Omg this book will have you hooked from page one until the end of it and still begging for more. I was on such an emotional roller coaster ride with this book and wanted to toss my kindle a few times. I wasn’t a fan of Anela at all .I felt bad for both Nik and Jane for losing so much time together. You will absolutely love this book.
Nick is so in love with Jay and he is willing to do anything to make her his wife. Artist Jane has grown up wealthy and privileged, never working a day in her life. Her parents put their feet down and say she is to marry Preston Howell, their next-door neighbor or they will cut her off financially. There is no way Jane can marry him because she can’t stand him. So she moves into a smaller apartment and her best friend helps her find a job working in marketing using her art skills. When she is working late one night Nik, her boss, takes her to dinner and Jane gets a little tipsy, but not drunk. When he drops off Jane at her apartment she invites him up and Nick can’t hold back his feelings anymore he kisses her like it’s the last kiss he’ll ever give anybody. Nik has had the hots for her since he laid eyes on her. He wants it to happen again and again and again and her best friend told her just to tell him to forget it happened. Her artwork is so great the whole team is going to Paris for a photo shoot. How is she going to maintain her distance from Nik being in close proximity for an entire week. Even though she tries to act like it’s nothing, she finds out she finds him extremely attractive also. He admits he can’t stay away from her, that he’s never felt about a woman like he feels about her. She calms him down and excites him at the same time and he makes her stronger than he’s ever been before. In her, he sees what he’s been missing in life. So far it’s been all work, but now Nik is ready for play. Nik doesn’t care about the repercussions of a workplace romance, he just wants to explore what he thinks could be a magnificent relationship. He is totally smitten with her. but his ex-wife is determined to get him back because her marriage to her second husband has ended and she is left penniless. When Jane finds out he lets his ex-wife stay at his apartment, that’s it. It’s over. She finds out she’s pregnant, quits, moves to Paris. Now she has agreed to marry Preston Howell so they will open up her bank account and she said she need some time away. It’s been six months and Nik has not been able to find her so he hires a private investigator and now he knows exactly where she is and he is going to her. He is not going to let her get away this time, because he is desperately in love with her and she with him. This book has such a wonderful ending because they end up talking to each other and voicing their concerns and why this happened and why that happened and everything that happened with the ex-wife. They get all of the unknown into the air and out into space so they can carry on with their lives. Such an awesome book. I really really loved it.
i started reading and thought .. ok this will be a nice fast reading book, but nothing turned out to be true. it starts well, but after the end I was really fed up with the slow pace. the chemistry between the main characters is there, but there is so much drama around it. sorry is unfortunately was not a book for me. I read it from me, but all in all it gets me 3 stars

This story had me wanting to shout at Nik & Jane to get their act together as it was obvious how they felt for each other & it wasn’t just hot sexual chemistry. I couldn’t believe it took him so long to figure out how evil his ex wife was whilst Jane was left with a broken heart & pregnant. I was desperate for him to find her & couldn’t stop reading.

A Very Entertaining Romance.
A solid older man younger woman romance between Jane, a twenty-seven year old artist living off her trust fund controlled by her parents; And, Nik, a forty-something CEO going through something of an identity crisis. They meet when Jane’s parents cut her off because she refuses to marry the son of their best friends and she finds herself in need of a job for the first time. She secures one in the Marketing Departing where her art skills will be put to good use and is quickly appreciated by the CEO, Nik.
They begin working closely on the rebranding campaign and start it becomes physical not only in her apartment but in Paris during the campaign shoot. Just when she was ready to take it to the next level Nik’s ex-wife shows up and plants herself back in his life. Then Jane receives news so sees the best thing to do was to leave…go back to her favorite spot in the whole world.
Question: Does Nik know where this spot is?
Bottom Line: For the vast majority of the book this was a winner, hands down. Jane had a good head on her shoulders and didn’t come across as immature and/or spoiled. Nik letting as much time slip by as he did with all the resources he had at his disposal irked me. That’s it.
I’m wholeheartedly recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and satisfaction.
Enjoyed this wonderful story with June who goes against her family that wanted her to marry Preston the son of one of their friends so she gets disinherited. She gets a job with Nik who is her boss and they have a hot chemistry that leads to some passionate nights. When she realizes she is pregnant just as Nik’s ex comes back for a second chance she agrees to marry Preston. Will June marry Preston or will Nik realize that he loves her?
Oh baby…
Nice read. Story-line flows easily for a smooth story. My only issue was the fact that I didn’t “click” with either of the main characters. Not really sure why other than I didn’t feel any type of connection.

I could not find a good page to truly sink myself into, during the beginning stages of this novel. I like to imagine it in my mind as a movie as the pages turn; however, I never could find footing to actually get that started here with this story. I would possibly like to try again later, hopefully it might be a better fit.

Nik has a business and an ex.
And a new assistant, in Jane, the artist with no employable skills, yet she gets a job working for him.
They hit it and she’s pregnant but his ex is back in the picture.
Received from Bad Boy Update.
Jane has been given an ultimatum by her parents that she must marry their friends’ son, Preston, or be cut off financially. Rather than let her parents control her life, she leaves and gets a job with the help of a friend since she has no real skills yet, other than her art. Hired as part of a marketing team working on a new merger, she is shocked to see the handsome new boss, Nik. She is speechless and afraid she may not be able to focus on work with him around! He likewise seems very attracted to her.
When the team goes to Paris, Nik and Jane have their office fling and she ends up pregnant by the time they return home. She decides not to tell him, especially when his ex comes back to move in and start things up with Nik again after 10 years. With few options, Jane wonders if she should go ahead and marry Preston who doesn’t mind getting forced into a loveless marriage to keep his wealthy lifestyle intact. With all of this going on, will Jane ever tell Nik that he’s a dad? Will Nik ever wise up and dump the ex for good this time? Or will it all be too late if Jane decides to “tie the knot” with Preston?
There is so much going on in this book! The story line was intriguing and the characters were well-portrayed. Grab your copy and see how everything in this sometimes tangled mess resolves!
Really, really, really good!
I’m not sure exactly what it was about this story that immediately drew me in, but it lasted until it was done. The story is really good about a young lady that leaves her family’s wealth behind when her family presents marital strings for it to continue. Jane goes out on her own, finds an apartment, and gets a job. Knowing zip about how an office works she soon attracts the curiosity of her boss. Funny, heartwarming, and compelling I found it hard to put down until it was done. It’s another coup for Ms. Rose!

This was a terrific book and I thoroughy enjoyed it. Jane is the daughter of a very wealthy family and wanted for nothing. When her parents decided it was time for her to be married, they picked the son of their best friends to be the groom. Jane wanted none of this and went out on her own. She had a small apartment and could paint to her heart’s content until her parents cut her off. So she had to find some way to be able to supportt herself. A friend of hers gave her a tip about a job and she fluked it. She could use her art but she knew nothing about working in an office. Nik is a very wealthy mam with his own thriving business. Jane meets Nik and their seems to be an instant connection between them. I loved this book.
Love this new love story! This is about Nik and Jane. Jane is a privilege child brought up by the wealth of her family and as she enjoys those luxuries, she soon finds out that there is a cost that is bigger than she can afford. Her parents want to marry her off with their inner circle friend and neighbor, but she wants no part of it. Their friend’s son, Preston, who she has known for a while, is not so happy with it either, but of course he is not losing much by marrying her as he will gain more fortune than anything else.
Of course, Jane wants her independence, so she has chosen to look for a job and start on her own. Her friend Elly, character from Annie’s last book, helps her out with her husband Devin in finding her a job in Devin and Nik’s company. Nik is an older man with his own history that unfortunately wants to reappear in his life as he has hit it big. Nik’s as well as Jane thought each of them was attractive but during their first meeting she spaces out and his first impression is shot. Well the story takes off when he realizes that he is not alone in the office as he thought and instead finds Jane fighting with a copier, in which he helps her with, but they end up going to dinner and back to her place afterwards. Let’s just say the story gets sweeter from here with a lot of discoveries along the way.

If you’ve read other Annie Rose books you’ll recognize some of the characters. This is the third book in the Office Secrets Series but can be read as a standalone. If you like office romances you’ll love this older boss, younger employee romance. Plenty of secrets and no shortage of twists or drama. Emotional to say the least. June and Nik have tremendous chemistry but they’d save themselves some grief by not keeping secrets. A HEA but it took a while to get there. I read an arc via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to write a review. This is a great book and one that I know you will enjoy.
Marketing a New Vision of Love
Jane grew up in New York City in her family’s Upper West Side mansion, enjoying all the pleasures and freedoms that wealth provides. Now, as an adult, freed by her family’s generosity of the need to work, she indulges in her artistic passions in her spacious apartment. But, her world of luxury and leisure ends when her parents make her aware that their generosity comes with strings—marital strings. They and their good friends and close neighbors, the Howells, have decided that it is time for their children—Jane and Preston—to unite the two families in a New York society wedding. And if they don’t, both Jane and Preston will no longer have unlimited access to family funding.
Preston is not enthusiastic about marrying Jane, but he is willing to acquiesce to his family’s demands to maintain his lifestyle. After all, there are worse ends than marrying the beautiful Jane and inheriting the combined wealth of the two families. But Jane has other ideas, and she is willing to fight for her freedom. She is even willing to acquire a job and move to a smaller, less expensive apartment. And, with the help of friend Elly, whose husband Devin has connections in the business world where he is in partnership in a venture capitalist company that helps fledgling companies launch. And, any successful launch needs a strong marketing and branding to be successful. An artistic hand and eye are always needed to give form to the vision of entrepreneurs. Devin and Elly recommend 20-something Jane, who has never worked, to the marketing department of Devin and his partner, Nik Nygard’s, company which is about to launch a new tech firm’s app.
Nik’s first impression of Jane is underwhelmed. She can’t seem to understand the language of marketing, and she certainly has no idea what is being said by the experienced Nik and Ethan, the director of marketing for Nik’s firm. But, when Nik runs into Jane at the office on a Saturday, he changes his negative impression of the “new girl” when he stumbles upon Jane struggling with the copy machine and helps her retrieve her work. While it is obvious that Jane is as clueless about making the machine do her bidding as she was about the language of marketing, a quick glance at her drawings for the new promotion show that she has understood exactly the message Nik wishes to promote and captured it with her clever drawings. And at that moment, the boss begins to look at the lovely ginger-haired Jane with new eyes.
Once more, Annie J. Rose has woven a sweet romance where an older man’s frozen heart is thawed by the beauty, youth and intelligence of a younger woman. The story of Jane and Nik sets up a romance that is challenged by controlling parents who wish to marry off their daughter and by Nik’s own scars from an earlier betrayal which comes back to haunt him. Rose creates a love story of individuals who recognize love, but who are manipulated by the forces of the past and family. This novel is a stand-alone romance, but Devin and Elly, who are friends of Nik and Jane, have their own story of love and family challenges in S is for Second Chances.

WOW! What a great Storyline!
I loved this story. The backdrop for the story was unusual and the characters interacted well. If I could, I would give this story at least 6 STARS.
I’m a huge Annie J. Rose fan, to begin with, and this book only cements that ‘fandom’. Ms. Rose writes the way I read, clear, concise, interesting characters, good storylines, well, I could go on and on.
B IS FOR BOSS’S BABY is worth the read!
This book had an interesting storyline and it caught my attention right away! Nik and Jane had immediate chemistry. They are both at a point where their lives are undergoing some introspection and change. Nik is in his early forties and is seriously rethinking his all work, work, work style of life, and Jane is faced with leaving the safety of her family financed life of ease due to an ultimatum made by her wealthy parents, to get a job for the very first time in her twenty-seven-year-old life. Nik and Jane fight their attraction to each other for a while but eventually give in and share a wonderful night together that results in an OOPS! Nik has some very knee-jerk reactions which cause Jane to hightail it off to Paris and to have to reconsider the demands of her parents. In the meantime, Nik has an ex-wife who is wanting to get back with him especially since he has become a billionaire. Does Nik manage to do the right thing for all the right reasons and salvage his relationship with Jane or does Jane have to marry the jerk (Preston) that her parents have decided on for her? A good book but I felt that there were some issues that were never wrapped-up and left me looking for the type of epilogue that would address them. Does Jane get any sort of resolution in regards to her parents? And what about Preston? Does he graciously fade into the sunset or does he just spontaneously self-destruct? If those questions had been answered I would have given this a full five-star rating. As it is it does get 4 1/2 stars.
