A hot and hilarious new standalone from New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan.We met in a trapped elevator.Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie.I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right? At thirty-five, my life hadn’t taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting—I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own … wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen.
After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner—he also insisted on something else—that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy. He was a wealthy and powerful CEO with little interest in diapers or playdates. And since he didn’t want kids, I’d be on my own once his bun was in my oven, free to go my own way.
But once his baby was inside me, it was like a switch had been flipped, and I got a whole lot more than I ever bargained for.
This full-length standalone contains a hot, swoonworthy hero, lots of playful banter and some hot baby-making! Enjoy.

Kendall Ryan knows how to do the sexy and the sweet. She knows how to put them both into a story and make it explode.
Emmett and Jenna meet in an elevator. She’s on her way to the sperm bank. He’s not on his way to the sperm bank. When he learns of her crazy plan to get knocked up in a sterile room, he kindly steps in and offers his services.
Yes, he offers to have sex with her so she can get pregnant. There’s no way this will go differently than planned.
This is one of those fun, feel good books. I’m clearly on a fun, feel good kick lately because this is what I’ve been reading. I’m enjoying it. Kendall Ryan knows what she’s doing in this genre and I can’t wait to read this next book she writes!
*Oh, I listened to this audio. Sebastian York and Virginia Rose nail this narration.
You simply can’t go wrong with Kendall Ryan. Heat, humor and heart!
Wow! Stranger in an elevator proposes to be your no strings attached baby daddy. What an interesting concept. That is exactly what happens to Jenna.
Jenna is desperate for a baby. She is single with no intentions of finding a man. On the way to her appointment at the fertility doctor, she gets stuck in an elevator with a stranger. One embarrassing phone call and strange conversation later, the hot guy in the elevator proposes to be her baby daddy with no strings attached.
Wow! Emmett gets to lay the hot chick in the elevator and she wants nothing in return. What could be better? The perfect arrangement. He can give her what her heart desires and he can bang a hot chick. What could go wrong?
This book was hot as sin. Man that Emmett is one sexy man. I loved the story. A little far-fetched but wonderful. It was fun reading the story and imagining them as they fight against the one thing they claim they don’t want. Love! A very entertaining read, full of fun and hot steamy sex. Man those two bump like rabbits. It is so funny the way they try to justify sleeping together. A riot!!!
If you are looking for good hot and steamy read that will make your toes curl, then this book is for you. Entertaining and hot as hell!!!!!

5 #spanking stars
Sexy, sinful, satisfying and just plain desirable… and that’s just the story. Emmett Smith will melt your heart and sizzle your ovaries in this book. He’s ‘the’ perfect book boyfriend. He’s a man who prefers one night stands because he believes he can’t do relationships, but he’s so dang wrong.
From the moment he gets stuck in an elevator with Jenna Porter, Emmett in intrigues, entranced and just totally captivated by her. She’s a strong, sassy woman who likes nougat, and know what she wants. When Emmett discovers why she was in his building, he doesn’t even think twice before offering up his services.
No need for a clinical situation when he can deliver personally in the ‘old fashioned way’.
Jenna’s idea of old fashioned was hilarious and Emmett’s face and response when she handed him a plastic container for his serving of #pumpanddump made me snort so hard with laughter, I had tears streaming down my face.
This was a laugh-out-loud but sweetly romantic story with great characters. No OW/OM or angsty trials and tribulations. Only one bump in the road and it was solved beautifully.
A fantastic, swoon-worthy tale for an evening curled up with hot chocolate or wine, thoroughly recommend it to everyone.
Another fabulous book by Kendall Ryan! From the moment Emmett and Jenna meet for the first time while stuck in an elevator together you know the chemistry between them is out of this world. These two are great as individuals and even better together. Jenna is on her way to a doctors appointment when she meets Emmett. While stuck they get to talking and Emmett offers to solve her problem for her…the old fashioned way. Emmett is immediately drawn to Jenna and wants her but realizes he can get that and solve her problem at the same time. It’s a great solution for both of them or so they think. Jenna wants a “pump and dump” and that is not how Emmett saw this going down. Emmett tells her that is not how he works and she concedes because she really just wants to be pregnant.
After a few weeks of having sex to get Jenna pregnant and the dinners beforehand they both start to develop more feelings for each other. Of course both of them are afraid of what the other will think because it wasn’t part of their deal. Plus neither of them want to let the other go so they just stick with what they have.
I loved Emmett and Jenna from page one. They were both likable and were both honest with each other and what they wanted. I liked how they both came up with any reason to want to be around each other without trying to give away their real feelings. This is another fabulous book and one you don’t want to miss out on.
Loved this book! Jenna and Emmett agree to make a baby, with no strings attached. He is a gorgeous, sexy CEO and she is a beautiful and independent lady, she wants a baby to complete her life. And, omg, Emmett agrees, he is so witty and alpha male and doesn’t know that things don’t always go as planned.
That’s what I enjoyed about this book. And, the beautiful, incredible Epilogue 🙂
I truly enjoyed this book even though the title almost had me skipping over it. So glad I did read this thoughtful, heartwarming and incredibly steamy story of two people NOT looking for love and finding everything they need.
both-pov, contemporary, easy-to-read, erotic, her-pov, his-pov, read, romance, steamy
Light read, predictable. Some parts didn’t seem real, but it’s fiction, ladies. Characters were predictable, but like able. Feel good book if your life is hectic or stressed currently.
Jenna and Emmett meet in a broken elevator: one of my favorite tropes. She has decided to move forward to have a baby without a partner and is planning to use a sperm bank when he offers to help her out the old fashioned way. He is hot enough that Jenna decides it might not be bad to give that a try.
I really loved Jenna and how she is fierce and determined to get what she wants out of her life, yet also realistic about her limitations. Emmett is at the top of his game and doesn’t consciously realize he is missing something until he gets in deep with Jenna. Their chemistry is super hot and Emmett turns out to be a sensitive guy under the swagger. I really liked how he struggled with his new feelings as he grew through the story. I loved how he made a decision to be there for Jenna beyond the original agreement, opening the door for more serious feelings.
I enjoyed this book and loved the planned baby element of the story.
I absolutely loved the chemistry between these characters, as well as the cute “You’ve Got Mail” twist on the fix they found themselves in. The will they / won’t they push and pull kept me turning the pages way past my bedtime, and the romantic ending sealed the deal! Give this one a read – it’s very cute!

To what extent would you go to have a baby??
Kendall Ryan has done it again!! Baby Daddy is probably one of my favorite of her books to date!! This story was fun, entertaining and sexy. What starts as a chance meeting in a stuck elevator turns into something so much more.
As I have said before Kendall is the bomb when it comes to writing a romantic and swoony love story. She comes up with unique and fun stories and she always gives us characters that are easy to relate to and connect with. Even though parts of this storyline were fairly predictable, it didn’t take away from my full enjoyment. I loved the characters so much that I couldn’t help but get sucked into this book.
In Baby Daddy we follow the story of Jenna and Emmett. Jenna is a 35 year old woman who has given up on men but is determined to have a baby. Coming from a single mom, she figures if her mom did it she can do it. Figuring she doesn’t need a man because they just let her down anyway. So she decides to go to a sperm bank….no muss no fuss!!! But what she doesn’t expect is to get stuck in the buildings elevator and to meet Emmett. Emmett is a CEO on his way to work when the elevator in his building gets stuck. Stranded Jenna and Emmett strike up a conversation. Finding out Jenna’s plan Emmett offers up his own proposition to help her out. Will Jenna take Emmett up on his offer?? What happens when lines blur?? Can Jenna and Emmett have a HEA when secrets are revealed?? Read this fun story to find out.
Baby Daddy is a standalone novel told in Dual POV. This story isn’t loaded down with a lot of outside drama, there was just enough extra to keep you interested. But really you will love Jenna and Emmett so much you won’t even miss the drama. I loved the banter and friendship that Jenna and Emmett forge into. There are some secondary characters but they really don’t steal the show in this book. I loved that the focus was really on Jenna and Emmett.
If you are a fan of Kendall Ryan’s then you don’t want to miss this sexy story. definitely worth the 1-click on release day!! If she is a new to you author, this is the perfect place to start your journey with her writing. Find out why Kendall is an auto read author for me. Another one of her books for my Best of 2018 list!!!
give you a baby no strings attached after meeting in a broken elevator for a few hours.
Jenna was determined to have a baby but not have a relationship so she was heading to a sperm bank. When she get stuck in the elevator with a gorgeous man who figures out where she is heading.
Emmett is a player and loves his manhood and even talks to it like it’s a real life entity. He agrees to help Jenna become pregnant after finding out she was going to the “spank bank.”
The story had a lot of potential it just felt rushed especially at the end. I would of liked to know more about them and more of a build up but overall I enjoyed the story.
4 “spank bank”
First Kendall Ryan read of 2018 and boy oh boy, it couldn’t have been better.
Jenna wants a baby and Emmett… well, it has what it takes to get the job done.
That… and so much more.
I laughed and I cried; through tough moments and tears of joy.
The blurb really got me and it was all i was expecting and then some.
If it got you too, go for it. I can assure that you won’t regret a thing.
I really enjoyed this book! And when I say that, I don’t say it lightly. I didn’t go into this thinking I wouldn’t like the book, I thought it sounded great. But I actually listened to this on audible…and I was really skeptical about it because it was narrated by Sebastian York (and Virginia Rose)…and I haven’t had the best luck with Sebastian York narrations. His voice just did nothing for me. But, I really wanted to read this book, and I was in need of a new audio book to listen to on the way to work and I decided to give it a try. Worst case…I just pull it up on my kindle and continue on without it and disregard the audio.
So I was incredibly surprised to find that the narration was really good! Maybe it’s just Sebastian York’s specific performances I didn’t like?! I’m not sure, but I was really impressed and excited to get back to this every time I got in the car.
This book definitely had a You’ve Got Mail vibe…and that was cool. I knew where it was going long before it got there. It was so fun to watch Emmett and Jenna fall for each other. Some of the scenes had me laughing.
Even though I loved the book, I did find it frustrating that there seemed to be so much miscommunication or lack of communication between Emmett and Jenna. Even in the beginning, her interpretation of how they should go about getting pregnant was the opposite of his. And then later, if they had just talked about their feelings instead of assuming they knew how the other person felt….well, then the book would have ended sooner, but at least they would have TALKED. I was literally yelling at my radio in the car “JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER!”.
Overall though, I really did enjoy this audio book and I know I’ll end up reading it on my kindle at some point!
A definite must read!!!!
This was a sweet, funny, romantic, and EXTREMELY steamy read. The characters were great, even through all of the awkward moments. The author did a fantastic job with this story.
A joyous romp through finding love bass ackwards.
Kendall Ryan nailed it (see what I did there?) with this one!
Sweet, funny, sexy…at times painful, but she always brings you back to the core story. I’m such a sucker for a not-so-tough-after-all bad boy. If you love strong, determined women and swoon-worthy men, check out Baby Daddy!
