The final five angels have been located and averting the apocalypse means somehow appeasing the multiverse.
Morgan never expected total annihilation would come down to the actions of five misfit angels. But as each one’s hidden angelic power unfolds, so does the sinister truth… the entire Jesus storyline has been wiped from the collective consciousness, leaving a tear in the fabric of reality.… consciousness, leaving a tear in the fabric of reality.
The final five need to figure out how their gifts are meant to fit together in order to set things right. However, coming to terms with the responsibility resting on their shoulders doesn’t come easy. To make matters worse, the demons have found them and unless they get on the same page quickly, the darkness will consume them all. But how can they make things right when the thing that’s missing happened more than 2000 years ago?
One thing’s for sure. If they fail, existence ceases.

Awakening: Rise as the Fall Unfolds: An Urban Fantasy, Alternative History, Angel Thriller (An 8th Dimension Novel Book 3) by Carissa Andrews is a grat story to read. I recommend this story to all to read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
I love Carissa Andrews Pemdomus Series, it is brilliant, and the Oracle is also very good with wonderful characters. The first third of this book has a great mix of characters and interesting story line, I love books written about angels, and then I hit a road bump. I must admit I had mixed feelings about this book at first. All the players are relatively lined up and the story underway then Christianity was brought to the story as being a missing piece to the puzzle. Yes my fears went up and I put the book down. Then again I want to give the book a fair chance and started reading again. I am so glad I did! Ms. Andrews was able to tie it’s importance into the story in such a way that perked my sceptical interest, much like Thea’s, and showed it relevance. I Iove how the group was about to prevent the oncoming apocalypse and the interdimensional travel that assisted in going back 2000 years to right a missing piece. So if you are a bit sceptical like me – Thea, hang in there, you will be delighted.

This was a very entertaining and fast paced read. It’s not my typical book I would pick, but I really enjoyed the way the author took me on a ride and got me to really invest in her characters. Now I just want to say that ending was something else and I want to know more!
Awakening is a standalone story in the 8th Dimension series.
Final Rating: 4 Stars
I wasn’t expecting to like Awakening: Rise as the Fall Unfolds as much as I did. I initially decided to review the book because of the blurb. Then I started reading it, and I devoured the book. DEVOURED. IT. I even (and I NEVER do this) started raving about it to my SO. So yeah, this book was an immense hit with me.
Awakening: Rise as the Fall Unfolds had an exciting plotline. The whole premise of the plot centers around one question: What if Jesus didn’t exist. Thought-provoking, isn’t it? The plotline focuses on a group of people who can go back and make sure He is born. It also shows what a world without Christianity would look like. Again, it was thought-provoking, and I liked it.
The flow of Awakening: Rise as the Fall Unfolds was awkward to read. It switched between five POVs. The author did a fantastic job of putting the name of whose POV was being read at the beginning of the chapters. But, even with all of that in place, I still got turned around at points in the story.
I liked the main characters. The author did a great job of giving each of them a distinct personality. Mike was mellow, Braham was intense, Thea was skeptical, Bea was saucy, and Morgan was optimistic. They melded well together, once they accepted what was happening to them and started working together. The journey to that point was a little bumpy. I liked how each of their abilities was highlighted in the book. It made for an engaging read.
The storyline with Jesus was amazing!! While I know the Biblical story about how Mary conceived, I will say that I liked this one better. I understand that some people will complain and say it is blasphemous. But to me, it made perfect sense.
Awakening: Rise as the Fall Unfolds is part of a series of books. Several other books are before it. I would suggest reading those books first before reading this one. It will give a better picture of the universe this book takes place in. Other than that, it can be read as a stand-alone.
The end of Awakening: Rise as the Fall Unfolds left me with more questions than answers. Which I am hoping will be answered in another book. I am also dying to see how Cassidy reacts to Braham’s surprise.
Five strangers have been pulled together by some unforeseen force and have just discovered who and what they are. The five strangers have just been told that they are angels and that they have a mission to complete or the world as they know it will be no more.
The five angels each have their own special powers and must figure out what they are and how to use them before the darkness comes. The five angels must learn to work together if they are to save the world. They must each put aside their attitudes and their beliefs and open their eyes as to what is before them. They must come together as one if they ever hope to save the world.
There is something missing in the world and to save it the five angels must find this missing piece and put it back together again if they ever hope to make things right again.
The world is made up of goodness and evil and you must know one if you are ever going to know the other. You can’t know one without knowing the other. Sometimes one over powers the other and right now evil is at its most powerful and the darkness is about to hit upon the world. They need to find this missing link to stop the darkness and to put balance back into humans and the world once again.
Awakening is a fast paced read with twists and turns to keep the pages rolling from beginning to end with lots of surprises in between that will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting more.
I would recommend Awakening to all fans of angels, demons and the world coming to an end type of stories.
An Awesome Tale
“Awakening” is an amazing read that is well-written with twists, turns, and adventure in the world of angels. This is a good read.

4 CRANKY STARS
Well, this is not an easy book to review. I couldn’t decide whether to give it 3, 3.5 or 4 stars but ultimately decided on 4 stars. I’m also not sure if this is a Christian story or not. My fear is that some Christians may become upset with the way the ending is handled. I am Christian but not practicing and was offended by how the whole story was handled. I have read lots of books about Angels and Demons. Unfortunately, this one really upset me.
The story starts out well. A young couple is stuck in a traffic jam in California trying to get to Canada. They feel it will be safer up there. It seems that people have gone missing mysteriously all around the world. Not just one or two at a time but sometimes hundreds at once. Then there is a loud Boom. The young husband leaves his wife in the car and, along with another man move up the line of cars to see what is happening. Suddenly they are joined by two women. Then the whole story gets strange. They turn around and all the cars and their occupants are gone. The young husband doesn’t want to leave but the one woman with a car that works, convinces them to go to her house. Her house turns out to be an old church and her husband is waiting for them.
Then the story starts to get weird. I don’t want to give spoilers so suffice it to say, the author introduces us to the Angels and Demons. The whole subject of Christianity is brought up and it is discovered that it is missing in this dimension. The story tells how they must accept who they are and how they will save this dimension. This is where I became offended by what was happening. Please try this book for yourself if you like Angel and Demon stories. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.
I loved this excellent book so much.
I read this book before realising that it was number three in a series. Not that it mattered to me at the time, but I will be reading the others at some point anyway.
Personally, I think that the author made a huge mistake making public what the simple question was that started her off with ‘Awakening’. Luckily, I didn’t see it until after I’d finished. When I came to this particular revelation in the book, I audibly gasped. It’s a fantastic idea and Ms Andrews does it so well, with feeling, lots of emotion, well thought-out and honest writing, dangerous adventure, and most importantly of all, the characters must have complete trust in each other, and we as readers must have faith in them. How can they do this when some of them have no confidence in themselves?
The weight of mankind’s fate rests on their shoulders alone, whilst being attacked from all sides, and the reader feels this – physically, mentally and spiritually – you are pulled this way and that, and you may meet your end. How strong is your love and belief in these people and this world? Total and absolute. A brilliant read.
I chose this book from a selection of others, then voluntarily read and honestly reviewed it. All opinions are my own.
I am definitely not a religious person but this book got to me. One minute you think you have it figured out or that they were not going to make it the next you have no idea what’s going to happen.
This is a great read. The Author brings a great storyline to life on these pages. The world building I felt was a great build to the Stories. A the Magic the Characters had was very creative as well. There were twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. The End of the book Totally blew me away. This Author has a great creative side that really shows in this book. I definitely recommend it.

The end is near. Fix it or the world is gone. No pressure.
With their world literally falling apart, five total strangers are torn away to solve the crisis before it is too late. But they have no clue what is wrong. And they are hunted. By darkness itself. Fortunately, each of the five has a unique talent. They must depend on each other. Must trust one another. No easy task.
Carissa Andrews leads us on a thought-provoking, spiritual journey with the fate of mankind hanging in the balance. Fail and it all ends. Their doubts and fears feel real. Their dialog compelling.
Something is missing. Something important. It may not be what you expect. It may challenge the truth as we know it. Without the missing piece, how could you possible save a world teetering on the edge of destruction? Sometimes fiction can be stranger than truth. Believe it or not, I enjoyed journey.
