Another great story in this series by Carrie Elks! The characters are fun to get to know and having past characters from previous stories present in this one just add to the greatness. The story line is fantastic and captivating. Carrie has done such a great job writing this so the reader feels like they are right there with the characters and you feel like part of their family.

Well I thought this series couldn’t get better after the last book but Carrie Elks has outdone herself with this one. What an emotional rollercoaster ride this turned out to be !!! I was laughing one minute and crying the next. She creates a world with characters you can totally empathise with and relate to. Harper is a lovely character and her connection with James was obvious from their first meeting. They both have issues from the past they have to overcome but eventually they prove that love conquers all. This was such a beautiful book and I can’t wait to see what Carrie comes up with next !
Book five in the Angel Sands series a well written story with a very good storyline the story flows across the pages. Two damaged people widower Doctor James Tanner and Harper Hayes who has been made to feel unloved all her life by her Mother and Grandmother meet for a one night stand that has a lasting effect on their lifes. I enjoyed reading this story and seeing how they come together. I want to read more in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story had great characters, and though I’ve only read one previous in the series, it had good interaction with the characters from all of the previous books. The storyline and the internal struggles of the characters was good. Though there is obviously sex happening in the book, there really aren’t much for scenes of it.

I loved this story. Two people who meet by chance and have a magical night together. Harper doesn’t know James’ real name as they jokingly called each other by fake names. Harper turns up pregnant and doesnt know how to get ahold of him. she sees him again by chance and then they start learning about each other. She had a tough upbringing and not much love. He had a wife and child taken away by a horrible accident. The each make mistakes, but finally make their way to each other. the story was very sweet. The last part of the story made me cry and hope for the best. This author knows how to keep you interested in her stories and not wanting to put the book down. well done

Harper and James meet at a time when neither were looking for anything serious. James has lost his wife and child and does not want that pain again so he has decided to remain single. Harper is a free spirit but after one night with James and she wakes up alone only to find out later she is pregnant. Enjoyed reading this story and loved the characters.
James and Harper meet at the opening to the new resort in Angel Sands. They share one night and James leaves without a trace. Two months later Harper realizes James left something behind. Realizing she needs support she decides to move to Angel Sands and start over with her friends helping her. In a chance meeting Harper finds James and tells him her news. James a doctor has had to piece his life back together after utter devastation three years ago does not know how to handle Harpers news but soon realizes he wants in his childs life as well as her mothers. These two have some serious things to work through before getting their hea but its a beautiful story to read. We also get to catch up with past characters and enjoy the amazingness of Angel Sands once again. I can not wait to read the next installment of the series.

Loved
James and Harper intense emotional broken heart stopping
Love this series
Grabbed my heart
Ready for more
What a great, emotional read. I am not someone who cries while reading books but this one had me. I was hooked from beginning to end. Great story!!
Carrie Elks has a proven formula for delivering addictive, sweet, sexy stories that are unputdownable. I’ve been blown away with this series that are all standalone stories set in a small town off the Californian coast called Angel Sands. Although each story is centred around two fresh characters the friends we’ve learned to love from previous stories in the series do crop up and we then get to learn about the continuation of their journeys. So, I would highly recommend reading the books in the series in order, maybe treat yourself to a binge read of the whole boxset to fill your heart with so much love and more. The books in the series in order are:
Let Me Burn
She’s Like The Wind
Sweet Little Lies
Just A Kiss
Baby I’m Yours
Baby I’m Yours is Harper and James story and their story only began on a chance encounter; a meeting that gave James the opportunity to forget the hurt, forget the loneliness and to enjoy just for a few hours the feeling of life again. But this chance collision of hearts that sizzled was to leave an everlasting mark on both Harper and James lives. At the time of their union it was a meeting of two lonely souls with lust taking over and anonymity was the key. So a few months later when events led back to that one night for this girl and this guy, who have both suffered greatly, they let fate give them a helping hand in finding a new happiness in their lives.
Carrie Elks has written such an emotive story in Baby I’m Yours that you’ll feel your heart breaking for both our girl and guy. This is a story of finding light in a very dark tunnel and accepting that you are worthy of new beginnings and love.
An addictive, emotive story that will fill your heart with adoration.
Can James beat the grief and move forward with a tiny incentive?
I really enjoyed this story; I’ve read every book in this Angel Sands romance series and think this is one of the best so far with just The right mix of romance and angst.
The main protagonists deal with very realistic issues as James is still caught up in deep grief at the loss of his wife and young child. He’s not perfectly supportive when a one-time hookup with a beautiful stranger leads to a reset of his stagnating existence, but he’s a pretty sympathetic character. The heroine has a very sad family background and career problems that she has fairly brilliantly overcome but James tests her. Thank goodness that small Angel Sands is loaded with people who care for and support her through it all.
I found the hospital scene late in the story a bit drawn out and wondered why doctor and former father James often acted like he was new to the wonders of pregnancy and childbirth. These minor issues did not detract from a wonderfully positive, romantic story which was a solid yes for me.
I read a free copy of the book provided through Booksprout; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Another great story in the Angel Sands Series
The characters were so great and the chemistry between the two main characters was scorching hot.
The story is well written and very enjoyable.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is book #5 of the Angel Sands series and it has made me a fan. James Tanner and Harper Hayes made the perfect pairing. He is a doctor nursing a broken heart after losing his wife and child when he stumbles into Harper. They share a steamy night that leaves her with a little added surprise. Their love story gave me all the feels, both happy and sad. I was rooting for their HEA until the very end. Carrie Elks definitely has a way with words and I can not wait to read more by this talented author.

I give this book 4,5 stars.
I really loved this book about two “broken” people being brought together by an unforeseen pregnancy.
Carrie Elks has the ability to hit me in all my feelings and she writes in a way that you can’t help but fall in love with the characters and their friends, families and the town of Angel Sands that is the surroundings of all the love stories in this series. I want to live in this town and fall in love ;)!
Everybody welcomes earlier citizens and newcomers with open arms and draws you as a reader into the family too.
This is the fifth book in the series of Angel Sands and it is about Harper who is the friend of Caitie who found love with Brecken in the fourth book and James who is a doctor who lost his wife and one-year old son 3 years earlier. They meet at the opening of the resort that Brecken was the constructor on. After a one-night stand she becomes pregnant and she moves to Angel Sands to be near her friends and to get their help and support and she figures out that he also lives there. They become friends and decide to become co-parents and they help each other figure out what they want out of life and how to get out of the darkness they both struggle with.
It was a wonderful story but I had some problems with Harper and her insecurities and even though she was such a strong woman and had such a big willpower, she had this other side of this poor little rich girl who nobody wanted. Sometimes she felt a little to sorry for herself and was a little too whiny.
James I really felt for with his survivors guilt and his fight to get out of his darkness. He was soooo wonderful I just loved him.
I thought the book was a little too long and dragged a little too much in some places. Normally I don’t like the trope of unforeseen pregnancy but I this book it didn’t hurt the story because it was these circumstances that brought James back to life.
I can definitely recommend this book and The “Angel Sands” series. I can’t wait for Griffin and Autumn’s story next. I have been waiting for Griffin’s story for a long time!

I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.
The ‘Angel Sands’ series by Carrie Elks is a series that I have been following and reading from the very first beginning and I enjoyed every story in it. Each story is about a different couple but because of the friendship between the women (and the men), you see a lot of familiar faces in each book and that makes that each story feels a bit like revisiting ‘old friends’. I love the fact that you can still follow the lives of the previous couples, their happiness, their problems throughout the series. But even if you only want to read one book of this series, that is also possible. Because each book can be read as a standalone story too.
So, ‘Baby I’m yours’ is the fifth book in the ‘Angel Sands’ series. If you have read the previous book (Just a kiss) then you will recognize Harper as Caitie’s best friend. Harper was such a great second character in that book so I was very happy when I discovered that this story would be about her.
‘Baby I’m yours’ was again a light and easy to read story that was about an unexpected pregnancy. I really liked how both characters reacted on the surprise pregnancy and how they decided to deal with it. Very mature and with respect for each other’s feelings and needs. But this story was more than just that. It was also about a second chance on love. Because James is a widower so he has had a family before and he lost them. So Harper and this pregnancy created a mix of emotions with him, which is very understandable. Guilt about finding a new love and a new family but also happiness about it. But don’t worry, this story is still a light and pleasant read, not a heavy and sad one.
The story is told in both POV’s. I liked both characters very much. Both were gentle, patient, understanding and were there for each other but of course, pregnancy hormones and guilt for finding love again didn’t made everything easy. The second characters were again wonderful. I enjoyed this story.
Not far into Baby I’m Yours and I felt the love for this deliciously sexy, sweet, and heartfelt story. From the moment Harper and James met, I felt the electricity between them and was excited to delve into this story of a heartbroken widow and a down on her luck clothing designer.
Harper is one of those endearing characters that had me from the start. We met her as Caitie’s best friend in Just a Kiss, and even then I found her delightful. She’s pretty no no-nonsense and not given to hyperbole so when she declares that her place in James’ life couldn’t compare to what he had in the past I felt that nudge of worry that she may be right. As we get the story from both their perspectives, there were times that indicated James was stuck in a mindset that didn’t give way to a romantic connection between them, no matter the chemistry.
I loved how the author developed their relationship, that given time and the formation of friendship, they could co-parent their “ oopsie” baby. Elks shows the strong undercurrent of sexual tension between them which also allows them to connect on another level. Now, James doesn’t always handle his before and after life choices well, giving me a bit of anxiety. He’s clearly at odds with how he feels, and not facing it, not speaking his heart’s desires has consequences.
One thing is for sure, Harper deserves the fairytale. She builds a business, and as she settles into Angel Sands, she grows her tribe. She fits perfectly in the community and leaves her past behind. James will need to learn this lesson himself. Elks delivers the moment of reckoning with gusto. If I could have reached through the pages and thump James in the forehead I would have. He certainly knows how to mess things up and how Harper reacts felt very right, justifiable and with grace.
Elks also gives her characters a wonderful second chance love story with a “…strange, ragtag family of three.” Beginning and I loved the lesson that James learns, that “…humans are capable of more love…” than he thought possible. This story made me cry both sad and ultimately happy tears. I can’t wait for a return to Angel Sands and to see this wonderful family again.
Great Story…

Wow this is the first book by
Carrie Elks that I’ve had the privilege to read. This is a charming lovey-dovey
romance.

Baby, I’m Yours #5 – This is my first read by this author. I found the story OK, but I did not care for Harper.
She did do well naming her baby with the name of James’s son. The storylines are OK and most of the characters. This book was not meant for me.
I found this book on Booksprout. 3*
Baby I’m Yours has just shot straight to #1 as my favourite book in this amazing series!
I just didn’t think that Carrie Elks could write anything better than the previous four books set in Angel Sands but James and Harper’s story just totally blew the others all away. This book is the most emotionally heart wrenching story full of loss and shattered dreams, but it’s also a story about learning that life goes on and that life is meant for living.
After James and Harper’s night together sets them both on a path that neither of them realised that they both wanted, you get the beginnings of a romantic love story that had me rooting for them to find their HEA. It’s simply a slow burn kind of friends with benefits at the start that quickly turns into something a lot more, with both trying to figure out each others feelings.
I loved all the drama, I loved all the will they won’t they and I totally fell in love with James, the broken hero who was waiting for his slightly less broken heroine to find him and mend his broken heart.
This was a bit of a tearjerker, with some exceptional storytelling. I LOVED THIS BOOK!
This is one fine novel. Romance at its best. The storyline is very good and the characters are oh so fine. If you are sentimental then you might want to have a tissue or two at hand, I certainly needed those but then again I am a total wuss. But the development of the story is just really good and the flow of the story is as well. So overall a really good romantic love story and well deserving of the four stars I am giving it here.
