Ariel Dawson didn’t plan on getting a tattoo when she went to Ink Addiction with her sister. She was just there for moral support…definitely not to find an alpha caveman of her own.Maddox Holt had no qualms about putting his mark on Ariel right after he laid eyes on her. Because that’s exactly what she was. His woman…even if they didn’t have much in common.
Tattoos, cakes, smut, instalove. So much goodness in this book.
This is Ariel (sister and baker of Belle, from Rock-A-Bye Baby) and Maddox’s (Tattoo artist, does all of Griffith’s ink work at Ink Addiction) story.
This was a fun and quick read and it was hot. If you are looking for a insta love story this is it.
Ariel double dogged dared her sister to get a tattoo, not knowing that this little trip to the shop was going to change her life. Maddox didn’t know that when he agreed to do a favor for the sister of a client that he would be meeting his destiny.
From the first moment they meet, Maddox knows she’s his. He even goes so far to mark her with his tattoo gun.
I liked this book but I did want to make sure you understand that this is an instalove from the very first page. The meet to claim happens in a matter of hours. If you like a little more slow burn, you might want to steer clear. However if you like a man who knows who he is and who he wants and will stop at nothing to claim her and make her his, this is the book for you.
I adored this story! OTT, SHMEKSHAY, and alpha in the best possible way. And getting to still see hints of camaraderie with family, while the focus is on these two and their HEA? Loved it! Also, where’s my tattoo artist bad boy that falls for me instantaneously?! YUMMY.
This book was perfectly over the top and Maddox was the hottest book boyfriend. Great book.
What do a hot tattoo artist and a sweet, redheaded baker have in common? Nothing, except their insta-love attraction. Maddox takes one look at Ariel and he has to have his mark on her. She chases away his darkness with her sunshiny light. Sweet Ariel learns how good and how naughty Maddox can be. And this hot, alpha man will not let her go. You’ll definitely want to read this one by Fiona Davenport. It’s a confection connection! A great addition to the A Vegas, Baby series! 4 stars
Tattoo Artist and Wedding Cake Baker/Decorator = HOT! This story was so much fun. I loved it and the characters. Can’t get enough! Ariel and Maddox seem like they shouldn’t work, but boy do they ever. Great read. Definitely recommend!
Baby Cakes by Fiona Davenport tells the insta-love story between Ariel Dawson and Maddox Holt. One look at each other and they were both goners! Ariel goes with her sister to get a tattoo to surprise her man when Arial and Maddox see each other for the first time. From that moment, Maddox knew Ariel was his. What follows is a sweet, charming and very steamy story with a happily ever after we love!
Happy reading!
Soooo cute! I love how Maddox marked Ariel as his right from the start!! And I seriously love how they just knew. A perfectly sweet & steamy instalove story!!
I absolutely loved Maddox and Ariel. Maddox with his sexy self. Then to unleash all that hotness on to poor Ariel . I don’t know how she dealt with it . Lucky girl is what she is. Don’t walk, run to get your copy of Baby Cakes.
I read an advanced copy of this book.
Who knew getting a tattoo could lead to finding Mr Right?
Ariel is with her sister Belle, after daring her or should I say Double Dog Daring her they are off to get her tattooed. But upon entering the tattoo studio Ariel is in for way more than she expected.
Maddox Holt runs and owns Ink Addiction the premier place to inked in Vegas. When he walks out to front of his studio and spots Ariel it’s game set match. She’s the one. And she’s about to find out just how possessive an Alpha can be.
It was over to quickly. If you want an over the top Alpha who will have you under him is minutes and who will do all he can to put a baby in your belly? Then get ready for Maddox.
Baby Cakes by Fiona Davenport is a deliciously sweet, spicy, tempting and fun read that will have you craving more. Ariel and Maddox – the baker and the tattoo artist. This novella is full of feels and steam in this insta-love classic by Fiona Davenport. Get ready for the double dog dares!
My Rating: 4.5 stars******
Rating: 3.5+ “give me the baby batter” Stars
If you love OTT romances as I do, then Baby Cakes will be a treat! After reading Rock-a-Bye, Baby, I was intrigued by the whole “Disney-princesses-sisters” and I couldn’t wait for Belle’s sisters, Aurora and Ariel, to get their own happily-OTT-ever-after.
When Ariel accompanies her sister into Maddox’s tattoo studio, he takes one look at her and knows she is it for him. And that’s pretty much the time he takes in making her his. Growly, possessive and baby-crazy he was sextacular.
“I want all of you, which means a ring on your finger and a baby in your belly.”
Ariel was sweet and a bit sassy, but pretty much melted the second Maddox looked at her… and who would blame her?
“Your head may not admit it yet, but your body knows what you want. It’s begging for my baby batter.”
Baby Cakes is all sugary sweetness and hot baby making… lot’s of baby making. Fun and exactly what I expected, this is exactly what Ms. Davenport is all about.
*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book*
What do I love more than an OTT hero who taps into his unknown Neanderthal side at first sight of the heroine? A strong heroine with an affectionate and loving relationship with her family; and to my ever loving delight, this story has both. Loosely connected to “Rock-A-Bye, Baby’, this story is about Ariel, the baker and sister introduced in prior book and Maddox, a tattoo artist and business owner.
Beyond the characteristic heat and humor I always expect from this writing duo’s books, I loved the fact that Maddox and Ariel were mature (and I don’t mean old!) business owners as well as artists. That shared combination of creativity as well as practicality made me believe that their relationship would work realistically.
I would love to see this story expanded on as I would love to watch Maddox and Ariel really grow and develop as a couple, particularly against the the backdrop of her close knit family (especially overprotective big brother Knox), but I am sure we will catch glimpses of them in upcoming books. (Hint)
If you’re looking for something to cheer up your mood and fast paced, you are at the right place.
For a short read, it is full of steams but also humor and second degree.
It is a fun story with the perfect alpha obviously on the caveman side but ready to anything for his girl and the sweet and loving young woman who is his second half.
Her light fills his shadows, together they are whole.
Can’t wait for the next in this series.
I was granted an advance copy by the author but I purchased my own, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
