A sweet all-American story of love and revenge.Ambitious intern Ashton Bailey is about to get closer to her dream of being a sports announcer. All she has to do is prove that too-perfect-to-be-true NFL quarterback Evan Dawson isn’t quite as wholesome as his contract requires. It’s also the perfect opportunity to get delicious payback on the boy who broke her teenage heart. At least that’s her … At least that’s her plan. But she forgot just how easy it is to crush on the irresistible charmer. #OhNoNotAgain.
Evan has a knack for getting through the opposing team’s defenses, and he won’t let this tall, redheaded knockout be the exception. He’s determined to make things right between them and earn back Ashton’s trust—and maybe her heart, too.
Then the press mistakenly announces their engagement, and Ashton and Evan find themselves going along with the lie. Now the whole world is watching as Ashton flirts with attraction and disaster. But while revenge is sweet, it just might come at the cost of something sweeter still.

Honestly Sariah is one of those authors that if I see a new release I just get so excited. Lovestruck series has been one of my favorites and Awestruck didn’t disappoint.
The thing I love more is that Ashton fought hard but Evan fought harder with his heart. This book was everything I wanted and more. I’m hoping for another book
#Awstruck is an entertaining sports romance in Sariah Wilson’s #Lovestruck series and it can be read as a standalone. While the story is somewhat predictable I enjoyed this witty, humorous, romantic book. Ashton is a dedicated and humorously sarcastic heroine. I loved her as a character. She is pursuing a career that is dominated by men and seizes an opportunity that will help her get ahead all while enacting revenge on the star quarterback and her former tormentor, Evan. Evan aka “Awesome Dawson” is quite the gentleman in that he is kind, loving, romantic, sexy, and supportive of Ashton. Evan was portrayed as the perfect gentleman and at times he almost seemed too perfect to me. Nonetheless, I loved his character and he would be the ideal book boyfriend. The question is, is Evan truly what he seems? The two of them together make a great couple – they compliment each other in every way and you cannot help but want them to get their HEA.
Two things that I would have liked to have seen in the book are 1. an epilogue and 2. a few chapters from Evan’s POV as I would have enjoyed getting a glimpse of his thoughts and emotions. #Awestruck moves at a good pace with no parts that lag. I loved the secondary characters – especially Ashton’s sisters and Nia. This book has a HEA with no cliffhanger. I received this book through Netgalley.
#Awestruck by Sariah Wilson a five-star read that you will find awesome. This is the third novel in the #Lovestruck series, but they can be read as stand-alone as this is the first one, I’ve read and I don’t feel like I’ve missed anything, however I have gone back and ordered the first two as I enjoyed this one so much. Evan ‘Awesome’ Dawson is a great man, he may not have always been that way, but we will see eventually. All he has to do is prove that he is as honest as his game. Ashton Bailey is trying to prove that that he isn’t as honest and straight as he proposes. Que hilarity and openness that wills shock and secrets that will have your heart sinking. This was such a sweet read that I can’t wait to go back and read the first two.
4.5 Stars
I’m going to be completely honest… this book was hard for me to get into at first. I was not connecting with Ashton. I thought she was selfish and would do anything to get her ahead in her career, not caring who she hurt in the process.
But then we find out what happened to her in high school and it started making sense. But I still wasn’t connecting with her. It wasn’t until she started questioning what she was doing that I actually started warming up to her. I guess I didn’t like that she was so bent on bringing Evan down! Haha.
But I ended up really enjoying this book. Evan was such an amazing hero! I think he made the entire book for me! I loved the banter back and forth between the two of them. And those kisses! Those babies were sizzling! My only complaint was that the book just ended! I hate it when that happens! Haha.
#Awestruck was a fun addition to this series! This is definitely one of my favorite series! I’m looking forward to reading more by Sariah Wilson! 🙂
Another amazing story from falling in love with the famous person. This time it is Ashton who wants to become a sports announcer falls in her biggest enemy and an NFL player Evan. Ashton is prepared to do everything to destroy her former teenage love/tormentor but she didn’t count on falling in love again. She was assigned to prove that Evan is not virgin but instead gave again her heart and lost it again. A great funny, steamy slow-burning love story in which we don’t see the final act of consuming their love. The story flows smoothly, romanticly, funny with great characters. Loved the great gesture at the end.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
With her lifelong dream dangling in front of her, Ashton Bailey is determined now more than ever to get her hands on it and live the dream… but one thing stands in her way, ridiculously sexy NFL quarterback Evan Dawson. He is a blast from her past, that broke her heart, and she sees this little re-introduction of their’s as a way to exact a little revenge too. Her boss wants dirt on the seemingly perfect quarterback, and she wants to make him pay a little for breaking her heart, but nothing could have prepared her for what is about to happen next!!
Between the pages of this delightful novel lies a story about a couple who finds themselves at odds, one wants revenge, and the other wants to make amends. Ashton is out to protect her heart and get her dream job, and Evan wants to make up for the wrongs of the past and get the girl of his dreams. It’s a hard fought battle to see which one of them will win out, and whose dreams will come true… and a fun little battle to watch unfold. I really enjoyed the story I found here, it was a first time read that impressed on several fronts, the words were well crafted and heartwarming, and the characters were entertaining and came with a very realistic feel. Highly recommend you check you it out, it’s sweet, swoony, and good for the heart!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
4 1/2 stars. Evan Dawson is a unicorn!!! He is everything a book boyfriend should be. Gorgeous, thoughtful, honest, sorry for past mistakes and NOT a man whore. Ashton is snarky and sarcastic but in the best way possible. She finds herself forgetting about revenge and falling fast and hard for her childhood crush. Their relationship progressed so naturally and I really loved how Ashton let herself really see what a good man Evan was. Brenda was a real crazy and I would have liked to see her get some comeuppance, And I definitely wanted more of the story. A peek into the rest of their lives isn’t too much to ask, is it?? 🙂
Great writing, interesting story, and likeable characters for a clean romance. Still good and entertaining.
A cute story. As with the rest of this series, one of the main characters has saved themselves for marriage, however this time, it was the hero rather than the heroine. Which was interesting since he was the star quarterback for the NFL. A multiple time Superbowl winning team. From Portland. As someone from the Seattle area, this had me cracking up every time it was mentioned. I really enjoyed the side characters, namely Ashton’s family and the WAGS. And it was nice to see the mentions to the characters from the previous books. I enjoyed the story, though not as much as the first in the series.
This was a very cute enemies (on Ashton’s part) to lovers Romance. It was kind of shocking to find out that the male lead in this book is the virgin that’s waiting for marriage, especially since he is a big shot quarter back. While it was a change, it was actually refreshing to have that different twist in the story. Sariah Wilson is very good at writing innocent romance, she doesn’t rely on sex to make the romance and chemistry between the characters believable. Evan was pretty much perfect throughout the entire story which made him a little unrealistic, but I preferred him over Ashton. While I enjoyed Ashton’s spunk and attitude a lot of the time, she drove me absolutely crazy with how she thought she could just ignore the trouble brewing and just hope it would disappear. Every time there was an interaction with her boss I just wanted to yell and rip my headphones off. Luckily Ashton got her act together by the end of the book to make it all worth it!
I was unable to comparatively review this novel to any previous of Sariah Wilson as it was my first read of hers. This is the third book in the #Lovestruck series and is a stand-alone.
This was a light read focused on an angsty, love to hate relationship with some satirical comedy thrown in. The plot, itself, was going in the right direction, but somewhere along the line it fell apart. The characters did not lend to strengthen the storyline. While they were relatable and the reader was given a synopsis on character backgrounds, a deeper exploration was never offered. Works in this genre should make an deep emotional connection with the reader, this felt like it was just scratching the surface. It was a cute, easy read. 3 stars
I’ve read and heartily enjoyed both of the previous books in this series, so I was very eager to read this installment! However, when I finished it, I found myself vaguely disappointed by it.
I found it very hard to believe that Ashton would have held on to her grudge against Evan for so long without trying to find out more about his reasoning behind his actions. Nor could I believe that her therapist mother didn’t have the soul searching talk that she’d had with Ashton in the book long before the time it actually happened! I also didn’t like how easily she capitulated once Evan had his chance to explain things, because if she’d held on to her venom for that long, and got her family to hate him too, then I don’t believe that she would have accepted things so quickly. Ashton’s boss’ motives were also kinda squicky and I couldn’t believe that there was no one overseeing her and her decisions. It didn’t seem realistic to me!
Setting my issues with the story aside, there were a few “Aww!” moments in the romance, and I found that I was hoping for a story for Ashton’s younger sister! Even if this is the end of the series, it was a good way to end it!
