Now to my thoughts about the story:
Baby is a Beta and very content with that. She’s 25-years-old and well past the typical age for her Omega perfume to come in. However, on a night out with her best friend Lola, it hits her! She and Lola aren’t in the nicest bar and being a new, unbonded Omega is dangerous. Hormones could put her in a very sticky situation. Thankfully she meets a handsome Beta with a heart of gold that gets her safely to an Omega Center so she can get the help she needs to find a pack.
Baby ends up choosing a pack based on the scent cards the Omega Center has. Seth, the wonderful Beta that helped her, had an Alpha’s smell lingering on him. A smell that sent her Omega hormones into overdrive and once she comes across that same scent on a card at the Center, she knows she wants to meet the pack and hopefully find her place with them. Turns out Seth is the VP of the Late Night Howlers motorcycle club. He’s the only Beta in the club of Alphas.
Everything seems to be going great until a rival motorcycle club decides they want Baby for their own. The Late Night Howlers will have to fight if they want to keep their Omega. The Omega that makes them more than just a motorcycle club. Baby makes them a family.
I love reading good omegaverse books and this one is amazing! The world building is the greatness I’ve come to love from Kathryn Moon. The character depth and development is great. And there are a few chapters done in a different POV from Baby which is always appreciated, so you can get a glimpse into the male characters’ minds.
What a delightful surprise! I’ve never read a book by this author before, now I’m mad at myself and have to find more because I’m a fan! I’m not a huge fan of Omegaverse books because they are always so misogynistic and “You. omega, bend over, take this butt whooping then fall in line because we’ll freak you into submission” like, you have to know that that is not a real turn on for anyone that I know in real life, but yeah, I guess it’s a thing in a self-debasing kind of writing, written by women, smh. This book was not like that. Baby was strong and knew her own mind, her alphas were flawed but still sweet, the action built up over chapters and the sexual scenes were not unrealistic, for the most part. I actually liked the woman and how even she was, not trying to hide her identity behind some label. By the time the schieze hits the fan, Baby is well and truly able to rise up to the occasion, and I loved her all the more for it. I’m off to read Lola’s story now, but I’d recommend Baby to anyone looking for a cool new author to read and a really great story!
OK first I would like to thank my fellow reader and blogger who highly recommended this book to me. Thank you Britt, you were absolutely correct in thinking I would love this book. It really drew me in and held my attention all the way through it. These hot af alpha men are just as sweet as they are bada$$. Baby was a kicka$$ omega. The storyline flowed really well and the sweet and sexy times are really hot. You can really see the bond she has with each and every alpha in the pack.
Kathryn Moon I do believe you have found another faithful reader in me.
I am always on the fence about OmegaVerse Novels. Some charm me or thrill me with their dominance, while others put me off with just TOO MUCH Alphaness, and all that comes with it. This standalone Reverse Harem Novel, seems to dip its toes into that world and still comes out somewhat clean. Oh, don’t get me wrong, it gets delightfully steamy and sometimes explicit, but it lacks that subjugation some OmegaVerse books seem to celebrate.
There is no forceful coupling here or lessons that ‘have’ to be learned or taught. Instead, this is sweet and heartfelt, a collection of Alpha’s learning and loving on the Omega who has chosen them. And it IS her choice, that much is clear. Maybe not with every Alpha pack in this world, but definitely with THIS pack and THIS Omega – and it’s beautiful.
I truly enjoyed the ebb and flow of this stand alone and I can’t wait to see what this author puts out next in this world.
Pros:
~Sweet!
~Great cover! That really is how she is described in the book.
~I get the angst, it makes sense – though I wanted to smack him around a few times.
~The Beta players… so interesting.
~The world is displayed in such a way that you really start to understand the stakes, and what is
going on.
Cons:
~I am still a little unclear on the rules of OmegaVerse. Are they wolves? People with animal instincts?
Perspective:
~First Person, Multiple POV
Ending Type:
~HEA
Rating:
~Mature
Romantic Dynamic:
~MMMMMMF (M/M present)
Character Age Range:
~26+
My newest obsession is Omegaverse. I had fallen away from paranormal because it had gotten a little dry for me but my handy-dandy FB group Help Me Name That Book turned me on to Omegaverse and now I’m hooked. With Baby & the Late Night Howlers also being a reverse harem, I was happy to dive right in.
Baby is an Omega, only she didn’t know until she goes into heat, in the middle of a biker bar surrounded by Alphas. She always thought she was a beta and was happy with where her life was. Now she has to find a pack before her heat comes in full blast but none of the packs that are currently available. A last-ditch effort by the advisors brings her attention to the Late Night Howlers, a biker club that has given up hope of finding an Omega who can match with their eclectic group.
This is definitely a smutty read but with a good story and solid characters. From the reluctant club prez to the cautious enforcer and everyone (and there are quite a few) in between all are written well and distinctly. Baby is a sweet girl who is thrown in the deep end of the pool and proves that she can not only stay afloat but swim quite well.
The story meanders a bit with an outside threat to the club but the way Ms. Moon developed each relationship within the harem makes up for it nicely. Not a shifter book (no one gets hairy) but a good option if you are looking for an Omegaverse, especially if you are new to the genre and want to get your feet wet.
Holy smokes—like coming off the pages, smoke. This is a HOTTT Omegaverse. I loved the fact that there is respect for the Omega, unlike many other books of this genre. If you feel the need to blush, and like more than one partner, this is a great standalone read with a HEA.
I really enjoyed this sweet take on the omegaverse or alpha/ omega dynamics. Baby was a kick@ss main character who didn’t just wait around for a man to save her. She took charge of the situations she was presented with and didn’t take sh!t from anyone even her alphas. The guys were all great and different from each other. I did get a little lost at first remembering their actual names and MC names but the guide in back helped and I did eventually get it down. This does have a MM relationship within the harem so if that’s not your thing be aware it is in there. I really loved this book and this author so after you’ve read this one check out her other books.
I was definitely pleasantly surprised by this new book by Kathryn Moon!! I have read her Librarians Coven series and her Summerland series and I really enjoyed them, but this one blew it out of the park. I loved everything about it. I had some family stuff happen and this was an amazing escape and I stayed up late many nights continuing to read when I really should have been asleep. I read a lot of omegaverse but in the M/M space, not with a female omega. I really did like this and thought it was done very, very well.
I really loved Baby (and all the nicknames she got from the guys!) and her guys were amazing. I think I fell in love with them in turns, so I cant even pick my top 3 haha. I loved how cuddly Bullet was and how he taught her to protect herself. I love Seth for protecting her in the bar and being an amazing beta. I loved MacKenzie because I always fall for the nerdy ones but duuuuude in the bedroom, he was FIERCE! Tornado to me I think was the unsung one of the bunch. I loved his vulnerability and kinda wished we had more. Oh and he can cook curry for me anytime . Oh and Ryan, I loved how he stepped up when he needed to, didnt let anyone dictate his relationship with Baby, and was just an all around amazing caretaker (and sexy to boot!). I think I kinda lost interest in Jonah and he didnt redeem himself enough with what he put Baby and the others through. But loving 5 out of the 6 guys is a total win in my book haha. I also loved the girl betas and the other alphas in the club, esp. Chef. I think Kathryn did a phenomenal job making me fall for these characters, root for them even though they aren’t real, and beg for more even though this is a standalone (for Baby and her crew). I cannot wait to see what Kathryn does for Lo and hopefully gives her some amazing men to help heal her heart after the horrible things she must has gone through with the other MC crew.
Oh and totally saw the baddie coming, and WAS SO HAPPY HE GOT HIS COMEUPPANCE! Baby totally kicked butt and I could not be happier with how everything unfolded and ended. Ahhh can’t say enough about this book. Definitely in my top 10 reads over the last year (I cant say this year since its only the 6th day into it, not giving it enough credit haha).
I think my only smidgen of a complaint was the various guys and their nicknames. It wasn’t consistent with using the club name vs. their actual names and it kept changing all the time so I had to keep referring to the name and smell list in the back. At one point I wrote them down in a notebook so I wouldn’t be confused. I think if it had swapped less it would have been easier. I know Baby and the guys call them different things, it was just hard for me sometimes to remember that Chef was actually Jeff haha.
So all in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this book and am dying for more. I think this is Kathryn’s best work so far and she should continue to wow us with this world she has brilliantly created
First off, whew, that was one hot story! I’m not going to lie, this book really did make me hot, bothered and repeatedly went to the bathroom to freshen up because hot damn! The smexy scenes here are off the charts! So ladies, get that fan and cool drink ready, because you’ll be in for a red hot omegaverse story.
I don’t mind reading long books especially in this instance since it’s my first foray into omegaverse. I have my fair share of paranormal stories but I’m a newbie to this trope. Nevertheless, I loved that it’s long and detailed enough for me to understand what it’s all about. The story is told through multiple POV, which was another plus for me to get to know each characters thought process. The heroes here are swoon worthy, sexy, growly alpha males that I wouldn’t mind cuddling up *dreamy sighs* There was just enough drama, angst, action, and plenty of romance for fans of this author. As expected, the author’s well written world building is always on point for a very captivating read. I loved it and can’t wait for more!
I absolutely loved this book. It has passion, romance and each man has his own unique personality. I really liked that this is a lass harsh take on the omegaverse. I loved Baby and her very strong personality and take no BS attitude. This is very well written and has a great storyline filled with steam. I really hope Kathryn Moon continues to write stories place in the omegaverse.
